Jasmine
"I'm home," Jasmine calls out as she steps into the small townhome she shares with her mentor Annette. Or technically the small townhome Annette shares with her apprentice. The townhome is small but pleasant and homey, perfect for the two women and located directly above the shop, making it quite convenient for the both of them.
"Welcome home," Annette says from the couch she's stretched out on, barely looking up from the book she's currently reading.
"Good book?" Jasmine asks as she walks past to her desk against the sidewall.
"Mmhmm," Annette murmurs, flipping to the next page.
"Another romance book?"
"Of course."
Jasmine laughs quietly as she sits down in the comfortable seat, old and worn smooth from much use. She picks up a couple of designs and mulls over them, erasing part of a pattern and adding on a new one, making minor changes to both dresses. She smiles satisfied with the designs after a minute or so and puts them down then starts looking through the papers for something else. After a couple of seconds her search becomes quite frantic as she looks under designs and lists that cover the entier desk for one thing in particular.
"What are you looking for?" Annette asks, noticing her searching. She marks the page and gets up, placing the book on the small table in front of the couch.
"A letter I had sitting here from earlier. I was sure it was right here when I left this morning, but now I can't find it," Jasmine says almost panickly.
"Oh! That's what you're looking for? I sealed and post marked it for you then put it in the evening mail run. Whoever you were sending it to will get it in the morning. I hope you don't mind," Annette adds on, noticing Jasmine's stricken face.
"Where did you send it to Annette?" Jasmine asks in a strangled voice.
Annette hesitates.
"Annette? Where did you send it to?" Jasmine asks again, her grip on the back of the chair tightening.
"I sent it to the adress you had penned on the top of the letter. Jasmine?! Jasmine what's wrong?!" Annette asks, suddenly alarmed as the color drains from Jasmine's face leaving it as white as freshly fallen snow.
"That letter was not meant to be sent," Jasmine manages to squeeze out of her closing throat. "Did you... Did you read it?"
"Of course not!" Annette says immediately, somewhat offended, but she immediately softens when she realizes Jasmine seems truely upset that she sent the letter. "Oh Jasmine, I'm so sorry. I hope I have not caused something by sending that letter. I could always try and go get it for you from the post office if you'd like."
"No... It doesn't matter... Thank you anyway Annette. I think I'll just go to bed now." She gets up from the chair and waves away Annette's always ready to help hands. "I'll be fine. I just need to rest..." Jasmine walks upstairs and to her small room in a daze. She sits down on the edge of the bed and drops her head into her hands. 'Why that letter? Why not any of the other ones? Why that one?' she thinks kind of ruefully. 'Why the one that could possibly ruin everything even more than it already is? At least I didn't sign it...' She scoffs at that thought, knowing he'd easily recognize her very distinct handwriting, and gets up from her bed and walks over to the window. She places her head against the wall and gazes out over the roofs of the city to the palace, thinking of what all that so short a letter can do - what only four little words written out in her elegant scroll can possibly do to her life. Those words?
I Still Love You.

Annette and her one customer both jump at Liam's sudden arrival and demanding question. Their eyes grow wide and both drop into a curtsy of respect. Annette notices the letter gripped in his fist. 'This is who Jasmine's letter was addressed to? This is him? But he's one of the Ancients!' Annette thinks, extremely surprised.
"Where is who, sir? Jasmine?" Annette asks. His gaze comes immediately to her and she struggles not to step back, she's so intimidated, even though there are several feet in between him and her. "She-she," Annette pauses and clears her throat. "She went out to the market to buy some fabric and food. She should be back any minute though." Soft laughter floats through the door into the shop from behind Liam. Annette glances out the window. Jasmine is being followed by two young children. She pauses for a couple seconds and puts down one bag in her arms then digs out two apples from the other one. She hands each child an apple then picks up her other bag. The kids hug her legs and tell her thanks then run off. Jasmine laughs again then walks into the dress shop. She brushes the stray piece of hair back from her face and raises her head, a smile still on her face. Then she sees who it is in front of her.
"Liam!" she gasps, the bags in her arms falling to the floor.

Evelyn sat quietly and stroked Night as she waited to be called out of the cell, she wasn't sure how long the wait would be she'd never been put in holding for anything before. She looked around and saw many different sights in each cell. Some held shady looking people with an evil gleam in their eyes that probably deserved to be in cells, as did most of the people in the dungeon. A few seemed to have to look of someone who was framed for a crime long ago and is waiting to have judgment passed on them still. A few of the werewolves in some of the cells seemed angry and full of hatred, almost rabid in Evelyn's eyes. She wondered what they all did to be put in a cell, if they had murdered someone, stolen to survive and gotten caught, or maybe like her been seen in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Then the door to the dungeon opened and two guards, one of them the same one from before walked in. They walked to the cell she was in and looked at the three large brutes knocked out on the floor then at her as if they were wondering weather they should really let her out. She understood there hesitation and got up and walked over to the cell door still cradling the injured Night in her arms. When she reached the door she calmly looked them both in the eyes and said, "It's fine I will not attack you unless you attack me first and I will not try retaliation from any bonding you may feel the need to use as long as there is no excessive force in putting them on. The guards looked at each other and nodded then opened the door and lead her out.
As routine protocol for handling prisoners they put shackles on her wrists that had chain links connecting each other and a longer chain link connected to a shackle they put on her neck. It didn't matter to her she would have had her arms busy and bound with Night in the same position the shackled did anyways. "If I didn't know any better I'd think the werewolves were very kinky and emotionally sexual in the subconscious of their race," she thought as the guards lead her out of the dungeon and up the stairs from it. She continued her thoughts on the werewolf race whilst being lead by the guards through the palace. She stopped her thoughts for a moment as she saw a small servant boy who seemed to be in a bit of a hurry to get to where ever his destination may be. "I wonder what he's in a hurry for..." she mumbled as she watched him go and then turned her attention back to the two guards on either side of her.
She looked around at the palace, everything was large and grandeur. The ceilings were as high up as the canopies in the forest, the stair cases large with a deep red rug placed delicately over the stairs. The walls a gray stone with light shades of gray and white swirled in each stone. They walked up to two large doors and opened them, the guards announced themselves and that they had Evelyn with them as per their lord's request. then lead her in. They took a step back and waited for further instructions.
Evelyn looked across the room to see one of the four ancients there. She recognized him as Christos, the eldest of the ancients. She had never met him before, to her pleasure, but she made it a point to know who the leaders of the races were at the very least their names and faces. She didn't know what was regular protocol for showing respect, however, in the werewolf race so her mind scattered and then recollected itself in mere milliseconds. She gave as deep of a bow as she could while holding Night in her arms and stayed bowed for a good five seconds before rising again. Then she remained silent until Christos said something, too on edge to want to risk the only slight chance she may have of him believing her by angering him.

Evelyn gave a mental sigh of relief when Christos didn't seem offended and spoke in a calmed tone. She was however slightly unnerved when he said she was of some sort of interest but didn't press the matter in her head rationalizing with herself that the reason she was arrested wasn't exactly a common one. She mentally cheered as he told her to speak her piece and praised the luck she had that he was in a listening mood that day.
"Thank you, your excellency, I am Evelyn Lynosry a cleric from the Forest of Longbourn. I had been called to the Noble Krovinich Family's residence to examine Nobleman Krovinich. I had been tending to this bird's injuries and when I arrived left him outside the bedroom of Nobleman Krovinich, so I could examine him without any interruptions and out of respect to him. When I finished and was about to be on my way Night was not in the traveling pouch I had had him in. I heard him squawk out a cry and found the Krovinich's teenager harming him, stretching his hurt wing touching his wounds throwing him in the air. I tried to get him to stop verbally, but he refused to stop, then I tried to take the bird from him and he used force in retaliation to me and I responded by hitting two pressure points in the base the back of his neck to bring him to his knees and release the bird, and then that's when Nobleman Krovinich's maid, wife, and sister came in, and all they saw was a stranger immobilizing their son. So I can completely understand why they were angry and assumed that I had done something." she explained trying not to be too chatty but making sure to include everything she found to be important and making sure to make a good deal of eye contact with Christos as she did.
She couldn't help but glance around the room. It was an armory of sorts, something that unnerved her further. She didn't like being in a room full of people skeptical oh her, with weapons no less. She made herself relax so as to not let her uneasiness build to the point where it showed through her face. Night shifted in her arms, she looked down at him, now finally in good enough light to fully assess his wound. Blood was dirtying the feathers of his wing and starting to drip onto the sleeve of her jacket and he was in obvious pain. Night looked from Evelyn to Christos and then laid his head back down on Evelyn's arm. She didn't like that he was going untreated but she was smart and knew better than to try to rush an ancient especially one that was currently in control of her near future.

Evelyn nodded to Christos then turned her attention to Night. Luckily for him she had a few medicines left on her person that she would be able to do something with them. She looked up at the guards and asked, "Could one of you two go get a warm wet cloth and a small bowl of water please?" She assumed there was a near by room with a sink because a guard left and came back just as Christos came back into the room from seemingly no where. Evelyn may have noticed any passage if not for her attention on Night. Then another one of the Ancients burst in. It was Blitz The second youngest of the four and, according to Evelyn's information, the most passionate of them all. He always had fierce emotions and followed them quite often from what she had heard. She would've gotten up to give him a bow as she had Christos earlier but was much too busy with Night.
As Blitz and Christos walked out of the room Evelyn was cleaning the blood from Night's feather and wound gently. Then she pulled out the herbs she had and smelled them mixing a few in a bag one of the herbs was kept in and then poured it into the small bowl of water. Then she got Night to drink it and re bandaged his wound with the last of the medical supplies she had on her. "Well we're sure lucky now. lord Christos was in the mood to listen and I had just enough of everything to patch you up and get some dead weight off," she said to Night as she picked him back up gently.
She then started to look around the armory. It had many different weapons, some of which didn't even look like they had been wielded but were just there for show. They were, for the most part cleaned and sharp, some were mounted some were in cases and some were just laid against the wall. She made sure to keep her hands to herself as she scanned the weapons. There were weapons of all kinds from halberds to throwing knives and to Evelyn's pleasure some bows.
Evelyn stopped to take in the detail of one bow. "Oh..." she mumbled under her breath in curiosity as she looked at it. It was a long bow that was sliver and black, it had intricate swirls and other details carved into the bow. However, what caught Evelyn's eye was that it had four stings. They were perfectly place to where an expert bowman could wield and accurately shoot four arrows at once. She looked closer to see the engravings of a familiar symbolic signature, it was the signature of Xyclar Stedent, a most renown bow maker amongst the elves. He's weapons were hard to come by and expensive in his life due to his high standards, he would only make bows for people worthy of the bow. She started to wonder if it had been made for one of the ancients or if they had just bought it, and lost herself in her curiosity as she examined the bow more. She also found herself flashing back on when Blitz entered and started to think out loud. "I wonder what Lord Blitz was so upset about..." she muttered as she continued to look at the bow.

Evelyn heard a commotion that snapped her out of he slight entrancement with the bow and turned towards the door as it opened. The second eldest of the ancients, Benjamin, rushed in and out with a large pole to aid him in stopping the fighting. She followed in suit shortly after he pushed the two brothers out of view. She ran over and found Benjamin standing on a balcony. She ran up and bowed to Benjamin the looked over the edge of the balcony, down at the now wet Blitz and Christos.
She guessed Benjamin had just wanted to stop the fighting and had gotten his wish. "That was very quick thinking Lord Benjamin," she said to him.
Just then the two guards ran up from behind her and one of them said, "Miss Lynosry, I understand that the dispute may have cause a commotion, but until ordered otherwise I'm afraid you're a prisoner here and we must ask you to return to the armory with me at once."
Evelyn went to say something but the jingling of the shackles on her neck and wrists reminded her that she was still indeed in holding. she looked back over the edge of the balcony at the two brothers who were by now up and out of the fountain and said, "It looked like they were in a somewhat serious brawl before Lord Benjamin stopped them. As a cleric I feel the need to check to make sure they may not have caused each other any somewhat serious injuries, and should have medical attention to any harm they may have caused each other immediately," she started to debate but the two guards merely bowed to Benjamin then gently grabbed her by her arms and started to lead her back to the armory.

Jasmine
"What is this?" Liam growls, his palm opening up. Jasmine gasps when she sees the wrinkled letter with those four possibly life-changinig words written on them. "How could you send me something like this? You are married, Jasmine. This is absolutely unacceptable and childish. It is not my fault if you still have feelings for me. Do not send me things such as this when I have no concern in your love life any longer. Do you hear me?" She stares into his eyes, seeing the anger burning within in eyes and his voice sounded low and dangerous to her.
Annette is suddenly at Jasmine's side, a protective, almost motherly arm. "Married? Jasmine's not married! She's been living here with me as my apprentice for a number of years now and not once has she been in a relationship, and if she has then I was not aware of it. But one thing I am quite assure of is that she is not married. Besides, it was an accident that that was even sent. Which means there is no need for you to just come storming in here and-!" Annette stops suddenly as Jasmine places a hand on her arm.
"Thank you Anette," she says quietly, looking at her mentor. "There has just been a slight... Misunderstanding here. Why don't you help our customer while Li-," she pauses and clears her throat, blinking rapidly, glancing at Liam, "I mean, Lord Liam work this out. Like i said there's just been a simple misunderstand. No need for any shouting matches. We wouldn't want the neighbors to worry," she says calmly and cooly, giving both Annette and Liam pointed looks.
"Alright Jasmine. I'll clean this stuff up and continue with our customer. You two go work this out either upstairs or in the back please," Annette says a little strained. She bows stifly to Liam then takes the bag of fabric and other material from Jasmine and starts to gather the bags and their spilled contents off the floor. Jasmine turns and faces Liam once more.
"Please follow me my lord," she says tonelessly to Liam, addressing and bowing to him formally, as if he's just one of her kings instead of someone she was once in a relationship with. Her eyes betray her though, showing every bit of hurt, loneliness, longing, and strong love she still feels for Liam. She turns and nervously adjusts the neck of her dress then runs a hand over her forehead, brushing that stray piece of hair back as she leads him into the back of the shop.
"If you follow me upstairs please, we can probably both agree on the idea that we don't want anyone to hear us." She leads him to a staircase leading into the apartment she Annette share above the shop and goes up. Once they're both inside she closes the door behind him, leaning against it for a second. With a sigh she straightens up and turns towards Liam.
"Like Annette said. I am not married and I never have been. And that letter was not supposed to be sent last night, nor was it ever supposed to be. I'm sorry that Annette sent it to you. She didn't know not to. She didn't even read it." Jasmine turns away from Liam suddenly, trying to hide the hurt, her quivering bottom lip, and the tears welling up in her eyes and threatening to spill over.
"I'm sorry," she says in a strangled voice, her shoulders shaking some as the tears start running down her cheeks. She wraps her arms around herself tightly, as if trying to hold what's left of herself together, the shock of Liam being in the same room as her finally setting in.
OOC Notes
Evelyn had only been in the armory a few moments when Benjamin walked in and and asked her to come with him. Of course she obliged and the guards followed suit with her bd they had confiscated. Benjamin lead her to the back where the fountain was that Blitz and Christos dully sat in. "Mi Lords, might I request you get out of the fountain? The water could be dirtied by animals passing by and you don't want that getting into any wounds," she called out. Evelyn then turned to the guards and handed one of them Night. "Don't put too much pressure on his hurt wing," she simply said to him. the other gurad undid the shackles on her and handed her her bag.
By now Christos and Blitz both were just stepping out of the fountain. She made her way over to them as the both sat on the edge of the fountain with a good distance between eachother. "Well kings or not, they certainly act like brothers," she thought as she made her way to Christos first. She gave a bow to him and then knelled down and started to tend to his wounds with the supplies from her bag. He didn't have anything too serious a few cuts and a lot of bruising. His worst injury was a bite wound on his waist. She treated all thw wounds, putting an ointment that would be very cool feeling to Christos on the bruises then cleaning and wrapping the wounds, taking care of the bite on his waist first since it was bleeding the most of all his wounds. Normally she may have streated Blitz first since it seemed as though he had gotten worse injuries than Christos, btu she still needed to stay in Christos' good graces, if that was even possible now.
She stood back and asked him if he needed any medicine for any pian. Either he was too roud tosay yes or werewolves pain endurance was evn higher than she though, she knew it was higher than the average elf. Either way he simply huffed some air, glared at Blitz and said no. She then moved over to Blitz and bowed to him then examined his wounds, his worst wound was a slash across hi chest. Technically three from the extended claws all swipping him in a swift blow. The neatness of the cuts showed how werewolves were natural weapons in their transformed states.
She knlled down and started to get out the same ointments and medicines and bandages she'd used on Christos. "This will sting some Lord Blitz," she said and then started to pour a thick luquid over his wounds to clean and kill and bacteria in them. Then she dried off the areas around the wounds and started to treat each one. Unlike with Christos she had to save Blitz' worst injury for last. When she got to it she examined it further and frowned at what she saw, when werewolves fight transformed it wasn't uncommon for the tips of their claws to break off, and instrantly be replaced, once they got too dull. This had happened here, luckily when the change back to humanoid forms was mad the claw became smaller and not visible to the untrained eye. It had become lodged in just below the basic visibility of the opened wound. She put a sterilized latex glove on her right hand and said, "Brace yourself Lord Blitz, this will hurt," as she place her left hand on his left shoulder. The first thing she noticed when she did was that he was very warm, she knew werewolves natrually had a slightly raised body temperature but she had only touched ill ones who usually were a bit colder than normal. She refocused and slide her fingers in under the wound, she quickly grabbed ahold of the claw. "Alright I'm going to pull it out, it's going to hurt, just try not to hit me out of reflex," she said trying to crack a small joke knowing that sometimes people were unneasy and tense when they knew they were about to be in pain. She counted to three and pulled the calw out as quickly as she could while doing it safely enough to not make any new cuts.
She could feel his muscles tense and assumed his teeth to be clenched at the least but didn't look up to see, staying focused on the matter at hand. Once the clasw was all the way out she placed it down and removed the glove. She examined the wound more and gave a small smile, "Well it's a bad injury but with the natrual regenerations werewolves have it should heal in no time and doesn't need stitching," she said as she finished dressing the wound and then wrapped it in a gauze finally. She asked him the same question for pain medicine and got the same answer as she had for Christos then she stood back and placed her things back in her bag. the gaurds instantly moved over and took her bad then reshackled her and handed her Night. She sort of figured they would do that when she was done since she was still in holding. She then turned to Blitz and Christos, "You two should take it easy and don't spar for about three days or so. Rewrap the bandages and clean the wounds before you get to bed and when you wake up," she said finishing up her job as a cleric. She stepped back behind benjamin again unsure of what to do now or why she was even still in holding if she had been granted a warning but didn't dare speak to question it this very moment. Instead she looked at Blitz curiously wondering why he had been so angry to begin with.
By now Christos and Blitz both were just stepping out of the fountain. She made her way over to them as the both sat on the edge of the fountain with a good distance between eachother.
OOC Notes
Evelyn had been brought back to the armory, on the walk there she wanted to ask the guards if the brothers had always fought like that, but decided it not to be her place to. When she got back in the armory she instantly walked back to the bow, on the opposite side of the entrance to the armory, that she had been looking at before. Then the same three of the four ancients from before walked in. She turned around and saw them and bowed to them yet again.
Benjamin asked her how much it would cost them for her services to his two brothers. She simply flashed a charming smile and said, "Oh there's no need for payment from any of you, this was off duty and I couldn't just ignore Lord Blitz's and Lord Chirstos' injuries," she explained. Then she went on to add, "But, I wouldn't mind getting these shackles off for good."
She looked back at them after glancing around the armory again, "This is an extensive armory you all have here," she said stating a small observation then went on to add, "Mi'Lords.... why am I still in holding here? If you have any other business with me please tell me." she said in a requesting tone not an ordering one.

OOC Notes
Evelyn smiled as Blitz removed the shackles from her wrists and neck and enjoyed finally feeling like she was no longer a prisoner in the castle but more of a visitor. Then she nodded in acknowledgment when Blitz warned her not to touch anything. She assumed he was speaking of the bow specifically, since that was what she had been showing an interest in when they had arrived. Then Christos inquired about Sarah Bruno's past visits to her Pharmacy.
"Sarah Bruno?" she asked more to herself than anyone else finding it odd that they would bring her up. "Yes, she's a close friend she often visits me when ever she sneaks out of home, but I didn't think a young one defiling their parents wishes would be of any interest to the kings of the Werewolves," she said while mentally making an observation to herself that they might suspect Sarah of something else more serious. "And yes, she often uses medicine I give her to safely sneak out to visit me, her parents do not approve of her leaving their home very much, so it's her only option that I know of, a good deal of the time." she went on to answer his second question.
She took a small step to the side getting just out of reach of Blitz, not quite comfortable being with someone whom she didn't trust who possessed such brute strength and political power. Although, she'd much rather be closer to him than Christos or Benjamin. Night wriggled in her arms and she put him down on the floor, he started to walk randomly around the room making sure to stick somewhat close to Evelyn though. It was a common characteristic for wounded Silver Knight Birds to try to get exercise when they couldn't fly by walking a good amount. She then looked back up at Christos slightly curious and said, "Why are the actions, common for an adolescent of any race to take, of such interest to the Ancient Ones?" Only after she asked had she realized that it was very bold of her to ask and may of come off as a bit out of place but she remained steady none the less.

Re: [OOC] Rebellion
ZOMG! So, this is totally horrendous of me to have totally just dropped off. Gah! I won't promise that it won't happen again because I hate breaking promises and this is a potential promise to be broken. Anyway, I hope to get things restarted shortly. We can even restart the entire RP in another thread if needed. Just let me know your thoughts, and I shall consider.
Re: [OOC] Rebellion
I would just like to inform you that I am intrigued in joining your roleplay.

Re: [OOC] Rebellion
Everyone:
Hey I wanted to come on the behalf of both MistressDarkstar and I to apologize for the absence...mine longer than hers. We truly apologize, but there are things that prohibit us from being here and posting steadily at the moment. Mistress is dealing with work, family, and band camp at the moment. I don't know how many of you are aware, but I am sick. It's not a sickness that will go away quickly. I'm in the process of discovering what it is that leaves my body weak and unable to handle simple daily activity. I'm often too tired to put in the effort to post. I don't know when I'll be able to get back to posting and neither does Mistress. We are both sincerely sorry as I''ve said and hope to be returning as soon as our circumstances allow it. Please be patient and don't put this rp too far out of your mind. It is both Mistress's wish and mine that this rp will be revived. Happy posting!
toodles! : )
