Prox·im·i·ty [prok-sim-i-tee] –noun Nearness in place, time, order, occurrence, or relation.
The two figures peered into a gap in front of them. It was a dark hole, floating on the horizon in front of them. A bright green and white light drifted within it; floating in a cosmic plasma essence. The taller of the two figures spoke, "It is rare that I stumble upon such a thing."
"Is this what you were looking for?" The smaller figure softly spoke, her voice timid.
"Seems so." He paused. "I didn't expect this, however." An emerald orb on his shoulder chirped and whirred. "Yes, Emmy, your readings are correct." A smirk fell upon the face of the silver haired man. "Let the dance of creation begin."
A world between worlds. A plane hidden in the endless expanse of planes. Its proximity to everything is what gave it its name, Proxi. All walks of life have seemed to be able to take refuge in the protective plane of Proxi. The mysteries of the plane, itself, have yet to reveal themselves. As to how everything converged into what it is now, credit is given to a planeswalker and his apprentice; Vexar Marques and Rozwell.

This is an ongoing chat role play set in a multiverse type of setting. What does this mean to you? It means all role playing is done in the chat rooms created for the role play, no where else. It, also, means that all genres of role play are welcome here. There are certain things that restrict you; so it is HIGHLY recommended that you read up the information on each place before diving right into the settings themselves.
Proxi will be an ever-changing place. There will be events held, as well as over arching stories as to what is going on. It is highly recommended that you do your best to create your own story arcs as well. If yours takes off enough, then it will become part of Proxi as well. What you do in this role play can effect the plane around you as well as the players. Please remember that everyone is here to do the same thing, role play. So try to acknowledge what the others around you are doing!
Rules
The rules to role playing here in Proxi:
- Follow all site rules.
- Follow the rules of each individual place as your role play. These are referred to laws. Some will be un-breakable. While others will be handled in character.
- Do your best, and have fun! This means role play at your best skill, while having fun at the same time. Posts that are too long don't require skill, try and keep things short and sweet. This is a chat based role play after all.
- Please do NOT make posts outside of the chat. As in trying to do play by post, or trying to post anything not in the chat rooms. I will be using the posting area for announcements and the likes. (In other words, using the "Reply to this role play." function.)

Jazara saunters through the streets, lifting one hand to her forehead occasionally when she passes an overly bright light, that light, excited feeling in her chest expanding. Was it the celebration, or was it just intuition that the answers she was looking for were here? Either way, there was a definite bounce in her step and a playful, devious grin on her lips.
Still grinning like a fool, her steps slowed as she neared a group of people clearly interested in one thing. She moved closer, magenta eyes peering through the crowd. The music was almost overbearing in this area, but for now her interest kept her riveted to the spot.

Vexar Marques nodded to the new comer just before his attention was finally caught by the magic act before the crowd. The young gentleman appeared to reach into an oversized card, and pull out a small deck of cards. He continued doing tricks, a small cup at his feet showed that he was doing well today. Coins from various worlds were tossed into it and around it.

Vexar Marques smiled at Jazara. "Well, this is the 'Grand Welcoming'." His voice was light, yet powered easily over the noise of the spectators. His attention was diverted when a bug eyed figure butted in. "As I answered her, kind sir." Vexar's voice was less airy towards the man.

Alaric Klausner walks slowly through the streets, every movement appearing to be full of menace. This world wasn't what he'd been expecting. There were rivals here, after all. And law enforcement, too. But it was nothing like what he'd had to put up with back in his own plane- he could easily overcome it. He had only come down to the square to see what all the fuss was about, though now that he had arrived, he still wasn't sure.

Vexar Marques took this small moment in time to take in account all the people that had arrived. A large beam shot down far outside of the town. He grimaced "Eh, still have to get those damned things fixed." Vexar cursed the moonbeams, and their seemingly random interjections in Proxi's every day life.

Jazara “Oh, I see,” She replied with a small laugh. “Well it certainly is welcoming.” She also glanced in the direction of the approaching figure and offered as small wave, but folded her arms in puzzlement when he turned with an impressive scowl and crashed his way back the way he had come. “Or maybe that’s just me. Say, is there anywhere around here that’s… less noisy?” She abruptly questioned the man, brushing off the other being’s obvious displeasure. The music was starting to get to her.

Alaric Klausner Laughs at the words of the strangely bug-eyed man who had approached him. It couldn't hurt to converse with the man, and he might learn something. "That would depend.", he answers, his voice decidedly sinister, "On what we are celebrating?"

Vexar Marques smiled to what he thought was a priestess of some sort. "Why, today, I'm afraid we only get noise until our heads ache." Vexar turned his eyes to the sky once more as he saw the clouds billowing where the moon beam shot down. "And, these damned storms too..." His voice trailing off on the less relevant topic. "After all, what is a celebration without music and cheer?"

He wasn't much of a fan of the music playing, but he did recognise what seemed like a couple of good magicians. They could easily be turned into con-men for his operations.

So, is there a CS Sheet of some kind or do we just kind of drop in at will or what? Just curious my friend for I can come up with a dozen characters off of the top of my head that I've used before, easily adaptable in all cases. I hope this goes far and that we have a hell of a time lol. For now, peace out and I'll get back to this as soon as I may.

This role play is currently under heavy construction.
It will be an interactive chat role play. This means it will be considered an ongoing setting. There will be a few centralized over-arching stories; but the actual plot-line is to be developed by those that participate in the role play.
I only want the settings and story arcs to act as a catalyst for some of the best character development and relations that you have ever had.
Expect a LOT of flavor in terms of art/content and things to do; an example will be festivals held at only certain times of the year and the likes. In which, chat rooms will only be open for a certain amount of time for people to join in on the fun.
