Introduction
The Death Weapon Meister Academy is a school founded by the grim reaper, Lord Death. It is a place where people known as Weapons and Meisters come together, to form partnerships, to learn how to control their abilities, to grow, and to keep the balance between good and evil in the world. Around 20 years have passed since the fall of the Kishin Asura, and since then things have been rather peaceful, and more or less uneventful. Of course, as always, evil has risen and fallen a few times during this calm, but nothing major has happened.
Not yet, but something is on it's way. It is nearing the end of this school year for the students of the DWMA, and we have entered the calm before the storm. The Meisters and their Weapon partners have been killing and devouring evil souls as usual, but in recent weeks a strange new kind of soul has been found in enemies. These souls are dark, almost black, with a dark purple aura about them, and while no one knows exactly how they have been created, the truth is that after Asura and his madness fell, there was a reduction of madness in the world, like when the tide goes out. But now, the tide of madness has come in, and some of those souls brought into this world in the last 20 years have been tainted by madness, and turned black by it.
These black souls, called Dark Souls by Lord Death and the teachers of the Academy, usually cause the person they belong to, to at first act unusual, then slowly they go mad. Sometimes they attack and hurt others, sometimes they do nothing more than act strangely. It is because of this that it is incredably hard to know who might have a Dark Soul, and what's more, if someone eats a Dark Soul it will taint their own, even an evil human or kishin egg. And because, for the most part, when one uses their soul sensing ability a Dark Soul still inside someone looks like a normal soul, it is unsafe for Weapons to consume them without being sure.
Now, near the end of the year, the Dark Souls are changing their hosts into creatures, true demons, or Devils, as most call them. If they were still human at the time, their skin will change to a dark purple, almost like that of a zombie, their eyes will glow red, and physically they will change, and become both completely mad and evil. If this happens to a person, even if it's your best friend, you will more than likely have to kill them...

Basically, souls tainted by madness are turning people into monsters, even those who have already been warped by evil. And anyone who consumes such a soul will slowly be tainted by it. Eventually they are turned into Devils, which are strong, and hard to kill, aside from being evil and mad. This rp is about a group of Devils rising up, trying to destroy all of the Weapons of the DWMA because they consume souls to grow stronger, as well as anyone else who has evern devoured a soul.
You can be a Weapon, or Meister, but you can also be a Halfbreed, the child of a Weapon and Meister, which tends to be either a stronger and more natural of the two, or a blend of the two, a person who can wield a weapon as well as partially transform into one.

OOC Notes
"When will this class be over?" Stein Jr. mutters quietly to himself, his head propped up on his desk with his right hand as his elbow rests on the table. Below, Death the Kid, one of the newer teachers at the DWMA, is going on another of his rants about symetry. This time it happens to be because there is an uneven number of students today. "I know he likes balance and everything, but if it bothers him so much when something like this happens, why doesn't he just cancel class, or send one of us out?"
Thankfully, the class was nearly over, as was the school day itself, but whenever he wasn't learning something he always felt like time was dragging on rather slowly. Sometimes it felt as if it were standing still. All he could do to drown out Kid was to think about the lesson his father had given him the other day on Soul Menace. He had been trying to learn the soul sewing technique, but it wasn't going very well. Although he understood the basics Stein Jr. still couldn't turn his soul wavelength into a fine enough thread for it to be used properly. In his own, private opinion, he believed it was the Weapon in him, but he never said this to his father.
Looking around the room, he begins to wonder a little why there are Meisters and Weapons of such varying stars in thie class. Mostly it is made up of three stars, but there are a few fives, a handful of fours, and alot of one stars as well.
Maybe it has something to do with those Devils Lord Death mentioned earlier this week... Stein Jr. wonders. Absently, he reaches up and begins to tighten the bolt in his neck, still deep in thought as he does so. While he gets a few looks, and cringes, he doesn't notice. There are a few muffled clicks, and then finally a SNAP, and his head jerks to the right.
Thankfully, the class was nearly over, as was the school day itself, but whenever he wasn't learning something he always felt like time was dragging on rather slowly. Juli smirked and chuckled as she watched Death The Kid rant about symmetry because of the uneven amount of symmetry. She found his obsessiveness to be amusing, maybe even worth laugh, though, like others did, she did find it to be kind of... Annoying that his rant was taking up class time. The reason she came here was, again like others, to improve her skills and so that she could defend herself better. Since ya never know what might be out there, especially with those... What were they called? Well anyways, she knew that they made you go crazy, or something like that.
At least the school day's over soon... She thought as her amused smirk slowly turned into a annoyed look as he continued on and on, though currently her temper was at midway point. A few more annoyances and Mt.Juli would erupt, spreading her ranting lava everywhere. She looked around and only now did she notice that there were students of varying stars. She didn't know all of the students stars, but she did recognize a few one stared students, even a few with high stars than she did...

"C'mon, not again." Justin whispered to himself. He then lifted his bookand began to read. It was non-related to the lesson, obviously because the lesson was about symetry, which his teacher was ranting on about. It was nearing the end of the class, so Justin decided to let it go and continue to read his book.Usually it bothered him, fortunately he was beggining to get use to it. Justin then remembred that about a month ago, Death the kid, kept him after class and talked about how the week was seven days and how that was an Unsymetrical number. " Ridiculous." Justin thought. He then ut his book down and closed his eyes.
"Im so sleepy, I didnt sleep last night, this sucks." Justin thought. As he reopened his eyes he noticed his glasses were fogged up, so naturraly he took them off and began to clean them. As he began to return his glasses to his face he felt a cold breeze. " Wow its cold in hear." He whispered as he Shoved his hands into his pockets. Usually he would be on edge, ready for anything, but he was tired today and just wanted some peace and quiet. " Its almost over, the day is almost over." Justin kept repeating to himself.
He closed his eyes again drifting off into a little nap. "Finnaly got some shut eye." He thought.

Ariette wasn't too pleased with having to sit around in class. She was going to cut this class, however, a teacher caught her and sent her away, much to her dismay. In the vain attempt to entertain herself Ariette had begun to doodle in her notebook and flick papers at Juliu. The pages of her notebook were filled with ripped edges, tic tak toe games, and various games of hangman. Sure, it wasn't exactly the most productive thing to do in class, but it passed the time. Besides, she wasn't disturbing anyone. . . Well, she was disturbing Juliu. Still, that was just one person. That only made her a minor threat when it came to disrupting the class.
Ariette's eyes (or rather, eye) looked up at the clock with a both pitiful and hopeful sense of longing. More so than usual Ariette couldn't wait to get out of class. This was partly because she'd rather just read the textbook when she got home, and partly because she knew there was trouble brewing around the school. She wasn't sure what it was, but if you spent enough time wandering around the building as Ariette did you caught on to current events. The school didn't feel as safe as it used to, and in a classroom Ariette couldn't help but feel like a sitting duck.
Raising her hand Ariette made a half hearted attempt at getting out of class.
"Hey, teach, if it bothers you that much I'll be more than happy t--"
"No, stop asking!" Death the kid snapped, tossing an eraser at Ariette in his asymmetry induced rage. Ariette made a sound midway between a squeak and a chuckle as she lifted her notebook to block the oncoming eraser. It left a chalk stain on the back, which Ariette brushed off. Picking the eraser off the floor the Meister wondered if she should bring it back to the front, but decided against it. It would give her something to do in ten minutes when she was bored out of her pretty little head again. From her pocket Ariette procured a piece of gum and discreetly popped it in her mouth, making sure to flick the paper at Juli again.
"Teach may not be fun, but he's damn entertaining." She whispered to her with a bit of a smirk.

"Well how about I stand up there with you so the people standing up and the people sitting down are both even in number?" asked Koganei who was getting quite bored with this rant. He then got up and stood in the front of the class.

She was starting to tune out Kid's rant and just focus on the clock. "Let the day go a little bit faster... I can't stand another minute of this." Ariana looked around the classroom, everyone looked as bored as she was. She looked down at the teacher, Does he not notice that absolutely no one is listening or even caring for what he has to say?
Ariana looked around the classroom, and the students. She didn't mind the Academy piling various students with different amounts of stars. She understood that because of the Dark souls, they would need to step up all of the students strength and abilities. Although, she did find some students rather annoying, those who thought they were better then everyone esle just because they had a higher rank then others. If there is one thing Ariana can't stand, it's arrogant jerks. Despite, her having her moments too.

Michaline stared at the different students in the class. he wondered vaugly if she would ever get a Meister. She figured it was probably pretty slim, as most Meisters who came to DWMA already had weapons...so they didn't need her. She began to daydream about who her Creator was. It was the norm that the Creator was the weapon's Meister, but Michaline's creator had abandoned her seven years ago. Since then, she had been at DWMA, not gaining any power, or a Meister. It was rather depressing. She wasn't paying any attention to Death the Kid's rant about semetry either.
OOC Notes
Juli didn't mind the doodles and other various things that were being flicked at her by Ariette, or Arie as she called her when Ariette annoyed her. Seeing as how she wasn't planning on listening about "the beauty of symmetry" or whatever c**p he was spewing about even proportions, she gladly welcomed the time-wasters that would hopefully satisfy their boredom until the ringing of the bell saved them all. She even wrote on the papers filled with hangman, tic tak toe, and other papers that were flicked at her and flicked them back to Ariette. On one paper she wrote "Doesn't everything seem kind of... Hectic around the school?" before flicking it back to Ariette. This was, of course, probably going to be before she got annoyed about Ariette. She couldn't help but chuckle at her half hearted failed attempt to get out of class before going back to her annoyed look.
She honesty didn't mind how Ariette bombed her grades, it wouldn't do any good to nag her and she didn't feel like nagging her. However, what did tick her off a little about her was that she was a serial flirt.

Ariette trapped the paper that Juli flicked with her palm. Unfolding it she read the note inside.
"Doesn't everything seem kind of... Hectic around the school?"
The girl smirked a bit, reading the note over. Sometimes Juli was a bit oblivious to the things going on around her. Well, not too oblivious, she guessed there were worse people in the class who didn't seem to notice the calm before the storm feeling. Still, this wasn't going to stop her from teasing Juli about it a little. Where Juli was the academically skilled one in the pair Ariette was pretty street wise. You had to be quick on the uptake if you wanted to escape the ever watching eyes of the teachers. And they said cutting class wouldn't teach her anything.
Clicking her pen so that the tip stood out again Ariette wrote under Juli's message and flicked it back.
"Just noticed? Haha! You catch on quick. But, yeah, things are kinda weird. Hope it's nothing too bad." Ariette was about to send the note Juli's way but added another bit at the end. "I think it is though, got a weird feeling. We could always try asking Stien Jr after class, he seems to be pretty up to date on these sorts of things." And with that she sent the little paper flying Juli's way. Nonchalantly Ariette looked around, hoping no one noticed. Kid, of course, was too wrapped up in his own thing to notice and no one else seemed to care.
All in all Ariette was happy someone was willing to indulge her in her tomfoolery. She hadn't paired up with a weapon in a while and thus far she and Juli were decent at putting up with one another. The clicked and they clashed, like any team, but it was going well so far. Ariette didn't appreciate Juli's bragging and Juli wasn't exactly fond of her flirting, but that didn't stop either of them from doing it. Which, really, made for some funny situations.

Michaline caught what her fellow classmates were doing. They annoyed her. It was Julie, the ring girl, and Ariette. Why must they be so...silly? She didn't understand it at all. For the fourth time that week, Michy felt uneasy. She knew something bad was comming...but what, she wasn't sure. She figuered it had something to do with the Dark Souls that Death had mentioned at the begining of the week.

Juli noticed that one of the many papers that she had sent back to Ariette was being sent back to her. She reached for it and read the message that was wrote on it in response to her's.
"Just noticed? Haha! You catch on quick. But, yeah, things are kinda weird. Hope it's nothing too bad."
She bit her cheek in frustration when she read this, "Says Arie, who has a D average," She wrote, then she continued to read the rest.
"I think it is though, got a weird feeling. We could always try asking Stien Jr after class, he seems to be pretty up to date on these sorts of things."

Stein Jr. watched everything going on around him quietly. Kid was still rambling on, at least he was, until Koganei came down there with him and had some sort of notion about evening them out. After that, Kid was yelling at him about how it wasn't symetrical because he was a student and not a teacher, and so while there were now two of them, their ranks weren't even...or something like that. Stein Jr. was already looking over at Michaline, who seemed to be annoyed at another pair of girls, the partners Ariette and Juli, who were flicking paper back and forth.
Glancing up at the clock, he noticed that they had only five minutes left in class, which was good for everyone. Just then he heard a noise, and looking over, he saw Danial slink into the class room. With bare feet his movements were quite silent, Stein Jr. had to admit, but then again if he had actually come to class Death the Kid wouldn't be ranting now, so there would have been no need for the quietness.
"Did I miss anything good?" Danial asks, taking one og the many empty seats around his friend.
"No, not really." Stein Jr. says with a small laugh, looking back at Kid and Koganei. "But, thanks to you, he's been ranting all day about the uneven number of students." His tone said he wasn't exactly happy about that, but that he wasn't mad at Danial for it either.
"You're very welcome, your highness," Danial says sarcastically, sticking his tongue out. "Doesn't matter anyway. Listen, I got us a mission! We can go after class, it's an easy one. You know that rain forest to the west of here right? It seems a gorillia has been eating souls and become a kishin egg!"
"And you want us to go and get it? You realize that aside from helping the locals, I'm the only one who can get it's soul, right?" Stein Jr. says with a sigh.
Before Danial can respond, the bell rings. In a flash Stein Jr. is up, out of his seat, books under his arm, and headed out the door.
Glancing up at the clock, he noticed that they had only five minutes left in class, which was good for everyone. Just then he heard a noise, and looking over, he saw Danial slink into the class room. With bare feet his movements were quite silent, Stein Jr. had to admit, but then again if he had actually come to class Death the Kid wouldn't be ranting now, so there would have been no need for the quietness.
"Did I miss anything good?" Danial asks, taking one og the many empty seats around his friend.

Just as she finished reading Juli's note the bell rang and Ariette surprised the urge to let out a "hallelujah". The Meister almost dove at her weapon, grabbing the other girl by the arm and dragging her out of the classroom. If she didn't catch up with Stein Jr she likely wouldn't find him past the horde of students. Ariette wanted to know just what was going on. Partially out of concern, though partially out of her ever present curiosity. Some people would say that her curiosity was dangerous and that she should just mind her business. Curiosity killed the cat, but as the saying goes, satisfaction brought it back.
"Ey Stein Jr!" Ariette called out, catching up with the other student. She even grabbed some of his shirt sleeves. Maybe she was a little too friendly with him, but she didn't really see why people were so scared of him. He had a bolt in his neck, so what? She was missing an eye and made out with teachers, some people have eccentricities. Granted, some were subjectively worse than others. Either way, he has just another student in her book. A student that could likely kick her ass, but still a student. Slowing into his pace and letting go of his shirtsleeve and setting Juli's wrist free from her grasp she began to speak again.
"Something is going on." She said in a matter of fact tone. "The teachers sure as hell aren't going to spill any beans so I figured if anyone else knew what was going on, or at least had a better idea, it'd be you." Ariette folded her arms and nodded her head as if agreeing with herself and looked back up at her classmate in hopes that he'd give her some sort of answer. It could go either way with him, though she'd hoped she would get an answer. If not, she'd have to resort to begging.

As Justin was in a midway drift to sleep, a light barrage of paper balls hit him in the head, knocking his glasses of." Ari, you know i was trying to sleep." He said with a faint whisper. As he began to pick up his glasses his book fell and hit him in the head." Luck is never on my side." He thought. He picked up the two items and returned them to his desk." A couple minuetes left untill the bell rings." He thought while he put his book into his backpack. After he put his glasses on he noticed a boy sneeking in to the classroom." I could have actually learned something if it wasn't for that kid." Justin whispered to himself.

Ariana smiled, "Well, next thing ya know, Kid starts yelling at you... Thats the last thing you need, especially when he's already riled up about this stupid symmetry stuff." She looked at the clock, and saw that it was almost time to go. She started stuffing her notebook and pencil case in her bag, she wasn't too organized. She never really got the idea of having a place for everything and always having it in it's place. It was too much work for something that she thought wasn't that important.
Ariana looked up as she heard a couple of bangs, she saw Justin falling over chairs. Oh boy... He's so clumsy sometimes... She stood up and swung her backpack on her shoulder, and waited for Justin. The bell startled Michaline out of her seat. She hadn't been expecting it. She sighed, pushing her black hair out of her eyes, and grabbing her books. She wasn't really paying attention to anything around her until she plowed straight into the back Danial Walker. As she blushed, she grabbed her book that had hit the floor, and said while looking at her feet, "I-I'm s-sorry!", expecting to be ridiculed like she always was. Alot of the other students, Weapons mostly, but some of the Meisters joined in as well, liked to tease her about not having a partner. It aggrivated her how much she let it get under her skin.

"Hm? Oh Ariette, hi there." Stein Jr. says, looking over at her calmly as she grabs his sleeve. "Nice to see you too..." To keep them out of the way, he moved over to the wall with the girl and shifted his books a little, listening to her as she walked with him. So, she wanted to know more about what was going on in the school and had come to him. It made since. His father was a teacher, his mother the new school nurse, so weather he liked it or not he heard all the gossip at school, and his father was never one to not tell him if there was something dangerous going on.
"Well, thank you for that. As a matter of fact I do know a few things, but the hall isn't a very good place to talk." He says, facing her but glancing around. The hall was still full of both students, and now teachers, and what he had to say wasn't supposed to be general knowledge, not yet at least. "Mind meeting me at the front of the school in, say, ten minutes? Things should have calmed down by then."
Giving her a small, if slightly creepy, smile, he turns and heads towards the front doors without another word. This was done partially because he had just seen his father, Dr. Stein, headed their way.

Without a partner of some kind there was no way he could take down that demon gorilla. All of a sudden, however, he felt someone walk into him. Turning, he was about to yell at whoever it was, when he noticed it was only Michaline, and she was already appologuising to him for it.

A Weapon with no master? Would you be interested in going on a mission with me? As it stands my partner left me empty handed, so to speak. What do ya say?"

He stopoed at the end of the staircase scrathcing his head. "Where to go, Where to go." He said while fiddiling with his fingers. Too bad all the places he wanted to go were related to sleep or school. " Well im at a lost, where do you want to go?" He asked while rubbing his hands through his hair. They barely fought together, and on missions Justin would usually calculate the right time to attack so they wouldnt have to put that much effort into fighting there enemy. Most of the time it worked but sometimes they had to fight. Usually if they had to fight, they would lose. But Justin knew that was more that partially his fault." Well lead the way." Juli sighed a breath of relief when she heard the ringing of the bell, which excused everyone from the seemingly never ending speech from Death The Kid. She got up and was going to join Ariette in asking Stein Jr. about what was going on lately, only to have Ariette practically dive at her and grab her arm. "Hey-!" She uttered, being annoyed by suddenly grabbed, but didn't have enough time to really give a full response. She was dragged out of the classroom, though after a few steps she was finally able to get to Ariette's pace. She wasn't slow or anything, it was just that it was hard to get to someone's speed when they're dragging you around.
When Ariette finally let go of her wrist she had an annoyed look on her face and was about to address the annoyance about being dragged, but before she could speak;

Ariette was, well, shocked. He was just going to tell her? Just like that? She was going to actually get her way on something that day? Amazing. She couldn't help but feel a little pleased with herself as Stein Junior agreed to give out information in regards to the school, but was almost suspicious at how easy it was. It was probably just her being paranoid. Not everything had to be a struggle after all, she reminded herself. If that was the case she'd have a whole lot of trouble doing common tasks like opening doors and soup cans. Whatever the matter, Ariette watched as Stein Jr walked off, telling her to meet him outside in ten minutes before flashing her a creepy smile.
"You know." Ariette began, watching the student walk away before facing Juli. "Even though everyone says he's creepy. . . I'd still make out with him." She couldn't keep her smirk from creeping up on her face as she said it. "But that doesn't mean much coming from me, does it?" Ariette said this because, one, it was in her nature, and two, it would probably appall Juli. Snickering Ariette braced for whatever physical or verbal assault she might receive for the comment. She suspected verbal though, because she hadn't said to Stein Jr's face.
"Anyway, my escapades aside, are you coming with me to figure out what this is all about or do you want me to relay the information to you?" Ariette asked before poking Juli in the shoulder. "I don't want you to come if you're scared." She dragged the last word out in an almost sing song-y tone, but her face was pulled back into a more serious expression. "Seriously though, I don't want you to do anything you aren't comfortable with. I know he weirds some people out."

Right, my character was abandoned by her Meister at the DWMA, so no, she has no partner. She wants w=one, but hasn't found anyone yet. I thought maybe there could be some sort of connection between my character and yours, soul. Did you notice the matching last names? :) Idk, it's up to you, I just thought it could be interesting that way.

you guys can start posting whenever you want. i don't think we will be getting, or need, anymore players. like i said, i'll have a Meister up soon, and if another comes along i may drop the secondary i made for them, but for now that should work out well enough

that leaves...A.C.'s weapon and Twili's weapon...and my guy is a Meister who doesn't think he needs a Weapon...and i think in Twili's bio her character doesn't have a partner right now because of memory loss or something like that? so if it's alright with you A.C. or Twili, i'll make another Meister soon and you can be their partner
