The Yogure Region is one of the oldest regions in the pokemon world. It is a rather peaceful place, where little conflict arises, and if it ever does it is usualy resolved quickly. The people who live in this region have a deep connection with their pokemon friends, and their lives are often entangled. For example, there are many farms where pokemon help with the work, and a rather famous ranch where pokemon are bred, raised, and sent out to other regions, such as Kanto and Johto and so on, to supply the new trainers there with their first pokemon. However, not many people know about this region. Pokemon professors from all over the world know of it, but only because of the unique method this region uses when it comes to trainers gaining their first pokemon.
In the Yogure region, trainers are given one pokeball and a pokedex, then sent into the pokemon reserve. While in the reserve they may catch any pokemon they are able to, and that is their starter pokemon. In doing things this way, younger trainers can possibly gain rare and strong pokemon right off the bat, giving them a greater chance in advancing along their journies and reaching their goals, what ever they might be.
But, in a region with such a variety of pokemon, there are always those who would use them for the wrong purposes as well. In the Yogure Region there are two such organizations, Team Dawn and Team Dusk. Little is known about these two seemingly rival teams, but ot cannot be good, as history has taught us about other such 'teams.' It is feared that, as a new group of trainers set forth from their hometown of Brightvine and begin their journies, the two Teams are becoming more active, and it seems the the legendary pokemon who look over this region are begining to stir. If their awsome powers are unleashed because of the two Teams will Yogure be able to survive? Can this new group of trainers stop these events from occuring?

OOC Notes
Ah, the first day of spring, and here in the Yogure Region that means it's the day that a new batch of pokemon trainers are going to start on their very own journey. But, to be more specific, this tale will focus on a small group of trainers tarting out from a town called Brightvine, on the southern most part of Yogure, a small island called Reserve Island, called so because about 80% of this island has been turned into a pokemon reserve, and it is here that the new trainers will find their very first pokemon. You see, unlike normal professors, Professor Pine, or Prof. Pine, believes that trainers should not be limited on their choices for a starter pokemon. And so, his solution? Trainers are given their pokedex and a single pokeball, then sent into the reserve, where they are allowed to choose from any of the many species of pokemon within as their first, and when they exit on the other side they are given the rest of their pokeballs and a map of the Yogure Region.
Brightvine
Brightvine is a small, friendly town, and hope to Prof. Pine, as well as the trainers of this tale. It is set on the southern tip of Reserve Island, and many people call it home. There are those who work with Prof. Pine as researchers in the reserve, gardeners who take part in an annual gardening contest, and those who just want a quiet, simple life. There is no Pokemon Center or Market here, as they don't need one. Few people have pokemon, and if they do they simply grow what they need for them or take them to Prof. Pine.
Pokemon Reserve/Safari Zone
Because of certain winds that blow across the island from the north there are three main sections of the reserve. The eastern section is colder, with a terrain more like a rocky forest rather than a jungle. The centeral area is more or less your basic forest, filled with a large variety of common trees and bushes and such. Lastly the western area recieves the benefits from the northern winds, as this area is sunny, warm, and filled wirh tropical and exotic plants. A large variety of pokemon life in this reserve area, which makes it the perfect spot for trainers to start from.

As the sun began to shine down on Clay Hacienda and his small home he was already awake and at work in his mother's garden. When she had been alive she had loved it, and every year she'd taken a high place in the annual gardening contest, but since her death Clay has been trying, and failing, to maintain it properly. He has been working on it for years now, and because of this he has yet to catch a single pokemon, or ever even leave Brightvine Town.
But today proves to be different. A man in a white lab coat is seen wandering up his walkway to the front door of his home. From around back he can hear the man knocking, then as he begins to call out his name. "Clay? Clay, are you home? This is Alan, I'm one of Professor Pine's aides! The professor...of, there you are Clay. I was begining to worry." Alan says with a nervous laugh. "Good morning Clay, erm, the professor would like you to come and see him at his lab. It's on the edge of the pokemon reserve."
"I know where it is Alan, but why? I'm no trainer, I'm probably too old to start now anyway." Clays says. Normaly children would begin their journey as pokemon trainers at around the age of ten, he was nearly twice that age now, having promised his mother he'd take care of her beloved garden instead.
"Well, you see, Professor Pine has decided that it was time you left Brightvine and began your journey. And he has asked that I stay here at your house and take care of your mother's garden while you're gone. I'm a water and grass type trainer myself, so I'll have no problem taking care of the garden." Alan says with a smile. "Now go on, get your things and head out, got it? You know Pine doesn't like to be kept waiting!"
"Alright, alright, I got it. Just give me a little while." Clay says, letting Alan inside. While Alan looks the place over Clay takes a quick shower, washing all the dirt and such from the garden off, and once through he dries, then changes into his usual clothes, red t-shirt, dark baggy pants, sneakers, jacket, but then he grabs his gloves and headband, suprised they still fit after nine years. He had begged his mother to buy them for him when he turned ten, then never used them. It felt odd, to think that he would be leaving Brightvine, but he knew Alan, he'd been a friend of the family, just as Pine and many other people here in Brightvine, so the place would be left in good hands.
Once dressed, and with his backpack and supplies put together, Clay sets sets out towards Professor Pine's lab, just on the edge of the pokemon reserve. As he moves away from the town he notices other people headed in the same direction. Most look like new, potential trainers. "Oh well. It's not like I want to be the pokemon master or anything, I just want to prove to my father that I can be a great pokemon breeder as well..." Clay mutters, lowering his head a little as he continues on.

Takashi, who liked to be called Taka by most people, walked out of his house with a back pack, not one of those back packs, but the kind that have the strap go around your shoulder, and looked up into the blue sky. "Sure is a great day to start on my dreams." he said to himself and looked back at the voice of his mother.
"Taka! Taka!" she cried out. "Don't forget your notebook! I want you to write a jounral everyday about your adventures!" she continues and Taka lowers his head and turned around.
"I have it already mom. And you don't have to yell, I'm right here." he says face to face with his mother. She then squeezed Taka with surprisingly inhuman strength and let go after Taka was crushed into a pebble.
"I'm just so happy for you. You're going to finally become a gym leader, just like your brother!" she said and Taka's eyes widened, then went back to normal.
"Heh, yeah. Just like my brother." he said but knew that she hadn't learned about what his brother was really doing. Hanging out with gangs and dealing illegal pokemon trades. He might as well be with one of those evil organizations. "I better get going though, can't let the prof wait." he said and began running off in his familiar looking outfit with a simple change in the color scheme. Now to finally become greater than my brother! he thought with excitement as he ran towards the pokemon reserve.

As Clay neared the lab where Prof. Pine would speak to them he let out a sigh. It seemed that the professor was allowing groups of three into the reserve at a time, and there was already a line. It wasn't a particularly long line, but because of the sheer size of the reserve it could take hours before Clay had his chance at catching his own pokemon. Looking towards the front of the line he watches as the professor, and older man, with a thick white beard and large, bushy eyebrows that pretty much hide his eyes, opens the door to his lab and meets the next group. Unlike most professors he wears not only a lab coat, but also a beaten up safari hat, and he walks with a cane made from the tusk of some pokemon.
"Man, this could take all day, and the reserve is closed at night so that now stray pokemon wander in." Clay says, rubbing his face. Then his expression seems to brighten, and he sets his bag down and pulls out a shiny red apple and takes a seat on the ground. "I guess I never did eat breakfast, did I? Can't start my journey after all these years on an empty stomach, now can I?" After rubbing the apple on his shirt, and realizing that he has no idea why people do that, he takes out a pocket knife and begins cutting the apple up and eating it. As he eats he watches the others. It seems not all of them are so young.
True, for the most part these soon-to-be trainers are young, around ten years at the least, but there are older ones as well. Some closer to his own age then he would have expected. Prehaps he did not get such a late start after all. As he thinks back, he can remember hearing of older people who never picked up a pokeball until they could barely hold one in their hand and caught their first pokemon after all that time. There was a saying in Brightvine that the land was created by people, not pokemon, but that they did help quite a bit.

Kidd hurriedly threw his backpack on his shoulder. He screamed at Crow who was silently asleep. "Crow, what are you doing? Get up! We are going to be late!"Crow yawned slowly that angered Kidd. Kidd decided just to grab Crow and throw him over his shoulders. Crow didn't like that as he produced a small shout.
Kidd stomped downstairs out of his room, entering the living room. He tiptoed across the living room quietly hoping. There was no effort as he heard a loud and firm Hmph! Kidd rotated his head toward the direction where the sound came from. He spotted his Mom leaning on the wall with her arms crossed tightly. She slouched with a enraged look that started to break large amounts of sweat from Kidd.
"I thought I said no poke'mon journey!" His mom yelled furiously.
"But Mom! Everyone other kid is doing it!" Kidd begged. Crow covered his ears knowing this conversation was going to lead to more yelling. This resulted into having to balance on Kidd's backpack with his legs.
"Yes, but my-the Kidd won't.My Kidd isn't like any-"
"Isn't like any other kid." Kidd interrupted with a sarcastic tone. "I get the joke for the millionth time!" Kidd's mom always loved to bring that out whenever Kidd desired something that other children owned that he didn't."I want to be a great poke'mon trainer!" Kidd whined hoping to break down his mother.
"What about becoming the best policeman?" His mother questioned.
"That was last week, mother! Now I'm positive I want to become a poke'mon trainer. Me and Crow have been dreaming for this moment for a long time now! Haven't we buddy?" Kidd asked. Crow slowly gave a confused look while turning his head in disagreement.
"It sure doesn't look like it. Look, I'll let you go. I'll stay here alone without my son to keep me company. I won't have anyone beside me." His mother began pouring tears that glided down her cheek. He widened her arms out squeezing Kidd and Crow in a tightened hug.
"Mom! Mom! Stop crying! I'm going to suffocate!" Kidd kept gasping for sudden air when his mom released both of them. She smiled nicely gazing at her son. She began recollecting old memories of his childhood. She sighed slowly and began speaking.
"Okay. I'm ready to let you go. Just be sure to come back greater and stronger. Crow, look after my son as your possibly the smarter of the pair." Kidd stared angrily at Crow who smiled charmly. "Now change your underwear from-
Knowing this take possibly an hour till Kidd's mom finished with her preparence speech Kidd did the intellectual. He quickly hugged his mom softly. He timed his wording on what would be the exact momment to speak. He could feel the awkwardness growing. His legs started shaking on how stupid this was. He gave a firm 'I Love You. After that sentence he thanked his mom for the parenting in his childhood. Crow quietly chuckled to himself. Kidd couldn't handle more of this dramatic momment. He quickly explained that he needs to get Poke'mon Reserve or there'll be a long line. He zoomed across the living room and opened the door that leads outside. He hurriedly jogged toward the Reserve while hearing his mom yelling out more sentences that everyone could hear. She's still talking!? I should've just left! Now there's going to be a huge line! Well, I'm quite early so hopefully it won't be that long.
Kidd and Abra jaws dropped down in shock. They scanned as they could see a narrow line of people's heads stretch for quite a while. Kidd didn't noticed the person sitting at his legs. He accidently kicked him repeating a instict 'Sorry'. He was quite old for a starting poke'mon trainer, but Kidd really couldn't figure out how ten year olds are beggining journeys so it make about half as sense that he'll be eighty years. The person had apple pieces in his mouth as he chewed quietly.
"Are you part of this line and if so how long have you been waiting?" Kidd kindly asked.

Taka continued walking down the path when he saw the pokemon reserve. "Finally, after an hour of walking." Taka sighed in relief and saw a man eating an apple along with a boy standing next to him. Huh? Are they part of the line? Eh, just to make sure, I'll stand behind them. he thought and walked up to the boys and stood nearby them. "Hello." he said quietly and looked away. Taka was often shy of meeting new people, but it was better than assuming they weren't part of the line and going ahead of them. He then looked in his backpack, moving things side to side, and sighed in disappointment, then closed it and reached into his right pocket and pulled out a pokemon pen (it changes between red, black, blue, and a mechanical pencil) and twisted it until he got the red pen, then sat on the grass and drew a pokeball on his left hand.

"Hm? Oh, don't worry about it." Clay says, looking up at the boy, watching as he looks the line over as he had done not too long ago. "Oh, not very long. It seems the professor is letting in groups of three at a time, that's why the line's so long. Isn't it kind of odd for a new trainer to already have a pokemon though? Especially one that isn't all that common here on the island?" Clay had seen a few pokemon wandering around every now and then, but usualy it was something common, a Bulbasaur or Ladyba, never an Abra though, as far as he could remember.
Before he could get an answer, however, another boy walked over to them. He seemed a bit shy and said only one word before sitting down and starting to doodle on his hand. "Hello to you. Oh, where are my manners. My name is Clay Hacienda, nice to meet the both of you. Would either of you like some of my apple? I probably won't be able to finish it on my own, never was one for eating so early."
Looking away from the two of them for a moment Clay noted that the line seemed to be shortening rather quickly. Maybe the professor had decided that there were too many kids to keep waiting, or maybe they weren't taking as long as he thought. Looking back the other way, he noted that it looked him his small group would be the last to enter the reserve, seeing as how no more seemed to be headed their way. With a smile Clay stands, the half of an apple and pocket knife in one hand, and stretches a bit. "Looks like we might make it in before nigthfall after all. Good, I've been waiting a long time for this day..."

"That's such a relieve. I really didn't want to be standing here forever." Kidd stretched his hand offering a shake. "Kidd-Kidd Phenoix. I'm hoping to become a strong poke'mon trainer. My friend is here is called Crow." Crow stuck out his hand as if imitating Kidd. "I wouldn't think of myself to already be ahead of other trainers. Crow is mostly just a house cat that sleeps and eats." Crow began sticking his claws onto Kidd in frustration. Kidd attempted to hide the pain while talking. "Yeah, Crow is from a DIFFERent place. My FATHER gave me him as a present. Only GOOd thing he has EVer done." Kidd noticed the line decreasing a bit faster too. He smiled happidly and churned his head toward the artistic kid. "BetTERr save your drawings for latER. Line's movING." Kidd couldn't hide the pain anymore and yelled at Crow some more. Crow ignored him and continue on with the pain.

Taka looked up when he heard the line was moving and closed his pen, then got up and began walking towards the decreasing line. "Oh," he spoke and turned around. "My name is Taka." he said, then looked to the ground. "Takashi Besu." he quickly corrected himself and gave them a little, polite smile. "We should get going." he said and looked on his hand to only see the top half of a pokemon. One day... I'll be a gym leader... maye even elite four... right dad? he said to himself and smiled.

(Music is not going to be able to post in here after all, so I'll take over whatever NPCs we need, Hirochi i trust you can handle the rest.)
"Nice to meet you, Kidd, Taka, my name's Clay." He says with a smile, purposefully not mentioning his last name. Many people in Yogure know the name Hacienda because of the famous Morter Hacienda, but few know of his son, and he'd like to keep it that way. Reaching out he shakes Kidd's hand, then pats Crow on the head. "I think I'm going to like this little guy." Looking back over at Kidd he frowns a little though, trying to decide if the kid is shy or depressed. "Well, come on, might as well get moving. Look, the last group's entering the reserve now."
Indeed, looking back over Kidd's head Clay sees the last group of three kids, two boys and a girl, running excitedly into the Lab, followed by Professor Pine. When the other two are ready Clay walks with them over to the entrance, letting them get ahead of him. "So, you two been getting ready to be trainers for a while? I just learned I'd be doing this today actually..." He says, making small talk, scratching the back of his head. "I had wanted to since I was young, but..."
Clay trails off as the doors open and Professor Pine walks out. It is a short, stout man with a bushy white beard and huge white eyebrows, so large you can't really even see his eyes. He wears a lab coat, but it's open, and you can see what looks like a safari outfit on under it. In his left hand he clutches a walking cane, which looks as if it may have been made from a pokemon's tusk or horn, his right pocket is hidden in the pocket of his coat. "Ah, good morning fellows!" Prof. Pine says, with a slightly off accent. "You boys ready for an adventure? Jolly good then, come along! Paris, show then to the gate!" At his call a rather large Parasect appears, sporting a bushy white mustache, with wrinkles in his mushroomed back. Paris greets, "Para sect sect, arasec!" then begins to lead them on towards the gate.
"Ah, here we are fellows, the Reserve Island Pokemon Research Center and Safari Zone for the Yogure Region, or the RIPRCSZ, as I call it (rip-ercs-z)." Pine says, obviously feeling very pleased with himself. "Reminds me of the time mt friend and I tracked a Rhyhorn through the depths of the Kanto Region...took us three days...we had nearly ran out of rocks to throw at it and..." As the professor blathers on Paris makes a noise, then takes the three pokeballs the man was holding and passes them out to the trainers. "Hm? Oh, yes, anyway...where the devil...oh, thank you my good Paris. Now boys, here are your pokedex, take good care of them, costs a bloody diamond cave to have them repaired...now, scamper on out!" There is a buzz and then the gates open.

Taka followed Clay into the building and saw the proffesor, nothing to special. He was off in his own mind though when he was explaining everything and was imagining his first pokemon. What would it be? A Clouis? Firco? Or something more subtle but powerful in the end like a Inupup? Taka was obviously in his own world and anyone who looked at his facial expression could tell, though he was looking at the floor near Prof. Pine's feet.

Kidd inputed the items in his backpack on the side pocket. He watched the doors open. For almost everyone they opened like any normal doors. Kidd saw it differently. He watched as they opened in slowmotion revealing a bright light. It was a dream awakening that called his name. Kidd felt the tension and commitment that was required for this dream. Kidd was definently ready for anything. He smiled at Crow that could feel the same energy that was lifting. "Are you ready?" Kidd whispered. Crow nodded slowly agreeing with Kidd. Kidd took a breather and lifted his legs preparing to run to his dream.
"Damit!" Kidd screamed in pain. He layed outside on the ground about two steps away from the door. He massaged his knees slowy as they burned. Crow quite angry picked his shoelaces up giving Kidd a clue. "I know! I know!" Kidd whined. Kidd mumbled as he began tieing his shoes impatiently.

Clay, to be honest, still felt very out of place here in the lab. Here he was, nineteen, living onhis own already, and not a pokemon to his name...well, that wasn't exactly true. On his father's ranch he had several pokemon, mainly Tauros, Miltank, and Kalfling, all gifts from his father when he believed his son would move to the ranch to live with him after his mother passed on. But now here he was, standing on the threshhold of his very own pokemon journey. Shaking his head, Clay slips the poke'dex into his pants pocket, then looks to the other two. Kidd was on the ground, tying his shoes, and Taka was off in his own little world.
"Well, come on your two." Clay says, placing a hand on Taka's shoulder to gently shake him back to reality, then walking over and helping Kidd finish quickly with his shoes, "Let's get a move on, the pokemon will all be heading off to bed, and we'll have to wait till next year if we don't!" With that he gives them a smile and helps Kidd to his feet, then starts slowly forward, going slow enough for them to quickly catch up if they want.
As the three make their way into the reserve they can hear pokemon scampering about in the tall grass, in the limbs of trees, and seemingly all around them. Looking around Clay spots a few common pokemon, Weedle, Caterpie, Wurmple, crawling about the trees all around them, as if this were something they saw every day, which was probably more or less true. In the tall grasses he could see the heads of a few Chikorita and the tips of a few Bulbasaur bulbs. It seemed that in the inital area there were mostly just common pokemon, and they would need to head deeper into the areas to find something unique.

The grass brighten as the solar sun shined on it creating a lighter green. The trees towered above the grass with its giant tree trunks. The wind let out a slight breeze that swayed the calm grass and silent leaves nesting on the branches. Kidd breathed in the air taking a moment to gaze at the beauty of the scenery. He noticed little bug-type poke'mon recklessly moving through the tall grass making their movements easily spottable. Chikoritas and Bulbasaurs were difficult to sight as they showed tiny parts of their body and moved more silently.
Kidd discarded one of his poke'balls giving some thought to them. Crow waited patiently staring into the quiet grass. Kidd sighed releasing the poke'mon back into his pocket. He slowly started speaking. "I think this is one of the hardest tasks of being a poke'mon trainer. Having to choose what your poke'mon team is going to include. Don't you agree?" Kidd turned over to Clay and Taka hoping for response. "Well, hopefully I'll come across a grass type later. Too soon to be catching poke'mon. Anyway, how about we walk a bit more farther? I'm sure we'll find more poke'mon. If we get attacked I'm sure Crow will protect us! Right,Crow?" Kidd asked eagerly. Crow was sounded asleep on Kidd's back. The wind rustled the grass once more making the moment quite arkward.
"Wake up you lazy, good for nothing poke'mon!" Kidd shouted as he stomped furiously waking up Crow in a grouchy mood. Crow began pinching Kidd which resulted him screaming "ows" and "quit its".

Taka recieved his pokedex and his face glowed with excitement. He then ran away into the reserve then stopped and looked around to see which direction he'd go in. He saw a shadey forest and thought, I wonder what pokemon would be in there? He began running towards that direction, then stopped and began walking to make sure the pokemon would not run in fear. He was watching the wildlife. He saw some Chikoritas, Catterpies, and a few Strawdrys, but nothing that perked his curiosity. He then noticed a jack-in-the-box-type pokemon behind a tree tricking a Strawdry, a scarecrow-looking pokemon with different shaped eyes, into giving him his berries. The jack-in-the-box laughed a creepy laugh and grabbed the berries, then began hopping away towards Taka, laughing. Taka was then bumbed by the strange pokemon that seemed stuned to meet him. It fell over and wiggled around as it tried to get up, then closed the lid by scruntching his body into the box and rolling upright and opened back up and sprung his body into Taka. Taka gave a little groan as his stomach was attacked by the weird pokemon. It looked up at Taka, standind like a giant against him, and scruntched it's body and reached into his box and pulled out a blue, spherical, berry and offered it to Taka. He gladly bent down and accepted the gift and the creature just looked at him with sincere eyes. Taka looked at the berry and gulped as he went to bite into it, but his teether were stopped by the firmness of the fruit. "Ow!" he cried out as his teeth seemingly shattered and the pokemon laughed. "Grrr..." he mumbled growing angry from falling into one of its tricks. He then pulled out his pokedex and scanned the pokemon.
"Yamjista, the Prankster Pokemon. Yamijista is most commonly found in urban areas and are known for their stale sense of humor."
"Yamjista, eh?" Taka said as he looked at the pokemon and grinned. "Would you like to go on an adventure with me? There'll be lots of other pokemon to prank." he said and the pokemon smiled and hopped up and down, probably accepting his offer.

Clay watched as the other two started off. Taka, although shy, seemed very excited by everything, and took off towards a shady looking area among a stand of trees, while Kidd ended up fighting with Crow. Aith a laugh Clay takes a few steps forward then looks around. "Well guys, I guess we can just meet up on the other side, what do you say? I want to go explore the warmer side of the island, so excuse me." He waves to them then starts off towards the north west area, where everything is warmer and sunnier, and there are more likely to be harder to find grass type pokemon, as well as some water and other such kinds.
After a few minutes of walking, and passing by pokemon, he comes across the warm sunbeams that begin the area. Looking at his pokedex he already has several species recorded just from his stroll in this direction, and as he scrolls through them it beeps. Looking up he finds a Tropetite, and his pokedex reads off the entry, "Tropetite, the unevolved form of Tropius. These pokemon love the scent of flowers so much that bright yellow petals grow around their necks." Looking from the picture in the pokedex back to the real thing Clay smiles. "A Tropius...that'd be a great pokemon to protect my garden. It's a grass type, and it grows fairly large, so it could look over everything..." He says to himself, but when he slips the pokedex away and moves closer the pokemon runs off with a limp. "Oh no, it's hurt...maybe I can help it. Calm down little guy, I'm not going to hurt you..."
Moving closer once more the pokemon looks over it's shoulder and lets out a cry, then Clay hears a buzzing sound and turns just in time to see a rather angry looking Beedrill flying towards them. "Oh crap, there's few things worse than an angry Beedrill!" Clay cries, grabbing up a branch and swatting away at the pokemon. "Leave us alone! Get! Go away you overgrown wasp!" He keeps yelling and swatting, and eventually the pokemon flies off, leaving Clay and the injured Tropetite. "There...finally," Clay says, tossing the branch aside and turning to the pokemon once more, "Here, let me see that." Kneeling beside it he takes it's injured leg and begins to bandage it. As he does this the pokeball he was given slips out of his pocket, and when the Tropetite sees it he lets out a small, happy cry and pokes it with his nose, causing it to open up and swallow him. The ball shakes and glows for a moment, then stops and Clay picks it up, smiling.

Kidd and Crow breathed heavily after their struggle. They looked around finding Clay and Taka walking away. "Well, it looks they've went their own ways, Crow. Or of course they just left us because they don't like you." Kidd smiled evily teasing Crow. Crow pierced his eyes hoping to think of a way to get back at Kidd. Kidd gestured Crow to follow along as they walked deeper into the tall grass. Kidd could see the bulbasaurs and chikoritas more cleary as they would always brush against Kidd's legs. One chikorita actually tripped Kidd which resulted a laughing Crow. Suddenly, Kidd began chuckling as a bulbasaur frightened by Crow's laughter tackled him.
As Kidd and Crow brushed themselves off they continued more further down. Kidd could hear his poke'dex beep rapidly in his pocket as he discovered different poke'mon. Kidd felt discouraged as he wasn't finding any poke'mon that he desired. Crow would usally help Kidd by pointing at poke'mon. As KIdd was almost about to quit as his eyes glowed in excitement. "What is that?!" Kidd screamed happidly, pulling his poke'dex out. The poke'mon calmly relaxed on a tree being annoyed by Kidd's frequent yelling. The poke'dex began speaking with Kidd's ears perked.
"Treecko, a grass-typed poke'mon that is based heavily off a lizard or gecko. Treecko is the only grass type to be able to climb trees. Treecko-" Kidd shut it off quickly already having enough information. Kidd ordered Crow to ready himself. Crow stepped in front of Kidd staring at the Treecko. Treecko noticed what was going on. He slided gracefully off the tree confronting Crow. "Treecko, I choose you! To be in our team!" Obviously, Treecko didn't take kindly to this. Treecko immediatly shot bullet seeds that torpedoed there way toward Crow. By reaction Kidd yelled for Crow to teleport. Crow did as told teleporting behind Treecko.
Distracted at the sight of the bullet seeds impacting Kidd caused Crow to laugh. Treecko rotated around giving a roundhouse kick. Crow slided across the ground toward the tree that Treeko relaxed upon. Crow angry brushed himself off putting on his game face. Treecko laughed while looking at both Kidd and Crow seeing how pathetic they are. "A poke'mon is laughing at us. Reality is harsh isn't it, Crow? Well, Treeko we're going to show you how me and Crow work. Go get em Crow!"
Crow began teleporting around Treeko confusing him. It was hard to keep track of Crow, but then Crow finally gave a strike to the back of Treeko. Treeko quite mad jumped to a nearby tree signaling Crow to take it up to the skys. Crow didn't expect this and started to think of a strategy. Treecko decided Crow was wasting time and sent a few bullets to speed up time. Crow hurriedly teleported after taking a few bullets. He landed on a tree branch while taking some sudden hits from Treeko. This is bad. Treecko changed the battle and now Crow reduced his amount of teleportation. Crow tried teleporting again to another branch, but nearly fell. Treecko was winning this battle, getting every strike he can to Crow. Crow was nearly beaten till he realized something. He began clawing and punching the branch Treeko and him were on. It collapsed resulting Treeko to reach for another branch.
Crow smartly teleported to the branch that Treecko was reaching for. While Treecko was going airbourne Crow smacked him sending him to the floor. Kidd used this advantage and tossed a poke'ball at Crow. Crow kicked the poke'ball toward Treecko. The poke'ball bounced on his head throwing a red beam of light capturing the unexpected Treecko in air. The poke'ball landed witha thudd as it shaked and stirred. Crow and Kidd watched patiently and screamed when the stirring poke'ball came to a halt. "We've got a new partner!" Kidd screamed.

Once the pokeball stopped shaking Clay stood up with a smile and picked it up, looking it over as if it were a priceless gem. After a moment he moves into a clearing and tosses it out before him, saying, "Come on out Tropetite!" The ball lands and opens up and there stands his new partner, who greets him with a joyful cry and runs over to him, leaping into his arms, which causes him to fall back on his behind. "Whoa, settle down Tropetite, you're too heavy for me to carry around, I'm sorry!" Clay says with a laugh.
Tropetite gives another little cry then stands and moves off his trainer, then looks around, finally setting his eyes on the other end of the reserve. "Petite? Tropet?" He seems to asks, nodding in that direction.
"Yes, I suppose we should hurry along. Maybe the other two have found a pokemon as well by now." Clay says with a laugh, wiping the dirt from his clothes. "Come on...you know, I think you need a nickname. Tropetite is nice and all, but it's sort of a mouthful. Maybe I can think of something short to call you soon." He says, patting his partner on the head as they both set off towards the other end of the reserve.
When they arrive the sun is already past it's highest point, meaning it's past time for lunch. Clay's stomach grumbles, angry at him, as they near the gate, and Tropetite gives him a curious look and a tilt of his head. "Don't worry boy, just hungry. I'm sure the professor will have some kind of snack for us when we get out of here." Clay answers the look, "Besides, if nothing else he seems the type to carry around sweets in his pockets..." This causes the pokemon walking beside him to give an odd noise, which Clay takes as a laugh. Looking up ahead he can see the gate, and there stands Professor Pine, along with his Parasect, Paris. From what Clay can tell he seems to be speaking with a couple of park rangers, and as they get closer he overhears them speaking about some city pokemon getting loose inside the reserve, namely a rather troublesome Yamjista.

Kidd slowly grasped the poke'ball in his hands wiping the dirt off of it. He hesitates for a moment and launches it calling for his poke'mon. "Go! I choose you, Treeko!" Treeko appeared with a angered face staring at Crow and Kidd with their arms opened wide. "Now you're on our team! Won't this be great?" Crow smiled gracefully giving out the same response. Treeko gave a small grin. He walked over to Kidd and Crow. He attacked Crow with a punch and sended Kidd a few bullet seeds. Treeko rushed over to the trees hoping he could escape, but a sudden red light caught him once again.
Kidd spitted some seeds out while Crow rubbed the side of his cheek. Kidd whispered sofly to his poke'ball wondering if Treeko could hear. "Oh, c'mon! Don't be like that. I'm going to take you all over this place. I choose you to help me on my way to be a poke'mon god! Haven't you ever want to see what's behind this forest?" Kidd called out Treeko again. Treeko crossed his arms, attached with a pouting face Treeko didn't attack no more.
Kidd started thinking as he rubbed his chin slightly. "Now all you need is a awesome name!" Treeko didn't like the sound of this. His face grew immediate sour. "I'm going to call you, Little Green! Do you like it?" Treeko morphed into a red color. He gave his answer quite clearly by giving a quick punch to the gut to Kidd. Kidd breathed out a gust of air and replied "We can work on your name later."
After, Kidd and Crow slowly walked through the tall grass. The ends of the blades of grass tickled their faces. They stared at Treeko for a couple of momments who decided to leap through the trees by himself. "Umm, Treeko why don't you come on down and walk with us?" Treeko sended his response with a tiny bullet seed at Kidd's shoes. "Hmm, I see. Hey, how about I call you Gecko!? It's not that much from Treeko!" Treeko rolled his eyes not giving Kidd one look. Treeko already heard a bunch of names that were thrown at him on this walk. "Well, you know just go ahead and think about it." Kidd said noticed that Treeko was in fact ignoring him.
Farther the three hiked Kidd spotted a group of people conversating. Kidd immediatly noticed Clay and reaction cuffed his hands to scream a "hey". Kidd spotted a creature around Clay's leg and wondered if that seemed to be his new poke'mon. Kidd rotated his head upwards looking at Treeko. Kidd's cheeks turned bright red imagining the look on Clay's face when he notices Treeko's "personality".

"Alright." says Taka as he picks up the Yamjista, barely able to for long. "Ugh... heh... yo-you're k-kinda... Woah!" he yells as he drops the unusually heavy pokemon. It was the size of a jack-in-the-box, yet weighted like a cat. Though that may not be a lot to you and me, Taka doesn't do physical labor often and the most work he does is drawing. Yamjista then hobbled back up and noticed said drawing on Taka's hand. "Oh? Hah hah. I saw bored." he explains as Yamjista pointed at his arm and giggled. The pokemon jumped up and down and kept pointing at the drawing. "A pokeball? OH! A pokeball!" he finally realizes and grabs one out of his right pocket and expands it. Taka kneels down and pointed it at Yamjista and begins to talk to him. "If you accept, then a world of adventure awaits. You'll be able to prank many pokemon and many people too. We can be best friends and better allies. In fact, we ca-" but before he can finish, the pokemon headbutts the pokeball and activates it letting it capture himself. "Wha... oh..." Taka exlaims, then realizes the pokemon already made up it's mind. The ball rolled on the ground three times in opposite directions, then sparkled as it made a sound of approval. Taka picked up the ball and smiled. "Thank you... my friend."

Looking over, Professor Pine spots Clay, and father away Kidd. "Ah, so I see that two of the new trainers have made their way to the end." He says happily, looking back to the park rangers. "You two go on. It's getting late, so prepare to close the reserve as usual, and we can look for this wild pokemon, alright?" They nod then turns and heads back off into the trees. "Now, where is the third member of this little group?"
"Well, we split up shirtly after entering the reserve, professor." Clay says as he walks over, Tropetite following close behind, seeming a little shy around the man. "I haven't seen either of them until just now." Turning to Kidd he gives him a smile. "Have any luck finding a starter pokemon Kidd? What's with that look?" Following his gaze up he notices something moving around in the trees, but he can't make out exactly what it is. At his side Tropetite speaks up, sounding a bit happy as they approach. "What is it? You know that pokemon or something? Becuae I know you've never met Kidd before..."
"Well, it's good to see you two have a pokemon now. I find it a little funny to see two grass types as starters," Pine says with a laugh. "Did you know that in most other regions trainers are forced to choose between only three starter pokemon? One fire, one water, and one grass? And that at one time only three trainers are usually allowed to begin their journey, because they always give out the same three starter...barbaric..."

Taka began walking to the end of the reserve, pokeball in hand and a smile on his face, when suddenly, out of the blue, a red gecko with flames on it's back came out and jumped in front of Taka's path. It was no bigger than a foot, but it looked pretty hostile. "Sheah!" it screamed in a serpent-like way.
"Auh! Um..." Taka responded and pulled out his pokedex.
"Firco, the flaming gecko. It is of the fire origin and is weak to water-based attacks. Firco are consider one of the most arogant pokemon." Dex responded and Taka smiled, but remembered he did not have another pokeball.
"Ugh... oh well, go Yamjista!" he called out as he threw his pokeball into the sky and made an eclipse for Firco when suddenly a stream of red energy landed on the ground and formed into Yamjista who jumped out at Firco while his box-body stayed in one spot. "Go! Use... er..." Taka began the changed his pokedex to Abilities.
"Yamijsta knows Laugh, Sucker Punch, and Slash." Dex responded and Taka closed it thinking of the best move.
"Use Sucker Punch!" he called out and Yamjista brought himself together and waited for Firco to do something. It jumped in the air and was about to use Ember, but Yamjista shot he body out and punched it in the stomach and sent it flying into a tree. A few more Firco came out of nowhere, but they came to spectate instead. "Now use Slash!" Taka called as the Firco was still against the tree and Yamjista slashed at it before it fell to the ground sending it towards the tree again. The Firco fell to the ground and was unconsious and Yamjista grinned and jumped around happily. "Heh, good job." Taka complimented as he returned Yamjista to the pokeball. He began walking away and the Firco's gathered around the unconsious one, and a certain curious one watched Taka leave, and began following him from a distance.

Kidd nervously shivered gazing up wondering if Treeko would come out of hiding. He tried to pinpoint the location finding some sort of rustle in the leaves. Kidd's eyes widened finally locating Treeko. He mouthed the word no slowly realizing what Treeko was doing.
Seed bullets launched impaling Kidd with great force. Some launched toward Clay and the professor. Abra teleported toward the area pushing Treeko out of the trees. Treeko seemed to be in a cheerful mood after his rude entrance. Kidd apoligized for the behavior of his new poke'mon, He explained very cleary about meeting this poke'mon. Treeko smiled a evil grin while chuckling, thinking of the reactions he just encountered.

Before Clay or Pine could react Tropetite used Razor Leaf. Most of the seeds sent towards them were either knocked aside or sliced in two, however, as the pokemon is still young and it's aim is off, a few do get through. Clay was just about to say something, and ends up catching a seed in his mouth and swallowing it. Another nearly hits Pine, but suprisingly he knocks it aside with his rather narrow cane, then gives the gecko pokemon a rather stern look before setting his sights on Kidd. "You have a long road ahead of you if you really chose him as your first pokemon, my boy..." Pine says with a sigh. "I look forawrd to your progress. after all, history was never made my doing anything easy." He says this after the boy explains himself, then looks behind him to see Taka approaching. "Ah, there you are! Very good. Now, I'm sure you all would like to catch up and share experiences and what not, but I am afraid you need to be going now. There is a ship, just down the road in Triport, which will ferry you across the water to Cropdale. The first pokemon gym is there, you know."
All this time Clay has been turned away, coughing, trying to get the seed out, mainly because he was just freaked out by the attack. Tropetite uses a vine from the petal on the back of his neck and pats his new trainers back. After a few moments through he stops and listens to Pine. After the professor speaks he hurries them all out of the reserve, and after giving them their other pokeballs he waves them away and closes the agtes behind them.
"Well, that was...eventful..." Clay says, looking around at everyone while petting his pokemon. "Good to see you guys made it through. So, I guess the next question is, do you wanna keep traveling together like this?" As he asks they begin walking down the path, which quickly turns into a road, which will take them to Triport City. They should reach it within an hour or two, and after that it'll only take a few minutes to reach and then board the ferry.

Kidd still shooked by Treeko's rudeness. He thought about the words of Professor Pine becoming annoyed words that stirred in his head. He caught a little of what Clay was rambling on about. All three of the trainers walked casually with their poke'mon. Kidd scratched his hair giving a response.
"You're pretty cool, Clay. It is quite dangerous and boring to travel alone. I'll join you for this adventure if you want me to." Kidd quietly mumbled waiting for a response, He stared into the sky mindlessly, faking that he spotted something interesting in the clouds.
He decided to stare at Crow and Treeko how they were feeling at this moment. Crow smiled nicely walking through trying to catch up with us. Treeko on the other hand became a different emotion from Crow. Treeko crossed his arms with a pouted face glued. Treeko didn't enjoy this walk. Kidd persuaded himself to whistle a song, attempting to ease the mood.

Taka followed them quietly, though he wanted to travel along with them, he'd give no specific replay other than the nod he gave when Clay asked the question of working together. All along this time, the curious Firco followed them from far behind, unsuspectingly. Hiding tree to tree to watch their every movement. It managed to escape the reserve somehow, but now it was most certain to anyone that it would follow them until it finally made it's acquaintance to the one who defeated the Firco, Taka and his Yamjista.

Re: [OOC] Plot?
Hey, I've been off of the site for a while and just started getting back on, i was wondering about how or when i could introduce my character since i've yet to do so.
Re: [OOC] Plot?
it's alright Hirochi, i understand. i'll, idk, maybe have your brother show up and pick you up or something?
and Red, hm, well, i'm about to post us heading towards the gym and into some tall grass, you could be in the grass already, looking around for new pokemon or something

Re: [OOC] Plot?
Sorry about not posting in a while. I've been busy with joining the Navy and such. Please can you like have my dude disappear for a while and maybe just continue on and later I'll jump back in when I have more time and reRP with you guys.Sorry if I've been holding you guys back, but I haven' had much time to go on here recently. I'll post in here when I get more time on my hands, but for now, fare thee well
Re: [OOC] Plot?
okay, so i talked to him, he said he's been busy so just to move on with the story if we have to, just say he follows us and what not. so i'll try and post soon
Re: [OOC] Plot?
well, i've got a grass type, as does Lion, as and Abra can only use teleport, unless he was taught hidden power. your Yamjista (?) may be able to handle his own, but that Firco would help out i'm sure...i was thinking of catching some simple pokemon, like maybe that Hopawk i made up earlier...just something that will probably get placed in the PC later on
and that's fine about the time. it seems the entire site is going slow. it'll probably be late tomorrow before i post, my nephew is supposed to come hang out after school

Re: [OOC] Plot?
yeah, but consider this: the first gym is Grass/Normal with 1 flying/Water type. But another pokemon would help. Maybe I can finally catch that Firco that's been following us, heh. Oh, and I'm going to post soon. Haven't had much time recently, but i have a later start tomorow so I'll be able to post before school, at noon.
Re: [OOC] Plot?
hm, and archeologist...that would certainly be an interesting fight...he could have high lvl fossil pokemon, and just all around strong ones...sure, it can work, just need to figure out where to fight him and such
i'm thinking that, shortly after we reach Cropdale, a group of trainers chalange us to a battle, just to have one in the story really ^_^...maybe they're from the same place as us, or maybe they go to the local pokemon school or something. we could have a 3v3 battle...
also, i think we should catch at least another pokemon before attempting the gym there cause, let's face it...we're pathetic as it stands...just caught them, one battle between the 3 of us...

Re: [OOC] Plot?
Hey, Soul I have an idea. I'm hoping for another rival. In my character bio, one of the OTHER FACTS state that Kidd's father abandon him and his mother to study poke'mon. Yeah, by studying poke'mon I'm implying that went on to become a poke'mon archeologist. I still want to keep my current rival. Maybe, we can have 3v1 against him b/c I'm imagining him having uber poke'mon since he's an archelologist.
Re: [OOC] Plot?
if you guys want, in my next post i'll speed us up till we're on the ship and headed for Cropdale, then whoever posts after me can have us arrive and gets off the ship and so on...this is going slower than i expected it to so far...
Re: [OOC] Plot?
yeah, that's fine. i was trying to think of something to happen before we get there but i couldn't, so i left tha oppertunity open. i thought someone might have known of something they wanted
Re: [OOC] Plot?
Is it okay if I have a random member from my brother's gang challenge me to a fight? I'd rather say more than "Taka agreed to going to the pokemon center."

Re: [OOC] Plot?
Lion, your rival reminds me of the one from Silver and Gold, the one who hates all things weak and stupid, i like that idea...let's see, you have a Treecko and Abra, right? for his starter he could have some type of fire or...dark is good against psychic, right? maybe he has a Houndour that later evolves into a Houndoom? only one i could think of right off as a newer trainer...he could always be from whereever else and have pokemon from that area...
Re: [OOC] Plot?
I'm a bit brainstorming here, but I'm hoping to have a enemy charcter that towers over me. Seeing how my poke'mon are all small, but agile and fast, I'll go ahead and give whatever poke'mon that looks like they've been injected with steroids. My conflict I'm hoping to be where he feels threaten or sees something to bully when he hears Kidd what's to be something more than poke'mon master. He loathes to see idiots running around dreamchasing.
Re: [OOC] Plot?
alright, that works
i was thinking mine would be a new trainer who knows who my dad is and hates me for it, so he'll try and beat me at everything...he'll have some fire pokemon as a starter...

Re: [OOC] Plot?
I'll have my brother show up when we get off port and I'll battle him. He'll be my Rival throughout the RP, but also my superior who tips me during battles, knowing full well Taka wants to be a gym leader and all.
