Introduction

In a stereotypical comic book superhero setting, super heroes and supervillains are commonplace, but it doesn't mean that they are necessarily liked. Their battles, often big and theatrical, are now seen as annoying and unproductive, especially considering the massive amounts of damage these battles cause to the city and to private property. And it's not just the villains under fire. The heroes have their own hatedoms as well. Heroes are seen as egotistical performers under the guise of crime fighters getting involved in matter best handled by the police or other legal means. These heroes were once regarded as the saviors of their respective city, but are now being ostracized by the very people they try to protect. Now many cities, nationwide, have banned all forms of super powered crime fighting, causing many heroes to lose their job and sole identity. As the number of heroes declined, super powered villains found committing crimes to be a bore, without big, city destroying battles to complete the experience, and the number of supervillains declined as well. But what happened to these once mighty heroes and villains? What are they doing now, now that they are no longer fighting each other?

A company known as Power Inc has arrived and offered everyone a simple solution. It was a place for former superheroes and supervillains to put their super powers to a much more productive use. Power Inc is a super power employment agency whose soul purpose is to take a client, a former hero or villain, and match them with a job that best suits their talents. If a job is not available, Power Inc will create one in their own company. Individuals who possessed super strength were matched into jobs in the construction industry, demolishing buildings and crushing rubble. Individuals with healing abilities became doctors or nurses. Characters with sight seeing abilities became news reporters, reporting the news "Before it happens" and characters with weather manipulation became weathermen.

Given their new jobs, former heroes and villains must learn to live relatively normal lives, resisting the urge to commit or even to fight crimes. They are often forced to work side by side with other former supers, whether they be former allies, or former foes. And although this new lifestyle may be different for them, they may begin to discover something new about themselves and about each other once they learn to look beneath the masks, the catchphrases, and the flashy powers, and see each other as individuals.

This RP is meant to be a parody of the superhero genre and will be comedic by nature. Characters can be very exaggerated and one dimensional. Dialogue can be as corny, cheesy or camp as you wish. Original characters only, please, meaning that these characters belong to you and not borrowed from some other source, although they can be a parody of any character you like. For example, no Batmans, although a Batman-like character named GnatGuy is perfectly acceptable.

We could use all the heroes and villains as we can get, although we also need Power Inc staff workers, who are usually normal folks without any powers or secret identity whatsoever, which can include secretaries, scouts (Searches and recruits former supers to join Power Inc), Agents (The folks that work with the clients and match them with appropriate jobs), Surveyors (Follow up on the clients, sometimes visiting them on site, to ensure that they have been matched with the appropriate job), among other positions. We could also use politicians, reporters, and every day citizens who are now forced to work with the supers in the work place.
