Introduction
The king and queen have become tired of their wild daughter. They believed a suitor would help her to calm down a little. So they sent out for suitors, and the princess found out soon after. She went straight to them to complain, instead of just fuming like normal. After a long, heated argument, the king came up with a compromise. The princess had never wanted a prince that had no idea what he was doing, or one that couldn't figure out a good mystery, so they made a decision together.
The king gathered up the suitors as soon as they arrived, and told them the proposition, along with this simple fact: There is something in this family that has always had a tendacy of skipping many generations, and has made itself known through the princess. It affects something about her, so here's the proposition: Find out what this family secret is, and you will be chosen among the other suitors to marry the princess. There's a small catch; you must bring not only your theory, but reasoning for why you think that. Though you'd have to work hard to figure that one out.
The princess will not give out that secret to any of the prince's unless she believes them worthy of her; not an easy feat. If you're going to aim to get her to tell you, you had better get on her good side, first. Or you can try taking her out; try to find out by watching. Maybe you'll be able to see something. Or maybe even spying...though if she catches you watching her, and feels it is for more reason than to figure out the secret, you'll have to answer to her older brother. Oh, and he's one of the ones you can bring your theories to. You can also bring your theories to the king or queen. None of them will tell you the secret, though.

Rules
1) No godmodding.
2) You can make multiple characters, as long as you can keep up with all the characters you make.
3) If you want to be the king or queen that already know, just submit your character and if I accept it, I'll pm you the secret, so you can tell other characters whether or not they've hit the mark. (You can't tell them when they're close, either.)
4) Everyone can talk with each other, and exchange ideas, though understand that it might help more than just your character to do that.
5) Your character can be sneaky, and try to eavesdrop to figure it out, but there will be guards following the princess; those guards can't participate because they're at an unfair advantage; they can hear the princess talking to her friends and family.
6) You can play as a suitor but, as I said, there was no restriction as far as who could try to figure it out. So even a servant can try to figure out the secret, or even someone outside the castle, because she is very fond of sneaking out. (No, the fact that she sneaks out is not the secret.)
7) You can also play as a friend, but only hre closest friends can know the secret, and you have to let me know if you're trying to be one of the closest friends.
8) If there are any questions or problems that I think may be repeated, they may end up in the rules, so check back here every now and then to double-check whether or not I've added in any new ones.
9) That's all I can think of for the moment...so have fun!
10) ...Sorry guys, forgot to mention; medieval time period. No guns, no switchblades, only swords, bows, arrows, etc.
11) Hey...sorry again...but I think I might change a few of the rules above. First of all, I'm not entirely sure that even her closest friends should know, just in case...though there aren't really any friends as of yet aside from one. And I think I might have to allow the guards to participate, because I can't really see any reason for the princess to be talking about her secret loud enough for the guards to hear. So, if it's not too much trouble, please scratch those rules. Again, I'm sorry to change the rules now, but the idea didn't occur to me until recently.

Wasn't this just perfect? Stuck in my bedroom, and all because Daddy wouldn't let me walk outside. But life here was much too boring! I wanted adventure...I wanted new experiences...I wanted something outside these stone walls, outside this overprotected life. I sat up, and walked over to the small window. Odd, it seemed more like a prison window to me...though that was probably because I felt like I was trapped here. As usual, I had been dragged back from one of my adventures. But, if I supposed to stay a princess and ruling over these people, shouldn't I know their way of life?And if I wasn't, shouldn't I know how I'm supposed to live out there? Not that that part really bothered me...much. No, my problem was this: I wanted to explore! Why, if Daddy had said I could do anything I wanted, couldn't I leave for a little while? I wasn't allowed new experiences? I thought about kicking the wall, but decided against it. I didn't want to hurt my bare feet. I sat on the bed with a huff, pouting. What was wrong with being out there? I glanced back at the window. The warm summer day was mocking me, I swear, trying to lure me back outside, when Daddy had probably had guards to keep me in my room for a while. I sighed. Wasn't it supposed to be lunch time soon? I looked at the door. "How much longer does he expect me to stay here?" I shouted at whoever might be outside.

"Let me in guys." Noah said holding a silver platter. "Fine." They said and opened the door. He walked in and placed the tray on her bed. "Hello Princess." He said with his warming smile. On his tail was a little tea cup, in which Noah poured her a cup of tea. "How many lumps of sugar do you want Princess?" He asked politely.

I looked up; it was just Noah. I looked away. "Just a few...I don't know...two, I guess..." I answered, shaking my head. I was still pouting, and I didn't exactly want any tea...but I would need something to keep me alive; here in my own room! I stood up, irritated. "Why doesn't he just lock me up in the dungeons? That's probably where he'd like to keep me some days, anyway," I mumbled, leaning against a wall. I watched him pour tea into the cup on his tail. Why tea, anyway?I could have made do with water...but I didn't really care at that point; it would be something to hold me over until dinner. "And bringing those suitors here...probably all selfish fools, anyway." Not that I had actually spoken to any of them, or seen all of them, but I had spoken to one who I had ordered Dad not bring, and that did summarize him. So I had assumed that that was what they were all like. And I stuck to that.

"Now princess give them a chance." He said fully thinking that she wouldn't. Ever since they were children Noah had a huge crush on the princess, but knew that he was her servant and that would be wrong to even think about. "Here you are." He said while giving her the tea and lifting up the dome on the tray and exposing a beautifully made breakfast.

"Give them a chance? They all probably think this is some sort of game to waste their spare time; a game with me as a prize," I said, irritated. I looked at the tray of food, and sat back down. "Probably wouldn't matter to them; there are always other princesses. I don't even understand why they're here. They all know why Daddy wants a suitor for me." What could they possibly be trying to have me for? I was much too wild to bother with any of them, and would only end up staying in these habits; sneaking out, being disobedient, arguing, and everything else. "Not like they're going to make a difference; I'm still going to end up wandering around where they don't want me to; find my way into a forest...or just into some village filled with peasants. Something like that."

Outan walked slowly the guards standing aside. "You are dismissed... I wish a private word with the princess." the guards looked meekly at the large elf knowing full well they were caught between the king and the champion of the nation who was also the kings uncle. They reluctantly retreated to the barracks knowing full well they were trapped between a rock and a hard place. Outan knocked on the door as lightly as he could, though it sounded as if two men were pounding upon it with all their might. "My lady I wish a word with you." He drew out his large ring of keys and waited her answer.

I looked to the door as I heard a knock, and gave a sigh. With a shrug, I replied, "Yeah, come in." I glanced back at Noah. "What does he want now?" I asked, then started picking at the food Noah had brought. Another person being overprotective...wasn't I allowed any freedom? Or was I limited to whatever my family decided for me? Daddy, Bir Brother, and Daddy's uncle, too. It wasn't fair! ...Though he did help me out sometimes...well, a lot of the time, really. Still, I continued to pout; he probably already knew this irritated me, anyway; the fact that I had suitors trying to figure everything out just for me. Perfect, I thought sarcastically.

Outan unlocked the door entering the room with his large bulk. The elf was definitely eccentric in appearance large and bulky instead of lithe, his facial hair also was quite odd to see upon an elf. He looked at the servant. "Hello there, Now my lady I have something very important to tell you. some of the suitors are arriving soon as such you must be ready." He said shaking his finger towards her. "Now I have made sure that the hallways to the stables are clear of guards, my nephew won't know how you got out" the large elf chuckled. "Serves him right for locking up his daughter, my brother would be disappointed in him." he shook his head. "Though... before I let you go... you will stay with me the whole time. Times are getting a little dangerous, people are coming... and people lead to crime."
OOC Notes
I looked up at the ceiling. "Stay with you? But I can run fast enough; I can stay out of trouble on my own." What if I wanted to be out on my own? Besides, dealing with thieves and bandits sounded pretty interesting. I was so sure I could get away fast enough that it wouldn't matter. "There can't be too many people coming; how many princes are really going to come for a little trouble-maker like me? But I'm quite sure your brother would be at the very least a little irritated with me." Hardly the proper princess anyone had hoped for. ...But he was helping me out...again. "I guess I don't have a choice. Has Liadon been groomed already? I might ride him..." Liadon, my personal favorite among the horses.

Outan bowed "of coarse my lady I groomed Liadon myself, as no servant has the privilege to touch such a fine horse. I have also readied both our saddles... and if we get caught... we were going to greet your suitors as they arrived." he chuckled at the thought of how his nephew would respond to that. He began to walk out of the room. "let us be swift your friend may come with us if you wish but we have little time before the path becomes filled with guards." He walked slowly so they could catch up.

I shrugged. "Coming, Noah?" I asked, starting to follow, but pausing to eat a little more food. Then I followed him, thinking. The only one to help me out...well, the only bit of family, anyway. Noah would probably help if I told him to. ...Still...I had kinda wanted to go out on my own. "Is there going to be any point I'll be able to go out on my own? ...And I don't know that Daddy will believe that. He knows I'm about as happy with this as he is about me sneaking out of the castle." And if Big Brother caught us? He'd know right away what we were doing; convincing him was a little harder.

Outan smiled "well..." he handed her a small piece of metal, a key to her bedroom. "just remember you found it..." he tapped his chin. "I have an idea... you find you way to town while I distract your father and brother. Servant make sure she doesn't come to harm. I'll find you when I can." He handed her a map of the guard patrols. "don't lose that... your father will be very angry if that falls into the wrong hands. Burn it once your out of the castle and I will see you later my lady." He bowed before walking off.

I took the key, and glanced over the map; pretty useful. I folded it carefully as small as I could. I watched him walk away, and then glanced around. "Come on," I mumbled to Noah, and started walking towards the stables. I clenched the map tightly, thinking. Burn it? No, of course not. I was going to keep it. It was going to help me later on; maybe the next time I planned to sneak out...though I would be able to go alone then. And even he wouldn't know about it. And just remember I found it...I glanced at the key. Of course; I wander around all the time; what was the harm in me finding a key? Someone muct have dropped it, or something. Hoping I wouldn't run into my brother, I headed straight for the stables.

Kalarius whipped his chestnut steed as fast as he would go. He would miss the suitors arriving what if one of them tried something with Songrose?! Oh damn them all to hell if that happened! He would see that he would arrive in time! If it wasn't for that lovely lady at the bar earlier such a distraction women were! As he rode closer he squinted his blue eyes spotting his sister heading for the stables. Trying to make an escape...AGAIN! What was wrong with her she should just stay put! He pulled his horse to a slow walk as he approached her. "Just WHAT do you think you're doing my dear sister hm? Not sneaking out are you?"

"Ah..." I looked up at my brother. I glanced at the ground, and looked back up at him with the most innocent grin I could manage. "I was visiting Liadon; I thought he might like company...and I'm not entirely sure the servants are treating him the way I wanted." Well, at least it wasn't entirely a lie. I was visiting the horse; it was just that that visit was going to turn into a ride. "Why do you always assume I'm going to run off, Big Brother? Am I not allowed to visit my favorite horse? Surely you don't see a problem with me visiting my pet, do you?" Hopefully this would work...I hadn't tried it in a long time...it used to work...but it had been so long since I had tried. "At least I didn't come alone; see? Noah came with me," I added, pointing to the servant.

Kalarius rose his brow at the suspicious grin and even more so at her story. Come to see her horse hm? In any other circumstance he might have believed her but considering what today held he knew better than that. "Just going to see your horse are you? On a day when suitors you don't want are arranged to be arriving." Nods his head as if thinking this over while he dismounted. "You do realize I know what you're trying to do. Sister why even do this you're just going to complicate thing more." It was true yes he wanted his sister to calm down her wandering ways but the thought of men pouring here just for her. He almost couldn't stand it. The servant with her, Noah, he never liked him going places with her alone! It was improper! Plus he was a servant that just made it even more so! "You Noah, you're allowing her to do this hm?" He asked coming close to him.

"Hey...what do you mean, allowing me to do this? What say does a servant have against me? Unless, of course, Daddy says something to them beforehand...but Daddy hasn't said anything to Noah. He was just accompanying me, just in case." I watched him dismount; it didn't work. Why didn't it work anymore? ...Well...the fact that the suitors were supposed to be coming today didn't help...or the fact that everyone knew I didn't like this. "Big Brother...I don't like it. Why are they even bothering, anyway? No one's going to figure it out, and you know it. I don't even know why Dad agreed to it...it just means they aren't going to be able to guess, and that I'll still be on my own. I enjoy this, Brother. I like wandering around." And I hated being trapped in stone walls all the time.

He was touched how the princess tried to defend him. He was honored by this but had to take the fall for it. "No, Princess I let you do this and I was wrong for it, I must take my punishment." He said sorrowfully. He stepped forward and had his head bowed. His tail went limp and his ears went back.

Outan slammed the door making his arrival to the current confrontation between the prince and princess quite clear. He narrowed his eyes on each of the three be fore shouting "Kalarius! what is the meaning of this... if I remember right you are suppose to be studying, military genius doesn't run in the family you have to earn it." He looked princess and Noah "Now Liadon has been quite upset because of your neglect princess... I thought I made myself clear that you were to give that horse some quality time..." His eyes once more narrowed upon Kalarius "are you preventing your sister from performing her required duties? shoo go ready yourself for the visitors we can't have the prince all ruffled from riding can we!" The large elf brushed Kalarius’ shoulder “I hear your father has also planned a few ladies that may do you well… so you best not disappoint or disrespect our family understood?”

Kalarius was prepared to speak to his sister again until their great uncle slammed the door and he nearly jumped out of his skin. Oh no it's Outan he thought eyeing him as he walked over immediately shouting at him. He pulled back at the level of his voice and was almost ready to scamper off from his terrifying great uncle until he stopped. "Now just wait a minute Outan, Songrose already told me she was out to get away from her suitors. You're helping her again aren't you?" Was everyone in this kingdom mad?! How many people helped her out and let her into danger?! "The suitors will be here very soon she needs to prepare and Songrose I do understand I hate these men coming here as well. Maybe though you'll find one to your liking and they'll be able to figure out your secret." If she found a suitor she fancied perhaps it would help her running away maybe bring her more happiness. That's what he really wanted for his sister. He kissed her forehead gently "If you want a breath of fresh air PLEASE just hurry back alright. If not it's going to be my tail when the suitors are here and father is wondering where you're at you know." He was NOT a fan of her wandering off but if Outan was in on this he could be sure his sister would be safe.

I was confused at first, but soon realized that this might just be another way he was helping me. But I had already said something. ...Wait a mintue, I thought as he kissed my forehead. "I never said I was running off; just that I don't like it," I said, frowning a little. "I only said I didn't like the fact that Daddy was bringing in suitors...not that I was trying to get away..." That was what I had said...right? ...Yeah...that was all I had said. "And it wouldn't be on your tail; I'll just get locked up in my room until they arrive. If I was going to be sneaking out; which I never directly said I was going to do. I am here to visit Liadon." I edged a step away. "And I'm going to visit him now," I added, turning to walk into the stable. Liadon probably needed exercise, anyway.

Chris was resting lazily under the shade of the tree he had been ordered to patrol the area around the stables. He listened in hearing the hoof beats of a horse stampeded into the area. Opening a single eye he caught a glimpse of Prince Kalarius and Princess Songrose speaking about something. Obviously he had caught her trying to escape again. “Good. Maybe I won't have to go chasing after her again.” he thought closing his eyes once again. Soon he was prompted to look again as familiar stomping footsteps and booming voice came from the same direction. “Great it's Ser Balzimar so much for getting some rest and relaxation.” he thought with a sigh seeing the Princess running off to the stables her servant Noah or something following not far behind. “How long before they tell me to go get retrieve her.” he wondered as he heard the horses getting bothered by the presence of someone in the stables. “Might as well get all the rest I can.” he whispered to himself closing his eyes and resting his head against the bark of the tree.

Outan sighed "well... I have to get ready for a funeral... Songrose am sorry about your freedom we knew it well. Also... your father said you two need to be ready... our... g...gu..gue....guests....." Outan coughed deeply feigning illness from saying the word. "Well... I have to find something that fits me... and doesn't make me look like these feminine nobles..." The giant of a man turned "oh and am still quite sure about your father having some ladies coming for you my prince... so go get ready. The lord forbid we wear our warrior pride to a festival..." He stopped “I think there may be trouble… be careful…” he said in a undertone to prince Kalarius. He then marched back into the castle his hand on his Nightmare Slayer’s hilt.
Belzalus descended from his carriage two heavily cloaked figures on either side of him he quietly walked into the castle he smiled his plan would soon begin. His minions were ready… if all seven were defeated he would know this was not worth it. Though as long as he remained in a host he was immortal.

Kalarius sighed as his sister walked away so subborn she was. However that's what made Songrose herself, he turned looking at Outan as he spoke giving a smirk at the joke of the funeral. "Outan there is absolutely no way you could look feminine even if you put a wig and dress on." He chuckled at the image. "Ah ladies how wonderful I'll certainly go get myself straightened up then." His smile quickly left his face though when Outan spoke of trouble. He wanted to call to his great uncle to wait but he was long gone. Trouble? What kind of trouble? He quickly hurried to the castle to prepare himself and keep on guard for this...trouble. Getting another thought he hurried back out looking around until he spotted Chris lazing about. Ah as usual he thought hurrying up to him. "There you are, I need you to keep an eye on Songrose. Let her have her air but make sure no harm comes to her and for God sakes make sure she gets back on time!" With that he was quickly off back to the castle.

I grabbed Liadon's reigns, and led her out of her stall. "Come on, Liadon. We're going for a ride," I murmured to her, gently coaxing her out of her stall. I glanced back at Noah. "Just make sure to grab a good-tempered one; can't have you getting thrown off, now, can we?" I turned back to Liadon, and put her sadle on. After leading Liadon out of the stables, she climbed on her back. "Let's get going, then," she said, digging her heels into her sides to have her moving. She walked the horse, but soon enough had her running. Feeling pleased with herself, and the fact that her great uncle had decided not to follow after all, she started towards her favorite spot.

Ja then we can figure out what were doing as well.. which probably is why no one is posting, we have no idea what was last said before the werewolf came and then when on hiatus. So at the very least -we- can post again. Also people might join which is an additional plus so I do believe a new thread for the RP will be a benefit.

Maybe we should start a new thread now that the rather violent demons are vanquished. That way we can see if we can get this more lively with out blood thirsty demons. That also puts us all on the same page on what were doing now that werewolf man started a conversation and left OOC in the middle of it.
