Several years have passed since the events following the Great Uprising. The island known as Lost Grounds has become mainly just that, an island, as it has been years since anyone born there showed signs of being an Alter user. With this occuring, HOLD began doing more research on what might have caused this. HOLY was basically shut down for years, as there was no need for Alter users to be sent out to the Lost Ground to capture other Alter users. A few years pass and they have nothing, but a sudden break though gives them some insight into what actually caused the Great Uprising in the first place, and so they decide to set up a new facility, somewhere untainted by the recent events, and begin a new set of experiments.

This new facility is set up in North America, to be more exact, somewhere in California, on the west coast. Once things are in place the experiments begin. At first none succeed, but eventually they see small results. With one of these experiments they caught a glimpse into The Light, the alternate world from which the Alters came. When the man in charge of the new HOLD facility hears that funding will be cut and the facility will be shut down if nothing definitive is found soon, he decides to try something radical. Seemingly in a fit of madness he attempts to open a wormhole to The Light with a massive amount of energy...

The result is dubbed The Second Great Uprising, or The Quake. An explosion wracks the west coast, and a large chunk of California is sent out to sea, becoming a new Lost Ground. At first the people who survived the Quake seemed unaffected, and so the new HOLD was almost shut down, but then, with the birth of a single child, it was clear that the experiment had given birth to a new generation of Alter users. The children who were born and exibited Alter abilities were taken, along with their families, to the new HOLD facility.

HOLD has been attempting to cover up what has happened, and for the most part it has worked over the last 25 years, however not all of the children with abilities have been captured, and so the one that were have been raised to go out and capture them, however, on the first mission were the new recruits of HOLY were let out to find and capture other Alter users, some of them never returned, and it is feared that they will attempt to spread the word to the Mainland about what has really happened on the new island.

So, basically several years have passed since the events of the original s-CRY-ed story. A new event has caused there to be more Alter users born on an island off the west coast of North America. Many of them were captured as children and raised by HOLY, while some were never captured and grew up on the island, where normal humans usually feared and shunned them. When those children who were captured grow up, they are sent out to hunt down others like them, however some never return to HOLD and are concidered enemies.

What side will you choose?

Native Alter- a person with Alter abilities who grew up on the new Lost Ground
HOLY Member- an Alter working for HOLD as a member of their subgroup
Enemy Alter- one of the ones who escaped from HOLY
Normal Human- just a normal person who knows about all that's going on and probably grew up on the Lost Ground

You can leave personality blank and allow it to show in the rp, for Background, it doesn't have to be long, just explain how you came to stand on which ever side you now stand on, and so on. As far as stages go, most people will only be allowed up to Stage 2, and the max is Stage 3, and as far as that goes mostly on member of, or former members of, HOLY would have Stage 2 in the begining of the RP
