((NOTE: Since I have so many characters, I will always post in Everingham. However, I will specifically note the place where I am in BOLD at the beginning of each character. Everyone with one character is to abide by the Location Rules, which you can view in the PLACES tab.))
Forest of Longbourn
Zane ran through the Forest of Longbourn, listening for anyone following him. It was a dangerous thing he was doing, sneaking out, but he would do it for Kara any day. Kara was the sunshine in his world. When everything seemed bleak and hopeless, Kara showed him otherwise. A simple smile was all it took to remove all the stress he had from the day. The notes he got from her were a treasure to him. He always kept them. They were hidden in a small hole in the Pemberly city walls. No one would ever find them, he knew this, but he had to be careful about when he put them in there. After all, Lycans were not idiots.
After about a twenty minute run from Pemberly to the spot in the Forest where he met Kara, Zane crouched down in the shadows, listening for Kara's arrival. The Forest Elves were sleeping, only guards were awake, but they were far enough from the village to safely go unspotted by the guards or any passer-bys. The note he'd received last night had told him that Kara wanted to meet tonight. He'd had no need to agree, she knew he would be there as he always was.
Thinking back as he waited, Zane realized they'd been together for quite sometime. Kara, when they'd first met, was very guarded and fragile. Her past had not let her willingly love him; he'd had to prove to her that he would not harm her. His rule-breaking had proved his faithfulness and feelings to her, but the trust he'd earned had been a harder effort. It was all worth it, though. Now, Kara was strong and loving, trusting of Zane completely. He'd always trusted her, always loved her, but he'd never found her wariness to love him back a problem. He understood how hard trust was to gain and how easily it could be shattered, and he was willing to risk everything to gain her trust, to gain her love. And so he had.
Zane was in his wolf form, but it was still clear as anything that he was smiling. The soft padding of feet alerted him to Kara's arrival and he stood, shifting into his human form as he did so. A quick look at the moon told him he would have no problems tonight--the moon was not full tonight. When her form finally became clear to his somewhat poor eyesight--a terrible side effect of being a Lycan--Zane whispered, knowing she would hear him.
"Good evening, lovely."
Pemberly
Lia Kim paced around the small house, walking out on the small balcony with frustration. The house she and Zane shared was on the third level of houses, which wasn't a problem since Lycans could jump fairly high, but it didn't allow her much pacing room. She paced from the back of the house to the balcony, back and forth, back and forth.
Where had he gone? It was too late for him to be anywhere reasonable. The entire city was sleeping, or supposed to be. Had he gone to another one of those parties with his friends? Lia Kim scanned the city from her viewpoint and vaguely heard the noise of party goers just outside the city walls. Parties were common in Pemberly, but since the city was to be quiet at this late hour, they were only allowed to take place just outside the city walls.
Why are you angry, Lia Kim? a faint voice in her head asked. She sighed and returned to her bedding in the house, sitting down rather than lying down. He is old enough to take care of himself. Let him. So long as he is not breaking any rules, he is in no way a threat. Lia Kim listened to her mother's voice try to soothe her. Her mother's voice could only be heard with her, so it was argued that the voice was a figment of Lia Kim's imagination.
Shaking her head and lying down, Lia Kim spoke softly, careful not to wake her neighbors below her. "Yes, but what if he is breaking the rules, even at the parties?" she muttered sleepily.
Netherfield
"Where is Blitz, Benjamin? I must speak with him about his lack of attendance at our meetings." Christos was settling in his chair in the Armory, where he and his brothers had come to review the newly created weapons. It was late, but a King's day never truly ended.
"He's probably scaling the palace with the servant boy, Joshua," Benjamin replied. He was not one for talking and when he did, he was very direct. The only time he truly talked was at Werewolf Training. That was his job and his passion, so why wouldn't he be more lively there?
"Yes, well, someone must retrieve Blitz for me," Christos ordered, his eyes flicking to Liam. Liam was the youngest and one of the quieter ones. Christos had no time for quiet and young, so he wasn't too fond of Liam. Being the oldest, Christos had the power to order the youngest brother around. "Go, Liam. I have matters to discuss with Benjamin, so he cannot go himself." Whether Liam obeyed or not was a different story.
"And what matters would that be, brother?"
"Matters that must be discussed in private. Liam."

OOC Notes
Deep within the Elven village of Longbourn resides a small store. Like many of the older 'buildings' it was actually a large tree that had grown to be large and hollow. The tree was one hundred feet tall easily but the inhabitant seemed to only use about three stories of the tree as a home. A few wood paned windows were in the tree's trunk and has small vines grown around the window panes with the occasional flower sprouting on them. The tree trunk itself was an odd yet lovely mixture of greens yellows and browns. A small wooden door was at the base of the tree, it had a simple yet decorative carving on it that appeared to be flower vines going up the sides of the door, which was made slightly less impressive by the actual flower vines growing up the wall just on either side of the door. The flower vines grew up and followed two branches that jutted out of the tree just about the door. Between the edges of the two branches hung a sign that read in intricate calligraphy,Lynosry Pharmacy.
Above the door a ways was a small balcony with flowers all around it and two hanging lamps hanging from branches, which made a small sort of canopy over the balcony. The was not a second balcony above that but the third floor appeared to have many windows. Inside on the first floor the first thing one would notice upon entering would be the sound of a bell chime from the bell attached to the door. The floor seemed to be a hard wood of some sort and the walls were obviously the inside of the trunk with the occasional flower here and there as well. The walls were lined with many tall shelves holding different glasses full of herbs, remedies, odd ingredients, liquids of other matters, and books. A small desk was to the immediate right of the door with a chair behind it. If one were to sit in the chair they would be perfectly visible from the street through one of the windows. The desk was simple and had a light purple book with a silver metal design on the spine and red gems in it. In the far back of the room were some stairs that appear almost like a natural part of the inside of the tree trunk.
The second floor was obviously a cozy little home, similar walls and flooring to the first floor. There wasn't much just a main little room with a few chairs and a table, a door that lead to a small bathroom, another to a small kitchen, and another to a normal sized bedroom which linked to the balcony. If on were to walk out to the balcony they would have a lovely view of the local area of Longbourn. If one were to look to the right as they come onto the balcony they would see a small staircase that spiraled slightly around the tree, this lead to the third floor where Evelyn currently found herself.
From the street a quiet boom could be heard and a few moments later Evelyn opened a window and and small poof of smoke followed then cleared. Evelyn's hair was slightly messy and she seemed a bit disgruntled but she quickly regathered herself. A guard passing by looked up and asked if she was alright.
"I'm fine, thank you!" she called back and then left the window open to air out the room. The third floor, like the first, was one large room that had many shelves and tables around it. the shelves were lined with the same many things as the first. the tables has small viles, tubs, glasses and other various measuring items on them. Two tables even had small burners on them with a table with a large sink installed between the two. One of the tables has some liquid spilled on it and some soot over part of it and on the burner.
"Well, note to self Salamander Essence, Moon Bloom Extraction, and Purveenos Roots do not make a good mix," she chuckled a bit and started to clean up the small mess she had made. "Today's been a bit slow in the shop, maybe I should close early and go to the forest to gather more herbs......." she stopped what she was doing and looked around. "Well I can't complain other than everyday first aid I'm normally only needed in a time of danger or heartache so if business is going slow then I can't be unhappy." she thought as she rummaged around making a note of things she needed. She headed down to the second floor and changed from her white everyday outfit to her green and white travel wear. A are green corset top with light green engravings and designs, an identical dark green jacket with small shoulder pads and light green engravings and designs, that jacket was layer somewhat in the front and closed hooked just where the bottom of her corset was. She wore a loose pleated white skirt that went to just above her knees and green knee-high boots with light green design on them as well. She headed down and grabbed the purple and silver book off her front desk and put up a sign in the window that said 'closed'. She walked out of the shop and locked the door.
The area was full of similar trees with shops, small stands with flowers growing in the wood, during the day children would be playing together, vendors, and friendly people would be out and about, but in the night it was quite, the streets were lined with lamps and small fireflies flickered. Evelyn smiled and started on her way to get out of the village occasionally avoiding a guard here or there just because she didn't like to be interrupted when she was on her way to get herb or she'd forget what herbs she needed. She got to a the outer edge of the village after a short while of walking and slipped her book into a secure strap to her waist. With ease and her elf like grace she jumped to a near by tree branch. She started to jump from tree to tree getting further from the village and higher up off the ground with each jump. Eventually she was near where the leaves of the old tall trees were. Every now and then she would stop and pick an herb or two at the canopy and then move on her way again. After a while she started to jump down from branch to branch and walked on the forest floor. In the beauty she couldn't help but sing a little lullaby that she knew as she enjoyed the peacefulness.
As she sang she heard a flapping then thumping and thrashing sound. She easily made it out to be a bird flying into a tree and thrashing on the ground. She got up and investigated to find a Silver Knight Bird. The bird go it's name from its silver feathers and the way they spiked up off it's head like a knights helmet, and their nature of often swooping in and distracting predators hunting on the ground. They can grow to be quite large but this one must have only been a few weeks old and was bit smaller than an owl. This particular one had sliver feathers with light blue tips on the wings and long flowing tail feathers and had light blue eyes as well. "Oh poor thing it's wing is hurt," Evelyn mumbled as she reached down and picked it up. She moved over to the rock again and got a small stick and some bandage and turned it into a makeshift splint. "That will have to do for now, looks like I'll have to take care of you till you're better," she mumbled as she picked up the surprisingly calm bird and started to walk off, headed back for the village, once again singing the lullaby.

((Because of my mutltiple characters like Mistress I will always be posting in Everingham, but I will put in bold the specific location of each character))
Forest of Longbourn
the night was warm and the moon bright as Kara flitted through the lush green Forest of Longbourn. Her small paws pounded against the moss covered ground and her sleek silver fur pressed against her body as the wind whipped past her. She was running as fast as her tiny body could take her for one reason and one reason only, Zane. She had sent him a not the night before telling hiim to meet her tonight. She had to see him. It had been so long. Too long for her heart to bear.
At the thought of his smiling face and his warm embrace her paws pounded faster and she pushed herself to go more quickly. Her eyes were glittering brightly as she neared the spot they always met at. He would be there. She would be able to see him, to hold him, and talk to him; the man who had changed her life forever.
Looking back on that first meeting Kara was amazed at the change Zane had brought to her. She's been such a nervous frightened little creature with no trust for anything in the world. Her past was awful, it had taught her to loath, hate, and distrust men, but Zane had taught her differently. With patience, tenderness, and love he had gained her trust. She no longer feared the world, but embraced it. She had no fears. Instead, she had Zane.
Up ahead she saw a figure amongst the trees and her heart skipped a beat. She bounded energetically out of the trees and lept at him. As her paws hit the ground she changed and stood before him in human form. She was very small with light peachy skin and delicate features. Her hair was pale blonde and wavy all down her back and her eyes which with fixed on Zane were the same midnight blue and they sparkled with love and happiness as she looked at him.
"Oh Zane!" she cried as she launched herself into his arms, "I've missed you!"
Longbourn
Beth walked slowly down the small street of Longbourn towards her home humming softly to herself. The bright moonlight spilled over her turning her gorgeous dark brown curls that fell to her waist a pretty silvery glow and a very becoming shine to her large violet eyes. She was a tiny little thing with soft ivory skin and pointy ears that poked through her lovely tresses. She wore around her neck a thin chain of gold holding a delicately formed rose that her mother had given to her. She stroked it absently as her mind wandered through the recent happenings at home. Her eldest sister Susan was engaged to be married.
A gentle smile lit up her innocent face at the thought of her sister's wedding. Even though it was a little scary for Beth to give up one of her sisters whom she loved dearly she was so happy that her sister was happy for the happiness of others was the only thing that truly mattered to Beth. Sweet gentle Beth lived to make other people happy. She had devoted herself body and mind to her sister so the wedding would be perfect and had just finished collecting floweres to make Susan's headpiece.
She stopped for a moment and lifted the cloth covering her basket to peek at the flowers checking to make sure they were sill in tact. After examining the delicate white petals she was satisfied and set of for home at a quicker pace making the light lavender fabric of her gown rustle softly.

Liam stood silently as he always did listening to his older brother's talk while he thought of other things; Jasmine, but they mustn't know that. He hadn't spoken of her for years. No one knew how attached he'd truly been to her. When she'd left he'd faked indiffernce, but he missed her terribly. A deep sigh escaped him just as his eldest brother Christos addressed him.
Go, Liam. I have matters to discuss with Benjamin, so he cannot go himself." Liam rolled his eyes as Benjamin asked a question. It was such a bother to be the youngest brother at times. He was always sent as errand boy. Didn't they have servents to do this? He looked back to Christos as he finished speaking with Benjamin."Matters that must be discussed in private. Liam."
With an angry glare Liam pushed himself away fromt the wall he was leaning against and stormed from the room without a word. He marched down the hall searching for Blitz angry at him for not being where Christos wanted him and angry at Christos for making him fetch his brother. Liam stormed through the rooms looking for Blitz until finally he found him lurking alone. With determined steps Liam walked up to Blitz and scowled at him.
"Christos is looking for you," Liam growled then turned on his heel and left the room before Blitz could ask any questions. In a few quick strides he had made it to the door to the dungeo and made his way down the long winding staircase to take a leisurly stroll through the dark and damp cells where they kept all their rule breakers.

((Very good posts for the first round, everyone! I know a couple have not posted, but it's time to move on with each of our characters. The Locations Rules still apply, but so far everyone has done a fabulous job of following them, so I don't think I should have to remind anyone after this point.))
Forest of Longbourn
Zane's heart lept when he could see his beloved Kara clearly. She lept towards him, shifting into her human form as she landed. He kept still and admired her beauty. Her pale blonde hair was so long and wavy, flowing and soft to the touch; her eyes were the most mesmerizing midnight blue he'd ever seen; her figure was perfectly sculpted, her feminine curves very pleasing to look at. He noticed the baby soft smoothness of her face, her hands, and especially noticed her lips. They were always inviting and warm, hints of love and passion, the gentle caress of them always sending butterflies through his stomach.
Kara threw herself into his arms and he chuckled, wrapping his arms around her with a gentle security. She was so delightful to hold, and he would delight in it everyday of his life, even if he was not able to do anything more than that.
"Oh, Zane! I've missed you," she cried. Zane squeezed her and held her tight, assuring her that he felt the same.
"I've missed you too, Kara. More than you can fathom," he whispered, bringing his head down to kiss the top of her head. For several moments he just held her, but when he finally pushed away just slightly, he put a gentle, yet rough in texture, hand up to cradle her face lovingly. His thumb stroked her jaw line and he searched her eyes for her emotions. He grinned at what he found and leaned down to kiss her softly, the butterflies in his stomach suddenly becoming noticable.
[I'm leaving her to sleep for the moment, let Zane and Kara have their meeting.]
Netherfield
Blitz
Blitz was pacing the darkened hallways as he always did, thinking about nothing in particular. He was the Palace Guardian and a King, but the two were separate jobs that he balanced with ease. He, as well as his brothers, knew that Christos, being the oldest, had the most control over how Everingham was ruled. Because of this, Blitz had taken to listening and providing very little input at the meetings; he was the third born, so his opinion wasn't priority anyway. To counter his lack of input, he'd taken on Palace Guardian on his own, using his natural skills to scale the palace like none other. Joshua, his servant who was more like his son, was the only one who could climb with skill even remotely in comparison to his own.
Joshua was a young Werewolf, now about sixteen or seventeen, who'd never had true parents. His mother had died in child birth, and his father had blamed Joshua for all of his life. When he was twelve, Joshua had been beaten in public by his father. It was not a well chosen day for his father to do this, for The Ancients were taking a walk through Netherfield to be more 'personal' with their people. It was not frowned upon in Werewolvian society to effectively teach children right from wrong, but upon investigation and observation, it was clear that Joshua's father was in the wrong. Christos had watched, delighting that the young generation was getting taught to mature at such a young age. Benjamin had been scrutinizing, but wouldn't dare go against his brother. Blitz had seen the horror and could not stand that his brothers would do nothing to help the poor, innocent boy. If this beating had kept up, the boy could have very well died; the father had already been on the verge of shifting because of his growing anger. Blitz had bit back his own urge to shift forms, and pushed forward. He'd easily overcome Joshua's father, moving Joshua to stand behind him. The father had blinked, then fallen to his knees, begging forgiveness. There had been no mistake that the father had known immediately who'd ended the vicious beating. Full of anger and lacking any sympathy for the father, Blitz had had him brought to the Palace for further judgement, and Joshua had then been adopted into his care. The father had been sentenced to death for a number of violations and for the vicious beating given in the public plaza, but Joshua remained under Blitz's care from that day forward. Neither Christos nor Benjamin had even mentioned their opinion on the matter, knowing Bitz would get what he wanted in the end.
His thoughts were interrupted by Liam, his younger brother. "Christos is looking for you," he growled bitterly. Blitz turned, biting down a remark about respect, but had no time to respond as Liam left, seeking a calming, he hoped, walk.
With a sigh, Blitz set off to the Armory. He'd known very well he was supposed to be there, but he had no interest. His swords were just fine. As Palace Guardian, his weapons were all that mattered. Since they were fine and in need of no repairs or improvements, he'd decided to 'skip' the meeting to go about his job patrolling.
As he walked, Blitz thought of Liam's biting words. He'd done nothing to Liam to deserve that, but someone had obviously ticked him off. It was a wonder he hadn't shifted already. Blitz loved his younger brother, but often times he did not show it. He was always off patrolling, scaling the Palace, walking among the people, or sleeping, so Liam never received any signs of his love for him. He would have to talk to him later, as out of the box as that was for him.
Blitz had reached the Armory and pushed the door open to hear his brothers let their words fade into whispers and then fade altogether. They'd been talking about something he was not meant to hear. That realization frustrated him, but he didn't show it. It was an ability he was particularly skilled at: concealing his emotions. As Palace Guardian it was often necessary.
"Christos. Benjamin."
Christos and Benjamin
"Ah, Blitz. So glad you could join us," Christos berated. He had not been pleased that Blitz had skipped the Weapons Review. Benjamin was indifferent as he expected nothing more of Blitz to begin with.
"Yes, well, the notion that I am even needed is debatable. It appears you and Benjamin were doing just fine in my absence," Blitz retorted. Bejamin bit back any remarks he may have had to watch Christos. Christos did not take kindly to any of this.
"As Palace Guardian and King it is you duty to attend Weapons Review in the Armory! You control the entire city's defense force just by being Palace Guardian, so it is dually important that you attend these meetings, not for yourself but for your troops!" Christos countered, the anger clear in his voice. He took a deep breath, feeling his blood heating to the verge of taking an undesired shift. "You will attend these meetings from now on," he ordered, his voice a bit more calm, but forceful. Benjamin said nothing, but silently agreed by saying nothing to counter Christos. Blitz narrowed his eyes and his nostrils flared.
"You are dismissed," Benjamin said, knowing Blitz would not be able to take much more. He was good at concealing his emotions, but even Benjamin knew where the line was. Christos shot a glance at Benjamin, but nodded. Blitz turned and stormed out, slamming the wooden door behind him.
"Why did you release him? I was not finished talking with him," Christos demanded.
"Could you not see, brother? He was quite angry. It was best to let him go."
"Yes, but we didn't discuss the matters at hand."
"They can wait another day. Let's retire to bed now, brother."
"Yes, we can deal with the Orb tomorrow, I suppose."
With that, both brothers left the Armory and retired to their respective bedrooms. They were both alone tonight, but neither cared as it was late as it was.
Zane

Kimberly Jasmine Summers
Kimberly had lived in Thortan Lacey her entire life, and today was no exception. Her long brown hair blew in the sunlight and her midnight blue eyes challenged anyone who dared to insult her. She chose to wear her usual skirt and blouse that were both blue. Her skirt had a peace of golden lace that she had stitched on. She wore her flat shoes that had seen better days. She only put her hair up for a special occasion, however she mostly left her hair down. Which gets into her face often and people are unable to see her beautiful facial features. Today she had her hair braided in a long pony tail, her bangs were pushed to either side of her face. " I have rose petals for a lucky Romeo!!!! A lucky Romeo!!!! How about you sir are you feeling lucky today?" She called out in a tempting voice. The man walked by, without so much as a word to her. No matter how hard she tried she wasn't selling any of her herbs or spices. Not even her finest flower petals, she put her wares in the emerald satchel and put her midnight blue cloak on. She made her way to the gate and made sure the hood covered her face. She walked for hours and hours on end finally coming to a meadow in the forest near Thorton Lacey.
She examined all of the flower's and picked a few of them. She came to the meadow often, attempting to escape her mother's question's and her father staring down any unworthy male. She sat down then yawned, since her mother had kicked her out of the house she couldn't go back unless she was married. Her mother had introduced her to so many different men, but she had no interest in any of them at all. As she laid down in the bed of flower's staring at the cloud’s she began thinking of ways to get away from the life she knew. She would never have to deal with her mother’s constant question’s. She would never have to deal with her father’s constant stared downs of prospective men. True she was an only child, but she wouldn’t be able to get away from her life if she didn’t explore the world and see the sights. She suddenly began changing into the form of a mustang. She quickly got her clothes off knowing if she didn’t that she would no longer have any clothes. The pain was horrible, her body twisted and contracted in agony. She closed her eyes and laid their for a few minutes. She took several deep breathes and then got up on shaky legs. She realized as she opened her eyes that she was a brown and white paint with black mane and tail. Her eyes had changed to a deep-rich crystal blue color.
She snorted then, she began walking slowly around. Soon she was running around the meadow in a large circle. She whinnied in delight, after a while she began to get thirsty. Their was a small jug of water in her satchel. However, she wasn’t ready to change back just yet. She rolled around in the flower’s for a while. It was then she thought of her father. He had taken her to this meadow several times and had shown her the different flower’s and he had also taught her how to recognize poisonous and non-poisonous herbs and spices. He was the best father any one could ask for, and it was then she knew she missed both of them. It was that sudden loneliness that kept her their in the city. She began the slow painful bone popping, gut-wrenching transformation. After a few minutes of just laying in the flower’s and breathing she got dressed again and then realized that if she didn’t hurry back she would be locked out of the city again. However, she was to far away to make it and to tired to walk, so she sat their for a while just relaxing and enjoying the sun.
When she thought that she would be able to stand up again, she did so. She began the long walk back, on occasion seeing a fair. She thought she heard someone creeping around behind her but immediately dismissed it. She kept on walking for hours on end once again and sat down for a few minutes. She picked a few edible mushrooms near her and put them in her satchel. She continued on and on finally seeing the castle. She just managed to get back to the castle with plenty of time to spare. She tried once again to sell some of her herbs, spices, and flower petals. She even tried selling her mushrooms. An elderly couple did buy a few of her ware’s out of pity for her. She managed to get four dollars, from them and so Kimberly bought a loaf of bread and kept a watch full eye on her money. As she sat down to eat she felt tired and alone. She desperately wished her parents would allow her to come back. After she had eaten her fill she put away the bread and looked for a place to sleep. She found a place in the abandoned building section of the town and slept restlessly for the night.

Evelyn smiled as they walked on chatting and being their normal selves with each other. She listened to her little friend talk on and on and picked up on something she said, "Oh you too eh? Thing's have been a bit slow with me lately, which is extremely odd since I'm so well know amongst the races. I was even called to traveled to a werewolf noble's home a few months ago. Just as I was thinking that business was doing a bit too good for my liking everything stopped. Like a calm before the storm. Unlike most people in my profession I don't thrive during war times I dread them even if it means a great sum of money," she said as the walked.
The area around them started to get less well lit as they made the transgression from the part of Longbourn that was active at night to where Evelyn resided. It was light by dim small enchanted lamps that looked like little cream colored orbs hanging from branches. They walked down of the suspended bridges to walk on the firm steady ground, or at least she did, Ninrian had taken a seat on her shoulder which Evelyn didn't mind at all.
"Oh? Is that so? That is a shame, you guys need to have some kind of defense mechanism, you can't out fly everything that would want to chase you," Evelyn said as she made it to her shop and walked in. she walked up to the second floor and light a light and walked to her bed room and started to lay the things she had bought out on her bed.
She listened to Ninrian talk about her and Kale and she looked over at her surprised and then laughed, "Oh come now Ninrian you know I just like to look at him, he's a sight for sore eyes. If I wanted to do anything in a dark room with him it would be trying to figure out a way to copy his genetic signature for and transverse it to a female signature and place it in myself," she explained while laughing and looking at the things. She sighed and added, "I'm still looking for that one man, Mr.Right,"
She looked at the birds wound after she unwrapped it and sigh, "Yeah this light guy was hunted," she said in a sad tone. She started to put some medicine she had bought from the store on the bird's wound and re-wrapped it with a proper bandage job this time. "Just think this little Silver Knight Bird is gonna grow so much, soon his beak will be bigger than you," she added cheerfully looking over at Ninrian. "I was thinking while he was with me I'd call him Night, since it's similar to the name of his species and if found him at night time, plus his feathers remind me of the moon. What do you think Ninrian?" she asked as she set up the little bed for the bird against the wall near the balcony door that way she'd be able to see the bird easily in the dark if it needed help during the night. She placed Night in the bed and it seemed to drift right off to sleep. She put the medicines and foods for it away in a dresser drawer and walked out to her balcony.
"Besides that I have no plans for tonight, why do you have something you want to do?" she asked as she looked down at the town below her. It was quiet and still the only movement from the occasional flickering light from the enchanted lamps and the fireflies dancing about. A cool breeze blew and made Evelyn's hair and dress dance slightly in it.

Kara
Forest of Longbourn
A look of unfathomable love glittered in Kara's eyes as Zane bent down to kiss her. She stood on her tiptoes and met him half way wrapping her small arms around his neck. Her heart fluttered pleasurably as his lips met hers. The kiss they shared was so full of love, passion, and tenderness that had anyone been around to see them that person may have been moved to tears by the depth of the love these two shared.
After a moment Kara broke away from Zane with a soft smile upon her face. She took his hand and led him to a grassy place where she sat down pulling him with her. She sat silently for a moment examining his hand which she still held before looking up at him.
"it's getting harder to get out of the city at night, Zane. i'm getting scared that I'll get caught soon. How are things going for you?" she tried to hide the fear in her eyes as she looked to him for her answer. It had been a long time since fear had presided in those beautiful midnight blue eyes and she wanted to keep it there. Zane had given her back her confidence and she didn't want to lose it over something like this.
Beth
Longbourn
Beth walked along the deserted path until the familiar flower garden before the little cottage of her family came into view. The flowers and pretty growing things made it almost impossible to see the low stone wall surrouding the house as they spilled out becomingly into the street. The sight of the familiar place made Beth's smile grow and she stepped over the wall and slipped into the house through the back door. What she found there was a very becoming sight.
sitting on a low couch made of gatherd sticks and heather stuffed into a cover made of flower petals sewed together were her four sisters working and talking happily together. Susan was sitting and putting the last touches on her white wedding gown sewn from the petals of roses. Abigail was leaning against the fireplace conversing lazily with Daisy who was helping Susan with her dress. And quiet Jenna was just removing a loaf of bread from the fire. All four of them turned when they heard Beth come in.
"Hello deary," Susan greeted kindly as Daisy stood to greet her sister. Beth set her basket on the table and hugged each girl in turn. After conveying her sucess in finding the flowers Beth declared she was ready for bed. After kissing and hugging her sisters one last time she retreated to her corner of the room where her bed was and slipped under the covers. The voices by the fire lowered to mere whispers allowing Beth to easily slip off to dream land where here dreams were fulll of bright colors, smiles, and laughter.
Liam
Netherfield
Liam stood at the bottom of the stairs leading to the dungeon preparing to go through the door that stood between him and having some fun with the prisoners when he suddenly felt that this was not the place for him at the moment. It was a strange feeling for him because torturing the prisoners was one of the things tha Liam most enjoyed. He shook his head and glared angrily at his feet.
It was so odd for him to not want to be here. With another glare directed at the dungeon door Liam turned and stomped back up the steps full of rage. It was Jasmine, he'd been thinking of her so much lately. She just wouldn't get out of his head.
He reached the top of the staircase and felt such a spout of rage for this feeling that he looked around for something he could break to relieve his anger before he shifted. The two things he saw were a servent and an old glass vase. He moved toward the vase, picked it up and threw it against the wall making the servent shriek. Liam didn't even stop he just continued walking leaving the shattered vase all over the floor knowing it would be cleanaed up in the morning.
He headed for his chambers where he walked in not bothering to light a candle, changed, and climbed into bed. He fell asleep quickly glad to escape the thought of Jasmine only to find his dreams were filled with her face and voice. There was no escape for him.

Zane
Forest of Longbourn
Zane felt his arms wrap tenderly around Kara, one hand lightly resting on her hip, as she pushed herself up to kiss him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She was a delicate flower and he intended to treat her that way--gentle yet full of passion. As her head was slightly tilted, he couldn't help but smile a little as her soft hair tickled his hands. It was the silly things, the unintentional things, that made him love her even more. The way she let her emotions show in her eyes, her smile, the soft blush in her cheeks, the warmth in her lips and in her hands, her baby soft touch. . .
He could go on, but he was slightly interrupted when Kara pulled back with a smile on her face. She grabbed his hand and led him to a grassy area, sitting down and pulling him with her. She kept his hand, and he sat at an angle to see her, yet close to her.
"It's getting harder to get out of the city at night, Zane. I'm getting scared that I'll get caught soon. How are things going for you?" Kara was hiding something, he could tell. He looked in her eyes, now that she was looking at him, and he studied them for a moment before saying anything. She knew that he could read her well and how, and she was trying to hide it from him. . . but why?
Zane pulled his eyebrows together slightly, confused about her actions. He took a deep breath and let his expression lighten before responding. "Lia Kim thinks I'm going to parties; I don't know how long she'll accept that, but it's working so far. No one seems to be missing me. Why are you having trouble?" he asked, concerned. If she was having trouble getting out of Thorton Lacey, their meetings would be few and short. He didn't want that, not at all.
Zane's eyes flashed to their hands for a moment. He liked the sight and the feeling of that simple gesture. He looked back up with a small grin and rubbed her hand with his thumb, his eyes conveying to her how much he loved her.
The Ancients

Blitz
Blitz was infuriated! How dare he brother order him to do something like that. He was just as much his equal, especially since he was a King of Everingham.
To calm himself, Blitz sent Joshua to bed and headed to the balcony off of the second floor main hallway. He stood there quietly at the railing for several moments before stepping onto the railing. He turned back towards the palace. A second later, Blitz was on the arch of the doorway, pulling himself up onto the decorated stone. He continued to scale the Palace until he was at the very top, overlooking the sleeping Netherfield.
He sat down on a flat section, thinking on various things. None seemed to be outstandingly important to him because he was lying on his back, looking at the stars, drifting to sleep in moments.
((The next character, Nathan, is for Beth. I will post up the bio shortly.))
Nathan
Longbourn
Nathan paced his darkened room restlessly. The rest of Longbourn was asleep, minus the few guards, Nomad Faeries , and Evelyn. Evelyn was usually up gathering herbs or experimenting. Rarely did she sleep long. Nathan shook his head, clearing his mind again.
"Tonight or some other day? It's late. Her sisters and herself would be sleeping. Oh, who am I kidding she won't say yes anyway."
"What are you babbling about?" It was his father, Token. Nathan halted and swallowed. His father didn't look too keenly on pointless blabber. Tonight, though, he looked genuinely curious as to what was keeping his son up so late.
"I was just thinking."
"Don't hurt yourself," his father joked. Nathan smiled and chuckled a little bit. He turned nervously and rummaged through a box under his bed. "What's that?"
"Oh, um," Nathan stammered, turning to face his father respectfully. A smaller boz was in his hand now. "Well, Dad, I was. . . I was going to see if. . . if--"
"If Beth would marry you?" his father finished for him with a smile. Nathan swallowed and nodded cautiously. "Well, what are doing here? Go ask her!"
"Wait, you're saying I can go? But it's late. . ."
"Son, I like her. I'm excited about this too. Go. I'm going to bed anyway." Nathan smiled and nodded, heading for his window. "Oh, don't wake your mother," his father reminded.
Excited, Nathan started tree jumping to Beth's house. He knew where she lived and which side of the house her bed was on. He had the whole thing planned out and hopefully he could complete it without waking anyone but her. As a Forest Elf Land-Mapper--one who maps out previously undiscovered or changed land--he was very familiar with the trees and was able to move swiftly, avoiding the branches in the moonlight. He was also able to keep light on his feet, making it so that not a leaf would crunch under his weight on the ground.
Beth. Beth Collins was beautiful, delicate in her heart and mind, and more wonderful than anyone. She understood him and was very eager to make new friends. In his case, that'd been to his advantage because he was the opposite. Nathan had introduced himself with an outgoing nature, but he was guarded and hid his emotions more than anyone knew. Beth had broken him though. A few weeks with her and he'd opened right up. It was a month after they'd met that Nathan realized he liked her and that they'd hung out for 99% of that month. He decided then that he would ask her out. So he had and here he was, about a year later, ready to propose and marry her. There was nothing that compared to how he felt about her.
After several minutes, Nathan sat in a tree across from Beth's side of the house. He remembered that she and her sisters slept in the same room before jumping down to the ground. He ran up to her house in silene, pushing off the wall and grabbing a ledge of a window. He pulled himself up easily and gently tapped on the window, trying not to wake Beth's sisters.
"Beth," he called in a whisper.

Sarah
Forest of Longbourn
The night is peaceful and the air still, only the buzzing of the insects breaks the silence of the forrest tonight. Sarah looks around her, her sharp eyes taking in every tiny detail of the trees below her - the green foilage of the tree tops, the bright colorful berries and flowers sprouting up randomly in places, and the dim lights of the tree homes below the leaves. Her silver wings glimmer in the moonlight as her shadow chases her silently below, gradually growing bigger as she slows and lowers herself down into the tangled branches of the interloping trees.
Sarah gracefully tucks her wings into her back and looks around once more. Evelyn's store and house are in her view not too far away. Sarah rests for a moment, scanning to make sure no hunters have decided to stay out late tonight and stalk the tree tops. Once she is sure that there is no threat, she spreads her beautiful wings out wide and drops off the branch, catching a lazy updraft easily and gliding the one-hundred or so yards to Evelyn's home without so much as fluttering her tail.
She drops lightly onto the railing of Evelyn's balcony and peers into on of the windows. 'Evelyn's not home,' she thinks. 'I shall just wait for her here then.' And with that she jumps down off the railing to the floor of the balcony and into a shadow at the side. She closes her eyes and concentrates, slowly shifting back into her human form. Her anklet jingles cheerfully as she stands tall and proud on Evelyn's balcony, ignoring the painful after effects of shifting. She sits and leans against the railing, letting the fabric of her one shouldered dress rest and conform to her slim body as she waits for Evelyn to return home.
Jasmine
Outside the Walls of Netherfield
Liam... How I miss you so,' Jasmine thinks sadly as she walks. Today was a bad day for her. Thoughts of him intruded on her mind all day, making it quite hard to conentrate on her sewing. She was only able to make two dresses today instead of her usual four or five, her mind was so destracted. Yet every thoought had been a good thought. For that was Jasmine. She only thought good thoughts about people. Or sad ones, but not normally. Those few sad thoughts were normally ever only about Liam or her parents. Her parents. Try as hard as she might, Jasmine never could fully convince herself that it was not her parents' fault that she and Liam had to end - even though it so obviously was. Perhaps that was the reason as to why she couldn't convince herself, because try as hard as she could to deny it, Jasmine's parents were at fault for their daughter's slight unhappiness. Not that Jasmine could ever be truly unhappy, it just wasn't in her to be unhappy.
She bends down and picks a flower, bringing the small petals to her nose to smell. Something catches her eye. She turns and looks, only realizing that what she saw was only a flag barely fluttering in an almost non-existent breeze. Her eyes then automatically turn towards the palace and then to where Liam's room is. That was something she could never forget. Where Liam's room was. She could still find her way to it blindfolded if she needed to. Not that she would ever need to again. Jasmine lets her eyes linger on the window for a bit longer, as if willing Liam to come to the window and look out. She turns away and picks another flower from the ground. She ties the two flowers' stems together then walks back towards the entrance to the city, thinking she should get back before someone questioned what she was doing out so late. What would she tell them? That she was daydreaming -again- and thinking about the youngest of the four Ancients? No she couldn't do that, they'd think she was crazy.
So instead she just walks, silent as the night, her blue dress not even making the usual swishing sounds it likes to make whenever she walks. Jasmine pauses halfway across the bridge and looks down into the moat surrounding the city. She remembers what it was like being with Liam, how happy the two of them had been, then that fateful day when her mother said she was to be married to another man and she was forced to end it with Liam. The hurt in his eyes was something she would never forget, no matter how long she lived. The cold, hateful edge to his voice when he dismissed her from his room, turning his back on her she could still hear as plain as day in her dreams, intermingled with the laughter, hopes, dreams and smiles shared between them.
Jasmine gasps. 'No wonder I couldn't get him off my mind today. Today's the day I ended it with him...' she thinks sadly, tears springing to her eyes. She quickly wipes them away and throws the two flowers into the moat below. She watches as the water pulls the flowers apart and washes them away under the brige in two different directions. She turns and continues on into the town, suddenly exhausted and just wanting nothing more than her warm bed and a good night's sleep.
As she enters the city, the flowers she threw in the water are swirled around and around on opposite sides until they finally come back together a few minutes later in the calmer waters farther down the moat.

Kara
Forest of Longbourn
A smile appeared on Kara's face despite the seriousness of their conversation. She couldn't help smiling when Zane looked at her like that. it made her want to be with him always; to just always be able to look at him and share this love they had. Being here with him after a week away made her heart feel light and happy.
"I wish I could meet Lia Kim. From the way you walk of her I know she must be lovely," Kara replied avoiding his end question. As she spoke she had the sudden urge to be closer to him. Kara let go of his hand and scooted closer to him wrapping her arms around his waist and laying her head on his shoulder. She sighed with contentment and closed her eyes. She was a little tired, but she couldn't sleep now. She had so very little time with Zane. It was so precious to her and she would not waist it sleeping.
"My neighbors have been asking me questions about where I go at night. I told them it was none of their business, but I think they are getting suspicious. Where I live there isn't a lot of activity at night. I think I'm going to have to move," Kara finally confessed once she was comfortable cuddled close to Zane. "I can't have them finding out."
Beth
Longbourn
Beth was dreaming happliy about a garden growing beautifully and her sister's futuer wedding and many other agreeable things. These pleasant dreams were progressing nicely when they were suddenly interupted by a strange tapping noise. She tried to ignorei it and groaned softly, but it refused to go away.
"Beth," something whispered and her dreams vanished. She opened her eyes sleepily and yawned her pretty pink lips stretching into a perfect O. Rubbing her eyes Beth sat up in bed and looked around searching for the source of the noise that woke her. When she turned to the window her heart skipped a beat and her eyes glittered. There sat Nathan the man whom held her heart. She motioned for him to wait and she slipped out of bed silently being sure not to wake any of her sister. Once she reached the door of the cottage she slipped a lavender shawl over her shoulders and tip toed out of the house. She stood in the garden hidden from view of the street under a small tree covered in white flowers and waited for Nathan to meet her with a gentle look of love and happiness upon her pretty face.
Liam
Netherfield
Liam bolted up in bed his eyes wide with realization and ran a hand nervously through his rather shaggy hair. Everything suddenly made sense. Feeling slightly ruffled he got out of bed and stretched the moonlight catching on his taught muscles rippling under his tan skin. Today had been the day all those years ago that he and Jasmine had broke it off. The day she had come to his room to tell him they could no longer be together for she was marrying another man.
As he made his way over to the window Liam relived the pain and heartbreak he had experienced from that fateful day. He never let it show and never admitted it to himself, but he missed her so much. She had been everything to him and he would have done anything for her, but she was gone now.
He stepped out of his room onto his balcony and leaned against the railing gazing out at the sleeping city absently. His thoughts were focused on her; remembering her, her hands, her soft skin, her sweet smiles, everything about her. They had shared such love. Then her parents had broke them apart, but instead of feeling anger towards them he felt merely sadness. He'd spent enought time being angry with them he had none left only sadness and regret.
His thoughts then wandered to her situation. Was she happy? Did the man she married treat her well? Did she have children? A nice home? These questionis were interrupted when he noticed in the distance a girl wearing a blue dress...could it be?
No. He told himself firmly. It was his imaginiation. He shook his head and turned away from the balcony preparing to go back into his room, but before he did he glanced one more time over his shoulder. The girl was gone. He'd just been seeing things. he heaved a sigh then moved back to his bed and climbed once more under the covers. He knew when sleep came she would be there dancing through his dreams and this time he didn't mind. He wanted to hear her laugh and see her smile. If only he could feel her touch...

Zane
Forest of Longbourn
A small smile pulled at Kara's lips and Zane loved it. It always brought him such joy. . . and those blasted butterfiles came full throttle. It'd been a week sine he'd last seen her and that was simply too long. He didn't know what he'd do if she was unable to see him even that often. There was nothing he could do to help her either. His smell was so distinct that the guards around Thorton Lacey would certainly smell him.
"I wish I could meet Lia Kim. From the way you talk of her I know she must be lovely," Kara said, bringing his full attention back to her. She was intentionally avoiding his question and he knew it. She would come back to it, though, he knew. Zane still couldn't help but wonder why she was to tentative about this matter.
Kara let go of his hand and scooted closer to him in silence. Zane opened his arms and she slid hers around his waist, laying her shoulder on his head. His arms came back around her gently and his stomach was in knots. He loved holding her. It made him feel so much in control of her safety, and it made him feel loved that she would initiate the gesture.
"My neighbors have been asking me questions about where I go at night. I told them it was none of their business, but I think they are getting suspicious. Where I live there isn't a lot of activity at night. I think I'm going to have to move. . . I can't have them finding out." She was right, she couldn't and neither could he. Inevitably the Ancients would have their heads after hearing about it. He couldn't afford to let that happen. He could deal with dying, but not with Kara dying because of him.
Still, the fact that she felt compelled to move because of him was no better. He couldn't make her do that, not for him. But how could they continue seeing each other if her neighbors were getting suspicious, and if his sister was about to start following him based on her attitude. Zane didn't know how to fix it, but he would make sure it didn't involve her having to move because of him.
With a sigh, Zane laid his head on hers. "She can be lovely when she wants to be," Zane joked about Lia Kim. "I don't want you moving because of me," he stated. "I'm not worth losing your home, Kara. I know the risk is high now, but I don't want you to move just because of me, okay?" Zane's voice was soft and betrayed his sadness slightly, but he was, in a way, making sure she knew he was serious about not moving because of him.
Nathan
Longbourn
Nathan smiled charmingly when Beth awoke and saw him outside her window. She was beautiful when she slept; he hated he'd had to wake her up. Now that she was up, though, she was even more beautiful. His smile still plastered on his face while he watched her, Beth told him to wait, so he jumped from the window sill and stood on the ground. She would be coming to the garden, he knew, so he jumped into a nearby tree to wait and not be seen.
A moment later, after Beth had sneaked out of the house without waking her sisters, she walked through the garden to a small tree with white flowers. Nathan stayed in the tree for a moment, looking at her gorgeous face that was full of love and happiness. She had a lavender shawl over her shoulders now. Purple and any shade of purple was her favority color. He smiled and felt the small box in his pocket absently.
With a deep breath he jumped down from the tree and walked over to her. He said nothing, but walked right up and pulled her into his arms for a kiss. It was long, passionate kiss, and he was certain she would feel the smile he was sporting. He pulled back after several moments and just looked her. He grinned and nervously sank to one knee before her, pulling out the small box as he did. He knew he was being direct, but he couldn't wait another second. He could only hope that she would say yes.
"Beth Collins, I love you more than you could ever fathom. You've made my life complete and have brought such joy to my soul. I wouldn't want any other woman to share my life with but you. . . Beth Collins, will you marry me?" he asked, showing her the ring he had gotten her. It was sterling silver with a beautiful purple flower, four petal, in the center, wrapped under the diamond lined wisps of the ring. ((See Nathan's bio for a picture.))

"She can be lovely when she wants to be," Zane joked about Lia Kim. "I don't want you moving because of me," he stated. "I'm not worth losing your home, Kara. I know the risk is high now, but I don't want you to move just because of me, okay?" Kara didn't like the sound of Zane's voice as he said this to her. She closed her eyes thinking about his words. He didn't want her losing her home on his account, but he was so much more important than her home. She'd live in the middle of nowhere under a dead tree if it meant she could be with him. She sighed allowing him to know her distress.
"Zane, I live alone between to grouchy old couples with a single depressed man across the street. I promise there is nothing in that neighborhood I will miss if I move. There are plenty of small little houses all around Thorton Lacey I can move into and I bet the neighbors will be much more pleasurable. Plus, I need the change in scenery. Don't worry, love, please? I promise I'll be fine," she informed him as she felt her eyelids droop from tiredness. "I'd do anything to stay with you Zane, anything." When she said this her tone was firm and serious.
He was her whole world. If she lost him she lost her sun, the thing that kept her going.
"I love you," this statement was the quietest speech she had spoken so far, but it had the most emotion. Such love and devotion were entwined with those words. When she said them she truly meant them.
Beth
Longbourn
Beth smiled softly when she saw Nathan coming towards her. As soon as he was near enough her pulled her into his arms and she let him. Their lips met in a tender, yet passionate kiss. They'd done this many times, but Beth still felt a blush appear on her cheeks and butterflies become present in her stomach every time. When Nathan finally let her go she was smiling sweetly and she saw he was too.
"Hello Nathan," she murmured, but before she could say anymore he sunk down on one knee pulling a small box from his pocket. She gasped, her large eyes grew larger, and her heart pounded against her rib cage in utter excitement. She couldn't believe what was about to happen.
"Beth Collins, I love you more than you could ever fathom. You've made my life complete and have brought such joy to my soul. I wouldn't want any other woman to share my life with but you. . . Beth Collins, will you marry me?" For a moment Beth was silent for the rapture she was feeling was paralyzing and all she could do was smile and look at Nathan with love filled eyes.
"I-I don't know what to say," she began softly, "I mean,, I do know, I do...I will!" She cried and fell to her knees throwing her small arms around Nathan's kneck. Tears of happiness were rolling down her cheeks as she pressed her soft lips against his once more wearing the biggest smile she ever had.

Zane
Forest of Longbourn
Zane heard Kara sigh, knowing how much stress this was on her just from the sound of it. He wished he could take it away, make it his own. He could easily handle housing problems if it were him, but he also had the disadvantage of a sister. He could take care of that too, if he needed.
"Zane, I live alone between two grouchy old couples with a single, depressed man across the street. I promise there is nothing in that neighborhood I will miss if I move. There are plenty of small little houses all around Thorton Lacey I can move into and I bet the neighbors will be much more pleasurable. Plus, I need the change in scenery. Don't worry, love, please? I promise I'll be fine," she informed him, and he caught the hint of tiredness in her voice. "I'd do anything to stay with you Zane, anything." That was what he was afraid of.
Their love was already forbidden, yet they didn't care. If they were in danger of being caught, Zane would try to fix it, but he didn't expect it wouldn't be his to fix. Kara loved him, he knew, but he couldn't have her putting her head on the line for him. It just couldn't be. He would do the same for her, but it killed him to think of her doing it for him. This, in a way, made him a hypocrite, but he had that right. As the male in this relationship, he was allowed to be protective of her.
Sadly, he realized this was a lost arguement. Kara was very strong willed and would end up doing what suited her, regardless of his desire to keep her safe. He would have to be careful on how much he hung back on this decision though.
Zane stopped short in his thoughts when he heard her murmer, "I love you." He could hear the meaning behind them and it never ceased to make his heart drop to his stomach. To have someone like her love him was not ony a defiance, but an honor.
"I love you too, Kara," he whispered. He turned her head up towards his, looking into her midnight blue eyes. "More than moon or sun or stars." He bent his head down and kissed her softly, his hand coming up around her neck gently. As he closed his eyes, he could feel the butterflies coursing through him. It felt so right to be with her, yet it was so wrong. The chance they could get caught was high, but right now, none of that mattered.
After a moment or two, he pulled back, but left his face close to hers. "I think you ought to go to bed now. I can hear your yawns," he teased. He smiled and gently kissed her again. They still would need to straighten out what they were going to do, but they could figure it out via notes or at their next meeting. . . which, unfortunately, might be awhile.
Nathan
Longbourn
Nathan watched all the emotions that fluttered across Beth's face. To be honest, he was a bit nervous with the butterflies threatening to take hold, but Beth was so much more emotional. It was one of the things that he loved about her. It made him smile, knowing he could read all she was thinking just by watching her eyes and her face for emotion.
He stayed silent, swallowing his fears of rejection, while she hesitated. It wasn't that she didn't love him, he knew, but he guessed he had been a little direct about it. She seemed rightfully shocked, and something this big deserved a quick thought.
Beth was smiling, looking down at him with loved filled eyes. He knew she'd say yes, he could feel it. He grinned back at her, remembering how much he loved her. She was such a good person. Her heart led her in the right direction. Beth was caring, loving, gentle, understanding, barely ever angry or upset, and so very passionate. He, on the other hand, was guarded, easy to anger, but not with her, calloused. He liked to think of their relationship as perfectly equal, in that each one had what the other did not. He knew he was gentle and sweet and loving, but never before had he shown it to anyone but Beth. Her sisters knew him, had met him even, but he'd been withdrawn and quiet, only showing his affection to Beth. Holding hands, staying near her, those were things he was unafraid to show the public, but talk to them. . . that was different.
"I-I don't know what to say," she began softly, "I mean, I do know, I do...I will!" she cried. Nathan smiled widely, catching her as she threw herself to the ground and into his arms. Her small, soft arms curled around his neck, tears falling down her face. She pulled back slightly and kissed him with a huge smile on her face. Nathan smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist, letting one hand rest on her hip while the other was curles around the ring box on the small of her back, pulling her to him.
He couldn't help but chuckle, loving her reaction. He pulled back, and smiled at her, wiping a tear from her from cheek. He brought the ring box forward and removed the ring. "Do you like it?" He asked. He'd gotten her the flower in purple, sure that she would like it. But, as far as engagement rings went, he wasn't sure she'd find it appropriate. He hoped she did, but if not, he'd buy her a new one. . . somehow.

Kara
Forest of Longbourn
Kara opened her mouth to protest Zane's telling her she needed to go to sleep, but instead of words escaping her mouth a yawn did. When it was over she giggled and looked up at Zane.
"I suppose you're probably right; I do need to go to bed," she gave in sweetly. Lay with me." She untangled herself from his arms and stretched out in the grass listening to the pleasing sound of the grass rustling around her. A pleasant smile appeared on her pretty face as she turned to look at Zane. "I'm glad I got to see you tonight. Good night Zane." She blew him a kiss then curled up and let her eyelids flutter closed.
She surprised herself at how tired she really was. The trip from Thorton Lacey to the place she was at now was tiring especially considering all the shifting she had to do. Within minutes her breathing slowed and evened out and she was lost in her dreams; happy dreams where her love wasn't forbidden.
Beth
Longbourn
"oh Nathan!" Beth gasped as she looked at the ring, really looked at it, for the first time. "It's gorgeous! I love it so much! It's my favorite color!" She allowed him to slip it onto her finger then continued to stare at it with glittering eyes. "I can't wait to show it to my sisters!" At the thought of her sister's Beth's attention was pulled from the ring to what time it actually was.
"It's getting late," she murmured to him still wearing her wide grin, "I need to go to bed, but meet me here in the morning because you're going to have to tell my father that we are engaged. I love you!" she leaned forward and gave him another quick kiss before turning and running back through the garden and slipping silently into her house not disturbing a single one of her sisters.
For a few minutes she sat just staring at her ring admiring how the moonlight danced across it's smooth purple surface, but she soon began to yawn and knew she must go to sleep. With a pleasant smile upon her pale face she closed her eyes and let the warm blanket of sleep engulf her until she was lost in its deep dreamy folds.

Zane chuckled as Kara tried to protest him, but instead yawned. It was a cute yawn and the irony was hilarious to both of them. Kara giggled and agreed, which made Zane smile at her.
"Lay with me," she said, starting to untangle herself and lie down. Zane froze and thought about the consequences. If they were caught, this would not be good at all. Zane would protect them, but he didn't know what they'd do if they happened to get ahold of Kara or himself. With a breath and a grin, he agreed.
Zane laid down on his side beside her, watching her get comfortable on the grass. He quickly surveyed the trees for any strange creatures. Finding none, he relaxed and examined how well hidden they were. Fairly satisfied with their position, he brought his head back to look at her. She looked over at him and smiled, blowing him a kiss. "I'm glad I got to see you tonight. Goodnight, Zane."
Kara closed her eyes and curled up on the ground. Zane scooted closer and put his arm on her waist as she quickly fell asleep. He was keeping her close for several reasons: comfort, security, and love. He wanted the right to marry her, but unfortunately, that could not be. He would find some way to make their relationship work, though. If he had to bring their relationship to the grave, so be it, but he would find a way.
Nathan
Longbourn
Nathan smiled and chuckled at Beth's excitement, very pleased that she liked the ring. He felt like brushing off his shoulders and patting himself on the back with a hearty, "Good job, Nathan!" He'd found and picked out the ring on his own, so he was very proud of himself. Especially happy that she loved it and thought it gorgeous, Nathan slid it on her finger gently. It was a perfect fit. Yet again, he was proud of himself.
In a world where all hope was lost for the men, one man stood above the rest, and they called him Nathan Wick! Nathan thought to himself, hearing a deep, manly voice narrate it for him.
He chuckled again, but let it fade to a smile when Beth mentioned how late it was. She didn't seem at all bothered by his timing, and he couldn't really say he was sorry or regreted it. He'd just gotten engaged and his mood was not going to be brought down by anything.
Nathan kept his smile and let Beth's quick kiss linger slightly, holding her to him for just a second longer. His smile never left his face and even when she shut the door, he was still on one knee, smiling like nothing else. Beth had told him he'd have to tell her father, but that didn't phase him like it would have normally. The fact that she ended her statement with "I love you," had heightened his mood ever more. He didn't have a chance to return the words, but he was sure she knew. He'd proposed to her after all.
With a final look at her window, he pushed himself up and brushed the dirt from his jeans. He gently took a flower from the tree and jumped onto her window sil. She was already asleep, resting like a beautiful angel, a rose pink blush on her baby soft cheeks, which glittered with the dried tears of joy she'd shed.
For moments on end he just watched her, but finally, the sound of an owl calling out in the night, brought him back from the verge of sleep. His day dream had almost turned into sleep. . . he chuckled at the realization. Nathan brought the flower to his lips for a gentle kiss and left it on her window sill. The kiss was something he'd done to make up for not giving her a proper goodnight kiss, and it made him feel better.
"Goodnight, my sweet Beth," he whispered. With that, he jumped from the window to the tree and began the route home. When he arrived, he climbed through his third story window and fell asleep thinking of his love and how he would get to share the wonderful news in the morning.
OOC Notes
Evelyn couldn't help but chuckle when she saw Sarah jump. She listened to Sarah talk and smiled, "Oh do I? I guess it's a habit I've picked up from business," she said Sarah continued on about her parents and Evelyn sighed, "I don't see why you stay with them if you hate it so much. I'd rather be out on my own in the wild then in a prison unhappy," she said after Sarah paused.
She smiled again as Sarah went on about the night's beauty and romance. "Yes it would be nice, and I can picture it clearly," she said as she started to sort of day dream off as well for a moment. Then she smiled and started to walk up the stairs on the side of her balcony to the third floor. "So do you want the usual amount or should I give you less so you have an excuse to sneak out and visit me again sooner?" she asked as she motioned for Sarah to follow her. "Oh and Ninrian make sure you drink ALL of that medicine this time!" she called out as they walked up them.
She opened the door and walked into the lab room, the enchanted lamps came on instantly and illuminated the room. She walked over to a nearby shelf and mumble "Sleep Root, Sleep Root, who's got the Sleep Root?" as she looked on the shelves, "Aha!" she smiled as she found it and grabbed a few more roots and some glasses containing liquids. She pulled out a small medicine well from under one of the tables and a cauldron, then placed the cauldron on a little burner with the liquids in it and a small amount of water and turned it on. She walked back over to her medicine wheel and started to crush some of the roots into a powder while the water liquids heated up in the small cauldron.
She stopped for a moment as Sarah teased her about Kale and she looked up at her and laughed, "In the words of my aunt," she paused and changed to a snobbish posture, "Pish posh the only thing a man is good for is to do the work we women don't want to there's no need for loooove!" she giggled and started pushing the wheel over the roots more grinding them up. "Besides we all know Kale is engaged to that noble girl Sylvania or whatever her name is. On top of that I don't love him I just like to look at him." she said laughing at her own comment. She looked over at Ninrian and grabbed her gently by one of her feet holding her upside down and smiled, "And if you keep trying to speak for me I may use some of my special sleep powder on your and put a dampener on your magic," she added jokingly and let the little fairy go. Then she finished grinding up the roots the carrying the powder over to the heated liquid and mixing it in. Sarah went on to beg her to spy on Kale and she looked at her after the liquid had thickened some, "Absolutely not," she said as she moved the cauldron off the burner and turned the burner off. She started to pour the thick liquid into a pan and then left it to cool. She walked over to the window she had opened earlier and looks up at the moon.
Just then a messenger bird landed on her window seal, she grabbed the letter tied to its ankle and read it. She looked up at Sarah and smiled smugly, "Welllllll, I just got a request to make a house call to a werewolvian noble family in Netherfield. you could alwayyyys, I dunno, send a message to your parents that you have taken it upon yourself to strengthen your family ties with some of the werewolvian people to further raise your family's image. I'm sure they'd have not a single objection." she explained as she walked over to the pills that had hardened. She popped them out into a small bag the size of her palm and tied it closed and tossed it to Sarah. "What'dya say? Wanna go on a little road trip?" she asked.
The next morning. . .
Zane
Forest of Longbourn
A soft breeze was blowing overhead in the dawning hours the morning. The birds were chirpping happily; the bugs no longer making their unique buzzing sounds. The sun was just over the horizon, the trees of the forest making the light splotchy, a few rays poking through near the ground.
Zane's ears picked up on the change in sound and slowly his eyes began to register the change in light. Every muscle in his body began waking up quite quickly, yet very slowly to him. He squinted his eyes, not wanting to wake up quite yet. When he felt his arm around Kara, though, he immediately woke up.
His eyes popped open and he saw her lying there next to him, now facing away from him but closer. Her soft, slow breathing told him that she was still asleep. For a moment the panic set in. What if they were caught? Were they already? Was someone watching? Zane moved his head all around, trying not to wake up Kara just yet.
When he was certain they were safe, he relaxed and looked back in front of him. He was slightly on his side, his head resting gently on the lush grass beneath him, his arm tucked around Kara's stomach. She was lying there next to him, pulled close to him, her body in the same position as his. Her arms, however, were tucked close to herself. She was still fast asleep and Zane did not want to disturb her.
Although he could not see her face, Zane knew exactly how beautiful and peaceful she looked. He didn't mind that he couldn't see her face right now. He was quite content with how they were at the moment. It felt right to him. He was comfortable this way.
Zane then realized the grim reality. They couldn't stay here. They had to part ways before they were caught. It was easier to get away with it at night, but during the day, spotting them would be easy. Their eye color would be a sure fire way to tell that they were two separate factions--a forbidden friendship, a forbidden love.
I don't want to wake her up, but I don't want us to get caught. At least if we're awake we can separate. Ah, but this is so right. I don't want it to end. What if we are safe? We're far enough back in the forest; I'm sure we'd be okay for another hour or two. I really don't want to wake her up or leave her. . . Well, Zane, it's either wake her up and be able to say goodbye, or leave her and hurt her feelings. Zane ran everything through his head, but upon the choices he found, he sighed and gave in with a frown.
With a deep breath, he pushed himself up on his elbow to look at Kara. She was so at ease, so beautiful. He didn't want to wake her up, but he had to. Without removing his arm from around her, he leaned down and kissed her cheek. If he had to wake her up, he could be nice about it.
"Kara," he said softly. He gently moved his arm from around her and brought it up to her face. He pushed some hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek again. "Kara, wake up, love."
Nathan
Longbourn
Nathan woke up, lying on his stomach on his bed. He was still in his clothes from last night, his hair now a mess. He'd once taken a nap at Beth's house and when he'd woken up all the women had giggled. He'd smiled but didn't do anything about it because Beth came over and fixed it for him, telling him how adorable it was. He could only imagine how it looked now.
With a yawn and a much needed stretch, Nathan pushed himself from the bed, and opened the window. He grabbed fresh clothes after getting a nice breath of fresh, morning air, and went to bathe. He still wasn't quite awake.
Once he was clean, his hair no longer a mess, he went down the stairs to the kitchen, where breakfast was clearly made. He could smell it on the second floor. He grabbed a piece of toast and kissed his mother on the cheek. His father was sitting at the table and grinned knowingly.
"You seem chipper this morning. What for?" his mother asked, curious and a little wary.
"Can't I be chipper in the morning, mother?" he teased.
"Yes, but you're not a morning person, so this is unusual. Tell me, what'd you do that made you so happy?" His mother continued making bacon and his father chuckled. Nathan shot him a look, but his father kept on laughing.
"Does it have to be something I did?"
"Yes, it almost always is," his mother said casually, still awaiting his answer.
"Fine. I proposed to Beth last night." Nathan's mother stopped frying the bacon to turn to look at him. She was shocked and Nathan didn't know what to expect.
"And what'd she say?"
"She said yes," he smiled. Nathan's mom was still very shocked, so his father remained silent, studying her and Nathan.
Suddenly, she screamed. She threw her towel in the air and ran and hugged Nathan so hard that he thought she was going to break his ribs. He laughed and hugged her back. He'd never seen his mother so excited. He was expecting a 'congratulations' or 'that's great, honey,' but not this.
"Oh, honey, congratulations! That's great!" she said, smiling at him after stepping away. Nathan laughed at the irony of it, and noticed his father had joined them.
"Well done, son," he said with a pat on the back. His father was genuinely happy for him and Nathan could see it in his eyes.
"Thanks," Nathan told them both. He picked up the toast from the table where he'd dropped it, and took a bite. "I'm going to go to Beth's. I have to talk to her family this morning," he said.
"Wait, wait! I want to know what kind of ring you got her," he mother said excitedly, her hands clasped together.
"Oh, I didn't get her one. . ." He smiled when his mother seemed to get angry and quickly corrected himself. "I'm kidding. I'll bring her by later today and let her show you herself." Before he could get scolded he went out the door and started towards Beth's house, this time walking the length of it.
Lia Kim
Pemberly
Lia Kim was pacing in her small house again. She'd woken up long before dawn and was furious. Zane had not come home. The rest of the city was just waking up, but she was tempted to gather a search party.
I can't believe he didn't come home! What is his problem? Doesn't he respect me at all?
Lia Kim stepped onto her small balcony and decided to head on a walk. If Zane wasn't home by noon, she was taking a search party out. And if she couldn't find him, she'd send out the Royal Calvary after convincing the King to let her. Zane would not get away with another one of his stunts again.
The Ancients
Netherfield
As dawn broke, Blitz woke up, fully aware that he was on the roof. He was careful, after years of self teaching, not to make sudden movements until he gathered his position on any one structure. He seemed safe right now, so he sat up and moved to the edge where his feet could hang off. He looked out over his city, seeing but a few roaming around, setting up the markets.
He was no longer angry with his brothers, choosing to simply let it go. It hadn't been too bad of a night other than that, and so if Christos would refrain from pissing him off this morning, all would be well. With that thought, he began his descent down to his chambers. He bathed and then set to patrolling the palace, careful not to waken anyone up.
Christos, Joshua, and Benjamin are already awake, in the Armory. NEXT POST

Sarah
Thorton Lacey
Sarah blinks, her currently teal blue eyes slowly coming to life. They start to sparkle as she sits up and looks around her room. It was a very nice room. Her king sized canopy bed is against the far wall and covered in light pink and silver silk sheets and matching pillows with sheer, shimmery pink material hanging all around the bed, giving her a sense of secludedness in her large room. Doors leading to a personal balcony are right next to it, then the wall is covered in floor to ceiling book cases until it gets to the door leading in and out of her room from the hall. At the end of her bed is a large mahogany chest with intricately carved details of birds covering the face. It is filled with antique dolls and tea sets from Sarah's childhood. On the other side of the door is a matching vanity with silver gilded framework around the mirror and a large armoire is next to it. There is a hand-painted screen perpendicular to the armoire close to the wall that Sarah changes behind and a quaint sitting area towards the center of the room, consisting of two armchairs and a love-seat the same colors as the sheets on her bed. Directly across form the love-seat is a fireplace with a mantle of marble. A silver gilded mirror hangs above the mantle and several paintings are proudly displayed on it.
The door bursts open and Seth calls out loudly, "Rise and shine princess! Time to explain to mom and dad why all the guards they hired all fell asleep last night, on the job, at roughly the same time. I could probably explain, but I think you'd much rather tell mom and dad that you snuck out last night -again- instead of me." He plops down on the end of Sarah's bed and grins at her, his midnight blue eyes sparkling the same way hers do. Sarah grabs the pillow next to her and throws it at Seth, hitting him square in the face.
"I'm a duchess, not a princess, and you're a duke. Get it straight already Seth!" Sarah says laughing. She stretches lazily and turns in the bed. She grins at Seth and gets up, brushing the canopy aside. "What would make the best impression with mother and father today? Short dress or long dress? I see you're all fancied up. We're not having to make an appearance in court today are we?" Seth just chuckles and puts her pillow down on the bed then gets up and strolls over to her.
"Long dress sis. And no we're not going to court, mom and dad just have a few house guests over." He leans towards Sarah and whispers mischivieviously to her, "I think they're planning a trip to Netherfield." Sarah's eyes grow huge at that and her mouth opens some in a gasp.
"Netherfield? But why? Is there something going on? I thought we're not supposed to travel to Netherfield without some kind of written permission!" she asks Seth as she takes her long one shouldered silver dress out of the armoire. She walks over to her screen and changes as Seth talks.
"I'm don't know why Sarah, besides, like I said, I only think they are. I could be totally wrong you know." Seth pauses. "But you know... Them planning a trip could explain the guests... But just forget I said anything about it. You're in enough trouble as it is." He grins as Sarahs comes out form behind the screen, her dress shimmering around her legs as she walks. "You're so gorgeous sis." Sarah throws him a look causing him to laugh as she puts in a pair of silver tear drop shaped earrings then her silver flats.
"You only say that 'cause we're identical twins."
"You know... That's something I never got. I'm a guy, and you're a girl, yet we're identical twins. How is that possible?" Seth asks as Sarah quickly runs a bruhs through her hair then pins it up with light tendrils falling around her face.
"Don't think about it too hard Seth. You'll hurt yourself," Sarah says leaving the room. Seth pauses, thinking about what she said for a second.
"Hey!" he calls, rushing down the hall after her. Sarah just laughs and continues down the hall.
Jasmine
Netherfield
Jasmine blinks as sunlight pours through her window and into her eyes. She groans and flips over, not wanting to get up yet. After a couple of seconds she sighs and sits up, rubbing her face. "Goodmorning to me..." she mutters. "Yeah... Good... Sure." She gets up out of her small bed and stretches, her lower back popping quietly. She looks in the mirror next to her bed and frowns at how thin her face seems and the light bags under her eyes from lack of sleep the night before. She grabs her brush off of the dresser against the wall next to her and runs it through her hair several times before finally just pulling it around her shoulder and braiding it, tying it together at the end with a dark blue ribbon. Jasmine lets her hair fall back behind her shoulder and pulls out a drawer of her dresser. She rifles through the clothes before finally pulling out a plain dark blue halter dress the same color as teh ribbon in her hair and similar to the one she wore the day before with silver embroidery and beading just under the bust giving the dress a cinched appearance. She slips the dress on and looks in the mirror once more. She smiles a little when she realizes that that one stubborn piece of hair has fallen out of the braid already and is now laying across her forehad. She doesn't even bother to try and put it back, instead just leaving it, remembering the many times that Liam had tenderly brushed it back out of her face while they were together.
She shakes her head, clearing it of the memories before she starts crying again. Jasmine grabs her change purse and quickly slips her matching blue flats on then leaves her room. She goes downstairs and grabs a couple designs off her desk then goes down to the shop. "Annette?" she calls out. The shopkeeper pokes her head up from behind the counter and raises an eyebrow in question. "I'm gonna go out and get some materials for these new dresses. I'll be back in an hour or two."
"Alright," Annette says. "Have fun. Oh, and while you're out pick up something for dinner for us tonight please. We don't have very much in the way of an actual meal. We're good for lunch, but that's about it. Here's a little bit extra money for it." She hands Jasmine some money then walks with her to the door. "See you in a bit dear." She smiles as Jasmine leaves then flips the sign in the door to open, officially opening the dress shop for the day.
Jasmine walks down the street to the main market place. She stops at one stall that specializes in glass and metal beads and looks through the wares in the bowls. She finally picks a handful of rose colored glass beads and some brass beds as well, both plain in style. She continues on and stops in at a fabric store and buys several yards of black, light pink, red, white and light blue fabric as well as matching ribbon. She slings the heavy bag full of her purchases over her shoulder and walks farther into the market, now more browsing than purchasing, not ready to go back to the shop yet and not feeling like adding more weight to the already heavy bag on her shoulder.
OOC Notes
When Kimberly woke up the next morning she again went to the center of town and began calling out for people to buy her wares. She called out as loud as possible, even went so far as to go from person to person. Nothing worked, she sat on a fountain with her head in her hands and cried for a few moments. She thought about her mother and father. However, she knew she could never go back unless she married the man of her parents choosing. She sat up suddenly, and once again began calling out. "Fresh wild flower petals!!! Get your fresh wild flower petals here!!!" She chased a woman and attempted to sell her the flower petals. The woman stopped and bought two jars of both wild and rose petals. Kimberly had managed to get another four dollars. She quickly hid her stash and kept on calling out to people.
She thought she had spotted the young man her mother was so keen on getting her to marry. She looked again and sure enough it was, she quickly put the hood of her cloak up and turned away. She walked at a quickened pace and then hid behind a bar, she peaked to see if he had noticed. He was standing by the floral shop, and his back was to her. She breathed a sigh of relief and then, continued about her business farther down the street, she soon saw her father and she became suspicious. She approached cautiously, "Dad? What's going on? I saw him again. How are mom and you?" She gave a slight curtsy to him, and he turned surprised to see her no doubt. "We are fine, my dear sweet child. Where have you been, you look like a poor begger? Please, come home now. Your mother is dying to know if you are safe and well." Kimberly shook her head sadly, "I can't do that. I don't want to married to a guy who would only see me as a trophy."
Kimberly, turned then ran off. Her father gave chase, soon she was dodging and weaving in and out of shops. Her father had to stop in midchase, she heard a small sob and turned. She saw her father actually crying! He had never done that before in all her life, not even when she was forced out by her own mother! She went up to him and hugged him. He held her tight, and they sat like that for a while and then she got up and walked off when he fell into a deep sleep. She left a jar of wild flower petals beside him. She then went into the place she now called home and began mixing some spices, and crushing the petals to get out the floral sent. She began making home made perfume's, she went back outside and went right back to the fountian and began selling the new item. Which soon made her a month's worth of money! When the last one was sold, she had gotten herself a new dress. A bright, yellow one and then bought food and a new pair of shoes.

Evelyn listened to Ninrian's debates and chuckled when Ninrian lost her hold on her ow persuasion. A short while later Sarah left. Evelyn cleaned the lab room and then walked out, the enchanted lamps dimming as the door shut. She listened to Ninrian's question as she walked down the stairs to her balcony.
"Yes I am serious. I never turn anyone down when they ask for help, and you're welcome to come. This is a good opportunity for me. It's unlucky for him that the head of a high up noble family has fallen greatly ill, but a good strike of luck for me. With this I can secure my reputation, hopefully, with the werewolves. They're prone to fighting and serious injuries in vast numbers that need many clerics to handle it effectively and quickly. With this I'll be more likely to be one of the clerics called in to help which means more chances for me to help people." Evelyn explained as she made it down the stairs and into her room from her balcony. She looked to her right to see Night resting peacefully. "It's good he's able to sleep it means he isn't a pain which means he won't be a hassle to handle on the trip," she added.
She walked from her room to her bath room and began to prepare for bed. She bathed and changed into a short white night gown and brushed her teeth. Then she grabbed a hair brush and started brushing her hair as she walked back from the bathroom to her bedroom. "You're welcome to spend the night here if you don't have anything at your home you don't need to bring," Evelyn said to Ninrian as she set the brush down on a dresser and then got a back back and started to pack a few essential items, from medicine, to two books, a change of clothes for when she would be washing her other outfit, and some basic clerical items like a small medicine grinder and what not.
"Well everything's all packed," Evelyn said as she stood up straight and stretched. She climbed into her bed and laid down resting her head on the soft pillow. "Good night Ninrian," she said sleepily and then quickly fell asleep.
NEXT MORNING
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Evelyn woke up and sat up slowly in her bed. She looked on in a slight daze, her blonde and red hair slightly messy and sticking out in the shorter areas. She got up, not yet making the observation to see if Ninrian had stayed that night or not, and walked into the bathroom to bath and get ready for the day. She got dressed in her usual attire and went down to the shop to handle her normal early morning customers that came to her usually daily. She ave them their medicine and informed each one of them that she would be away on business for a while and that another pharmacy nearby had been sent their medicine for the amount of time she should be gone. After her morning rush was over she walked back up stairs and gave Night some medicine and changed his bandage and started to pet him some. "Today's they day for the trip little guy," sh said as she strokes the soft shiny feathers.

Kara
Forest of Longbourn
"Kara," Zane's word broke through Kara's veil of sleep pulling her from the depth of her wonderful dreams.
"Hmmmm," she murmured not moving or opening her eyes. The dream was just getting to the good part. She didn't want to wake up yet. Then she felt Zane's arm disappear from around her only to be subsituted with a tender kiss upon her cheek which brought a contented smile to her face.
"Kara, wake up, love," he said again pulling her even closer to wakefulness. She opened her eyes and blinked sleepily unaccustomed to the sunlight after her long slumber. The first thing she saw when she was able to look around properly was Zane's beautiful face looking down on her. Kara's smile grew larger and she reached up cupping his face in her hand.
"Good morning, my love," she greeted sleepily not moving from her position on the ground.
Beth
Longbourn
Beth was distured from her dreams by the sound of over-excited whispering. In her half-awakefulness she furrowed her brow and muttered, "go away." This demand was met by a lot of giggling and louder whispers.
"Darling, you must get up. The day has begun and you oughtn't waist it lying in bed," the gentle voice of Sarah announced sounding a tad amused.
"Perhaps there is a reason why you are so tired. Hmmm?" the excited voice of Abigail butted in.
"Abigail, let her wake up before you start pestering her," Daisy scolded.
"Oh you wanted to wake her up to ask just as much as the rest of us, don't try and sound innocent," Abigail retorted teasingly. Meanwhile Beth was gaining awareness and figuring out why her sisters were making such a fuss of waking her up. Then she felt the thin band of silver she was wearing on the ring finger of her left hand. Of course, they would want to know the story. They'd been sleeping the whole time Nathan had been at the house.
"I'm awake," Beth sighed opening her eyes and sitting up in bed yawning sleepily.
"You must know, dear, why we are so eager for you to wake," Jenna pressed in her quiet way looking just as interested as all the rest.
"If it has to do with this ring on my finger, then yes, I do know," Beth replied wearin a sweet smile, "would you like me to tell you?"
"Please!" Abigail exclaimed looking as if she might burst if she didn't know soon.
"Nathan came last night while all of you were asleep. He met me in the garden and he...," Beth paused looking at the absorbed look on her sisters' faces as if they were hanging onto her every word.
"Go on," Daisy pressed.
"He got down on one knee under the tree with white flowers and he asked me to marry him. I said yes," Beth finished reliving the sweet memory as she told her sister.
"Oh, darling!" Sarah exclaimed throwing her arms around her littlest sister's neck, "I am so happy for you!" The other three joined in offering hugs, kisses, and their congratulations. Once the first excitment was over the girls gathered around Beth's bed, all still in their nightdresses, and pleaded for her to tell all the details as they took turns examining the beautiful ring. Beth obliged them giving the smallest details and felt so happy that she couldn't stop smiling. She felt like the happiest woman at the world at that moment.
Liam
Netherfield
"Master, you have a letter," Liam woke to a servent standing beside his bed holding a small white envelope. He merely growled at the servent and took the letter forcefully making the servent scurry from the room quickly. Liam sat up rubbing his eyes and brushing his messy hair out of his face. Perched comfortably on the edge of his bed he began examining the letter. His eyes grew wide as he saw the name written on the front.
Without takiong a second look Liam tore the envelope open nearly tearing the letter inside and unfolded it quickly. There were only four little words written on the page, but they sent a sharp pain through his heart like a dagger had been stabbed into his chest. Memories of her beautiful face and soft hair swarmed into his mind making him dizzy for a moment. Then he lept off the bed and to his wardrobe where he kept all his clothing still clutching the letter in his hand.
He threw on his normal outfit of all black then stormed out of the room still gripping the note tightly in his fist. As he marched through the castle his black jacket whipped out behind him and he wore a look of such determination no one dared to stop him and ask questions. It was only moments until he was out of the castle and in the streets of the town knowing exactly where to go.
As Liam walked many quesitons flashed through his mind the most prominent was, Will she still be there?
Then the dress shop came into view and he felt his heart stop. He knew she liked coming here to help out the owner. She used to when they were together even though her parents didn't like it. He shoved the door open forcefully and stood in the doorway squinting into the dim dress-shop looking for the owner.
"Where is she?" he demanded almost threateningly.

Edward strode through the streets looking around carefully, watching for any lurking trouble-makers and criminals. As the head of police it was his job to keep the streets and the city of Thorton Lacy free of trouble. The look upon his face was serious and the clothes upon the tall frame made him look almost regal. He walked with perfect posture and kept one hand alwasy on the hilt of his sword.
Suddenly he heard a scream and his head whipped around sending a few locks of his perfectly styled hair falling into his face. The noise had come from a ways down the street. Immediately Edward broke into a run barreling down the steet to the source of the scream. People jumped out of his way giving him unkind looks as he passed. In less than a moment he saw who had made the scream and why. A young woman was standing outside a tavern in the arms of a quesitonable looking man. Tears were rolling down her cheeks and the man was cackling, but when he saw Edward he let go of the woman and tore away down the street. Edward ran after him in hot pursuit trusting the bystanders on the street to get out of his
way.
But there was one, a girl carrying an armfull of wares who did not see him. She looked ragged and tired carrying a yellow dress and bottles of perfume. Edward was running too fast and couldn't slow down. Her back was turned to him and he ran head-on into her knocking her to the pavement and falling on top of her.
"Oh my, I am so sorry ma'am!" he apologized getting off of her as quickly as he could ignoring the pain in his knee. "Are you alright?" He inquired as he tried to gather her things that now lay scatted in the street. He picked up the yellow dress, which he noticed was rather becoming, the shoes, jairs of flower petals, and anything else he could get his hands on. All the while he kept his eyes nervously upon her pretty face all the while taking note of her locks of soft brown hair.
OOC Notes
Evelyn continued preparing for her trip and sighed when Ninrian was no where to be found. "Well... I guess this way I can at least take the quick route and get there in about two hours," she said to her self as she grabbed her bag and threw it over her shoulders and then grabbed Night put him gently into a pouch and put it on as well. She then went out to see a horse in front of her shop. She smiled closed her shop door, locked it, got on the horse and set off for the Netherfield.
She rode the horse at a steady speedy pace for the whole trip there, stopping to let it rest occasionally and check on Night. After a couple hours of riding she mad it to the Bridge that led to one of the gates on the outer wall of Netherfield. "It's so odd to me for a city to be wall but with the constant fighting with this race I can understand why they'd need it." she mumbled in slight awe as she trotted up to the gate. The gates were opened but two guards stopped her, as was normal procedure they went through her things swiftly, quietly, and professionally. It was nice not getting some arrogant guards that would have given her trouble about her belongings even though they were all normal belongings except for maybe Night.
After they gave her passage she lead the horse to a stable area for visitors to the town and then asked around for directions on how to get to the Krovinich Noble family's home, some people simply scoffed at her, others shoved passed her mumbling about Elves and finally she got to a well mannered werewolf that told her how to find it. After a short while she made it and they quickly brought her in and rushed her in. She placed Night at the door of the room with the ill noble's door and walked in with the bad that had her medicinal tools.
She walked in, smiled, and said in a gentle tone, "Sir Krovinich, I'm the cleric Evelyn from Longbourn you summoned for I know you may be in some pain and moving may be uncomfortable but please bear with me I'm going to do all I can with causing you as little uncomfortable as possible." she then started doing procedural things like checking his temperature, pulse, eye dilation, tongue coloring, throat coloring, and some more things. She smiled with relief at what she found.
"Okay good news sir what you have is a simple case of what we clerics call Zyler's Syndrome. It's where stress, bad nutrition, aging, and fighting wear down the body and weaken the immune system and affect brain neurons. This makes you have more issues fighting off sickness, gives you the false impression your in pain and opens you to getting infection easier. It's easily treatable if caught in time. I'm going to prepare your medicine you'll be taking for the next month or so and then you should be bright as new. Although I would suggest having some changes in life style so it doesn't happen again," she explained making sure the maid and woman she assumed was the wife in the room heard as well.
She then went into her bag and got out a small medicine wheel and some herbs and other medicinal items and started grinding them into a large amount of powder, after a short while she put it all in a bag and closed it and handed it to the wife. "Make sure that a spoon full gets put in some broth or liquid and he drinks it all once a day. That with a lot of rest and he'll be fine," she said.
They thanked her and she showed herself out of the room after she received her pay and then she went to pick up the pouch that she had expected to see Night's head sticking lazily out of at the side of the door. It was empty however, Evelyn's eyes went wide, she picked up the pouch and then heard a shriek she knew to be Night. She ran and followed it seeing a teenage son of the Nobleman teasing Night and spreading his hurt wings putting him in obvious pain.
"Stop that!" Evelyn yelled and she went to take Night from the werewolf but instead the werewolf pushed her down and told her to back off. Evelyn quickly jumped up and grabbed the back of the werewolf's neck in two intense pressure points. "You will let go of my little Night right now or I will make sure that I sever your spinal cords at the base of your neck and you never can walk or lift your arms again," she said calmly as she applied pressure to the werewolf knowing she herself wouldn't actually do it but also knowing that he would probably buy it in the pain she was giving him right now.
The werewolf let Night go and then his mother and maid and another fat werewolf woman she hadn't seen before stumbled in and saw their son bloodied slightly with bird pecks and scratches from Night defending himself, and being brought to his knees by a threatening elf and did what any family would do. Freak out call the guards and have Evelyn brought to the palace. The whole way there she held Night close to her and tried to explain the situation but as the guards bluntly put it. they didn't care about her excuse elves should learn their place and not attack innocent werewolves.
They brought her down to the palace dungeon and opened a large wooden door that lead into it beyond the door there was a long hallway with cells upon cells filled with multiple people. They threw her in a cell with three other werewolf men in them and told her to wait there until the elders decide to see her, if they did at all.
Evelyn sighed and then turned around to see the three werewolf men creeping ever closer to her, she sighed and put Night down and then knocked them all out easily via pressure points and then sat down in the back of the cell with Night cradled in her arms, "Stupid arrogant nobles I left my bag in their home and everything.... At least I got you with me safely eh Night?" she mumbled as she stroked the birds feathers, it was clear his medicine was starting to wear off and he was starting to become more and more in pain.
-------------------------------------------
The guards that brought Evelyn to the dungeon found one of the castle servants and had them lead them to where Christos, the eldest of the four ancients were. "Sir an elf is being held in the dungeon down below. Nobleman Krovinich's wife, sister, and a maid of the family called us to get her saying they had seen her and her pet bird assaulting the family's teenager," the guard went on to explain the cell they had put her in and then finished their reporting and left to return to their duties around the city.

Evelyn sat in the dark slightly damp dungeon waiting to be lead to the ancients hoping that some how they would believe her trust over the Noble's misconceptions of what happened knowing the son would lie to get out of any trouble he would be in.

OOC Notes
Zane
Forest of Longbourn
Zane smiled and leaned into Kara's soft, small hand as she cupped his face. "Good morning, my love," she greeted softly. Oh, how he loved her. If he could wake up to this for the rest of his life, he'd be the happiest man to ever live. For a moment, he forgot all he'd woken her up for and just looked at her, basking in her warmth and beauty.
"Morning, lovely," he smiled. He leaned down and kissed her, putting his hand on her neck. Since his hand was so large, his fingers wrapped around under her long, lucious hair, and his thumb was able to rest lightly on her jaw bone. It was something that made both of them laugh occassionally.
The kiss was soft and passionate, and Zane intentionally let it linger. He didn't get to see her that often, so he was going to take advantage of it. They could talk via letter, but they couldn't show affection in the same way. When he saw her, what few times he could, he intended to show her all the affection she could handle. So much affection, in fact, that'd she be sick of it, but when they were apart, she'd have something to run off of until their next meeting.
He finally broke the kiss, pulling back slightly to look at her. Without moving from essentially holding her, he sighed and gained a sad look in his eyes. He hated having to break up the time they spent together, especially since time available was hard to come by now.
"Kara, we have to leave. . . The risk is too high in the day time. Forest Elves are out and about. If they see us, we'll be in great trouble." Zane paused a moment and searched for her hand. He found it and held it in his, his hand swallowing her small hand entirely.
((I'll let you get a response in.))
Nathan
Longbourn
Nathan reached the humble home in a short time. Given that he had walked the whole way, he was surprised to find it took him nearly no time at all to arrive. Tree jumping would have been so much faster, yes, but walking seemed to do the deed just as well.
Nearing the house, he stopped and just observed nature. As a land-mapper, which is similar to a landscaper one would say, he took time to notice the beauty of nature. Beth's home was grand and beautiful, surrounded by lush grass and beautiful trees. The garden was the most appealing portion of the home. It was so humble, and eye-catching. The tree with the white flowers stood out amongst other things of the garden, but Nathan remembered it most because of last night. Despite her abrupt goodbye, Nathan had enjoyed every moment spent kneeling under that tree.
With a deep breath of fresh air, Nathan began walking to the door on the set path in front of the house. At the door, he stepped back to glance over at Beth's window. He was sure she'd be up by now, and the house did smell of breakfast, so he knocked on the door.
Nathan stood there, with a small grin, handsome as anything. This wasn't his personal opinion, but Beth had often told him that if he was wearing that outfit and standing like that at her door, he was handsome as anything. Given the special occassion, he'd worn what would please her and would look nice all at the same time.
At the last moment, he darted across from Beth's house into the wooded area, found a budding rose bush and picked a rose. His agility got him there and back in no time. While waiting, he took out his small hand knife and began sheeding the thorns of the brilliant red rose. When the door opened, he was just finishing up, so he pocketed the knife quickly. . .
Levi
Thorton Lacey
Levi knocked softly on the door to Sarah's room. He had brought fresh linens with him, but he quickly set them aside when he saw her crying. He shut the door and walked over to her, worried.
"What's wrong?" he asked her softly. He knelt before her as she was sitting on the loveseat, and he put a comforting hand on her arm. Her head was in her hands and she was curled up, crying. It hurt him to see her like that, but he couldn't help her if he didn't know what was wrong.
When she didn't answer immediately, he gently tugged her hands away from her face and lifted her chin. He held her hands lightly, and looked her straight in the eyes. "Sarah, why are you sad?" Levi was never one to catch on quickly, but he asked the simplest of questions to find out the answer.
Lia Kim
Pemberly
Running around town, fuming in anger. . .
The Anceints
Netherfield
"Brother, are you certain it was right to call in the Bruno family, just on a suspicion?"
"Yes, I am, Benjamin!" Christos fumed. "This is getting out of hand. Sarah sneaking out at night, going to the Lynosry Pharmacy, her parents suspicious movements. . . What more probable cause do I need? They are constructing something, setting a movements, SOMETHING that will threaten our rule!"
"And what was the purpose of calling young Sarah here if you are concerned about her parents?"
"She is collecting drugs, sneaking out at night, she's helping them! Bottom line, Benjamin, I called them in and they will attend. The Orb does not misdirect. We reserve further judgement on the matter."
"Whatever you wish, brother. Have you told Blitz or Liam of your findings?"
"No. Those irresponsible hooligans have no say in the matter."
"They are kings as well, need I remind you."
"And I am the eldest, need I remind you, brother! Keep your place, Benjamin."
"This was set up to be an equal rule. We are brothers. Our age means nothing! You need to tell them."
"I am the eldest and my word is law! If I say we shan't tell them, then we shan't!" Christos retorted.
"No, Christos, OUR word is law! You hold no more power than the rest of us. You have just taken on a different job than we. Each of us equal, each of us kings. You need remember this."
"The answer, Benjamin, is no."
"Then, I shan't be apart of this lie." Benjamin turned on his heel, throwing a knife into the wooden table, and stormed out.
Christos remained, fuming, in the Armory, pacing back and forth. A worker had stopped to stare in confusion, but Christos immediately straightened him out. "What are you standing there for!" The worker shuffled off and went back to work, sorting the newly crafted weapons.
"Sir, an elf is being held in the dungeon down below. Nobleman Krovinich's wife, sister, and a maid of the family called us to get her saying they had seen her and her pet bird assaulting the family's teenager," a guard said. Christos turned and glared at the guard. Procedure had not been followed. The guard was to properly announce himself. Given the situation, Christos let it slide.
"Bring her to me," he ordered.
Joshua, seeking out Blitz after hearing the argument in the Armory. Blitz patrolling. NEXT POST

Netherfield
Christos
Christos nodded as the guards announced themselves, stepping back and letting the prisoner stand before him. He gazed at her with a bored, almost angry expression, but was pleased with the simple Forest Elf bowed her respects. For not being of his faction or race, she knew quite a bit about the proper respect for an Ancient.
"I understand that you, along with that bird, attacked a young Werewolf in the city today, correct? Yes, well, law speaks that you should be thrown in jail, or worse, but being of particular interest to me, I will let you speak your piece." Christos was calm voiced, but mentally he was trying to figure out why she was so familiar.
Then it hit him. She was the woman from the Vision of the Orb. She was Evelyn Lynosry of Lynosry Pharamacy. She was the one selling to Sarah Bruno, suspect of conspiracy against the Ancients. He pushed that note aside to question her later. Oh, how wonderful this was turning out to be. First, she attacks a citizen, and now she is conspiring against the Ancients. Oh, delightful.
Blitz and Joshua
Blitz was on the main balcony, overlooking all of Netherfield before him. He was interrupted in his routine observance by Joshua as he ran up, out of breath.
"Joshua? Breathe, boy, breathe! Now, speak. What is wrong?"
Joshua had caught his breath and he stood erect to address his superior. "Sir, Christos and Benjamin were in the Armory talking. I'd gone in to exchange your blades and I heard them say your name."
"Yes, what of it?"
"Well, evidently, sir, Christos and Benjamin were arguing over whether or not you and your brother, Liam, should be told of a certain high-priority item of business."
"What item of business?"
"The Bruno family has been summoned to stand before the Ancients on charges of supposed conspiracy against them. They'd seen it in the Orb, sir."
"Why was I not notified?" Blitz was angry, but not at Joshua, at his brothers.
"Christos refused. He and Benjamin, they got in a heated debate over whether to tell you. Christos refused even though Benjamin tried to convince him otherwise."
"So, Christos decided I was not to know, then?"
"Yes, sir. Christos alone. He said, 'I am the eldest and my word is law! If I say we shan't tell them, then we shan't!'"
"Yes, well, I'll see to it that this is handled otherwise. Joshua, patrol the palace roof where Christos nor Benjamin might find you. Stay until you see our signal or until I come retrieve you."
"Yes, sir." Joshua set about obeying and Blitz stalked off toward the Armory, clearly angry. His nostrils flared and he could sense he was on the verge of change. He would deal with Christos first.

Netherfield
Christos
Christos listened to the story Evelyn Lynosry, Elven owner of Lynosry Pharamcy in Longbourn. She was very confident about herself, it seemed. He could appreciate that. When she finished her story, he narrowed his eyes in thought, pacing a few steps. He stopped at the table with the knife sticking in it from where Benjamin had thrown it.
"Evelyn Lynosry, owner of Lynosry Pharamacy. You were here on permissed business, and got in a misunderstanding, yes? I'll pass a judgement of warning upon this, seeing the holes in where perspective makes a difference. Understand, warnings are not given out lightly in my Palace. However, I do have other reasons to question you."
Christos paused and paced a little bit, observing occassionally how the bird, referred to as Night, sat in her arms bleeding. He huffed a sigh and walked over to the Elven woman. "Your bird, it's hurt?" He didn't wait for an answer. "Set about taking care of it while I convene my brother."
With that, Christos sent a guard off to get Benjamin, but he himself disappeared around the corner. The Armory had a secret passage that led to a small ledge. It could pass a balcony, but he preferred to call it a window with a outstanding ledge. There he took a deep breath and then returned.
When he did, Blitz burst through the door.
"Blitz!" Christos addressed, alarmed.
"Brother, we must speak," Blitz ordered, noticing the prisoner.
"Later."
"Now," he retorted. Not wanting to look a fool, Christos nodded and pushed out into the hall, clearly disappointed and angry with his brother. The guards inside had clear instruction to watch the prisoner. Death to those who disobeyed him. He had no time for foolish antics today. . .

Re: [OOC] Rebellion
ZOMG! So, this is totally horrendous of me to have totally just dropped off. Gah! I won't promise that it won't happen again because I hate breaking promises and this is a potential promise to be broken. Anyway, I hope to get things restarted shortly. We can even restart the entire RP in another thread if needed. Just let me know your thoughts, and I shall consider.
Re: [OOC] Rebellion
I would just like to inform you that I am intrigued in joining your roleplay.

Re: [OOC] Rebellion
Everyone:
Hey I wanted to come on the behalf of both MistressDarkstar and I to apologize for the absence...mine longer than hers. We truly apologize, but there are things that prohibit us from being here and posting steadily at the moment. Mistress is dealing with work, family, and band camp at the moment. I don't know how many of you are aware, but I am sick. It's not a sickness that will go away quickly. I'm in the process of discovering what it is that leaves my body weak and unable to handle simple daily activity. I'm often too tired to put in the effort to post. I don't know when I'll be able to get back to posting and neither does Mistress. We are both sincerely sorry as I''ve said and hope to be returning as soon as our circumstances allow it. Please be patient and don't put this rp too far out of your mind. It is both Mistress's wish and mine that this rp will be revived. Happy posting!
toodles! : )
