Introduction
The ancient lands the kingdom was founded upon contain a dark history where wars of elementals, dragons, and all living things collided. Many adventurers come upon small temples and shrines giving glimpses of the past. Worshiping strange gods and even the elementals, all seeking atonement, forgiveness, or even power. As time went on a very peculiar ritual was discovered, the power to control the elementals... With such power one could easily conquer the kingdom of Runefaust, any other kingdom, and possibly even the other planes.
The ritual is not so simple though. It requires much preparation and unvieling of ancient magics. It was with the revelation of one such magic that caught the attention of Kalkahnor. He felt the disturbance and quickly found the shrine where the ritual was detailed. Knowing that such power existed and that someone somewhere was seeking to unlock it, he knew that he must act. But with ancient magics that would source from elementals he would need help. Even being a skilled sorcerer he would not be able to overcome a primal elemental should even one stand in his way. He quickly sent out a plea for help, offering wealth of any sort to try and bring out the most powerful of allies...
He awaits them at the Coughing Raven...
Rules
We ask that when it becomes available for others to join, that you have a character with depth as well. We want more than just "because everyone needs this" or "A dark past shrouded in shadow with a mysterious persona."
No god modded characters. We aren't saying make your character die. Make your character believably challenged. We shouldn't have to wait until we get to a climactic fight for you to make more than a few sword swings to show you are being challenged. Having items that solve every problem is hardly any fun either.
Work WITH us. The only way to be truly immersed is to interact with the players. The story has its villians already. And going around destroying someone else's work is just plain rude. You don't have to be good. You just have to be able to justify your acts, or make yourself seem invaluable (such as having saved someone, or have skills that others don't)
As a side note, this roleplay is heavily referenced from Dungeons and Dragons. Picking up a few books or downloading some of them will prove useful in seeing some of the creatures that we present. As all of us are pretty savvy when it comes to that knowledge base, we don't find it necessary to describe every small detail of the creatures.

"Find him, kill anyone who stands in your way. Those are your orders." Said a stern growling voice. "But try not to indulge in your gluttony from the innocents. We'll be paid more for his head."
"Fon oo' ser?" said a rather dullish voice. People continued to scatter away from the pub.
A leg stepped in front of the door crack. Kalkahnor beheld a man dressed in thick leather with plaes of metal shoved in at various points. He backed away slowly with his spell at the ready listening closely. The voice growled, "Kalkahnor."
"Eglest-hem isil" Kalkahnor bellowed and a bright light shot from his hand and made impact with door causing it to explode. The shade of bodies being knocked over was all that Kalkahnor could make out. Kalkahnor turned on his heel and yelled over the mayhem arousing the pub. "Jeth! You and the others get to the north gate of town. We have to leave now!" Kalkahnor made his way up the stairs and through one of the windows. Kalkahnor gazed at the beautiful sight before him, rooftops glistening in the sun and the great castle before him casting its shadow among the city. He looked down and saw the men getting up and grabbing their things. He would have to move fast. I hope the others can handle themselves. Kalkahnor laughed at his own thought. At worst... They've got Jetharius.
OOC Notes
Lan'de puffed his feathers, turned his head impatiently and confused. She gave Lan'de a "follow me" head gesture and whispered "Iar-col" (up high). The eagle shot into the sky in an instant and Sephora grasped her perched-staff that detached from the ground and transformed into it's normal form as she carefully walked and looked around the corner and saw the damage Kalkahnor had done to the men...
OOC Notes
The mercenary on the far right thinking himself at an advantage rushes into Jetharius's unarmed flank, charging blade first. Deftly, Jetharius blocks the blade away and grabs the man by his tunic and tosses him into the center of the arc of oncoming blades. The mercenaries surround him and Jetharius parries twice and dodges once and executes a counterattack arcing his blade low hamstringing five of them. As the closest group falls to the ground Jetharius back peddles and sunders two reaching spears into harmless poles. Killing them would be so much easier, alas incapacitating their leader should resolve this Jehtarius thinks and makes a running leap some fifteen feet behind the burly and slightly scorched leather-clad human. Jetharius cocks his main hand back and with the full force of his draconic strength, smashes the 'boss' in the jaw. Jetharius feels the human jaw give way and shatter as his fist follows through and sends the human nearly a foot in the air and five feet back. The disguised dragon dismisses Aesthier in a burst of flame and turns away with a billow of his cloak walking toward then past the observing nymph.
"Shall we Sephora or do you think the Lasher will have a hard time keeping pace?" Jetharius says, looking back with a wink.

...
She quickly regains her composure. "..yes, let us." and smiled warmly.
OOC Notes
'ok then'
*he turns to the crowd of mercenaries and picks out the apparent leader and points at him* 'i call dibs' he says before pulling his old whip-dagger and turning his head to the side, sending out his senses for any demonic influence in the area, and appearing disappointed when he doesn't find any. with a crack of his neck, Red cracks out his whip to stick in the window frame and pulls on it, launching himself towards it with a grin, whirling in a circle he pulls his second whip out and corckscrews out the window, shattering the glass and lands outside the building amidst the crowd of mercenaries and giggling slightly at their apparent shock, the celestial sigils along his cloak begins swirling more quickly as Red intones in a deep voice 'one chance to leave and your lives will be spared, stay and i am not responsible for what happens to you' giving the mercenaries one second to decide what to do Red readies himself with both whips and begins chanting his mantra
'to defend what is good and destroy the evil manipulators, to stand in defense of the natural order of the world, to sacrifice ones life in defense of this ideal, to forever keep vigil against the creeping evil of demons and their kin, I AM THE END OF ALL YOU KNOW!' Red cracks his whips and roars
OOC Notes
Kalkahnor back away from the edge of the building and started running to the next roof. Using a spell to amplify his speed and dexterity he gracefully leapt from one rooftop to the next, being careful to not make noise or attract too much attention as he made passes. He used hanging clothes, flags, anything that he could to minimize his visibility when crossing. He drew close to the north gate of town. Staying out of sight he dropped down into a small alley.
He gazed around, keeping himself in the shadows, seeing people moving from one merchant stand to another purchasing items of craft or decoration. A low growl of commotion filled the air with talk of gossip and politics. Kalkahnor peered about before ensuring no one was armed or seemed affiliated with his would-be attackers. Throwing his hood over his head he moved into the crowd making his way to a merchant stand near the north gate. The merchant began to try and sell him figurines of some sort. The man blathered on but Kalkahnor's attention was elsewhere. His eyes flitted about the gate guards and the horse stalls, but something seemed off.
Kalkahnor felt his stomach drop. There was no Caravan. Damn! We may need to foot our way through this.
OOC Notes
'Hey! where are you going? there are still people to fight!' Red shouts
'To the north gate, there's no point in fighting further, with their leader defeated the mercenaries no longer have the will to fight' Jeth replies over his shoulder
*Red frowns* 'But how is that fun?' he shouts again before jogging a bit to catch up with the pair 'I said my fighting mantra and everything, now i just look silly, and not the fun kind of silly the sad kind where people avoid eye contact.'
*pouting slightly, Red walks along with Jetharius and Sephora, silently hoping to face stronger opponents so he can see how his newest allies act in an actual fight*

OOC Notes
Jetharius wades through the town leisurely and without noticeable care with his hood drawn and Sephora padding along next to him. He makes his way to toward the North Gate and where he would rendezvous with Kalkahnor.
OOC Notes
"...odd.." Sephora thought.
Lan'de kept flight and spotted Kalkahnor ready to follow his next move...

my users on there is Kay, Axel Dahn, and Kei Dibble. but that is a sample of some of my work. while some of my pm's will have spelling issues i do use word document in all of my posts before posting. ;) your RP sounds very exciting and i have read a bit of it so far. i am currently unable to see the very 1st posts of the RP for some reason due to some internet quirks.
my submitted character is called Karaglen.

I changed my post on the forum. Sephora is seeking Kalkahnor from information she got from the outside through unexpected means. (hehe)
I'll get better at this I promise. lol

Kalkahnor wrote:I'm hoping to get this kicking real soon. Since everyone who is supposed to be playing has part time jobs and some don't have any school.... I dont see why we would have problems with posting. Or making characters by now for that matter... *cough*
That's what I would call poor time management.
But if they want to be a part of this they better get their rear in gear, otherwise you might want to look into new players? :/
As for the intros, we can move them to a different section later. On a side note, the intros are a good for while we're waiting for all the players.
And also I suggest we make a thorough and organized description about certain cultural aspects of a place that people might not know, either Runefaust or other places within the roleplay.
For example, the currency. What is the currency of Runefaust? What do people usually do? Population info? Stuff like that. I mean we can all assume the normalcies from generic D&D, but the OTHER details will help people fall into the play setting better. If someone was planning on this already, thanks & awesome! I'll be happy to see it be implemented.
Again, while it's good to be freestyle, it's also better to be a little more organized for a better roleplay experience and everyone can enjoy themselves and not have to worry if someone might have a qualm. (thank goodness for "edit")
Cheers~

The thread owner intends to keep this RP a private function for the time being. i.e. only accepting requests from people of a long lost RP in the ages of high school some 4 years ago. We decided to resurrect it here, once we have the complete team reassembled then it may open up to others. But again, I don't own the thread so... Its all up to Crack-anor. Sorry Cypher 8(
