Introduction
...they thought it was all over...could they be more wrong?
Shibusen. A school, located somewhere in Nevada, famous for training meisters and weapons to square off against evil forces. Weapons and meisters from all of the world gather to train with each other, to grow and to form partnerships, friendships and become strong and confident, trusting their partner to the utmost. Because without trust, where would this world be?
Fifteen years since the defeat of the first Kishin, Asura, Shibusen and all the cities impacted have slowly returned to normal. The students responsible for the downfall of Asura have long since graduated and gone on to do many wondrous things for the world.
But a new generation of stars is rising in the school's ranks.
And then there's the problem of the death of the famous Dr. Franken Stein. Stein died five years after Asura was defeated, consumed by the insanity that had affected him so strongly in the very beginning. He died, with those that had grown to love the mad professor at his death bed. It was, however, his dying words, whispers on his faint and pale lips that would remain in everybody's minds forever.
Shock had filled the room. Maka, Soul, Black Star, Tsubaki, Death the Kid, Liz and Patty had all gathered at his side. Even Maka's father, Spirit, and Shinigami-sama were there. At first, they all banished it as the ramblings of an insane man at the end of his days.
But eight years later, reports of people being possessed...going insane...all the typical signs of an awakening Kishin reach Shibusen's ears. However, these secrets have been kept well under lock, known only to Shinigami-sama and the seven others who had been at Stein's deathbed.
A secret as large as this one cannot be kept hidden for long. The heroes of the past have regathered to discuss what the future holds.
And they have decided to put it in the hands of eight promising students, new to each other, pairs that are just getting to know each other but show great promise, with wavelengths matching to an almost unheard of degree. Students from within Shibusen's own walls. Each of the eight seem to have something connecting them to these strange happenings.
And they are just about to discover what happens when all the things they have been holding back come together and...

Rules
2. Literacy is required. I want at least a paragraph per post.
3. It is not a first come first serve basis.
4. No GM or PP.
5. You may be either a weapon or a technician. Not both. And I will assign pairs.
6. One character per person, unless you want to play an NPC (in which case you have to ask me and I have to know you can play them) or if the plot demands more characters later.
7. Romance is allowed, but keep it PG-13. Violence and all that jazz, however, is okay. I mean, this is Soul Eater, after all.
8. I expect you to know the Japanese terms. The school is Shibusen and it's Shinigami-sama.
9. To prove you read this, don't send me any PM with any word in it, unless it's a question.
10. I will not reserve spots for you unless I know you and I know you know the world of Soul Eater.

Kenzen naru tamashii wa, kenzen naru seishinto, kenzen naru nikutai ni yadoru.
A sound soul dwells in a sound mind and a sound body.
Shinigami Buki Shokunin Senmon Gakkou. Otherwise known as....Shibusen. Famous for training meisters and weapons, to send out into the world to defeat, kill, and destroy Kishin eggs.
For now, as the sun started rising over the horizon, its echoing laugh the daily alarm for many, many students, all was peaceful. But today was the start of a new term. Today was the day weapons and meisters would meet for the first time. Up until now, they might have seen each other in the halls. But now, now they would be partners.
Where does your story start?
The library?
The computer lab?
Perhaps you are simply wandering the streets of Death City.
But for four pairs, today was the day their journey, their life and everything they would learn and gain, would begin.....
OOC Notes
She checked her watch again before looking up at a wall clock in the hallway, synced as always. She reached the corner right before her classroom. 'I might just make it!' the meister celebrated in her mind, smiling to herself.
OOC Notes
A new term.
She didn't understand why she had to wear a name tag, but one of the class presidents had directed her towards the name tag table, where teachers and volunteers sat.
"Everybody knows who I am," Izumi rolled her eyes, glancing down at her bare fingernails. She nipped at a hangnail, resigned to wandering around aimlessly until the teachers decided it was time to make people meet each other.
She headed for the hallway that would lead her to the balcony, but as she turned the corner, she nearly crashed into another girl running in the opposite direction. "SHIT!" Izumi swore loudly, nearly falling back on her butt.
OOC Notes
She blinked, didn't she know this girl from somewhere?
Her mind whirled as she struggled to remember, seeing little fragments of memories that remained incoherant from when she was much younger.

She brushed off her shirt, playing with the edge of the sticker that was coming loose. Her eyes scanned the other girl, mild curiosity hidden underneath the odd burning gaze. She was nervous. But Izumi would never admit it. What if her meister, her destined partner, wasn't here at Shibusen?
OOC Notes
She looked down at the other's nametag placed....on...her stomach?
She smiled, so this person was a weapon then? Wouldn't it be funny if they ended up being partners? Kaori stifled a laugh inside her, not wanting to seem rude.
OOC Notes
But today... today was different.
Today, pairs would be meeting.
Excitement thrilled through her chest. Who would her weapon be...?
OOC Notes
“H-Hey! Tao-kun!” His loud voice boomed, as Dingo shouldered his way through the crowd. It seemed that everyone was acquainting themselves with each other. He couldn't help feel like they were vultures circling their prey, in hopes of finding their destined partners. Finally reaching the oriental-looking boy, he huffed confidently and threw his arm around his shoulder. His own Shibusen sticker was stuck on the lapel of his shirt, with the messiest writing that couldn't possibly reveal his name. Truthfully, he'd known Taoki for awhile—well, four years to be exact—they'd arrived at the academy at the same time. He'd never even considered asking him whether or not he had a partner because he always assumed that he had one, or worst, he'd reject his offer. The brimming grin never left his face, he stared ahead with the determination of a tough-chinned child. Finally, he released Taoki and shoved his hands into his pockets, admiring the decorations on the wall. More importantly, the mission board.
“Think this years gonna be different?”
OOC Notes
She coughed, before holding out her hand. "Kuroki Izumi, revolver," she introduced herself, even though she was sure the other girl could read. She looked her up and down. "What's your name?"
She's definitely a meister thought, Izumi confirmed.
OOC Notes
He was close to getting inside the building when he spotted two girls conversing. "So, those two must be for the new term as well. Why they are here this early is a mystery." He then started climbing the building, getting to a platform just a few feet above the girls. He fell on the ground, hands behind his head and legs crossed. "It's not polite to eavesdrop on others, but I've got nothing else to do." He yawned as he listened intently on their conversation.

She felt excitement run wild in her as the coincidence felt too good to be true. "It'd be a pretty funny coincidence if we were partners wouldn't it?" she asked, trying to make light conversation.
But on the inside, her mind was overworking itself. Exactly who was this girl. The vague memories taunted her as she tried to pin down a specific date and time.
OOC Notes
She was preoccupied with the conversation to notice Jack's very loud appearance just a few hundred feet away. Well, it did register, but it was unimportant.
Izumi didn't want for an answer.
A red light enveloped her. Dark red, just a few shades lighter than the red that marked a Kishin egg. She started to shrink, changing form before a bright flash of light and a few sparks later, she hung, suspended by invisible threads, as a revolver. The bright red streaks on the side, looking suspiciously like dried blood, the muzzle and the handle shiny and new.
OOC Notes
Those were missions he'd often dreamed of, where he could prance along juggling souls, and be completely satisfied that he wasn't just a thrill-chasing, starving meister who'd never even successfully completed a mission. The thought made him frown, his stomach gave an empty lurch that beckoned for lunch. Anything. Nonchalantly glancing over at his friend, a wry smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. “I think it'll be pretty interesting, too.” He agreed, nodding his head. “But isn't it lame that it's so hard to find a partner—I mean, really.” Fishing his hands from his pockets, he crossed his arms over his chest and examined the board, then slowly turned towards Taoki. Something caught his attention. As Taoki smoothed the front of his shirt over, Dingo's golden eyes roved over the Shibusen sticker. Weapon. I thought he was a Meister... like me. He thought guiltily, it showed how much he knew about his friends. Then again, he might have known he was a weapon. Had they ever discussed it? Memory of a goldfish, they'd always tell him. Dingo craned his neck closer, drew away and adopted a rather innocent look.
“Dude,” Dingo finally said, glancing down at the sticker. “This whole time, I didn't know you were a Weapon.”
OOC Notes
She couldn't believe her eyes--err....senses that she may or may not have just found her partner. "May I?" She asked, finger on the trigger. Kaori bit her cheek in concentration, eager to take the other for a spin and yet hesitating. She was not at all a trigger happy person after all, and she had proof of it too, just ask her dad.
OOC Notes
OOC Notes
Never mind that.
"Just fuckin' shoot already!" Izumi was getting impatient.
OOC Notes
She turned around, seeing Jack. "Ah.....Jack-sempai...." She flushed at having been caught nearly destroying school property in front of an upperclassman.
'That was a close call...'
OOC Notes
He then drew his attention to her gun. It was a simple design, a silver revolver. What caught his attention, however, was the red streaks across the barrel. Jack had seen some weird weapon designs before, but this was something new, even to him. He then lifted his right hand and pointed at the gun. "I'm assuming this might be a potential partner for you?" On closer inspection, Jack had the right idea. The way she held it was like she had used it a thousand times over. He was a little happy at the fact that the first pair of miesters and weapons he came across could be a successful duo.

Hooking his thumb into his own chest, he tapped it there a few times. “And I'm gonna be the best Meister,” He announced confidently, throwing his friend a knowing wink. Shoulders rolled back, chest puffed out and he felt like the biggest man in the room. It wasn't true. He knew that he had some weaknesses, mostly involving his families curse. It wouldn't stop him from climbing to the top, even if he had to crawl all the way there. A small gleam flickered in his eyes when he met Taoki's gaze. Enthusiasm seemed to be his only endearing trait. “With me, you could definitely become a Death Scythe,” He whispered conspiratorially, trying to keep the feigned solemn, serious expression he held on his features. How had he never thought of this before? Inside, he was soaring.

Re: [OOC] Collide
I will make the first introductory post tomorrow at around 8:00 pm EST.
The role play will officially start then.
This role play will attempt to be organized. If you can post at least once or twice per day, then please do so. Since there are only 8 characters, it is of dire importance that you stay active and do not drop out. I cannot guarantee that it will be very fast to start.
But. I'm looking forward to role playing with all of you!
