She's the boss...
Everything... she's deadly
Tony listened intently of another life. It was a beautiful life and he had no problem believing it belonged to Maya. He could see it in her eyes, the longing she had for the place. "It sounds... like a completely other world. I wish I could see it sometime."
He pulled up to a large building, maybe 30 floors high. Or larger even. He parked his car and made his way into the building. The elevator ride to the 15th floor seemed never ending and he wasn't surprised to see Savaya with her arms crossed over her chest as she sit in her office. "You're late."
"Yeah..." Cam trailed off, but said nothing.
"What's wrong?" She stood from her seat behind her desk and stepped towards him. She rested a hand on his shoulder.
"Nothing. You called me here early. Why?"
"Uh... and I'll just have a burger, medium rare." His brown eyes found Maya's. "What's so special here?" He asked
"Because you have a new target," Savaya said, her eyes casting down for a split second and then a smile appearing on her face. "Here," she handed him a few files. "Anthony Shire is no longer a concern. He's taken care of. You need to find and kill Charlie Beckette. And that's all."
"And where will I find him?" Cam asked.
"Oh... home. Charlie works morning shift and should be home at around 7:30. The house is at 22 and Bleaker street. Town house 376." Cam nodded and before he could turn to exit, Savaya grabbed his shoulder.
"Don't disappoint, Cam. Remember what I can take from you."
"Oh, you don't have to remind me," he whispered as he continued on his way without turning.
Cam awoke to his phone buzzing. He jumped up and looked to it, falling back down on his pillow as he saw the name on the tiny screen. "Yeah?" He asked, regretting ever answering the phone.
"I've sent over a file. Look at it. Meet me at that little hotspot in town afterwards..." Savaya's voice chimed through the phone.
"Sure thing." He hung up the phone and stepped to his dresser, getting out an appropriate suit. "Shit," he whispered under his breath.
(so tired that I'm skipping detail)
Savaya made a huge entrance, then again she always did. She stepped into the bar, two strong gorgeous men on either side of her. A crowd cleared as she entered the bar as if they knew the power she held. She stepped up to the bar and waited for a hostess of some sort.
Heading back to the bar after a dirty deed felt good to Cam. He just wanted some alcohol in him so he could forget. He saw Savayas car pulled to the side of the road. It was crazy how good of parking she got. Then again, she had connections.
"Yes," Savaya's dark eyes looked up to Ria and Tai, her deep red lips pulling into an easy, but veiled smile. "Is there a private room that I may have to myself and guests?" She lifted a delicate hand in the air, signifying the room itself.
"Perfect," Savaya nodded. The guards followed along side her. One might mistake her for a royal, or a celebrity, but with more grace. Her eyes however, spoke of something more evil.
"Thank you. Tip her generously," she nodded towards the guards. The men nodded and handed Inu a roll of cash, easily $150.
Cam felt a little uneasy at the entrance of the club. He dreaded meetings with Savaya, especially when there involved alcohol.
Cam opened the doors to the bar, his eyes scanning the room. He stepped up to the bar, waiting for assistance. There was no doubt in his mind that the staff had overlooked Savaya. Before he could ask, a large-armed man descended down the stairs, no doubt one of Savaya's handymen.
"You know, in a crowd like this, you almost don't stand out at all," Cam smiled. The handyman kept his face cold and serious.
"Follow me." On the way up the stairs, Cam caught sight of the bartender he had seen earlier. He winked at her as he passed by.
"Cameron," Savaya smiled, "It's about time you've arrived. Please, take a seat." Cam did as he was told. He sat as far away from Savaya as he could manage. "Leave us for now," Savaya announced to her guards. They nodded and disappeared somewhere in the crowds below, but Cam could still feel their obedient stares.
"So, it isn't every day you ask to see me after a call," Cam pushed. Savaya nodded.
"Yes, well, I've been meaning to discuss a few matters with you."
"Sounds time consuming."
Savaya's red lips curled in a sour, but sweet smile that sent chills up Cam's neck that he ignored completely. He even kept an even smile himself. Cam was no stranger to Savaya's sick games and he could see one forming in her mind's eye at that very moment. "I have a task for you. It'll be risky and may cause for some... alterations."
"I'm listening," Cam nodded as he downed a small glass of expensive vodka. It was, in his opinion, the best thing about these little meetings with Savaya.
"His name is Miles." She slides a folder across the table to Cam. He picks it up, glancing at a photo of a brawny dark skinned man. He looked harmless, but then again so had all of his other targets.
"And he did what?" Cam pressed, raising his eyebrows at Savaya. "Wait, I know. Explosives against the IRA, right? He slept with some millionaire's trophy wife?"
"No, actually, he killed his wife...,"
Cam froze, his mouth have opened. So this was Savaya's idea of a sick joke. It wasn't like he hadn't expected it. A smile remained on Savaya's face. "Right in front of his stepdaughter daughter, Chelle." She slides another photo of a beautiful young women maybe in her early 20's. "She's paying 3.5 million for this to be taken out in secrecy. So, stay hidden."
"Alright, and where does daddy live?"
"At the top floor of Sunco suites. Do you know it?"
"I think so."
"Good." A smile comes onto savaya's face and she lays back a little, letting her arms rest on the couch behind her. "You have my trust, Cameron. Keep it up and you might find yourself in a higher standing position."
Cam nods and stands up. Before he can turn he hears Savaya calling his name. "Yes?"
"And I want you to meet me at my condo Saturday night."
"Right." She smiles again and Cam is thankful that he is able to descend the stairs before she can ask one more thing of him. All he feels now is the sweet buzzing sensation that echo's in his head and he wants more.
After getting upstairs to his room, Cam waited a moment before calling Savaya back. She answered after the 2nd ring. "You kept me waiting," her voice was dark.
"I was busy."
"Business comes first and that means so do I," Savaya whispered. There was silence for a few moments. "Cameron... you do know that you're mine, right?"
"In what way?" Cam asked.
"In every way. I just wanted to make that clear." With that the line went dead.
