Introduction
The Light is divided into seven colors. No one choses which color they use, or how gifted they are. That is left to fate. However, once they begin to use magic, whichever color is their primary attribute, a ringed halo slowly forms in the center of their irises, matching their gifted color.
Sub-red, invisible to all and unable to be made solid or even into a liquid. Sub-red is the color of heat, and aside from superviolet, it is the rarest color to be used by mages. It has no other use than to be a source of heat. Its functionality in combat is incredibly flexible. It has many uses but none of the really practical, save if you want to attack someone. Has no smell.
Red, which is fire and explosives, can be made into a liquid or a jelly. It is highly flammable. And if condensed, it is explosive. It is incredibly stick, so it can be used as an effective foundation laying tool. Smells like coal.
Orange is semi-unstable, and kind of flammable, but not nearly as powerful as red. Orange is mainly used to defensive type magic, shields, armor coating, and is the main substitute for metal, at least in the sense of weaponry. Smells like citrus.
Yellow is very unstable and is only a liquid. When exposed to white light, it tends to re-enter the spectrum with a blinding flash. If combined with other colors...it can be very effective. Smells like morning dew.
Green is the universal construction magic. You can use it to build just about anything really. Its the most stable. Its hard to impliment into combat but its do-able. Green is wild, unpredictable, and tends to affect the mind of whoever uses it. Makes them feel chaotic. Smells like pine.
Blue is the most solid of them all. It has its uses in all fields, like a jack of all trades. It is also the main component for armor, usually combined with green. Smells like chalk.
Superviolet is invisible but solid, unlike sub-red which is the only color not able to be crafted into luxin. Being invisible, it can be used in a lot of ways. Smells like rain.
All colors, aside from sub-red, can be crafted into an either solid, liquid, or jelly like state called luxin. Depending on the color, it can be either really soft, or incredibly hard or anywhere in between. This applies to longevity, stability, and texture as well.
There are differentiating stages of power with all the colors. Most mages, or luxiants, are monochromes, meaning they can only use one color. Then their are bichromes, uncommon but not unseen. They can use two colors. Then, finally, there are polychromes. They can use three, and in cases of extreme rarity, four colors. If anyone chooses to be a polychrome, you must tell me before hand. You have to be able to see the colors you can cast, so most mages where spectacles with colored lenses. They don't work as well as the real color, but its better than nothing.
Then, there are the color wights. When light is abused and used to such an extreme, Anitia sometimes chooses to curse her ungrateful children. She shatters the halo of color in their eyes and makes it so that they can only see the color they are most skilled with. This grants them with an extreme amount of power. But at a price. Their sanity, and their bodies slowly decay, and the speed of this deterioration increases overtime. They are mistrusted, hated, sometimes hunted, and viewed as less than human.
