Personality: Hotaru is always only described in one word, odd. She's quiet, independent and as some would say cool, having that bad girl edge and look to her which she defines perfectly with her persona. She's very helpful and kind even though she doesn't smile a lot in public but with her friends; Hotaru only feels safe around her best friends and no one else. She has hard time trusting others but will give them the chance to; she also has the tendency to overly think things but keeps her thoughts to herself unless when she's pissed off. Hotaru has a calm attitude and isn't easily angered unless she really hates you. She's very wise from someone so young and many are always astonished by her depth in different matters and even music. Hotaru is sweet and kind but she rarely smiles which makes people think she's cold and aloof when in truth she's like that because of her family life.

Biography: Hotaru was born on October 31st, on a very cold night to Mikoto and Rokuro Mayonaka in Hong Kong, China but then moved to Kyoto, Japan three months later. Her mother was half Japanese and half Chinese, her mother's mother was the owner of one of the most well respected Geisha Houses in all of Kyoto and her father was the son of one of the most respected spiritual leader of the Shinto Shrine. This two families lived together in as some may say in harmony but was far from it. Hotaru's family lived unbalanced, unbalanced because the men in her family ruled over the females and they never said anything about it. They didn't fight back, they seek equality, they let themselves be taken over by the men and accepted the fact that they'll always be ruled by them.

Hotaru begged to defer, she believed women could be just as superior as the men and maybe even achieve more then they could. From the age of one she had always been taught men would always ruler her, that she was to weak to fight against them and achieve anything more then been a home maker. Hotaru hated that, even though she was young she had always had the feeling she could be as strong as a men, a hard worker as one and even work in their fields of work. She always got punished for trying to drive off the current of how her family ran things but she didn't care and kept doing it wanting to prove any women could be as good as a man.

Years passed and Hotaru proved she could be just as superior as a man but only at school, at home she was still looked down upon by her male family members. When Hotaru was ten she got the chance of leaving Kyoto with her school to see Tokyo for a week; there she found her greatest inspiration and future dream, Visual Kei. From there on she started listening to the music more and more, loving it and soon began dressing it with pride even though her family members forbid it, she did it anyways even if she had to do it in hiding. Soon she got her friends on it as well and on their High School years they started a band together. First it was for fun to see if they were good and were proven right; Hotaru told all of them that on graduation day she would be dropping out of school and heading to Tokyo to make it big as a musician. Her teachers tried to change her mind, to make her go to collage but she refused and her friends followed her on her quest.

The day of their graduation they left together and traveled to Tokyo; Hotaru went with her family's worst wishes but could careless. Soon they arrived to Tokyo and got normal jobs to help support them, which they didn't mind and found a nice place to stay. They went on and on, months as Underground Musicians till six months later they found their last member of their band. Together they worked hard for two years till finally they reached the beginning of their dream, as they got requited by an agent from the Aristocrat Chrome Music Agency. They could have been more thrilled, but Hotaru knew it was just the beginning and would still have a long way to go. But they soon meet their match, their greatest obstacle was Death+Trace, an all Male Visaul Kei band.

After a heated discussion between the members and Hotaru calling it off with just five words she declared war against Death+Trace but mainly their singer. Now her life dream has began but with a great deadly obstacle.

Girls have even asked her out due to her boyish personality but she rejects them nicely for she's completely straight. But its mostly her phobia of falling in love that keeps her from finding the one. Seeing how her family was growing up, love didn't exist in it; she had fallen for a guy once but it turned out he had someone else he loved, so in fear in been rejected or ending up like her family members, she became frightened of falling for someone and so her phobia began.
