Colony Aderon. System… Classified.
The dimly lit detainment rooms were freezing cold… or was that just the chills that came from the horrors of the tests… though one had to assume it was the blood curdling screams of other subjects who had been driven mad. The white suited soldiers seemed apathetic to the cries of the people they dragged down to the dark machine. One could only wish this horrid place was but a nightmare… a nightmare they may wake up from. Though in the end no amount of wishing or rambling… not even madness could save you. For the machine focused one’s natural ability to create… empowered it and attempted to materialize their deepest fears. Though more often then not it simply sent its victims into a coma filled with nightmares… that could kill… the heart giving out when the body thought itself dead. Now how ever… success is heard as the remaining prisoners hear the alarms sound… the horrid sound of metal breaking and flesh subsiding to claws. One must escape their cells and find a way out of the massive laboratory… they must survive a reality of a twisted mind… a nightmare made real… a reality devoid of reality.
At most one can remember their own name… and one must be careful in the flickering light or face eternal twilight. One best stick together… for the twisting subterranean laboratories are immense and one will become lost easily enough. Besides nightmares one must be weary of combat drones and the remaining marines attempting to leave no evidence of this crime against humanity, leave no trace by any means necessary that is their only order… their only rule. Survive as long as you can… ammo and food is scarce… take it when you can.

The Valens project, the ability to materialize one’s nightmares… turn the mind into a true weapon capable of untold power. It focuses upon a single machine once one is strapped into it their arms fully apart and their legs straight down. Here one is connected to the machine by a chip implanted at the back of the neck. The horrors it inflict are great and numerous but the rewards are planned to be magnificent… the power to conquer entire worlds with out losing a soldier… the power to destroy and control… my fellows… with this we shall once more take back our former glory… Cydren shall live… and our enemies shall die.
The Project goes smoothly… the machine seems to be working wonders… on one individual. Subject ‘Raven’ she has earned this name due to our first… success if you will… using her mind we have materialized a Raven… an actually… living, breathing raven… this spells great success…
We are currently undergoing a strange… side effect… the machine won’t respond… Raven is conscious… but emergency protocols have not terminated the program… the materialization chamber has opened… may the gods have mercy upon our souls…

Nightmares.
Abominations.
Subjects, consumed by their nightmares, their bodies are twisted… their minds capable of manipulating this world now that they are one with the machine. These creatures can summon lesser nightmares in droves.
Faceless Denial.
One can run… they can hide… but these black skinned monster spawned from denial will find them. Until they or it is dead. One will find these monsters of the most powerful of physical fiends… capable of crushing walls and rending men in twain.
Consuming Doubt
These are the spawns of doubt… one can not be sure what lays beneath their shadowed helms… and one can’t help but doubt whether they stand a chance against these creatures.
Suffocating Fear.
Monstrous skeletal creatures with four arms, they smell of rot and bring out bone chilling fear when present. While weak in physical strength they have a high levels of endurance and can not be killed unless the black orb is taken from their bodies… though be careful the longer your in their presence the harder it is to breath.//They do not have that face looking shoulder, so just ignore it.//
Impassioned Hunger
Creature spawned by thoughts of passion… a hunger for lust… or all things desirable.
Consumed
Once guards and subjects twisted into abomination by doubt… can they ever be saved… can we survive… will we join them. //created when a Consuming Doubt kills someone.
Hell Hound.
Disturbances in mental functions, these monsters were spawned, when one had a dream of being chased by attack dogs… since then the visages have been turned into these blood thirsty monsters.
Blind Rage.
Monsters of insane anger, blind but still deadly they are nothing more then fire cocooned around a body of charcoal. Powerful against close combatants. Their fire consumes wood in seconds and metal in minuets.
Corrupted Thought.
These visages are only half conceived nothing more then tattered images played on their robes… weak but capable of passing through any object besides doors, walls, ceilings, and floors. These are most numerous but also the most pathetic of nightmares… still be warned of attacking them when alone… they swarm.
Cydren Forces
Cydren Security.
Moderately trained and will armed foot soldiers, these men were numerous but are now scattered attempting to survive the monsters that have risen. Equipped with light metal plate armor and helmets equipped with gasmasks and flashlights.
Cydren C.C.T.U.
Cydren’s Counter Terrorism Unit, while this is their official title to the public eye they are in fact simply Cydren’s elite special operations unit. Armed with the most advanced armor and weapons availible.
Cydren Shock Trooper.
Elite soldiers enhanced by cybernetic implants and steroids they are incredibly powerful when properly armed and can possibly take down an entire enemy base while its on full alert. Protected by power armor and nearly invincible from the front, the only weak point being the separated plates to allow proper movement for their backs.
Hephaestus.
These specialized combat drones are designed for purging viral outbreaks. They have become mass produced after the accidents at Red and Black Projects Colonies. They are armed with Plasma based ‘flame throwers’ and once activated with purge all life forms… and anything that moves. They are armed with a friend foe chip that prevents them from targeting another Hephaestus.
Weapons.
Melee.
Scrap/Mundane. Your average objects that would be found sitting around a complex. Get creative break some pipes chairs use tape and create your own weapons to combat the dark monsters that now travel the halls.
Cydren Issued.
Cydren Stun Baton. A thin metal retractable baton when drawn electricity crackles to life around it. This is an excellent weapon against living and nightmares, unfortunately its only a foot and a half long… so you’ll have to get close and personal. Water Proof.
Cydren Riot Stick. Large poles armed with a two pronged top. Capable of creating small electrical fields momentarily excellent for stopping a rushing horde of enemies and allowing time to gain some distance. These weapon is six feet long and will short circuit if it makes contact with water.
Cydren Riot Baton. These heavy set batons release bursts of electricity when they strike something more often then not sending the target reeling back several feet. This weapon is 2 feet long and will cause backlash if the user is not wearing rubber and the area is conductive.
Ranged.
Contraband. One might be able to find the contraband lockers where all personal possession found on admittance are stored, their may be some rather powerful weapons stored away.
Cydren Issued
ECR 42. Semi-Auto Combat rifle. Using a 40 round clip and firing low caliber charged rounds. Cydren Security main weapon, agents only carry two extra clips. Excellent against unarmored units or shields.
Laser Sight, Flashlight
ECS 21. Fully Automatic Shotgun. These weapon can hold up to seven shells and mainly fires buckshot, though can use any type of shell. Cydren Security alternative main weapon agents only carry fourteen shells total. Excelling against grouped and unarmored enemies.
Smoke Grenade Launcher.
Roosevelt Elite. Semi-Auto Hand Gun. Eight bullets in each clip and firing high caliber rounds. Cydren Security Secondary weapon, agents only carry one extra clip. Excellent against single armored or individual targets.
Flashlight.
ECR 67. Fully Automatic Combat Rifle. Using a 60 round clip and firing moderate caliber charged rounds. CCTU standard main weapon agents general carry two spare clips. Excels at taking down unarmored or shielded targets, this weapon is not made for extended firing and becomes highly inaccurate the long its firing.
10x Sight, Laser sight, Hornet’s Nest Grenade launcher.
ERS 11. Riot Shotgun(Think the circular clipped shotguns.). Using a thirty round clip and firing buckshot as standard. CCTU standard alternative main weapon it is unlikely to carry more then one extra clip.
Fiber Optic Cabal(For checking beneath doors and around corners, Vitals scanner.
Raven AP Rifle. Heavy Sniper/Rifle. Single shot bolt action rifle firing powerful magnum rounds charged. Used only by veteran CCTU who carry a good twenty rounds at any time. These weapon is a anti everything, it unfortunately has a slow fire rate and tends to pierce walls and create more noise then most people want.
Psionic Shielding Unit(Prevents one’s mental waves from being detected by psions… though as there are no psions on this base… it defends against mind effecting nightmares.
CSR 100. A repeating/semi-auto revolver. Eight round chamber and firing high powered magnum rounds. CCTU standard secondary weapon agents are armed with twenty four rounds total. Excels at piercing through multiple enemies be they armored or not, weak against shielded units.
Flashlight.
Shock Cannon. Shock Cannon. Repeating Energy Cannon. Massive heavy weapons that can lay down suppressive fire that will cut through armor like it was nothing and leave unarmored targets flayed to the bone, does not affect shields. Standard weapon of Cydren Shock Troopers.
Blitz Missile Launcher. Hellfire Missile Launcher. Firing a burst of small but highly explosive missiles this weapon is more anti-infantry then anti-armor. Special weapon for Cydren Shock Troopers, agents only carry three Hellfire Missiles each of which break into sixteen when fired. Alternative munitions include napalm and shrapnel rounds.

The lights flickered everything going black before the dim light went back on… she sighed wishing the wiring would be redone. It was hard enough to get around this place with out everything going dark with out any warning. She felt a cold shiver run down her back as a scream echoed down the halls so loud that it pierced the walls. She hurried into the medical offices sitting down and awaiting her turn. She really needed those pills now… anxiety was building up now that she had missed her morning dose as had most of the security force… due to some issues in the medical offices that left many of their stock mislabeled. She was awaiting her turn when everything went red… and she simply couldn’t hear anything over the shock trauma the ear piercing siren’s unleashed… Gunfire sounded from deep within the facility… something was happening… and it didn’t sound good…
She moved out of the door accompanied by most of the other security forces that were in the waiting room. They moved through the facility she ordering men to take defensive positions here and there… she moved to the door to where the Machine was held… a deathly silence was heard from beyond it the siren had stopped… even though the one’s up here still screamed deafening screeches into her ears. “Shit… defensive positions here… I want the upper floors secured first… the Hephaestus are probably armed down there… so we’ll wait up here… if that door opens fire… we don’t know if it’s a viral outbreak or not… so we have to ensure that door stays closed or we’ll risk infecting the entire facility… I’ll be ensuring that the prisoners are all accounted for.”
She moved away from the group returning to the outside of Cell Block A opening the secure access door she looked over the cells making sure everyone was accounted for. “Everyone remain calm… we have the situation under control…”

He finnaly got to the end of the hallway and there stood a door. He swiped his card and the door slid open. A sign hanging above the entrance read .:Medical Bay:., as he entered he saw familiar faces, his friends including fellow Cydren soldiers and Doctors, and his captain, Jamie Matris. She seemed in a unpleasent mood so he didn't disturb her. As he headed for a seat, The facillities alarms went off. Dax Followed orders given by the Captain. He pulled his CSR 100. revolver from his pocket, ready for instructions. Dax didnt expect much, the building was secured with top men, and also because pass cards were needed to get through doors to escape or attack. " It could only be one subject who escaped?" He thought, but stayed armed anyway. He became calm when the captain said everything was under control. Unfortunatly they still had to be at the ready with weapons out.

The dream involved his love back home, Mya. It was a memory of just before he was taken to Cydren.
They were having a picnic at a place called Blackrose Hill. The place's name made sense, as there were black roses everywhere. The roses were a product of a genetic experiment by Cydren. Isaac liked the roses for their gothic style.
"So... Mya... How's your day been?" He asked her.
"It's been great, but how has yours been?" She questioned in a courteous reply.
"Mine's been fine too, but I have something to ask you... "Isaac got up, "Follow me." He beckoned her to follow.
He led them to their favorite place, a little cave-like formation formed at the base of the hill by a cluster of the numerous roses.
"So... What did you want to ask me?" Mya asked with genuine curiosity.
"Mya...I wanted to ask you... For your hand in marriage." Isaac proclaimed, after kneeling on one knee.
Just then, Isaac's dream was shattered by the sound of a rather loud alarm.
"Godammit!" Isaac yelled "... What is it now?!"
Isaac pulled himself upright in his bed. He readjusted himself to being in his cell.
I wonder... If she would have said 'yes'... Would I even be here right now? He thought to himself.
It's been a year... A fucking year... I can't stand it anymore!
He got up off of his bed and walked, half asleep, to his cell door...
He asked a nearby Cydren Security Guard "Hey, can you tell me what's going on?"

The Sergeant approached the pile of sand and began kicking it to dig. He uncovered a worm like creature with teeth that spiraled in the mouth like out of a cheap sci-fi movie. "Nice shootin' Private. Boys, this just went from a scouting mission to a search and destroy. Ready your guns."
And destroy they had. Kevin thought back to that planet and grinned. Oh boy had that been fun, this posting just completely sucked. He felt his fist connect with something and snapped back to reality, suddenly remembering he was in middle of a sparing match. War flashbacks were common for Kevin in middle of sparring. This just wasn't enough for him. He needed to kill something, he needed something to try and kill him. The alarm suddenly sounded and all the soldiers rushed to get their weapons. The grin returned to Kevin's face Finally, something interesting! Maybe he was just getting his hopes up but he slipped into the armory and grabbed his equipment.
He was quickly given a position and aimed his cannon at the door, prepared to fire, no, eager to fire. If that door opened Kevin's gun was definitely gonna release the first bullet.

Alex awoke from the dream in a cold sweat, the sheets beneath him wet from his sweat. He wiped his forehead and sighed gently as he looked around. He didn't get why these people wanted that monster from his dreams. They hadn't gotten it yet, but their attempts to steal it from his mind had driven him to the point where he could fain sanity, but yet he was no were near sane. Alex might not ever be the same again becuase of the nightmare he has during the day, and then the one of the monster at night. Being locked up in here was his real nightmare, becuase he knew that one day they would steal the monster from him and then what would happen to him? They wouldn't need him and he could possibly be killed, kept here for the hell of it or sent to a mental ward to live out the rest of his days. At least mental wards might have hot nurses, but people were something he might not ever really like ever again, it was people who did this to him after all.
Once he had recovered from his maddening dream and awakening, he realized something was going on. He heard voices, and it wasn't the ones of the men and woman he wanted to strangle every time they came into his room and decided it was time to pay a visit to the machine to try and steal his monster.
He went over to the door and he could see out the little window they had in it. There were men and woman with guns, they were obviously trying to protect them selves from something, but what? He watched them and wondered if they would be let out of their cells, maybe it was safer to stay in them? Alex didn't think so, he wanted out of his cage, he was not an animal to be kept inside of a cage, but that is what it felt like.

A yell ripped from Ryan's mouth as he flung his body from his prone position. Beneath him was not cold concrete but vile dirtied cloth. Sheets upon a cot. His body trembled uncontrollable from the memory of his nightmare. He could feel his sanity hanging by a thread, his nightmares plagued with chaotic thoughts of loosing control of his own soul. Having his mind ripped from his grasp was his greatest fear. Every moment he closed his eyes he could see the horror of madness waiting. Yet the sight of his familiar cell offered him no release. No comfort for he knew that this reality was a torment mirroring that of his own creation. Eventually they would return and take him, force him to embrace the darkest corners of his mind and indulge in his nightmare. How he lasted to this moment was a epic myth beyond comprehension. He stilled his shaking muscles, his shoulders stooped and head slummed, exhausted. The sound of grating metal suddenly echoed around the claustrophobic box. The ex-soldier recognised it as the common sound of the shifting heavy machinery unlocking his door. They had come to present to him his darkest thoughts, as they had so many times before and will continue to do until he finally snaps.
He looked up to see the white figure approach to drag to his inevitable doom. Yet there was nothing in the open doorway, Blackness conquered beyond the frame. From the blackness a figure emerged, yet it was not a figure. Billowing clouds of Darkness sweep into the room, roiling across the far wall. Ryan could feel it touching his mind, his eyes widened in fear. Scrambling, the ragged man thrust himself back, against a wall. Trying to escape the terrible presence. He couldn't, the room seemed to shrink, the more he pushed back the more he was propelled towards the essence. It billowed forwards, filling the corners of the room. Finger-like tendrils flowed out of the mass, probing towards him as his space became smaller. His heart pounded to escape his chest and the form. The first of the dark tentacles touched him. He could not feel it but inside his mind he could sense it. It began to fill him, he frantically tried to thrash it away but it encroached unperturbed. Slowly he could feel the tangible emotion enfold him, the Madness flooded his every being, conquering his being. The Darkness enveloped him, only his mind and soul fought out against it. His brain patterns betraying his flesh, willing his unyielding heart to falter and cease. He wanted to die. He needed to die before he lost himself to the Insanity.
Ryan Crawler did not die. He awoke, feeling the stale air from the scrubbers brush his skin and fill his nostrils. He lay on his cot once again. The room empty once again. The horror waiting to begin once again. Fear silenced his nervous system. He was paralyzed.
Unable to move, only to live. He did not want to move, to do so would summon the demons of his thoughts. He wanted it all to end, to have his heart give out then and there. Yet he knew it would not, somewhere there was a part of him that held on. He feared it, he could not understand why he would want to. Did that part of him desire the impeding breaking, was it already lost to sane thought. He was terrified of his own mind, not surrendering to the hope it may be holding him on to the end, the release where he can return to life instead of the simulated death he was living. After what felt like an age the man hauled his starved body from the sheets of his bed. His body had no tension yet his mind was on the edge. Nothing was real to him anymore, he awoke from nightmare to nightmare, only to discover it was another nightmare within another. Reality seemed as far from his as the sunlight was to his forsaken realm. The sudden chaos that began, the blaring of alarms and shouting caused him momentary curiosity but held no sway within him. No voices emerged from the mist for him to grasp onto, to cling to.

They were insects. Hundreds of nightmarish insects summoned from beneath her skin, crawling throughout her body. They had to surgically remove much of the bugs, leaving scars dotted around her skin and a paranoia that it could happen again. That was the other reason why she didn't sleep; The paranoid thoughts that plagued her brain. Of course in this place it seemed her fears became more rational by the minute. There is one thing you should never do to a person with paranoid schizophrenia, or very close to it, and that is give evidence to support their fears and suspicions. Obviously this was not the best place for Claudia to be staying but it was also clear that nobody cared. To add to the normal stress of the screaming and imprisonment the lights began to flash red and sirens began to wail. Shivers rushed to the cell door, banging on it with her fist, heart beating erratically and breathing fast. "Let me out! I don't want to die here!" She screamed, not the most uncommon string of phrases heard in this place. A female scientist entered, “Everyone remain calm… we have the situation under control…” She tried to reassure them, Dr. Brayne less than calmed, "Bollocks you've got it under control!" She blurted out, manic, "I can hear things through those walls... They're coming to get us, aren't they? Aren't they!?" The woman retracted from the door, grabbing the sides of her head as if that would hold her mind together, "Maybe they have got things 'under control'... Maybe those sirens aren't an alert, they're an order. An order to clean up their mess; To kill us all!" She muttered, mostly to herself and then flung herself at the door again, terrified, "They're coming for us! They're going to murder us all!"
((So much for remaining calm...))

The door to the lower levels shook… it screeched the sound of thundering metal cracking beneath a unstoppable force sounded as the door went flying forward. What looked like a human with pitch black skin… and a face hidden by black shadows stepped forward everyone paused merely unsure what to do… or mayhap caught in the true horror of the situation… for light shone upon it… and it bore no face… the creature stepped in front of a shock trooper. “Eric Valdin…” He spoke in a enthrall voice. “You have denied your true intentions… you have raped and murdered… brutalized innocence… and tormented your kindred…” It moved forward faster then a human could see its hand piercing through the power armor’s frontal plates and lifting the hulking man into the air. “Your death is certain… your death is now…” Turning his hand over he smashed the man head first into the ground spraying the crowd with grey matter that seeped into their breath filters. Bullets had been flying… though it showed little effect even the Shock Cannons seemed little more then irritations to this monster. In the wake of his show of strength a horde of strange black robed creatures swarmed from the door while they were gun downed easy enough their sheer numbers began to land them kills… rending mortals to bare bone and showing everything in their gore. Next were burned black hounds… fire burning from their tails and magma dripping from their maws. They moved quickly leaping upon those lingered still, tearing out their throats before continuing on. The line of soldiers were quickly eroding as more horrors moved in… chaos was all that was left in the hall… scrambling security forces, charging horrors, and undefined thrashing piles of arms and legs. Once this happened the alarms would turn a solid red.
Jamie bit her lip as she heard the fighting down the hall. “Oh crap…” she placed her hands over her ears when Claudia started rambling she had no time for this… the purge order had been given… the soldiers in the room took position outside each cell taking aim. “Actually that would be that alarm… men stand down… and open their cells… I want all cell blocks evacuated there is no reason to kill the subjects… after all they’ve been through more then enough… “ The men reluctantly lowered their weapons mumbling to one another as Jamie moved over to the command consol and input her security card hitting several buttons all the cells opened. “Alright everyone… we can’t give you guns… so we will be giving you stun batons… that’s all we have access to in here…take one if you know how to fight… we will be moving out very soon.” She knew what she was waiting for… she wouldn’t abandon her partner… and at the very least the prisioners would make a good distraction so her friends and coworkers might survive… she knew such a though was horrible… and she felt sick just thinking about it.

"Don't feel like you do. You have to protect your men, not us." Alex said as he looked at her. "Its not hard to see what your debating in that mind of yours, eyes are the gateway to what a person is thinking." He added. He knew that she was thinking about using them, and why shouldn't she? Everyone else had. Everyone else here had just used them for their advantage. Not only that, but the patients were people they didn't know, so why save them if they could just use them as a distraction? Alex had taken the stun baton to protect himself, but really did he want to? If he died the nightmare would be over, he would be free from this place, from all places, and from that damn monster that haunted him at night and chilled the very marrow of his bones when he saw it at night. He would make the decision when it came to life or death when faced with their enemy he knew nothing about.
He gave her a light smile as if to tell her it was okay to use them, why not? She could do what ever she wanted with them, she hadn't had to let them out of the cells after all. He wasn't sure if he was better off in there or out there, but only time would tell for now. For now he was keeping his urge under control. The urge to use the baton on himself to calm himself. The pain seemed to keep his anxiety down, kept him calmer and seemed to quell his fits of rage and fear that seemed to occur from time to time.

A being emerged from the C sector, into the Medical Bay. It appeared to be human, untill you reached the upper part of its body. The head of the creature was completely missing, it was replaced by a shadow like smoke. Even thought bullets shot in its direction, it seemed untouched. Even more ackward then that, It knew one of his fellow soldiers name and his "activities". The creature moved rapidly towards the soildier and lifted him off the ground despite the fact the man was twice the beings size, and had full armor on. Dax shot atleast three rounds at the creature, But the creature was unaffected. What followed the creature was even more disturbing, Countless flying shadows began to feel the room, followed by mutts with flaming tails and magma filled mouths. These monsters attack the fleet of soildiers. Dax dived behind a desk that was in the pharmacys waiting room. Before he could take in the Overwhelming events that were taking place, one of the mutts appeared beside him. Without hesitation he jumped up, but was soon tackled to the ground by the beast. The Dogs Magma saliva, dripped next to his face, landing on the floor that was next to him. He could here the sizziling from the magma burning through the floor. A Split second passed and Daxs gun went off, sending a bullet through its chest. He quickly tossed the monsters corpse fearing that he might get seriously burned.
He lifted his body from the ground as quickly as possible. His eyes were blured, when they cleared he came to see more of the monsters seeping into the room. In the other direction were prisoners being released from there cells some running down the hall way that led to Sector D. Which was the opposite way from the exit of this Giant lab. He wondered if they were running for freedom or away from the mostrositys. Others were handed stun batons. Dax knew the Subjects wouldnt have a fighting chance against these things. His train of thought was interrupted when his ears began to hear the screaming of his comrades. He dare not look the direction from which they were coming from. Dax noticed that his partner was down one of the hallways were the prisoners were being released handing out the insufficient stun batons. He quickly made his way to her, weapon at the ready. When he reached her he put his hand on her shoulder trying not to frighten her, but to still get her attention. " We have to get out Jamie." He said in a calm, but shrill voice. Even though his voice was calm he was far from that state of mind. He overcame his scared senseless state, for a mere moment so he may speak calmly to her. He did this because he did not want to add more stress and fear to what she already was feeling.

“So you're going to kill me now?" Isaac began to ask, but an official looking woman with messy black colored hair cut him off. Stating; “Actually that would be that alarm… men stand down… and open their cells… I want all cell blocks evacuated there is no reason to kill the subjects… after all they’ve been through more then enough…” The automatic cell doors opened a bit slower then usual.
The guard looked at me, and then cautiously lowered his rifle. The black haired woman proclaimed “Alright everyone… We can’t give you guns… So we will be giving you stun batons… That’s all we have access to in here…Take one if you know how to fight… We will be moving out very soon.” She seemed like she was waiting for something… Not like an order… But something else… Isaac couldn’t figure it out, because for a split second… There was something else in her eyes… Something dark, like the ambiance of the facility…
Isaac took a stun baton from the moderately sized steel cabinet containing them…
He decided to keep an eye on the woman, She might be up to something… Isaac thought. But what will these damned batons do against a gun… or better yet, whatever those creatures were… In all of the confusion, Isaac decided it would be the safest in the middle of the crowd. Isaac made his way to the middle… Yeah… Safe…

She stopped before them were two ways one was pitch black…the other well lit… except it had a dark skinned creature kneeling on the floor. Its head seemed like smoke… a pitch black rising from its neck in the form of a head and hair. Its’ face stared forward towards them though it seemed unconscious… unresponsive even though a under armed group of individuals stood before it… those who had seen it tear through the most well trained and heaviest armed and armored men Cydren had cringed starting to back away before out right running towards where they had come from. “Crap… what are we suppose to do… This isn’t just my life… suggestions?” She said in a hushed voice to the others. “We… could try to kill it save a lot of lives… as it seems unable to defend itself… but… it could be a trap… or… its waiting for us to enter the darkness…”

Considerably less fearful for her life now that a loaded gun had been removed from her face but all the more tense at the prospect of this unexpected freedom Claudia found herself stuck between impulses. One urging her to bolt out the door and run away from all of the potential danger that these people presented and the other to not trust this woman, to keep in a place she knew. Being somewhat of an emancipist, paranoid and frankly bored of looking at the same four walls for days on end it didn't take her long to decide, practically running out of the cell after a moment’s hesitation. Shivers’ eyes darted about the now crowded room; trying to calm herself at yet another strange option they had been given. She had no trust for Jamie or the guard now reluctantly handing over his stun baton to a somewhat deranged former prisoner of his leaders. This was perhaps understandable for her and so were the misgivings the staff and guards no doubt had on this.
The former physician eyed the baton suspiciously; as if it might spontaneously burst into flame should she move to touch it. Shivers slowly reached for it, hand shaking from fear but hesitated to take it with the paranoia gnawing at her. The creaking of the vents, however, spurred her into action and snatched the weapon with her scared green eyes fixed on the ceiling. With all the terrifying, violent sounds bursting through the walls it was somewhat funny (Or would be in hindsight should she survive long enough) that it would be such a slight sound to trigger a reaction. Forcing herself to be an approximation of calm Claudia listened to Jamie, telling them that certain death probably lay at the top of the stairs and that a less certain one may be found on a lower path. She can’t be trusted, screamed the paranoia to her shock synapses, None of them can… It’s a trap to lead you down to a better way of killing you and everyone else, It persisted. But there was that niggling doubt, her remaining logic that knew the operative was probably right.
It the end, reason won, shifting her trembling feet to follow the group heading to the maintenance tunnels. Her fear of her captors was more than that of the monsters for the moment, she staying in the middle of the group with her senses heightened by terror. Another dilemma presented itself in the form of a crossroads, one dark and unknowably dangerous and the other illuminated but with a known peril. The creature was bizarre and fascinating, had she been in a better mindset and the situation not so dire Dr. Brayne would have liked to study this… this - thing - whatever it was. Sadly she had neither time nor logic to spare on it, simply taking into account the information that could be useful for the many, many potential problems that could arise like how many ways it could kill her. She bit her nails, twitching a little as she looked for the safest path with thoughts of death and pain running rampant in her mind. Backwards, should she still choose to believe Jamie, was not an option especially with more creatures likely to be there now. They could try to kill the monster but, as scared as she was her Hippocratic oath, distant though it was here, would not allow her and she had enough wits to remember it. Travelling through the darkness, well, you don’t want to know er horrible thoughts on that scenario.
Shivers opted for an almost brave path, shockingly enough, and approached the well lit path. It was her intention to slip past the monster by, basically, running very, very fast. Taking a depth breath she bolted, keeping to the sides as much as possible and running past the faceless thing.

As Claudia ran forward her body passing through the threshold of the door. Pain of overwhelming strength hit her down… it quickly vanished as her nerves were simply numbed by the utter agony it inflicted. Blood began to run down in a grid. One must wander what goes through the mind as they watch their hands fall into countless thousand little fleshy cubes. Would does one think when they know they’re already dead. As her hands had lead her body followed reduced to no more then a pile of rectangular flesh and bone.
For some reason she was still there… even though her body was no more then a pile… bugs… they were everywhere. They came in droves and swarms devouring the remains until nothing remained but scraps of charred clothing. The swarm then turned its sights upon her conscious… the swarm came and only darkness remained… the feeling of something crawling in her skin came… it wouldn’t leave… the bugs… they were back… and no surgeons were around to remove them.
Light flooded back into her eyes as she returned to reality… the crawling feeling beneath her skin remained however… her mental state deteriorating. Deja vu would set in as she hears Jamie finish her question. “But… it could be a trap… or… its waiting for us to enter the darkness.” If she happened to take a look towards the fell creature trapped by lasers she might notice its sadistic appearance… its eyeless face staring like it knew… it made a slight motion with its head to a pile that lay before him. Bugs crawling around atop it… though one couldn’t make out what it was with out stepping through the deadly energy field. Though as no one else seemed to notice… no one else seemed to have seen it… or there had been nothing to see… except maybe one’s tumble deeper and deeper into insanity.

Genevieve was rocking herself back in forth. Dark shadows were surrounding her, and she didn't know how to make them go away, how to make them leave her alone as she suffered her imprisonment. A voice in her head whispered, You never amounted to anything. So now, you're stuck with me. She furiously shook her head, that voice was always denouncing her. Bringing up all of the goals not reached, the dreams that hadn't come true, the love she had lost.
That boy, that one boy that she could never keep her eyes off of, he came and tanuted her every night. He was the figure lurking in the dark shadows surrounding her. She could see him laughing at her, his eyes showed a heart that would never condone.
The shadows were swept away by the sound of an alarm sounding. She quickly stood up and looked out the bars on her cell door. She heard a voice from one of the cells to her left, "Hey, can you tell me what's going on?"
Genevieve peered to see the gaurd, his response was, “Step back… everything is under control..." She tried to not let her fast paced mind analyze his tone, she didn't need more worry and shadows crowding around her. She was brought back to the action in front of her cell by the sound of a gun cocking. She turned her head, eyes wide... afraid.
She saw a women with messy black hair walk by, looking at the gaurds, “Actually that would be that alarm… men stand down… and open their cells… I want all cell blocks evacuated there is no reason to kill the subjects… after all they’ve been through more then enough…” Gwen watched as the door opened, and she cautiously stepped out. The woman with the black hair spoke again, “Alright everyone… we can’t give you guns… so we will be giving you stun batons… that’s all we have access to in here…take one if you know how to fight… we will be moving out very soon.”
Genevieve looked at the batons, scared of them. Afraid she would hurt herself with it. But the little sanity she had left told her to take one just in case. She walked to where they were and gently grabbed one, keeping herself as calm as she could, shadows were trying to crowd around her again, and she could hear the boys laughter ringing through her head.
She shook the noise from her head and gravitated towards the crowd. The women spoke again, “Everyone… out… -now-” Genevieve followed the group, and when they stopped, she was startled. The creature on the well lit path reminded her of the shadows that crowded around her. She didn't want to go near that thing. She quickly pushed herself through the crowd, recklessly going to the pitch black path. As she embraced that darkness like a friend, she could see her gathering shadows blend in with the darkness, leaving her in a pitch black peace, for even just a second.

Also Badger if you didn't pick it up in my post your Psychological negative from dying his your occasionally feel as if something's crawling under your skin. Please incorporate it in every post if able.
Re: [OOC] Psychosis
Don't worry, Xig, I have an idea: Claudia is probably going to start screaming about what she 'experienced' in my next post (which should be tonight) so he could use that as inspiration to choose the dark path. That or you could just do what you were originally planning to do. Meh...

Interesting choices you've given us by the way, Raven. Let's see if Claudia really will die in it!

That's what I think too but I can't bet on it, sadly. Raven probably shouldn't be allowed to bet given that he could very well make his bet win. :P
Ryan is probably more likely to kill other people seeing as he takes any orders given to him but who knows..
