Introduction
"We can't hate eachother forever, right?"
Two kingdom's have been fighting with eachother for countless ages, but now they've come up with a fair solution to their problem. They want to unite the two kingdoms into one by setting up an arranged marriage for their two eldest children. When they found out the prince and princess both ran away from home, bringing only their best friends, and for safety reasons, their personal bodyguards. They've never been beyond the castle walls, now out in this new land, they may end up fall in love.

OOC Notes
"It is the only way to unite our two kingdom's, you're her personal guard you should believe in what is best for my daughter. Do not repeat this conversation, I trust you know the consequences."
The same lines had been running and repeating through Aurora's mind since the King first spoke them, she could have sworn she could still hear his booming voice ringing through the halls of the castle. As a bodyguard she did have to act according to the Princess's benefit, but she was also a good friend, and if Aura knew Akemi like she thought she did, she surely wouldn't agree to such an arrangement. She had to tell her, but on the other hand, if the King ever found out that would be the end of Aura's job and maybe more. Conflicted more than ever, the blonde female left her room to be at the Princess's side. It was still early, the Sun was barely beginning to rise. With the exception of other guards, nearly everyone else was asleep.
"Look on the bright side Aura," she began mumbling to herself, tilting her head up in thought, "if they do get married then all of this fighting and bloodshed will end. That would make everyone happy, or at least satisfy them temporarily. Then again, Akemi's never even met him before, she might be miserable. I have to keep her best interest at heart too. This is so confusing." Sighing Aura stopped just outside of the Princess's room. She could just tell her and make her promise not to let her father know, but that was very risky. "Too bad they can't just grow up and stop fighting." Aurora leaned against the cold stone wall outside of Akemi's room, she wouldn't say anything to her, she couldn't.

He put the golden helm down at the desk of his study sitting as far back as the wooden chair would let him. “Father… why do you press such an issue… I have told you I am a paladin… a knight and servant of the gods… Even if I wished to marry her I could not my vows are with the people not with a person.” He said shaking his head as his father stood behind him speaking in their people’s ancient language only kept alive by the direct line of royalty. “Father… See if brother wishes it… I have already told you no.. not to mention I turned down my rights to the crown many a month ago.” His father raised his voice now and Alexei sank in his seat his face flushing. “Father… that was when I was but a fresh from childhood… how could I not wish for the most forbidden of fruit… and if I recalled… you said I’d never marry her.” He recoiled as his father struck him with a open hand knocking the knight off his chair and onto the floor where it had struck him the skin had split blood beginning to form along the paper thin line. “Yes father… I will obey…”

He then dropped onto his bed with a deep sigh. Akemi woke up to the beautiful sunshine in her face. She stretched then yawned and swung her legs over her bed. "Time to get this day started!" She was normally very happy in the morning. She always felt on top of the world when she looked out her window looking at her future kingdom. Akemi got up to take a quick shower and brush her wet hair out. "Oh! Aurora must be waiting for me already. Today is the day that I will visit our people about the war." Akemi ran out of her room to meet Aurora standing against the wall outside of her door. "Let's meet outside once I get my friend then we will head to the village."

Tyler had been in the kitchens helping the cook prepare dinner just because he was the prince's best friend didn't mean he wasn't exempt from some sort of work. Tyler was dropped off at the castle gates as a baby and was given a room with the rest of the servants. Tyler was escorted down the long series of corridors when he reached his friends room he walked in and bowed before him. "yes your majety" Tyler said

“Please… do not refer to me as majesty… you know I dislike such. I ask for you consol… you who have been as more my brother then the one born of my blood.” He said sitting up and standing. “Father wishes me to marry the princess of our most reviled enemies… but… even for peace I can not… I have vows… what should I do… break everything that makes me who I am… for my nation… or forfeit the only chance of peace for my own sake… either way I am faced with a doubled edge sword… either way I get cut… either way I bleed…” He said shaking his head. “What coarse of action do you think would be best… flee this… insanity… or face it?”

"Then make ready… we shall be leaving… by the rising sun… we shall have left this castle… please make sure Nicholas is made aware… I don’t want him being punished by my father because I vanished in the middle of the night. The three of us shall make our way into the country side… and then into neutral land. Then we can be free from my foolish father’s rage.”

"sounds good I'll begin packing" Tyler ran to the servants quarters and grabbed a knapsack and began to fill it with medicinal supplies, rations and finally grabbed his sword and put it on around his waist. After he packed he went to Nicholas's room and knocked "Nicholas I bring you orders from the prince" Tyler said

Akemi walked away from Aurora to go head for her friend, but her dad stopped her in the hallway and asked to see her.
"It is a duty as the king to keep my kingdom safe correct?" He looked rather odd at Akemi while her mother just sat there.
"It is, but I have a feeling that your about to tell me something I wish not to hear." Her heart started to race at an abnormal rate.
"You must...marry the prince of our rivaled kingdom. This is something that I did not want to happen, but it is for the sake of the kingdom that you do this." Her mother looked down as if she was going to cry while her father had a fire burning in his eyes.
"So I don't even get a say in the matter! You can't just make me marry someone I barely even know!" At this point Akemi's day was ruined.
"As the princess you must not have such thoughts. It's for the best that this happens. Now that's the last I want to hear of this, you may leave now."
Akemi knew that her parents were rather upset themselves, so she left out of the room without another word. "I'm not going to cry about this it's just not even fair...I need Elena." She spoke to herself as she walked down the long castle hallways. She made her way to the garden and sat on a bench and let what just happen revolve around in her mind.

Elena ran down the corridors towards the garden and threw her arms around her friend.. "Akemi! Oh my god I heard! What are you going to do? What do you think he's like? Do you want me to do something about it?" Elena looked at her friend with a sorry look on her face. When she was surprised, she couldnt help but ramble. Especially about something this big! Making Akemi marry someone she doesnt even know? The thought made her shudder.

Akemi looked as her best friend in the whole world came running towards her. "Elena you don't know the half of it! I'm so conflicted between my duties as princess or what I feel like I should do." She put her head down onto her knees trying not to cry, but this was too much for her already. "Look at me, not even queen yet and I can't handle a simple arranged marriage." She sat back up and turned to look at Elena. "I hate to say it, but we have to go. We will run from here as far as we can." Akemi knelt down in front of Elena then looked her straight in the eye. "You can come with me, if not I will understand."

Elena, being the spunky girl she was, flicked Akemi in the head. she didnt care if she was a princess, no one doubted her friendship. "Of course I'm coming with you! But, what about your parents. I mean I know that they are being really unfair and cruel to try to set you up in an arranged marriage, but still, your mom didnt seem to happy about it. And where would we go?" she asked, rambling again.

Akemi took her had back a little not wanting to be flicked again, but looked bewildered at all of Elena's questions. "My parents will have to understand what I'm going through. I hate to do it but it must be done. After all I'll have you, and I'm going to bring Aurora along with. I highly doubt you or I can really fight someone off haha!" She tried to brighten the mood up and shut down any other questions about what she was going to do about the wedding. "Let's find Aurora get some stuff and sneak out. If anyone asks we are headed to the village and talk to the people. That's what I was originally going to do until I heard the news." Akemi stood up and started to walk to find Aurora.

Aurora quickly walk down the hallway, the stained glass windows casting a multi-colored puzzle over her face. Off in the distance she could hear the clicking of the Princess's heels against the marble floor. "Princess, there you are!" Aura stopped in front of Akemi, her eyes narrowing on the worried expression on her face. "Is something wrong?" She asked her although she already knew the answer and what the cause of her distress was. Leaning in closer she dropped her voice to a barely audible whisper, "You found out about the arrangement, who told you?" Aura bit her bottom lip, she knew the princess would be more than displeased with her parent's decision.

"Ok." was all she said, before getting up and following her friend. She stopped when they found Aurora, waving slightly, and nodding. "Yup, she knows."

Nicholas, being as caught up in too many jobs as he was, made his way back to the castle. Tyler's call had been unheeded, as Nicholas had been away from his room the entire night. He had taken up a job to assassinate a local gambler who had not paid his debts, and then job had gone just as planned. He had slipped the man a poisoned beverage, and left without awaiting the outcome, as only the strongest of body and will would have been capable of surviving, and the obese drunkard was nowhere near either one.
Nick made his way into the castle, and after a few inquiries, found his way to the prince. "Your majesty, you look charming and vexed as always." Nick wore grin, one that seldom left his face. Unraveling a scarf from around his face, Nicholas leaned against a nearby pillar, and let his gaze wander out a nearby window.

“My days are darkened as ever… I ask that you join me… Myself and Tyler are planning to make our way out of the kingdom.. Evade my father’s cruel plans to force me to wed our sworn enemy’s princess… not only is it a crime against all things holy… it goes against my personal beliefs… my vows… everything I am… so we shall deny my father in the only way he’ll understand… where he has no power. “I have packed…” He said lifting a bag with several instruments a collapsible easel… and a few other objects of the arts. He seemed to also have stuffed several pairs of clothing and road food into it. He had also tied a bag of coins to his belt. “I am ready… we must only wait till the changing of the guard…. Then we shall leave… any suggestions of where to go?”

Still hidden in the shadows of the pillar, Nick let his opinion be known. "If I make made my opinion known, we should head north, there is a small village in some mountains that way, the are not to unfamiliar with having strange people come through. Your Father is unlikely to follow us in that direction, and they aren't the gossipy type."

Akemi looked at Aurora and nodded yes at her. "We have to leave as soon as possible. Please do not ask why we must go, we just have to." Akemi looked at Aurora then Elena and started to head for her room. She went into her dresser drawers and grabbed some close and her journal. "You'll keep me company..." After staring blankly at the book she threw it in the bag and closed it. "I wish that I could take you, but that would be too much." She said looking at her violin.

Elena nodded to Aurora and headed for her chambers. She packed her most modest gowns and added two that were more formal. After that she grabbed her own journal and a couple books before throwing them in. She looked at her wall, there, hanging, was her father's sword. He'd been a knight for Akemi's father, and had died in a battle against an enemy land. Since then she'd pretty much been raised by Akemi's parents, even though she was not their daughter. She grabbed the sword. After that she slipped on her cloak, hiding the bag and the sword. She walked out of her room with her cloak hood up and made her way to Akemi's room. "Ready?" Her face was solemn and smileless. She waited in the doorway.

Aurora nodded in agreement to the two other girls, "I trust you know what you are doing Akemi." Aurora watched the other girls go into their rooms before going to hers. She closed and locked her door then the wall next to it turned over and it was all of her bodyguard tools. She walked to grabbed a couple of things off of the wall. This is a good one to protect Akemi...or maybe this one is better...yeah it's better. Her thoughts kept rolling on and on as she thought of nothing, but Akemi's safety. As much as she hated to admit it she was happy to leaving these empty walls. She grabbed some more clothes and stopped and sat on her bed. "Am I doing the right thing by letting her go out here, while a war is going on. She probably won't stay out too long, it's not like she will fall in love out there."
