The small backwater town where the bastard son of the Prism has been forced to flee. Its small, barely a population of 200. It has a church to Anitia, a town hall, a black smith, and Luxiant Quarters, and the town guard is made up of volunteer militia. Its not a big enough town to support an Inn.Add Post Here »
Stella Minro??a pulled Sufferance with her... then she heard a whistle and felt pulled herself, "Hey! Let us go!" She didn't have a choice to follow though... She let herself get pulled and ended up in a cooler place, probably in a shaded alleyway. Meredella and Greylan hadn't growled or chirped in warning, so she assumed that whoever had pulled her and Sufferance here were to be trusted... She was still holding her new friend's hand, so she was slightly relieved.
Dazen Phyrex let out a sharp growl. "I was trying to help them! Stop trying to boss you around you asshole!" He was really losing his temper, but using green had calmed him down a little bit. "And for your information..." He regarded the girl from earlier, glad the light of the fire hid his blush. "T-the town is under attack. They want someone...I think its me. They are killing everyone who runs out of town. I saw..." He gulped. "A family ran out the north gate...all of them shot down with arrows..." He looked back to the boy and narrowed his eyes. "The river...we take the river out. Get to the Golden Waste. Father told me about a safe house there...."
Inaoro Shadows nodded and set up the ranks. Inaoro himself was infront of the group. He put Stella at his left flank, Sufferance at his right, and Dazen directly behind him. "Then we head to the river. And if you want to keep that head of yours on your shoulders, you might want to listen to me. I was raised by mercenaries, maybe it will connect in your brain that I know what I'm talking about." he said moving through the crowds slowly, blending them all into the shadows. "Now, while we are traveling, you all are going to have to be quiet and listen to me. These guys are obviously dangerous and they will kill you. Especially you Dazen, since you are their target." he said in a low whisper still blending in with the shadows.
Sufferance Tural couldn't help but glare as Inaoro as her grip on Stella was broken due to his positioning. Yeah, he better know what he's doing...Otherwise, she'd have to knock sense into him...Crap! Her bag...She'd left it in the shop. Well, there went any hope of defense from her end. She berated herself quietly before moving in imitation of Inaoro. "They are, darling. I got to see a nice sketch of you. There's a bichrome mage after you. Yellow and blue, if I remember correctly. Just so you two know what you're against," she mumbled. She winced slightly, thinking of any of the families that could've been struck down. One she knew...? She shook her head and prepared herself. She'd get through this. And they would, too, if she had any say in the matter.
Stella Minro??a stayed silent the whole way... She didn't feel as safe now that she wasn't holding her friend's hand anymore, but she still had Greylan and Meredella. She heard them talk about colours, as she felt the temperature rise and lower as they moved from shadow to shadow... She could still smell the smoke and feel the heat and roar of the fire, but she couldn't stop thinking about those colours... How she wished she could see them, even if they were dangerous... She let a silent tear fall down her cheek and followed ahead...
Dazen Phyrex had to obey this time around. He knew, as he calmed down, that this kid was more suited to this kinda thing then he was. He hadn't seen anyone near the river before, hopefully it was still pretty desolate. Hopefully. He turned to the shop girl and tried to give a smile. It turned into a nervous, half-smile. "I...Thanks...I'm so sorry....I didn't want to come here. Go anywhere...I knew I'd get people hurt. Wrapped up in this." He hated himself now more than ever....
Inaoro Shadows sighed. They were almost there, hopefully they would remain unseen.... "Kid, people will like you better if you don't constantly apologize. I'm going to teach you how to grow a backbone if it kills you kid." yes, Inaoro knew he was younger than Dazen, but what did he care, he definitely acted like the adult of the group. He tapped Stella's shoulder. "Hey, don't cry. Hold on to my shoulder. I promise nothing is going to happen to any of you." he said softly, trying to ease the girls fear. Last thing he needed was a mental breakdown in the group, that would surely get them killed.
Sufferance Tural raised a brow pointedly at Inaoro's scolding. He...certainly seemed determined? Not the most likable of the group...But not the worst, either. She smiled back kindly at the other boy. "Don't apologize to me, darling. You can't help it, I don't think. We'll just have to find you somewhere else to hide, yes? And I'd like to hear the story behind this 'hunt' if you don't mind..." she stated quietly. "Don't worry, Stella. Everything'll be alright," she added, giving another smile, though it would do nothing except maybe leak into her voice.
Stella Minro??a nodded quickly, grabbing Greylan's scruff... She prefered the wolf over the boy she didn't really know... She knew they were trying to comfort her, but it wasn't really helping. She sighed as she continued to follow.
Dazen Phyrex finally stumbled ahead of the brat, tripping over something...large and black. Charred. He shoved it out of his mind as he saw the river...And a man leaning on the blacksmith's lounge, drawing a massive blade out of the spine of the smithmaster. He was blond, cloaked much like the town's attackers, his eyes...wait...His eyes! They weren't halo'd! They were broken. "A-...A wight..."
