Ability:Hyalokinesis (Glass Manipulation)

Description: Stephanos comes from a line of fine Glass Manipulators. He is of greek descent, with slightly tanned skin and stands at about six feet tall. Stephanos began to acknowledge his potential at a ripe age of 10, taking on the skill head on. By the time he was around 14 he had already mastered the skill to a point that was equivalent to someone who was practicing the skill 30 years. His major progress got him recognized in greece and became a well known person in his town. His parents soon heard of Silhouette Institution located in France, is a school that is so far advanced that they only contact a select few every year to help them train and enhance their abilities. Stephanos felt honored for the recognition and coming next year he would be attending this institution.

2 years passed and he gained an honorable title of being promoted to Medial status where he can presume his studies at a much higher and faster pace. Stephanos is very determined to one day be in the superlative class, but to achieve that status in the ranks, he has far too much to go before that happens, even with his current skills.

Ability Info: Being the highly skilled Hyalokinesis user, Stephanos is able to do so much more that he surpassed his parents. Knowing that glass is very fragile, stephanos mastered durability, making his glass as hard as steel. He is also able to cast a protective aura around him during conflict made out of glass. This protective barrier is constantly on him in case someone were to attack him suddenly. Stephanos aims to achieve three technieques that will prove that he is at a superlative level. He hopes to study enough that he will be able to make identical glass clones of himself, to teleport through glass objects instantly, and to learn to make his own body into glass for even more protective self defense.

Likes: Hard working people / Pineapple / Making Glass Figurines / Tennis / Sense of Achievement

Dislikes: People that earn recognition without earning it / Failing / Feeling lesser than someone else / Being Nude

He also fears that someone will find out that he gets a lot of energy from eating Pineapples. It weakens his abilities a bit.

Weakness of Ability:
*Fire is probably the biggest weakness for Stephanos and his Glass ability
*If Stephanos doesn't eat Pineapple for a full 24 hours, his abilities weaken a bit.

Current Abilities Stephanos can Perform:
*Make Glass Strong as Steel
*Projectile Glass Shards
*Be surrounded by Glass
*Make liquid Glass
*Transform his Arms into Glass Spears

What Stephanos plans on Achieving:
*Powdered Glass- A form of healing agent
*Make Identical Glass Clones

Atheya was sitting up in her bed, surrounded by the many pillows she often slept with, her old and recent sketchings scattered along her wall. Beside her on her small dresser, her lamp shone a faint glowing radiance, just enough for her to read her aged and uncared for book that she held gingerly in her hands. She had found it in the library the night before, piled underneath a mound of uniformly old books. She had been searching for a copy of it for quite some time now, but the condition was less than satisfactory. Yet, she couldn’t say she really minded; She found older books that are torn and elderly (to an extent) hold more history, a story untold by the story inside.

The particular book she was reading at the moment was a classic that many knew of, β€œTo Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. The whole innocence of the children within the book with the harder more serious whole tone of plot in the book was a balanced she liked, that she would have thought hard for an author to pull off. She really did love the book.

Mumbling under her breath in a soft whisper laced with her English accent, β€œYou never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it,” She closed the wrinkled pages. That was probably the most popular line of the book, well, at least one of the many. It was something that she really agreed with, and understood to a complete detail. She had experienced things from people’s point of view, almost literally going into their skin at times. If that what you could call going into others thoughts and pasts through an invisible mind link between her and others. Yes it is a little hard to understand, but she often just referred to it almost like a wireless telephone. Brain waves bouncing off of others, blah blah blah.

Glancing over to the simple digital clock that rested right beside her lamp, its gleaming red light stated clearly that it was 7:02 in the morning. Removing the big black rimmed reading glasses that started slipping so it rested at just the tip of her nose, she set them down on top of the book. She figured now was probably a better time to get up, rather than when she originally woke at 5:30 after only getting around four hours of decent sleep. Being as her brain was always almost ticking and processing, she had a bit of insomnia. And by a bit, it was actually quite bad.

Swinging her legs over the side of her double bed the institute so generously gave instead of tiny twin ones, she hopped down, but tripped a bit over one of her acoustic guitars she had haphazardly left sitting on the floor. Doing a slight somersault so she didn’t just fall over, she sat up, and clutched the dark wood guitar in her grasp, saying β€œI’m sorry, Watson!” still in a quiet tone. She had a name for every one of her guitars, and would argue with anyone who doubted her theory that each of her guitars had certain personalities and souls. But that thought aside, she got up and put him on the stand with the others she had.

Rummaging through her drawers, she pulled out a make shift outfit for herself, a more lazy one considering it was a Sunday. Throwing it on quickly, she finished it off by slipping her phone in her pocket, and clasping on the oval locket she had worn every day since she was ten years old. Inside it held two pictures, one of her mother, and one of her Father. They had died and this was the only thing she really had left to remember about them. She still laughs at the slight irony of them both being Neurologists.

Slipping out of the room, she walked down the stone hallways, glancing outside the faintly fogged up windows as she continued down the long corridor of the girl’s dorm rooms. Making her way along the long stair way down to the main floor, she went into the large kitchen that all the students shared together. There weren’t many students at the school, only about thirty or so. The kitchen was a large enough space for everyone, so it really didn’t matter much. Opening one of the fridge’s, she noticed it was lacking some milk, one thing that really went fast in the institute. Opening up the other two, she found the same thing. Not only that but It seemed there was no more coffee left either when she went to go check for her β€œspirit” that she called it; a frightening thing really. It looked like she was going to have to go out and get some, hopefully before all the late bloomers of student woke up and grunted angrily and slurred unrecognizable words, glaring with their tired eyes. It had happened before and she could have sworn it was the bloody zombie apocalypse.

The good thing about this was that as one of the very few Superlative students, Atheya could actually go out into the city without having to have someone like a teacher or another student accompany her. One of the actual few rules in the Silhouette Institute was that a student of Medial or New Blood rank must, with no exception, be accompanied by a teacher or a superlative student like herself. When she first got to the school, actually only around a year back, she was infuriated at that rule. Her young rebellious nature seemed destroyed by that, but alas, she always found a way to sneak out. She had been a traveler before then, so staying in one place within walls was suffocating. She had grown a lot since that point. Now she was actually kind, and a little more laid back. Laughing and smiling, something that was very hard for her to actually do for a very long while.

β€œI guess I better go out then." She stated out loud to herself. Going out to get the food was a task that Superlative students where usually stuck with by the lazy teachers. She didn’t mind going alone, but it wasn’t the most fun thing to do. Yet again, neither was dealing with caffineless students

"It is six in the morning and there is nothing to do!" Stephanos exclaimed as he threw a small glass figurine at the wall. He didn't really mind who heard him. It was a way of getting rid of boredom, by making glass figures. This goes back to when he was a pre-teen. When he got a hold of his powers more, everytime he would get bored, he would make little figures made out of glass. Of course, with time they have gotten better looking than before. In a way you could call Stephanos an sculptist. Anyway, Stephanos thought it was ready for a shower. He went in, fully knowing that the water heater was shared by all the boys, using up most of the hot water. It soothed his pores; something he always loved when taking a shower. He got out and changed into form fitting black jeans. A yellow shirt with greek symbols that read "Work Hard, Get Great Results" Probably one of his favorite shirts. He then threw on a black zip-up hoodie over the shirt. He finished by putting on a pair of blue-gray shoes that he wore always.

He left his room realizing that school starts again tomorrow. He didn't like the idea he had to go to school with some of these kids that don't work hard to be here. He majorly respects the hard workers who actually give a damn and earned their right to attend this institution. He walked down the hallway and noticed a noise coming from the adjacent hallway down the hall. The noise sounded menacing. "Really? An attack? On a sunday morning? Must be some bratty new bloods" Stephanos said as he approached the hallway. Taking a quick glance down the hall, he noticed this guy jumping up and down with a lot of power. Stephanos was shocked when he saw who it was. He couldn't believe that a superlative student was wasting his time doing such childlike things. He cursed his behavior and looked the other way.

Stephanos reached the kitchen, and to his surprise he saw almost all the kids in there already. He didn't say anything though, he was there to grab a can of pineapple slices. He approached the first fridge and saw no pineapples. This was freaking him out, because if he didn't eat some soon, he'll start getting noticeably weaker as the day goes. He reached the last fridge and hoped that he would find some. He rummaged through to find a can on the bottom shelf with his name on it. He took it, feeling pleased and satisfied. He grabbed a spoon and went to sit at one of the empty tables. He ate joyously, watching the people he was forced to call classmates. Not all of them were bad, but there were some that where in that very room that don't deserve to be here. He glanced over at Xavier and Adelina, kids that are in his class. He didn't mind them, since they both worked hard. He did thought however that one tried too much and the other one didn't give a damn respectively. He had no problem with them, and since his former friends were kicked out for unexplainable reasons, he needed a group to be a part of. Stephanos sat there for a while, alone with a now empty can of pineapple, thinking back at the times his old friends were here.

Jane opened her eyes with difficulty, she wasn't quite what one would call a morning person. She stretched in her bed almost as if she was a feline and then hid her face under the sheets. It took her a few seconds to realize that she was naked underneath the sheets, 'not again' the young girl muttered in annoyance. It had been the third time that month in which she had somehow shifted as she fell asleep, she immediately turned to see if her roommate was around; as soon as she thought she was safe she stood up and grabbed her sheets to cover herself.

She rushed to the bathroom and took a quick shower upon looking the hour, it was already getting late and she hadn't eaten anything yet. For what was worse, shifting always made her hungry which did not help her case whatsoever. She got ready as quick as she could a beautiful red rose to her hair being the last piece of her outfit, she applied make up not taking too long and finally she walked down the hallway of the girl's dorms and headed towards the kitchen. As soon as she saw four students already there she felt a bit intimidated; she wasn't one to handle the crowds, even one as small as this one. She immediately recognized her roommate, and had they been close she would have managed to gather some courage to say good morning.

Still, her stomach growled at her and was starting to hurt a bit. Trying her best not to stare at anyone directly she quickly headed towards one of the cabinets hoping there would be some canned fruits. Much to her luck she had managed to find one of the last fruit cocktails, she smiled a bit at the gaze of the canned delish. It didn't take much to impress Jane and that simple can was enough to get her pumped up, even if it was a Sunday morning. She looked through one of the kitchen drawers and luckily enough found a can oppener, another succes she thought being pleased with herself. She quickly opened the can, her stomach hurrying her to eat already.

Finally, she thew the silvery top of the can in the trash; being careful enough not to cut herself and snagged a fork from another kitchen drawer. Once she was satisfied at her breakfast she planned to move towards the drawing room, she was almost sure that nobody else would be there but. Before she did though, she opened her cellphone to check her messages and her voicemail. Nothing. Nada. Jane couldn't help but to let out a sigh in resignation, her mother was still not talking to her. Ever since she joined the school it was as if she had abandoned her, as if she had somehow betrayed her trust... as if it was her fault she had her special abilities.

She shook her head not wanting to let it bother her as much as it usually did, somehow she remembered her place in the institute... she was a New Blood student. Being New Blood annoyed the little girl more than she would let it show which made her more anxious to climb her way up and learn more of what she could do. Looking at her cellphone she remembered her mentor Atheya, she had been kind enough to tutor her and help her with her abilities, she looked through her phone and immediately stopped at the sight of her name. She typed at a fast speed and finally hit the send button.

"Good morning Atheya. I hope you had a good night sleep.
I was wondering if you're not too busy today do you think we could practice a little more what you taught me last time? I understand if you're busy though~"

Pleased with her message, Jane continue eating her breakfast and hoped that Atheya would agree to help her for the day. She knew it was Sunday and that it would probably be bothersome for the Superlative student but truly hoped she'd be available. Jane had nowhere else to go for the rest of the day, thankfully she hadn't gotten the Sunday shift for her part time job, and she hadn't made any other plans. Besides, Jane had managed to get a present for Atheya for all the trouble she had made her go through and hoped she could surprise her if they meet at all that day.

"Jeez, I bet Zac was responsible for topping up the food supplies, that lazy ass good for nothing. How'd a slacker like him become a Superlative..." Xavier was mumbling now, becoming slightly annoyed at the fact that Zac had made it so far and showed no effort at all. "What even is his power anywa-."
"Hey, Xavier. looking for something?" A soft energetic voice called out to him, startling Xavier as his reactions had now gotten the better of him, forcing him into the cabinet. He could feel his forehead swell with slight pain as she questioned, her distinctive voice carried a tone which signalled that she wasn't expecting an answer from it, if Xavier had known he would've assumed that she had startled him for no reason. But the fact was, Xavier and Adelina had a bit of history behind them, managing a friendship for a whole two years before attending the Institution. Their personalities contrasted in a way, whereas Xavier was willing to push himself, Adelina was very cautious- he never blamed her though, her abilities were frightening to say the least. He turned to her and smiled, noticing two other students wonder into the kitchen.

Despite the heaviness Xavier's eyes was putting up with, he watched Stephanos pull a can of pineapples from the empty fridge and took his usual place at the table. Alone. He was such a simpleton, making everything seem so easy yet still not giving a damn about what others thought. He was strong, and that you could tell just by his body language.
"Nice! I bet that one hurt. It sounded like it anyway. What are you up to tonight? Wanna hang?" Adelina's voice rung once more, pulling Xavier from his observance.

His lips trembled a little, the lack of sleep heavily effected his co-operation as he tried to find words to answer her.
"Erm.. Yeah sure, but I've got studying to do later, gotta' make up for not doing anything for the past few days you know?" He paused, looking over at Stephanos once more.
"Say Adelina, how come he's always sitting on his own?" He pointed at the male in a non-obvious way, reducing his voice to a slight whisper before glancing back at the coffee jar. His eyes were really weighing down him now.

"Looks like someone wiped out the coffee before we got here, Greased Lightning..."
Xavier had now developed an unamused smile as he turned to face Scottie. Greased Llightning..Damn how does he come up with these nicknames. He thought, laughing slightly at his creativity.
"Hey don't start mocking me! Be grateful that I didn't throw my laptop at you this morning, do you have any idea how loud you snore?" He responded, punching his arm lightly.
"We should find some other people and hang out. I haven't gotten to talk to one girl since I got here, and that's just wrong, man." Scottie was now enjoying his replacement for the coffee that Xavier had promised him, if only he had liked Iced Tea then maybe Xavier would've been a little less edgy. Nonetheless, he couldn't help but agree.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't know, Steph seems like he could use someone to talk to- and that newbie over there, I don't think I've met her before." He paused as a smile had now formed. He enjoyed making new friends, if anything, friendship is what keeps him smiling. He knew what it was like to feel like to be alone, being the only 'mutant' amongst humans, despite his efforts to fit in, nothing seemed to work for him. But this was France not England. He was in Silhouette Institution, no longer labelled as a freak. And yet, despite all being similar, there still hung a sense of awkwardness.
"Wait a sec.." He looked at Scottie then back at Adelina. "Have you two never met before? I swear I've introduced you guys to each other." He sighed, walking over to a spare seat which was next to Steph. Figuring that it would be best if everyone sat around the same table to allow easy conversation, Xavier looked down at Steph.

"Mind if I sit here, Steph?" Perhaps Xavier didn't know him well enough to call him by his nickname, but he had heard a few people call him that a little while back, maybe he could get on his good side by addressing him in this way.

Adelina nodded to Xavier's plans to kick it later. She wasn't sure on what to do though. Adelina wasn't much of a planner herself so she figured they would just wing it. She then noticed his interest in Stephanos, as he kept looking over at his table. She too wondered why he would sit all by himself all the time. It wasn't like that before this year actually. Adelina and Stephanos came to this institution in the same year as New bloods. She remembers how loud he used to be, and now you would think she would be a completely different person she was thinking of. "Hey Xavier, I think it's of what happened last year," She began saying. "Do you remember the big explosion that took place in the north wing? Yeah that was Stephanos' buddies that did that," She continued. "That's why we had that week long break in the middle of the year. Boy did that feel good. And apparently His buddies were responsible for all the damage they caused. The school got it under control obviously, but from what I heard it was an attempt to break free." She finished with that. Adelina watched Xavier's face change from surprised, to amazed to worried back again.

"But you didn't hear it from me okay? Just between us two". She said, until she noticed a guy was right next to her. She turned to look at him, eyeing him. "How much of that did you hear?" She asked in a bit of a threatening tone. "Alright listen, you don't tell anyone that, and we won't have a problem okay?" She threatened him, and with that he nodded. Adelina went back to look at Xavier. as he now had another person in sight. Jane? She thought as she continued to look. I think that was her roommate this year. She wasn't sure, since they would always wake up and sleep at different times. Of course Xavier was back to looking at Stephanos. "Dude stop staring, he's going to notice and think the wrong idea." She warned him. That didn't work though, instead the opposite happened as he began to approach him. He asked for a seat, and called him by his nickname which was probably a bad idea. She was cautious sitting down on the other side waiting to see what would happen.

Olivia stirred in bed as the a loud hollow thump invaded the silence. She opened one eye, and deciding not to investigate the noise, she fell back asleep. The next time she woke up, it was to the annoying blare of her alarm clock. Lazily reaching out from her the covers, she pawed around her nightstand until her fingers met her clock, and she turned the alarm off. She sat up in bed as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She looked around for a moment, wondering where Atheya was. She must've woken up earlier than her and left.

Olivia scurried to the bathroom, determined to finish her morning routine as fast as possible so she could get food downstairs before it was gone. She brushed her teeth and took a hot shower. Leaving the bathroom, she quickly picked out clothes, not really caring what they were, as long as they natch or looked neat enough. After she put her outfit on, she grabbed her phone and was about to leave. Her eyes noticed the note on the door just as she was about to open it.

Morning! There’s not a lot of supplies in the kitchen, I’ve run out to grab some though

- Atheya

Olivia smiled at the beautiful signature at the bottom before hurried downstairs. She passed through many stone hallways, and down a main stairwell before arriving at the kitchen. There were already many people there, all crowded around the island. It looks like she woke up a little late... Again. She spotted Atheya amidst the people near the island. Guess she hasn't left yet. Olivia made her way to the island. "Morning!" she said brightly. She noticed everyone writing on a piece of paper; it looked to be a grocery list."Pass me the list please?" she asked, and waited till the list got to her. she quickly scribbled down what she wanted, and passed the paper to someone else. Olivia was about to ask Atheya if she could join her, but noticed a lot of people wanting to accompany her, so she changed her mind. It would be a stupid for so many of them to go. She'll just wait for them to get back with the food.

In the meantime, Olivia still needed something to eat. She opened and closed a bunch of cupboards before finding a broken poptart in the corner of one. "Still looks good enough to eat," she thought with a shrug. She nibbled on the poptart as she leaned against the island, passively watching as the others talked and went about their business.

Stephanos continued to sit there, pondering what his next move was. Suddenly he got the feeling someone was looking at him. He quickly glanced and noticed that one kid, Xavier was it? Staring at him a few times. He didn't understand what his fascination was with him, so he merely just shrugged it off. Then he approached him, saying if he could use the seat next to him. Really? You pick this seat, when there are others you can pick from? He mentally said as he politely nodded. Xavier and Adelina began to talk about things, but Stephanos was worried about other things. He had no friends to spar with anymore, so he was left with very little options. He got the feeling that most people here thought he was stuck up, but if they really tried he wasn't that bad.

After a good ten minutes, get got up from the table. "Guys, I've gotta get going. See you in class, if we don't cross paths later." He said as he began walking away. With a final wave he left the cafeteria. Damn, there's got to be something to do around here. Stephanos said as he walked through the corridors. He heard loud noises coming from one of the hallways but he didn't worry to much about it. He decided to go and see if there was any books worth looking at in the Library. Damn, this library still has that god awful smell. He said as he entered the room. The library was one of those old libraries that had a ton of history. Information that would take years to learn, and luckily it was organized in a way that it had sections in it specifically for any power. He approached the glass books trying to get a head start for tomorrows lesson. That went on for a while.

After a good half hour or so, he picked up three books worth improving his skills. He also noticed his roommate Charlie up at the checkout desk carrying a ton of books. That peaked Stephano's interest. Sneaky fucker. He's always prancing around this place like he owns it. Following him would be fun. This might get interesting. Stephanos waited a bit before getting up and following him. He got his books and hurried before he lost him. He began to follow him trying not to get caught. He managed to follow him for a bit, not sure if he's caught on or not. Suddenly he stopped in the middle of the hallway. Oh crap, he knows I'm on to him. Charlie began to turn, and like that Stephanos managed to hide behind one of the large statues in the hallway. Jesus, that was a close one. I better be more careful next time.

Adelina watched as Stephanos left the table. She felt for him, considering that he lost a lot of friends due to their expulsion. She also knew that she couldn't do anything about it. Maybe just to be there for him when times are tough, and she knows that Xavier will back her up too. Stephanos is strong, having him as an ally would definitely help. "Poor guy," She started "He seems so lonely and serious all the time." She said as he left the room. "Well, Xavier, I'm going to get going. I have stuff to do in order to prep for tomorrow. See ya around black thunder." Adelina winked at him and she left the room. He heard commotion happen a few hallways down. She was curious and decided to check out the scene. She looked carefully down the hallway and noticed a fight ensuing. Woah, this fight is getting pretty heated. She thought as she watched. This went on for a while before it all died down.

Adelina turned her attention to a room that was down the other hallway. She got closer and tried for the nob. She reached for the handle and tried to open it, Damn it, it's locked! She thought as she took a closer look at the door. Engraved on it it said Training room. Adeline had to check it out. She heated one of her hands hot enough to melt the door handle. Yes! It worked! She praised her self for a job well done. She peered inside and the room was huge. The room was dark, but as soon as you came closer there were lot candles lighting up a significant part of the room. "Oh man, this room is pretty sweet. How did I not find this sooner?" She thought out loud as she was amazed of how great the room was. She took off her biker jacket and threw it near her. She thought it'd be a great idea to get a bit of practice in before tomorrow. Adelina positioned herself in the center of the room and closed her eyes. She extended her arms out in front of her and casted a fire ball. A simple red flame that couldn't hurt anyone or anything not super human. Moments of fun she started getting this urge of going further. Activating the Orange fire, changing the intensity of the flame. The candles in the room seemed to react to that. She went one step further and activated the Yellow Fire. Adelina felt a great urge of energy and to go further. She felt stronger and stronger the more she was in this room. As if the room was giving her strength to go further. She moved the Yellow Fire around in the air giving the room a yellow glow. She made the fire dance beautifully. That is until she heard a noise. She quickly went back down to Red Fire as she saw a figure appear in the room. Oh no, I'm busted. She thought as this man approached into the room far enough so his face was exposed. "Sorry, I didn't mean any trouble I just got carried away in here. Am I in trouble?" She asked the man who didn't seem mad at all.

After nearly getting caught by Charlie, Stephanos had enough excitement for the day. He headed back to the kitchen and noticed a s light restock in the kitchen. I guess someone went shopping after all. He browsed through the cabinets and found nothing to eat. He looked through the refrigerators and still found nothing that met his needs. "Wow, whoever went shopping this time sucks." He said to himself with a slight irritated tone. He went to the fruit basket and got himself a pineapple to bring back to his room. He shopped it up first and put it in a small bowl. He headed for his room thinking about Charlie and how mysterious he was acting earlier. I'll catch on to you soon Charlie-boy. He thought as he was entering his room. Plopped down on his bed and began doing some glass research with the help of the books he check out later.

That lasted about three hours of full research and Stephanos had enough. He finished with his pineapple and set it on his desk beside him. "Where are you, you little shit?" He asked out loud as it was midnight and charlie was not in bed yet. Of course Stephanos wasn't either, but he was at least in his room. "Well, where ever you are, don't cause any trouble. I don't want to deal with that right now." He said once more before he shut the main lights to his room, shut the blinds and changed for bed. Tomorrow will be a new day.
