Introduction

In a regular world, there are regular people. However, on Earth....there is no such thing as "regular". There are people like me who are super humans. We have this thing called Z36 in our blood. It gives us amazing abilities, but at a price. For example, I'm a Reader. That means if I touch an object, I can see it's whole past. However, I'm blind. Ironic? My brother is a Mover, but his nerves are damaged so he doesn't feel pain (which is very bad).

There's these people from this place we call The Organization. They hunt people like me down so that they can use us as personal lab rats. My brother and I are constantly on the run, and you should be, too. Can you escape them? Will we meet?

Super Human Powers:

Watchers
Watchers have the ability to foresee the future to varying degrees. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, Watchers' visions of the future in their direct sphere of influence are subject to frequent shifting.

Movers
Movers are powerful telekinetics who are trained to identify the specific atomic frequency of a given material and alter the gravitational field around it, usually causing the nearby air to appear warped. This allows them to move both animate and inanimate objects. Advanced Movers can work at the molecular level, creating protective force fields in the air around them or to reinforce punches and other strikes to make them stronger.

Pushers
Pushers have the ability to implant memories, thoughts and emotions into the minds of other people in order to manipulate them. The skill level of the Pusher determines how many people the Pusher is able to control at one time, and how vivid the implanted memories are. A powerful Pusher can push a large group of people at the same time, basically creating a personal army. A Pusher is able to make a person do anything the Pusher desires, even commit suicide. A Pusher's eyes indicate how powerful they are: their pupils will dilate to certain degrees depending on how powerful the push is.

Bleeders
Bleeders have the ability to emit high-pitched sonic vibrations that cause ruptures in a target's blood vessels. While using this ability, their eyes turn into slits because of synthetic materials implanted in them to protect the blood vessels from the effects of their own ability. They are also sometimes known as Screechers or Screamers.

Readers
Readers have the psychometric ability to see the past of anything by touching the object of which is desired. This ability turns the person's eyes completely white, when in use the person is filled with information about the object in which they touched like who and what has touched it.

Sniffs
Sniffs are highly developed psychometrics who can track the location of people or objects over varying distances. Like bloodhounds, their ability is increased if they have tactile access to an object that has been in direct contact with the subject. Sniffs receive information in the form of images, which is why identifiable landmarks help increase their effectiveness.

Shifters
Shifters can temporarily alter the appearance of an object by manipulating the patterns of light interacting with it. Once the illusion is established, it remains with the object for a short period of time. For example, a Shifter could touch a one dollar bill and alter it to appear as a one hundred dollar bill until the effect expires. The object shifted must have roughly the same dimensions as the object it is shifted into. The length of time that the effect will last is based on the Shifter's experience and ability.

Wipers
Wipers are skilled at either temporarily or permanently erasing memory, an invaluable asset in espionage. Experience will dictate the accuracy of their wipes, though there is always the danger that they will eliminate a desired memory.

Shadows
Shadows are trained to block the vision of other clairvoyants such as Sniffs, making any subject within their target radius appear "dark". Experience will enhance the size of the area they can shadow and the intensity of their shielding effect. Shadows need to be awake to manifest their ability, so it is common for a detail of two Shadows to operate in shifts while protecting a person or object for extended periods. Most Shadows are effective only against Sniffs, but some extremely powerful Shadows are able to block even Watchers.

Stitches
Stitches are psychic surgeons trained to quickly reconstruct cells to their previous or healthy state. Using only their hands, they can heal and even "unheal" whatever they have done. For more detailed work, Stitches use a silver based cream on their hands which acts as a conductor for their ability.

The Organization was out as usual today. Except, there were more agents out than usual. They were getting desperate, no doubt. Restless, too. Oh, restless was definitely an understatement. What more could I say? If you're one of them, us with Z36 are going to hide.

That's just what Matt and Liel did.

Liel came out, it was around mid-afternoon now. Her long hair was wildly tangled and fell around her sleepy blue eyes. "Matt?" she called as she sauntered out of the bedroom. The apartment had one bedroom, so Matt slept on the couch.

Matt instantly jumped up from the couch where he had been deep in thought and ran to her side. He tapped her hand and she raised it instinctively. "Goodmorning, Liel. Did you sleep okay?"

"I don't sleep much anymore. Not after..."

"It's okay. I know. Don't worry." Matt took her hand and guided her to the couch. She touched it gently, her fingers deftly touching to the worn fabric and moving around the apartment to the kitchen.

"What are the others doing?" she asked. Matt sometimes was able to find others and keep up with them via email or something using their stolen government laptop. Untraceable much?

"I wouldn't know. I'm worried. People aren't answering me."

There was silence. Liel was scared now, shocked, and she wanted to do something.

Alora sat calmly atop a hill overlooking the city. The morning mist made the ground wet to the touch, and made each blade of grass sparkle with beauty and wonder. Best of all, it hid her. It floated lazily across the ground, allowing her to see out, but others couldn't see in. She was safe, for now at least; that's why she goes out early mornings and late nights. Other then that, she stays inside. Even though she thinks it's dreadful, she knows it must be done.

Rose wakled the lonely streets of the city. Her black and white messenger bag bumped against her hip as she tripped a few times. Great she thought to herself. I can protect myself from The Organization but not from my own two feet. Her purple converse stuttered over a crack in the sidwalk. The paper in her hand was crumpled up, but she wouldn't drop it. She had gotten an email from Matt and knew to delete it immediately and keep the paper 'invisible'. She focused her power on shadowing the small paper in her hand and on herself. When the numbers on the paper matched the digits on a sign, Rose entered an apartment building. She quickly flew up the flights of steps, too scared to take the elevator and was at what she hoped was Matt and Liel's apartment. She had met them once when she was on the streets and Liel wasn't able to read her iPod or notebook because Rose had been so protective over them. She knocked on the door and prayed that it was one of the twins behind the door. She reenforced her shadow so she could make a quick getaway if needed.

Zachery skipped down the street, humming a tune he had memorized from a radio playing a few days ago and ignoring the stares of the people around him. It put him in a very happy happy mood to hum or sing. Like those scary things! he thought to himself as he turned a corner, heading to one of his favorite places to "shop", as he heard people say every time they entered or exited a store. Zachery loved to sing everything he heard, and the songs were always easy for him to remember if he tried hard enough. But there was one note he never sang unless necessary. Though, it wasn't something he sang, per se; it was more of a scream, really, but not quite.

Grinding to a halt in front of a clothing store, Zachery faced the front awning and grinned at the familiar shapes and patterns on it. I hope they still have the red shirt with the black scary thing on it! he thought, his love for dragons starting to envelope him. He reached out a hand and grabbed the handle, pulling the door wide open. Checking to make sure the mean people weren't following him, he slowly went inside. The "mean people" almost caught him a few days ago, but he ran very very fast so they couldn't keep up.

"Well then, I guess that patches you up. Until you decide to get yourself into trouble again."
Lena wiped off her hands on a clean, white towel and looked back to her client. He was a sniffer who got himself into some sticky situations trying to track down those from the Organization. This time, he followed a group, tracking them down to an office. When he got there, they apparently knew he had followed him and attacked him viciously; missing fingers, lacerations covering his body....Lena had dealt with worse, but he was a 'regular', and it made her think about just how bad it was out there that this "Organization" would hunt down people who were different from the norm.
"So do you have what I need?" She asked, opening up her briefcase and putting back her cream.
"I, uh...I..." He stood up, switching his weight back and forth from foot to foot, looking down at the ground. "Do you really need it...I mean you're the only stitcher i come to. And I come to you quite often." He looked up her, looking for some kind of mercy.
She looked into his eyes with curiosity. "You really think I care, huh?" She chuckled, shaking her head. In the next second, her client was up in the corner of the wall and ceiling, pulling at his throat.
"I-I can-I can't...bre-breathe!"
Her eyes became like snakes, strangling the life out of him slowly. "Give me what I ask for and we won't have a problem."

Leaving the warehouse, Lena grinned, walking away with a heavier briefcase than she had come with....and a vial of her client's blood.

Alora, seeing the mist start to raise like it normally did, realized she was procrastinating. She quickly stood and began to run down the hill, aiming for a small, vacant house on the edge of the town, a forest completely surrounding the one-story home. She had found this house while on the run, and had hid inside. Whoever or whatever had lived here was definitely gone now, so she had decided to make herself at home.

She looked around at what was in the living room, the first room you enter when you go through the door. She saw antiques and old cushioned chairs, small, fancy side tables and even a bookshelf with 3-inch-thick books, each and every one smeared with dust. She aimed her eyes at a door to her right, then a door to her left, and then another in front. She could see clearly through each doorway, noticing the one to her right was a kitchen, the one in front a dining room with a library twist, and the one to her left a very large bedroom, with a connected bathroom straight across from the doorway.

Alora entered the kitchen, and only took a moment to look around. There was the usual: a sink, an oven, an old-looking dishwasher. The walls were lined with shiny wooden cabinets, slightly yellowed due to nicotine. A smoker must have lived here.

After she left the kitchen, she went straight across to the bedroom. She immediately looked over to the single-person bed, which was covered with a beautiful red-violet satin. Alora gently moved a hand over the surface, admiring the soft, smooth feeling. There was a polished nightstand on either side of the bed, a lamp on each one. There was a small desk with lots of papers on it, a lamp on the corner of that, also. She thought how the person who had lived her must have lived alone; no husband or wife, and no children. She moved on to the dining room next.

Alora instantly noticed huge bookshelf lining the wall to her right. It had to be at least 20 feet wide, and it went from floor to ceiling. There was a small 2-person table with only one chair up against the left wall. Between the table and the bookshelf, a coffee table with a large, dark blue cushioned chair sat. A few books on all different life topics were laid out, dust-covered on the table, fingerprints buried under the layers. There were also a pair of coke-bottle glasses to top off the antique themed-home. Alora looked around as she did with all the other rooms, looking up last to see the brilliantly glittering chandelier hung from the ceiling. She was sure it was made of strictly gold and diamond.

Alora turned to walk out, but turned back as her eyes caught a flash of light. She smiled as she walked towards a door hidden off in the back left corner, the door being made mostly of stained glass. As curiosity came into play, she began to wrestle the door open. As it swung open towards the outside, Alora flew with it. She felt a sudden squish beneath her feet, and then heard a loud animal-like scream. Alora jumped, looking up to a see group of chickens running into an open coop, chicks following in turn. She had become calm when she saw the scream had come from chickens, but became tense when she remembered the squishy feeling. She lifted her sneaker while she looked down, a bit of shock on her face. She bent down to get a closer look at what the soft object was; squash. She reached over to one she hadn't stepped on, and admired it's natural shininess and smooth surface. She looked around to see a large garden to her left, crops all along the side of the house. The squash had grown through the chicken wire laid out around it and continue to grow after that. As she closed the door behind her the full thing came into view. She saw pumpkins, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, and even avocados. She also spotted some fruit: grapes, apples, oranges, and pears. She wanted to see more, so she followed the crop growth around the edge of the house. She jumped when she saw huge black and white animals. Cows! She thought, spotting the gate between them and her. A small female (she assumed) walked up to her, it's nose out with curiousity. She reached out a hand and began to pet it. As she did, she looked her eyes at small barn, stocked with hay, chicken feed, buckets, shovels, rakes, and more. Alora was struck with even more curiousity as she saw another two areas closed off, connected to the cow area. She smiled wide as she saw foals running with the mothers and being chased by their fathers in one, and mother pigs nursing their babies in another. I'm moving in. She thought with a ferocity. These animals need care, and with all the food I could survive forever. The Organization would also have a hard time finding me here..

Alora suddenly snapped back to the now after remembering her first experience in the house. It felt so cozy and warm inside the little building; she loved it there. Though, she didn't have the heart yet to call it her own...

OOC: Long, I know. XD

As she left the warehouse, Lena looked down at her clothing and realized they were rather "dirtied' by her client's blood.
Looking about, she made note of which alleyway she was in and realized that the market shops weren't far off.
I'll just find a cheap clothing store, change out of this, find a good cleaners near by and head on home. she thought to herself as she made her way through the winding and maze-like alleys.

Soon enough she made it to mainstreet's side street; Florence Ave. Turning left, she walked confidently, but hurriedly towards the nearest clothing shop. Here. She opened the door quickly and headed towards the back of the store without even a single look towards the clerk. Making her way back, she found a decent plain white shirt and a pair of tight guy pants.
Just cut these into shorts and I'm as good as gold. She thought to herself with a smirk on her face.

Entering the changing room, she stripped herself of her business suit quickly, shoved it into her briefcase, and put on the pants and tee. Looking at herself in the mirror, she shook her head, opened her briefcase and pulled out a switchblade. With ease and precision, she sliced through the denim and made her new pants into a pair of tight fitting shorts.
"Perfect."

She headed back towards the front of the store, finding a backpack along the way, and approached the clerk.
"Here are the tags for the shirt and shor-Pants. And I'd like this backpack as well." She said impatiently. The clerk gave her a questioning look, but scanned up her stuff, told her the price, and let her pay him off. She smiled a sweet, venom laced smile, and said thank you as she made her way out. Looking back quickly, she noticed a rather spacey boy humming to himself. Shaking her head, she walked out the door, putting her briefcase in her backpack. As she headed for the dry cleaners, she thought to herself.
That was a bleeder....humph.

I need to run! Fast! Zachery shouted to himself as he flew out the door of the shop, the red shirt he wanted crumbled into a ball in his right hand.

"Stop! Get back here!" the cashier yelled from the threshold. "Someone stop that kid!"

It was the motivation Zachery needed to run even faster. He delved into a crowd of people and began to push himself through, yelling an apology every time someone shouted in protest. At least no one was trying to drag him back to the shop. He finally got threw the crowd, but didn't slow down at all.

Turning down an alley next to an apartment building, Zachery slid behind a dumpster to hide. He sat up, trying to catch his wheezing breath. But that didn't matter to him at the moment. Checking his right hand, Zachery smiled in relief to see that he still had the shirt. He immediately tore off his ancient navy blue jacket and the orange shirt he already had on, throwing the shirt in the dumpster and the jacket on the ground. He pulled the new shirt over his head and smiled down at the dragon design. "This is a cool shirt!" Zachery said in delight. But his happiness quickly disappeared when he took the time to examine his hands: his left palm and right knuckles were bleeding.

"Uh oh..."

(Really sorry folks. Got grounded from the compy and then when I got it back I had started to get an upper respiratory infection. Ugh...not better yet, but at least I can think enough to post!)

Liel jumped at the sound of a knock at the door. "Matt?" her voice broke the silence and sounded worried.

"It's not them. I hope..." Matt replied. Liel heard him open a drawer and pull out either a knife or a gun (she could never tell which he pulled out, obviously). She quickly dove down behind the couch, as was customary when someone came to the door, while he peeped out. The tension was tangible in the air by now.

"It's okay, Liel. It's just Rose." Matt replied as he opened the door up. "You can get up now." Liel followed his instruction and stood up and looked around blankly.

"Hello, Rose. What are you doing here?" the two asked simultaneously as Liel approached Matt. "Are you tagged?" Matt asked quietly, meaning were 'they' following her.

Feeling extremely nervous, but not recognizing it as that, Zachery grabbed his jacket and stood up. He zipped it up quickly, and moaned as his blood began to stain both his hands crimson. The cuts were beginning to sting as well. Running out of the alley, Zachery started for the apartment building. He had his hand around the handle when someone grabbed him from behind.

"You're coming with me, thief," a rather tall man said, having witnessed Zachery's earlier theft. "You're an idiot for thinking you could get away."

Panicking now, the boy began to squirm, pulling in the opposite direction of the man. "No, let me go! I'm bleeding!"

"Be a man and suck it up!"

"I can't! The last time this happened, my head got real spinny and then I saw darkness!"

The man rolled his eyes, continuing on despite the boy's struggling. "Faking a high won't get you anywhere. Now shut up and let me take you-" The man stopped, feeling a sort of pressure in his head. He tried to shake it off, but that seemed to worsen it. "What the hell...?" The man turned towards Zachery and raised an eyebrow.

The boy had his mouth opened into a perfect O, almost like he was trying to sing an "oooh". But nothing was coming out of his maw; however, the boy's eyes were beginning to tear. It was like he was trying to apologize for something.

That's exactly what Zachery did as the man dropped, his blood vessels having popped.

Rosalina smiled when she saw that it really was Matt and Liel. She was practically emenating releif because she was beginning to get really worried. She laughed when Matt asked his question, even though she shouldn't have.

"Me? Tagged? Yeah right. I can now cover anything I'm touching." She reached out and touched Liel. She felt her dark perimeter jump onto Liel instantly. Whoever was under the shadow could still use their powers on anything. So she allowed Liel to read her and still kept them shaded. They were both untraceable.

She heard something out in the hall, and it had no effect on her. She quickly reached out her other hand to hold Matt's hand. She was trying to protect him, not sure if she was able to protect against bleeders or if the door between her and the bleeder saved her.

"Someone's here. A bleeder. Did you invite one here?" She asked the twins.

Zachery, as soon as the man fell, made a break for the apartment building. His head was starting to get "real spinny", his most recent- though necessary- murder increasing the rate at which he bled. He grabbed the door handle once again and immediately headed down a hallway. "HELP ME!" he shouted, holding out his hands. "HELP ME NOW!"

Rosalina heard someone shouting in hallway. She glanced at the twins and stepped outside. She had never seen the boy before, but something looked strange about him. He looked like her, used to living on the streets. Someone was chasing him. She stopped him in the hall, he was obviously taller than her, but as soon as she made contact with his skin she felt her shade spread to him.
"What are you running from?" She asked, hoping it wasn't the Organization. She looked into his eyes, searching for a reason for his screaming, but sadly she wasn't a Reader.

Rosalina closed the door behind her, making sure that if this boy turned bad that she didn't doom the twins. She looked at the boy's hand and held them in her own. She looked up at him and tried to comfort him. "What's wrong with your hands?" She looked up at the boy and tilted her head. "Were you the bleeder from before?" She knew that if he answered yes, he could be a danger from the Organization. Or he could be an outlaw like her.

"I was running from...people." Zachery paused to focus himself, his mind beginning to blur. This is not good, he thought to himself, feeling very sad sad. "I went into an alley and cut my hands on the ground. I need your help." Even though he was looking down at the girl, Zachery was feeling very small. He wanted to tell her he was a Bleeder, but he didn't know if he could trust her. She could be one of the mean people, for all he knew.

Rosalina stared up at the boy. She felt bad and knew what it was like to be startled and scared. "Would the people be an.... Organization by chance?" She asked, hoping she wasn't given away. She thought that that would be plenty of a clue for him to know she knew about the Organization. She looked at his hands again and reached into her messenger bag. She found an old skirt that she hated wearing and tore it into pieces. Skirts weren't good clothes to run in, but she always needed clothes. She took the shreds of cloth and wrapped it around his hands tighlty. "Well I'm no stich." She said under her breath.

Zachery held his hands out in front of him. They were bound, but the bandages were quickly turning the color of his blood. He moaned, ignoring Rosalina's question. "I don't know how to fix my hands!" he shouted, beginning to cry. "I'm going to be dead soon!" Zachery knew that was stretching the truth a little, but his head was getting lighter by the second and he didn't want to pass out. The last time that happened, approximately two months ago, a group of Organization members nearly caught him.

"I believe we have found the lost Subject 22," one whispered into a radio.

"Then kill him!" a voice shouted from the other end. The answer jerked Zachery awake, and how he escaped from that mess, even he didn't know.

"I'm not Subject 22..." he mumbled, feeling pangs of anger instead of fear now.

Rosalina looked as the blood began to soak through the tatter cloths. Her eyes were wide as she tried to think of a way to stop the bleeding. As her busy mind tried to come up with a solution, she heard the boy mumble something.

"Subject 22?" She half-asked, convinced he had run from the Organization. "I'm subject 13." She then realized that he might freak out and think she was with the Organization still so she cleared that quickly. "I got out." She hoped he understood what she was saying. Not wanting to take the mysterious boy back into the twins' room, she helped him to a sitting position in the hall. "It's okay, you're going to be okay."

"You too?" Zachery almost shouted, excitement temporarily causing him to forget his worry. "You too..." he said again in a much quieter tone. He wasn't alone anymore...Someone else had escaped the mean people...The relief Zachery felt made him burst into another round of tears.

"I-i'm Zachery..." he stuttered out. "But Zacky's a c-cooler name."
