Name: Dana Loomis
Age: 17
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Personality: Dana is the first person to admit she is one big contradiction. Though easily embarrassed, she’s not afraid to stand up and speak her mind. In school she is usually the type who gets called on a lot because she’s willing to chance being wrong, though it takes less than a wrong answer to make her blush. A bit naive, she often assumes the best in people and will defend them when no one else will, even if she doesn’t know the person. She will almost never tell someone when she is angry or upset with them unless they’re being cruel to someone else. As such, she tends to let emotions build up inside her until finally being unable to contain them all, and will either unleash her anger on someone she loves and trusts, or will go on extreme crying jags during the night, followed by an entire day of being irritable. It is pretty easy to tell her moods, as she is not very good at lying, and curses with more frequency the more irritated or upset she is.
Though she is nonjudgmental and does not push her beliefs on others, Dana is a strong believer in Christianity. However, she believes only the worst of the worst, like Adolf Hitler bad, go to Hell. She also believes that all types of religion are just different ways of worshiping the same “Greater Being” and believes everyone was created by God just the way they are.

History: Born a Navy brat, Dana spent the first five or so years of her life moving around a lot. She was the youngest of four, the older three all boys. Her eldest brother, Kyle, was a computer genius, and later grows up to work for Apple. Her second brother, Mitch, was gay and flamboyant, and was the greatest influence on her out of her entire family. He is in his final year of college for media arts. And the third brother, a mere year and a half apart from herself, was born with Asperger’s syndrome. As such, Alex stayed an extra year in elementary school and is in the same grade as his sister.
When Dana was six, her father retired from active duty, and the family finally took up a permanent residence in Massachusetts. All the moving around in their early lives had not been good for either of the youngest two. The third brother, Alex, did not adjust well to new conditions, and with this example Dana tended to have issues socializing with her peers as well. The family bonded with their new community through church, and it was here Dana began to develop friendships. Her parents were both intellectual types, and though her Father was strict, they frequently encouraged their children to question things and forge their own opinions. Every night, the entire family would eat together, regardless of day plans, and share stories and discussions.
In school, Dana had a legacy to live up to already from her brothers, as well as take care of Alex when she could. Though she got good grades, she was not the numbers wizard Kyle was or a gifted artist like Mitch. Alex too, had found his niche in science, while she still struggled to find her talent. She tried band, chorus, art, drama, and even dance, but couldn’t seem to break away from her family and create her own identity. Though she had friends and wasn’t unhappy, she felt purposeless.
It was when Mitch came out as gay that things first started to change for her. She was 13 at the time, and he was in his final year of high school. Though she personally had known for much longer, he came out at school and to their parents then. Surprisingly, her parents were both supportive. However, as word spread, they found themselves no longer welcome at the church they had called home for so many years. It was then that Dana first truly took a look at the world around her, and decided she didn’t entirely like what she saw. She wanted to do more than live her life an average person, leaving behind no mark and forcing everyone else to do the work she knew needed to be done. Thus, she decided she was going to enter politics after college. Her ultimate goal was a Senator, but secretly, she even hoped to one day be the President.
Immersing herself in History of all kinds, government classes focusing on many countries, and learning French and Spanish, she had finally found a purpose. She overcame her shyness to learn public speaking, and cared more about her appearance. When the letter for the Academy arrived, Dana was overjoyed. What better ways to make connections, get into good colleges, and learn politics than joining the Student Council of a prestigious school? And that is exactly what she plans to attempt. Little does she know, it's a bit more complicated than that.
