Introduction
This is a one-on-one with sweetgal.
He was diagnosed with a mysterious disease without a cure five years ago and his parents dumped him into a hospital where he believed he would rot away for the rest of his life. Somewhere deep down, he had hopes and dreams to become someone, but all that soon disappeared. Now he only has one more week left to live, an empty shell as he waits for his demise.
But then she comes in. She wasn't one to get into other people's business, but when she saw him looking out the window with that expression, she couldn't help but feel the need to help him.
And so, before the sun rose on the first day of that last week, she snuck into the hospital . . . .

Serena had no idea that sneaking into hospitals was this easy. She just walked on through the door, acting all 'Mission: Impossible', but when a nurse caught her creeping around, she just shrugged her off and muttered, "Kids these days..." Then when she was going to sneak up on the front desk lady and gain control of the computer to find out where exactly his room was, she was just told to, "Buzz off, kid. He's over there in that room." It was settled. She was definitely never coming to this hospital ever again (especially if she was mortally wounded... Some guy could just crawl through the window, take advantage of her, and no one would know!)
But what about that boy? The whole reason why she was even there as early as she was in the first place? If she was stuck in a place like this, with uncaring nurses and all of that, she'd probably just be as miserable. But she knew that probably wasn't the reason why he had looked like he had when she was passing by to her aunt's hospital room. It was like he had given up. And she definitely did not like that. But what if her help wasn't appreciated? Serena shook the thought off. She had already come this far, and it was much too late to go back now, as she was nearing his room. And then she found herself in front of it, hand shakily reaching for the door handle. She tried to quietly open the door, but of course, her luck was a load of crap and it started to creak. She was a little surprised, and jumped a bit and immediately stopped trying to open the door. She took a deep breath and continued to pull, wincing at the high-pitched noise it made.

Chad was sitting on the edge of his bed, looking out the window as people passed by with their families with smiles plastered on their face, Chad frowned at the sight he had lived a bitter life for a while now without his family and even the hint of being happy made him irritated. Chad leaned over to his pillow pulling out a sketchpad and pencil, as he tapped the pencil on the sketchpad for a while thinking what to do draw he thought about what the doctors had told him a few days ago, about him not being able to live any longer than a week. He gritted his teeth, then opened the sketchpad as he began to draw what was happening outside but with a gloomier side to it. Art was one way he could get his emotions out, there was no one to talk to except for those nurses and doctors who don't really bother about him much, seeing as he was about to die they really didn't care.
Chad was just finishing off the drawing, when he heard something he frowned wondering who or what it was seeing as the nurses and doctors didn't tend to check up on patients during early morning. Chad left the sketchpad opened on the bed as he slowly got up dressed in a hospital gown, to make his way to the door. Chad stopped behind it as the person on the other side pulled it open. Chad was just about to close the door not wanting anyone in his room, when he noticed a timid brunette standing on the other side he looked at her transfixed for a while. Then pulled his hair off his eye, to get a better look he hadn't had a visitor in a long time and he wasn't able to recognize her. "What are you doing?" he asked in a confident tone.

Serena almost had a heart attack when he came to the door. She checked his hands... it didn't look like he had any weapons. That was good. That at least meant she had a little more time before he started threatening her with bodily harm. She looked up and noticed him staring at her, to which she quickly looked away. Wow, he is a lot cuter now that I've had a good look at him--whoa, now. Calm down. Back to the situation at hand, Serena thought before taking a deep breath and shoving her shy ways out the door, giving him a wide grin. "I've come to break you out of here!" she replied, cheerfully.
Did that sound too weird? He'd probably think she was a few screws loose, right? Ugh, why did she have to screw things up so much? Her grin waned a little, but she mentally berated herself to keep it going. If she was going to have her face slammed in by a door, she should at least do it with some dignity left....

Chad watched on at the girl, shuffled around nervously he gave her a confused look trying to figure out what she was doing. As she met his gaze, he felt a bit awkward then looked down at the floor as he looked her over She's pretty cute he thought to himself then shook the thoughts away. Chad didn't know if she was some stalker, slightly mental or maybe even a new patient, but for some reason she didn't look like the type to harm in. As she replied with a wide grin, Chad looked a little taken aback wondering what her intentions were. Though when she did speak he found himself laughing for once in a long time, then he noticed nurses passing by looking at the two. He held her arm slightly pulling her into the room, then let go of her "You want to break me out of here?" he asked making sense of her words. "Why would you do that?" he asked this time with a curious face.
It astounded him to how a stranger had actually cared enough to try and get him out of here, and his family or friends didn't even call to check how he was. Chad debated over the fact if she was joking around or actually being serious, he had always dreamed of getting out of here to do what he wanted but now when he was getting the chance he wasn't exactly sure. He only had a week left, it wouldn't make a difference in fact going back into the outside world would increase his depression.

Serena wasn't quite sure how to take his laugh. Was it a good sign or bad one? But she did know for sure she only started to like him more when he did. I-in a friendly way of course... she reminded herself, blushing at the thought. It was definitely a huge improvement from when she had first seen him, and besides...it sounded pretty nice. Then she felt his hand on her arm, and paled as he pulled her into the room. Oh, dear holy Lord above, I'm dead! She was readying herself for pain, but was surprised to see he hadn't done anything but ask her a question. She let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding, then quirked the corner of her mouth in a smile.
"Why? I just didn't like your face--Oh wait, I mean, it's not like I don't like your face, it's just I really do and--" Her eyes widened as she realized what she had said and clamped a hand over her mouth, waving her hand to try and wave that off. Her face was very red. "Wait, wait, scratch that! That came out wrong!" She closed her eyes, took a deep breath then said, "I just don't like seeing people so down, and I really don't blame you, since the staff here really suck," she giggled then sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck. "So, um, yeah. I think you need a nice little break from this place. Of course, only if you want to. . . ." she trailed off, shyly looking to the side and awaiting an answer.

Chad looked on at her sheepish face as he had dragged her into room, wondering if he had scared her though it should've been the other way around. Chad couldn't help smirk seeing her blush, but shook it off none of those things mattered to him anymore he only had a while to live so there was no point in getting all excited over a girl. He noticed her breath a sigh of relief, and looked at her with confusion not being able to tell what type of girl she was though he seemed to wanted to know her more.
Chad raised his eyebrows at what she was saying, then when she mentioned liking his face he laughed once again watching as she tried to re-do his mistake for some reason she was actually making his mood brighter or it may be the fact he hadn't had a visitor in a long time. "Hey it's all right if you find me attractive" he said looking back at her being slightly cocky but somehow he felt he could be the old Chad around her. As she continued to speak he listened intently then shrugged "Really no point I only have a week to live" he said as a wave of depression washed over him. Chad walked away from her back to his bed as he played around with the sketchbook left on his bed.

Serena smiled at his laugh again. He wasn't hostile from what she could tell. That would probably not end up very well for her. But, she still perked up at the sound of his laughter and at least thought she could make him laugh. Her face turned a little redder when he had said it was all right for her to find him attractive, and she mentally face-palmed herself for having said that in the first place. But her small smile turned into a frown as he told her there was no point, as he only had one week to live. Then she watched him as he went back to his bed and toy with the sketchbook.
"What? No point? I would think that that would only make me want to get out more," she said, following after him, stopping at the side of his bed and furrowing her brow in confusion and worry. "Don't you want to have the best last week of your life? Leave this world with no regrets?" She said, innocently. It puzzled her. Why wouldn't he want to fulfill his life goals before he died...?

Chad stared at her for a while, trying to figure out why she really wanted him to get out from here. He shrugged "You really think I can do everything I want in just a week?" he said with a stone expression "One week won't make a difference, I'm a no-one and most probably will die as a no-one. Chad had wished for this day, when he could get out of here but now he really couldn't see the point, all those dreams he had couldn't possibly be completed in just a week.
Chad got up and stood away from her, and flicked his fringe away from his eyes once more he really needed a haircut. He sighed and said "Fine it's not like I have anything lose" and that was it, he finally agreed. Now he could really see if he could really fulfill his dreams, actually be someone.

"You really think I can do everything I want in just a week?" Serena nodded, knowing that she would do her best but she was definitely not liking his expression. Things were really looking dark for her admittedly not very well thought-out plan. Especially when he mentioned he was "no-one." That couldn't be true. He obviously had a life outside, didn't he? With his great looks, he could probably charm anyone. And he seemed nice enough....
But then he agreed, and that brought a very large grin to her face. She was consumed by her happiness, and instantly hugged him. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! You won't be sorry, trust me!" After five seconds however, she realized what she had done and jumped away quickly. "Sorry, about that..." she blushed, then peeked outside of the door. The coast was clear, and she didn't want to waste time. "Alright, let's blow this popsicle stand!"

Chad stood in the same spot, thinking over his decision was he really prepared to do this? And it wasn't like he had anything to lose but what worried him the most was what if he managed to die before he actually got to do what he wanted, the doctors had said there would only be minor signs of death and Chad couldn't remember if he knew all of them.
He jumped a little when she hugged him, for a second he put one arm around her then let it drop "Better not be" he said in reply to her extremism to the thank you's. Chad smirked when she pulled away and blushed, there was just something about her that seemed to make his mood much lighter. He watched as she looked out the door and turned back to him he shook his head "Not like this we're not" he said looking down at his clothes. Chad reached out underneath the bed for a few spare clothes and a shoulder bag, he put away the sketchbook and pencils into the bag and picked out an outfit. Just as he was about to lift up his shirt, he noticed she was still there. He smirked once more, then held her by the shoulders making her face the door then lead her out as he whispered "Give me a minute" then turned back as he locked the door, not worrying about the windows as he got dressed in blue washed out jeans and a checkered black top.

Serena was a little puzzled when he had said he couldn't go out quite yet. Then she realized he obviously couldn't go out in a hospital gown, now could he? Her eyes widened when he started to lift his shirt. She was so shocked, she couldn't move, and could only blush a very deep red. Look away, Serena! Look away! she mentally berated herself, before he actually noticed she was still standing there. Oh no, he probably thinks I'm some weird pervert, now! She gulped as he put his hands on her shoulders, turned her away from him and led her out of the room. Then he had to go and whisper something to her and make her blush more.
She combed through her hair nervously and waited for him to finish changing. So far so good. He had at least agreed to letting her break him out. Now she just had to think of somewhere to take him afterwards. And that was where she was stuck. She really hadn't thought this out, had she? She'd just ask him. That's what she'd do. Serena thought, before knocking on the door. "Are you ready?"

Chad laughed to himself as he looked down at his clothes, it had been years he had finally wore normal clothes, he noticed that most of his clothes were loose on him, he rolled up his sleeves half tucked his shirt in and then ran is fingers through his hair. He smirked as she called out to him, he put on his bag and made his way to the door slowly opening it.
"Chad Lawford" he said outstretching his hand, with a slight smile. He put his hands on his pockets flicking his fringe away from his face now a bit more confident "This better?" he asked slightly cocky but that came with reason. Now all he had to do was see what the future held for him.

Serena smiled as he came out, looking all nice and handsome--Ugh! Why was she still thinking about this still?! Moving on... She shook his hand, and said, "Morris. Serena Morris. My first name's Serena, not Morris." She slapped her forehead for sounding stupid, then mumbled a "Sorry, you probably knew that..." When he asked her if it was better, she quickly nodded with a grin.
"Yep! If you're ready, let's go!" She said, grabbing his hand and running like the wind out of that hospital. Phase 1 Completed. Onto Phase 2: Find something to actually do... she thought to herself, as they neared the entrance. She quickly pushed all the way through the doors and found that the sun was just rising. "Alright! Now that you're out of here, do you have anything that you want to do right now?" she asked, turning to him and rocking on her heels.

Chad returned her smile, as she shook his hand. When she continued to talk, a small smirk came to his face, noticing her uneasiness around him "Thank you though for telling me which is your first name" he said looking back at her.
"W-haa-" he managed to say, before she grabbed his hand and literally dragged him out of the hospital. Chad hadn't ran that much time in a long time, it reminded him of the days when they were on the football teach and the coach made them do three rounds for a warm up. He held the door open, as he walked through just to see the sun rise up, he flinched from the bright light then looked back at her. "Wait your saying, you brought me out here with no plan what-so-ever now that's what I call organized" he said with sarcasm knowing it probably wasn't the right thing to say "I've forgotten but have they got a park around here?" he asked. even though he hadn't forgotten he was sort of trying to be nice.
