Introduction
A sword is not made, it is born. It is born through the life that during the forging it was given. A part of the smith’s heart is left in the blade. And thus the blade gains life. The blade gains a soul of its own and is now out of the smithy’s hand and into the hand of its master. The fire has given it life and the smith has given it a soul. Now it has its own destiny to lead.
It is based upon this principle that armies have been raised. Countries have fallen and empires risen. The blade may find its master. However this isn’t a science. While the blade has the means of life and its own soul it cannot speak. It cannot change destiny and it may only resign to the fate of its master. Yet its own will is still there in its power. It may inhibit its power to those not worthy to wield them and reveal its power to those it can trust. But like trust those powers cannot be revealed at the first meeting. It grows over time until that blade is the companion of a lifetime.
In the history of time there have been legendary warriors, those with upmost command of their blades. But even those, historians have speculated about their command. They say that it was not the upmost power of the blade that been revealed to them. They say that the blades true power had not yet been revealed.
So what would happen if there became people capable of mastering their arte, led in war? The state of flourishing experience. History has asked that question but nobody has been able to answer that question, because those conditions may not arrive in the history of time. But what would happen if it did?

Alright that is the idea of the RP. Now you may be confused about what I meant by the “power” of the swords. And give me a minute to get back to that. But first let me introduce the background of the RP.
Nations
There are 5 nations and I will give a brief description of each here.
Kirtian- Kingdom- Famous for its military might and is located in the north of the continent. However it has a low standard of living. This is the country where the civil war has erupted in. This country has a good system of roads and is relatively easy to pass through, even though it is rather mountainous. It is lined with many fortresses and its cities are terraces to make up for the mountainous territory. Its men are heralded as the strongest in the world and its main economic business is mining. It is cold much of the year up there and snow covers many of the mountaintops. It has a border on plains to Gechuetz in its west, Mountains to Hasal to its south, and Farility to its southeast. Kirtian is rivals with Nattal and not on good terms with Gechuetz but allies with Farility.
Nattal-Republic – Nattal is located in the warm south of the continent. A rather large country, its size is comparable with Kirtian. It has a fairly unstable government, as the government is elected by representatives, corruption is beginning to become more prevalent in the government. However the entire government is not corrupt so there is some stability. Nattal is a rival of Kirtian and on good terms with Farility and on good terms with Gechuetz. Nattal is known for its population and engineering. It is by far the most densely populated of the five countries. It is also the grandest country of all, with most of its buildings multiple floors and with grand mansions and palaces. It is a very urban country with many large cities. (Think renaissance Italy.)However it also has a few rural areas that provide much of the food for the country. It has a northern mountainous border with Hasal and a western desert border with Gechuetz and an eastern grassland border with Farility.
Hasal- Plutocracy (Led by the wealthiest 10 men in the country. The public may call their actions into question however. If found corrupt, the council will complete its session without the member that was found guilty. ) Hasal is the only completely landlocked country of the five. It has one of the most stable governments despite being the smallest country of all. Its government is based upon an annual poll of the ten wealthiest men in the country and they are elected to a council to which people go to with proposals. The government is kept together mainly by the morals of those chosen and while it is not utterly free of corruption, merchants of that quality in Hasal take their business in pride and are quite resistant to corruption. Hasal is a valley, with mountains making its border in the north, east and south, while it is desert in the west. Hasal is rather solitary in politics, preferring to stay out of military or political affairs of other countries. It shares its western border with Gechuetz, northern border with Kirtian and eastern border with Farility and southern border with Nattal. It has a few cities and are often in the style of Greek cities, that are abound with ruins suggesting a grand former empire ruled there.
Gechutez-Theocracy- Gechuetz is a desert empire. It is based in the large western expanses of the desert. It is by far the largest of the five kingdoms and its cities are mainly located on the coasts while having rare cities near oasis more toward the center of its expanse. It has large rock formations that the natives use to navigate. However to those unaccustomed to the desert, they will die. It is a harsh location that has spawned a unique culture and its own religion. The religion is like shintoism, with its leader the one who is most “in tune” with the natural spirits. The men from this region are competent warriors, though not nearly the organization and skill of Kirtian. But what Gechuetz is known for is its spy system. It has an in depth espionage system and its specialists are the best assasans and the best spies in the worldThe towns of Gechuetz are mainly small, due to the lack of resources and the towns are built in a similar style of those in ancient Egypt. Gechuetz is on good terms with Nattal but not on good terms with either Farility or Kirtian. Gechuetz occupies the west of the continent with only the sea on it’s north, south and west. From north to south its borders are with Kirtian, Hasal and Nattal.
Farility-Kingdom- Farility is the knowledge center of the world. It is home to the greatest scholars and tactitians of the time. It is a fairly small kingdom in the southeast of the continent. It has a northern border with Kirtian and western borders with Hasal above the border with Nattal. Farility has the best libraries and tactitians despite having only a modest military. It has few forts and castles, but all are well built and it takes pride in the fact that no castle has ever fallen. The Kingdom is currently very stable, being led by a capable king that has protected the peace across the continent along with a good set of advisors under him. Kirtian has the best navy in the world and has the largest merchant fleet and is said to be the only other country that could make it through the Gechuetz desert. The kingdom is set in low plains that are primarily used for farming and they supply the food for most of the continent in exchange for raw materials such as iron and wool. Farility is much regarded as the most technologically advanced of any kingdom.
Swords/Military
One more thing before I get to describing the properties of the swords. If you wield a sword and were formerly in the army, you MUST HAVE BEEN an officer. The traditional military idea is that the officers get swords and the rest of the division gets lances and axes. Swordsmen are RARE due to the fact of the effort going into making a blade. And as such Blacksmiths are highly regarded, and not anyone is qualified to make a blade. While technically most blacksmiths COULD make a blade, there are one or two in a country that solely on blades, and most blades come from there.
And while it is a single continent there is a heavy emphasis on the Navy of the nation. So while the technology is in the middle ages (Cannons are in existence, but rather rare. They are only used for fortifications as of now as they are ridiculously heavy) the style of the ships is much more advanced. In summation, the ships are like galleons without cannons.
Finally, the swords. As a sword is born it gains a soul. It is a soul of its own with its own values and its own desires. But their powers manifest differently. The swords manifest in elements they’re attributed to, such as fire, ice, lightning, water, or earth. These swords grant their users their power as they desire. And as I stated earlier, these powers grow over time.
But these powers have been classified into categories; defensive, offensive, and support. And they only branch into these categories. For example, if your weapon is an offensive weapon it DOES NOT KNOW abilities other than offensive abilities. They are infinitely specialized and like souls, no two are alike. If you want an example of this, look at my charactors.
Background
As the RP begins, Kirtian has erupted into civil war. A seemingly ragtag band started a surprise attack in a major Kirtian port earning a decisive victory. They escaped with the only ships in the harbor that they did not burn. They raized the fort and took the provisions and escaped. Because the ships in the port were burned they have delayed pursuit, but not for long. Currently they are camped outside a small Kirtian town near the border to Gechuetz, allowing recruits to fill in.
But why is there a civil war? For a while now the king of Kirtian has changed. He has not been looking after the safety of the populous and is benefitting solely the rich. The gap in classes has grown to the point where movement in classes is pretty much impossible. This has enraged the population to the point where it is divided in two. And so civil war has started.
This band is small right now, but is looking to grow in size while it delays in Kirtian territory. And has only recently has been coined with a name.

Finally for the character sheets, follow the guidelines. The only thing that I do not want is a person with no past. If you want to do that, PM me and tell me your ideas for their history, because you MUST have some ideas. However if you do want to keep their bio secret then PM me and I will allow a mystery bio. Secondly, under the equipment, describe your sword. Describe their fighting style and their sword’s appearance and its abilities. Please do it like this:
Element:
Type (Offensive, Defensive, or Support):
Description of abilities (Just a generic idea):
Also if you have an idea for an element that’s rather unusual, PM me. Most likely, I will allow it. It just can’t be godly.
THANK YOU!!!

Grove sat in his tent on the ground. Well, the only other place he could sit was on his bed, and that wouldn't be any more comfortable. It was a standard tent that was set in the middle of the camp, it didn't have any decorations or other ornimental pieces around. The only furnature was a run of the mill cot and a small wooden chest, containing documents and maps and the like. Currently he was looking at one particular map he had laid out on top of the chest. It was one of the least detailed map, but it meant everything to Grove. It had all of the statistics he needed at the side. Number of military troops per country, number of citizins per country, largest cities in each respective country. Of course, Grove smirked as he eyed down the list and came across Haslaf. That was the port where this started. He had organized the raid there and it had gone off without a hitch. He had won an initial decisive victory. That was the first thing that was needed in his plan. If they had lost that battle this rebellion would be over before it had even a chance to spring to life.
But now it was alive, but no means well. Kirtian would undoubtedbly be sending a rather large army brigade soon, one his forces could not hope to match. Because while his ranks were filled with able bodied men, and women surprisingly enough, full of zeal, they were not soldiers. They were commoners. He was going to have to forge them into a fighting force in the middle of the fire. There was no other choice.
Grove rolled up the map and sighed, replacing the map back in its spot in the chest. Soon it would be time. Time to start this for real. As of right now he had some sort of an idea how this army would be formed, but he had not seen the headcount he had. He hoped that there had been plenty of recruits to the field, but he couldn't be too sure. After setting up his tent he scarsely made an appearance outside. So far he had only gone out to eat and to conduct patrols. He had busied himself the rest of the time with preparing his master plan. Soon it would come to trial. Grove rose and headed toward to door to his tent easing his sword in his belt. He was a soldier, not a speaker, but right now he must do what he must. He must always do what was necessary.
He stepped outside his tent and into the bright sunlight of the morning. People had already eaten breakfast by now and most were out meeting their comrades. Some were gambling and some were napping. Next to him he walked over to a group of four teenage boys. "Boys. Go through the camp and rouse everybody. Gather them here. I am going to adress them."
The boys looked startled by his sudden appearance and they scattered in different directions. Grove waited as troops began to flood into the area.

Katakula yawned a bit as she sat outside in the sun. She was leaning up against one of the supports for the tent she shared. there simply weren't enough tents for everyone o have a seperate tent so people had divided themselves up. She had found herself in a tent with two other girls for the night. It wasn't uncommon that there were three to a tent and occasionally there were four. Tent arrangements seemed to change often as people made friends or just wanted to get away fromone another. But at least Katakula had stuck with Rayla. They had met during the raid on Halsaf, as both wielded swords. Nervously she reached down and ran her hand along the metal sheath of hers that currently resided on her lap. She began to wonder. Was this really te right thing to do? Was this right? They were leading a rebellion. But there was no real room to turn back now. She would just have to have faith. She looked up as she saw Rayla rushing her way through the crowd. "Kat! Everybody is gathering in the center of the camp. We'd better move our asses if we want to get a close spot. Grove is going to be adressing us!"
Katakula looked up surprised. That was new. Their commander never had adressed them before. Rayla still called him Grove, because she had been a templar much longer than her. Although that wasn't hard to do. She had joined just before the raid on Halsaf. She stood up grabbing her rapier in her left hand as she allowed herself to be dragged along by Rayla with her right hand. As they reached the central point there already was a sizeable crowd forming up. But in true Rayla fashon they found a place to stand near the front, through much shoving, so they could clearly hear Grove's first address.

Sai Neuro stood near the front of the boat as it approached the harbor of a small town south of Heslaf. "So what brings you to Kirtian?" A near drunken sailor asked as he approached the hooded Sai. "Nothing much, just hoping to meet some people." The sailor looked over the rail and took a long breath. "Still, going by boat from Farility is strange. The Grasslands aren't that hard to cross, so why" Sai removed his hood, his dark red eyes looking towards the shore. "If I didn't, you wouldn't have any business." The sailor laughed and took another drink of ale. "Well, good luck with meeting those people. We should be docking with an hour." The sailor walked away as Sai leaned on the rail. "Travel to Haslef, then find out where they went from there, eh? Shouldn't be too hard." Sai had been ordered by Sect to find the raiders and help them, for now. Disorder in Kirtian was good for Nattal, and it was why they sent Sai. However, if the government deemed it necessary, Sai was to end their little rebellion in a moments notice. Grabbing his sword and walking back to his quarters, he began to contemplate how long this mission would take. Usually its get in, kill them, then get out. He wasn't use to this of mission and that may end up costing him in the future. For now his only concern was to get a little rest before he began his journey.
OOC Notes
"Capt'n, the port be comin' into view now. Won't be more than a moment 'til we're dockin'"
"Very good, Darl. Tell the men to prepare to disembark. We have a lot to do."
"Aye, aye, sir."
The salty sea air blew across the deck as the approached the port town of Kurfan. Ryu's eyes had been closed while he had lay basking in the sun on deck, but the time for simple laziness was over. It had been fruitful hunting out at sea, and they had much to bring in for sale to needy merchants.
Ryu's plan had worked surprisingly well. The flags of Kirtain still flew on the ships they had captured, which had made it more than easy to approach unsuspecting merchants. Not only had they captured thousands of pounds of goods, they had even captured a few vessels that Ryu had sent down to Nattal to sell. As an enemy of Kirtain, Nattal would have no qualms about buying anything stolen from their arch enemies. In fact, they likely would have financed such an operation themselves. This rebellion was a god-sent for them, that was sure. Grove and his marry bunch would have to be careful even if this crazy scheme ever succeeded. After all, the revolution would probably leave Kirtain weak, and Nattal would pounce on them like a cat would a hurt mouse. Of course, the Templars would be hardened veterans if they succeeded, so Nattal might not be ready for a fight. After all, the cornered rat will bite the cat, and the Templars were cornered, no matter how it was sized up.
Why didn't he include himself in the count as a Templar? Probably because he didn't see himself as one. He was a mercenary, not a native of Kirtain, and that meant he was in this for a profit, not for a reform. That being said, he intended to see this through to the end and do everything in his power to help. And if the Templars succeeded and wanted to hire him again, he would be more than willing to oblige. But he didn't feel quite a part of them yet.
The ship made it to the docks remarkably quickly and the men, both sailors and dock-hands, began to unload the precious cargo of spices, weapons, and golds and take them to the Templar's warehouses. The controlled the town, and that made everything go quicker and easier, but they still needed to follow standard procedure and rent the warehouses. After all, a rebellion that caused a whole new rebellion wouldn't last more than a week. After everything was stored and counted, he could start the hunt to find merchants willing to buy the spice. After all, he had stopped virtually all the ship born spice traders from coming into the country, and that meant a monopoly. And monopolies could easily finance an army.
Just then, he heard the call for the men to assemble to hear Grove speak. Grove was a fine man, one of the few reasons that this rebellion might just stand a chance, and the man who had sought Ryu out to hire him. He didn't like talking from what Ryu had seen, but if he said something, it was sure to mean something. He made his way to the tents and found a nice tree to lean against with a prime few of Grove even through all the people. Now all there was to do was wait.

A boy ran by a series of tents, alerting people of Grove's announcement. Orseolo exited the small niche he'd been resting in. So, it was time to make the next move? Fine by him. He twirled his cape around himself as he made his way to the clearing.
He was recruited by Grove and his Rebels shortly before the rebellion had gone full-swing, and he was one of the select sword-bearers among the group. He still wasn't familiar with the others, though, and still felt part of a separate entity. But he still felt this gnawing sensation that he was meant to aid these rebels. Fate had drawn him into this group, and it was his job to make sure they succeeded- even if it cost him his life.
As a man who didn't care much for politics, Orseolo really had nothing to gain from this venture. The only thing he was sure of was that this rebellion was just. He'd seen enough hardship while he was here to ensure that in his mind.

"Hmm... look at them going for it" A man totally covered in a white cloak pointed to a group of Kirtian soldiers moving in a close formation through the plains, as if they were looking for something or someone, slowly he ducked being imitated by two more men that like him were covered with cloaks. The three men stay in the floor waiting for the group to leave after a few minutes of waiting one of the men talked to the one that notice the soldiers "Think they are looking for us?" . The man in front shooked his head slowly "The timing would be to perfect... they should be here for other thing."
"Intimidation..." The third man finally talk revealing with the voice that the one covering with the cloak was actually a woman. "Now that they are at war they must patrol the borders not only to prevent outsiders to enter, but also to prevent people escaping... or let anyone join the Templars." The man leading turned his head to the woman and nod "As expected of Riessa..."
Riessa nod back to the man without taking her sight from the group of soldiers, remembering how all it started. Almost a year back she passed her first "test" crossing the mountain border from her nation to Hasal, where she traveled meeting a lot of people, among them a girl that bonded quickly with her and wanted to join her travels for her own reasons, after the group was formed they put their skills at service after all Hasal was the only nation that would let two girls from Farility move without asking questions, not like Gechuetz where both their name or way of wearing cloths were not welcome, that was they way the nations kept the relationship between each other, it was in a middle of one travel when Riessa and her friend met the pair of men that were gathering information for their lord in Hasal, as a kind of agreement there were not questions between them making only a pact: Riessa would help the men enter Kirtian and they would keep quiet about meeting them, as the group got near the border and the situation of the country was getting more and more evident the man were also showing more signs of fear, it was obvious that they wouldn´t try to enter with the soldiers patrolling.
"Well... our objective was to learn why the king changed so much, but it seems we have failed..." The man turned and smile sadly Riessa could see true regret in his eyes, she slowly take off the cloak revealing her black cloths under it "You did well, is better to return alive and with few information that dying without anyone knowing." The man smiled again while he nod, then he took the cloak and waved to Riessa the other man followed him in silence as they were getting away, both turned their heads surprised after hearing a snap behind them, Riessa had made the sound with her fingers showing a strange smile "Do me a favor, when returning if you see that girl tell her to continue walking the border to the east..." The men nodded and continue . "Shame..." Riessa smiled bitterly as the group of soldiers moved away, after a moment of making sure that they weren´t coming back she ran the fastest she could finally entering Kiritian territory.
Entering was easy the problem was leaving, but for Riessa there was another problem that occupied her mind. As an observer Riessa had to admit, no matter how much she hated it, that Farility was in a big pinch. Her homeland was allied with Kiritian and at the same time was in good terms with Nattal, if Nattal was to attack Farility would have to choose in helping one or the other nation. Now Nattal was in good terms with Gechuetz so fighting alongside them seemed impossible, but... but if Hasal was to enter this war they could make all the forces go against Kiritian. And sadly that was the better for Farility as dividing the army to protect the homeland and at the same time help Kiritian was a bad move...
Sighing Riessa continue the travel walking through the plains being careful on not passing the limits with Gechuetz, not like she was expecting an army to be hiding in the tall grass waiting for someone, but she alone wouldn´t be able to fight big groups with her sword alone... well she wasn´t alone, but for some reason her friend delayed while traveling a strange thing since she had good endurance and stamina.
Riessa stop noticing a town, the town since it was the only one between Gechuetz and Kiritian, After breathing relieved she turned placing one hand in her forehead as if the sun was bothering her eyes. "Now where is she... I better wait for her, just to be sure she won´t lose her way."

Lilith had been delayed from her traveling companion for a short while and was a way behind her in traveling. "I can't believe it took that long to get ready to cross the town border, stupid local police. I hope that I don't keep Riessa waiting too long," she thought as she was traveling in the last direction Riessa had headed, East. A short while later she came across the two men that were with Riessa earlier. They informed her to keep heading East and told her a basic area description of the last place they saw Riessa and then they parted ways and left.
Lilith kept on the same route only passing one small group of travelers who seemed to be taking the same route for common travels that saved them time, they were kind enough to help Lilith out with a local area acknowledgment to double check she was still going the right way. She parted from them shortly after and mumble slightly, "Stupid perverts you'd think they'd be mature enough not to wolf whistle just because they saw part of my corset."
The wind had began to blow shortly before she had left their company and had blown her cape open to reveal her odd set of dress in that country with her corset and buckles, ribbons and long tapered edged dress of dark shades of pink and purple and black. Yet these men apparently found her exotic enough to give her a way to contact them. "Well at least that may come in handy later," she thought as she walked.
She covered her white hair with her hood and started to blend in yet again with the surroundings of the off beaten path and kept traveling at a quick rate. It wasn't long before she passed the area the men had told her about and kept heading East. Only stopping once to help move a turtle off its back, a rather random site to her but nothing too tedious to stop and fix. She frowned after a while and thought, "I have gotta be close by now." Just after she finished that thought she came out of the thin woods to a small field of tall grass and not long after that she found her traveling companion hidden among it. They had developed a way to have obvious hidden signs for eachother, stuff most people wouldn't notice but they knew what it meant.
After following the few signs she was mere feet from Riessa and smiled at her, "Sorry I hope I didn't make you wait too long, those border patrol police were really snarky, but I guess all it takes to get ride of lowbie grunts like that is a cleavage shot and a nice flutter of the eyelids," she said in a soft but joking tone. It took them mere minutes to get to the town and inside of it undetected by using the best disguise of all, acting normal and coming in with a large group of people. "What's our plan now that we're here?" Lilith asked as they walked down one of the streets of the town, no one would peg them to be anything more than travelers or maybe odd ball locals.

Grove watched calmly as people filtered into the main area and the crowd steadily grew. There were more people than he thought here at first glance, although a headcount would have to wait until later. Right now he had to start making them soldiers. Grove reaced down to his waist and drew his blade without a sound from its plain leather sheath. He looked down at the blade and then at the crowd. He rose his blade slowly to his forehead until the flat of his blade was flat against his forehead. In one swift motion he rotated his blade nonety degrees so the edge of his blade was now resting in his forehead. After maintaining this position for a second he flicked his wrist down and nibly reversed his grip, the blade making a half moon arc, so the pommell of the sword was where the blade should be. Then he thrust his sword down so that the edge impaled itself into the ground next to him.
All through this time he had been looking at the crowd gathered in front of him, but he had not really seen them. It was automatic to him. Now he prepared for his address. "That is how you conduct a salute. Remember it. From this point onwards you ARE soldiers as you have chosen to become. And from this point on, you may not turn back. I have not taken an active roster of you yet, so any deserters now will not be persued. But after today, if you leave, we will kill you. There WILL be no dissention in the ranks. If you have a problem become a better soldier. I will choose officers to the best of my abilities and I will assure you they will conduct you as fairly as possible. Otherwise they will no longer be a member of our ranks."
"This is not a republic. You cannot elect your officers and you cannot veto me. I am the commander of this army and I will see to it that as many of you as possible will live. Sometimes you may think I have made a wrong decision, but be assured it is the best damn decision I had at the time. I will not tolerate dissention and it will be severely punished. However I will tell you now, there are only four ways to get you sentenced to death here. One, conduct unbecoming a soldier. If there is anyone who is doing ANYTHING that is against any law or against regulations. I will kill them myself. Two, Misuse of rank. If anyone abuses powers I vest in them, I will kill them myself. Three, Desertion. If anyone abandons this army and their brothers and sisters, they will be killed. Four, cowardice. If you EVER are to have found to have committed cowardice, make no mistake, YOU WILL BE KILLED IN THE MOST PAINFUL WAY POSSIBLE. We have no room for those with doubts in their minds in this army. The fate of Kirtian rests on our soldiers. We have thrown off the balance of power in the world, and we are the only ones who can make it better than what we came here with. We are the only ones with that power left, and we must win to restore lawfulness to Kirtian. From this point on, I hereby commission all those gathered here before me as soldiers."
With those final words Grove pounded down on his sword with both hands, driving it further into the earth. It was done. Now they were officially under his command and they were now soldiers for liberating Kirtian. Grove removed his hands from his sword and pulled his sword up from the ground and resheathed it. "Here are my orders. Tell the rules regulated to you to any and all who were not present at this meeting or who come to join our ranks later. In addition aquire a weapon from the storehouses in town if you have not done so already. And all those who have swords remain until I dismiss you seperately. Dismissed!"
With that Grove turned around breifly and exhaled a deep breath. He hated speaking to people. It was such a chore that he had to do. Well, it must be done he thought as he heard footsteps scampering around behind him. As they died down he looked backwards at those who carried swords. Most were young men, they looked like most had been apprenticed to a blacksmith for at least a time to obtain their blades. But four stuck out to him on first sight. Two girls, surprisingly that were standing next to each other were the clocest to him. The other was another man standing apart from them and another leaning against a tree nearby. They were the only four left of about the ten who looked immediately like they had what he wanted. In the eyes of the boys he saw a slight fear, and looking at them he could tell they were trying hard as hell to look like soldiers. But these four. They were standing more relaxed than the boys and they had it in their eyes. That one look that a fighter fears most.
Resolve.

"Tch, so i missed the meeting eh?" His voice, slightly gruff and raspy from his travels, was kept mainly for himself as Ashtan strode easily through the mass of people that surged to do what their commander had asked them. One man paused momentarily to view the cloaked figure, and the blade he carried at the back of his waist. "You just arrived?" He asked cautiously, Ashtan nodded in response and the soldier jerked a thumb back at the meeting ground. "The commander just set rules and ordered us to spread them, mainly the ones involving death." He relayed "One, no misconduct, two, no abuse of power, three, no running, and four, no cowardice." He waited until the Gechuetzian nodded his understanding before continuing "Seeing how you carry a sword, i'd suggest you get to the grounds immediately, he hasn't finished with the sword users yet."
Ashtan watched as the man turned back and jogged following the crowd leaving the warrior to continue on his way to the meeting grounds. Even as he approached he could see already at least ten standing by, experience lent a helping hand here, and Ash could already see the slight fear in all but two woman's eyes. He grinned, with a deceptive move he accelerated and took his place at the end to the line beside the two girls with a swirl of his cloak. hopefully he didn't make too much of a scene as he entered.

Ryu pushed himself of the tree and walked over toward the commander. He wanted to check all the people with swords, right? No reason not to be first. Whatever he wanted was probably important, quite like everything that was just said. Now that had been interesting. He had know that Grove would be a more than competent leader, but Ryu's expectations had been passed. Grove was a hard and merciless leader, just what the ragtag group needed. Sure, some of them would definitely run away in fear now no matter what the punishment for it. But those would be the ones who would have run on the battlefield instead. And that was far worse. People fleeing from a camp could hurt a war, people fleeing from the field could lose it. Now it was just those who would fight.
He stopped in front of the now commander, and briefly saluted. He began, "Commander Grove, before anything else, I'd like to inform you of what I've been able to do out at sea. I was able to pretty much stop all trade coming from the south, which, as you know, is most of it. I took four trade galleons and one brigantine without sinking them. I took all of the galleons' cargo and sent them down to Nattal to be sold. If you don't mind, I'd like to keep the brigantine as one of our fleets ships. It isn't as good as our Brig of War or the Sloop of War, but it is a brig, and they are always effective in combat. I actually was able to recover a cannon that was being transported by sea to a Kirtain fortification, so we could possible use it to make a fort of our own or something like that, although I don't think there was much of that 'gunpowder' they use to fire it. Is this alright with you?"

"Have you heard the Templars of Steel are gathering their forces and they have a decent number of sword users to." A man sitting at a table discusing rumors says. Eyes shooting open a man in a black coat gets up with large smirk on his face "time to hunt" Dire thinks slamming his lance down on the mans table. "Where are the Templars?" Dire asks as he picks the guy up by the collar. Tossing the man down because he fainted out of fear of Dire, Dire walks out of the inn laughing to himself.
As he holds his lance with one hand by the very end of it almost as if he was holding a oversized sword the towns militia arrives surrounding Dire. Without giving anyone any more time to prepare he swings lance in a wide semi circle cutting apart their lances and axes. A few of the guys abadoning the circle dive away from the strike. "Good now its a fight" putting his other hand on his lance he swings it down vertically at a soldier. The soldier moved forward to just before the blade, and blocked it, Dire kicked the man in his stomach. "Now if you don't mind I will be going." Dire says the soldiers simply look confused Smiling to himself Dire slowly walks out of the town with the soldiers following him to make sure he didn't come back and pushes off into the water with a small fishing boat.

Lee sat atop a windy hilltop observing the proceedings of the rebel camp from afar. His cloak billowed around him while a silver great sword rested in his lap. He drummed his fingers on the blade contemplating the events of the day. He'd observed as the rebels raided a port city, completely overtaking it. They had completely secured it and even managed to capture incoming trading ships. Most amazing of all was the fact that they had abstained from the usual wanton destruction and evil associated with the many uprisings Lee had observed. He had listened as what he assumed to be the leader, gave a speech to the troops. Lee could garner very little about the man from his speech, aside from his resolve and determination. Now the many spectators had begun to filter through the camp spreading the word, while a select few waited to be inspected by the leader. These waiting individuals all had one thing in common, they all carried a blade.
The blade, thought Lee.
It was the reason for this pilgrimage. The words of his master even now echoed through his mind.
Every man has the right to be born, and so, every blade has the right to be forged. A blade’s destiny is not tied to the first hand to wield it. A blade’s destiny is something that man may never comprehend and I am merely its instrument.
Lee was searching for understanding, the understanding to fully comprehend his master's words. Then, and only then, would he be able to declare himself a true master of the craft. Even now the only soul he could truly comprehend was that of Nebakanezer, his own sword. It was bound to him, their destinies entwined. Right now he could only gather pieces of the greater story.
Lee stood and strode down the hill. He hovered on the edge of those who would wait to be inspected and watched for the answer he so desired.

When Rinku heard that there was a sort of gathering on the outskirts of Kurfan, and that the gathering was to be a rebellion against the king, he set his mind and heart right on it. He had walked brisky down the streets, not daring to run in fear that it might attract attention.
There was a buzzing of whispers around him as people took in the sight of his gray hair and pale skin, his tall frame and his features. He grit his teeth. It was happening again.
"Is that..."
"Igniter Zuroku's son---!"
"Quick, get away..."
"I think some of the king's soldiers are paroling this part of the city..."
"You can't be serious..."
"I'll meet you later..."
"Quick, get out of here!"
Rinku felt like his teeth were about to break, he was churning them together so hard. Though he was covered in a traveling cloak to hide his face--and his sword--people seemed to be able to realize him. Was he really that recognizable?
Don't think about it, he told himself. They're just idiots. Focus on your goal.
So, with more whispering suddenly breaking out around him, he dragged himself along the streets, impatient to get to the camp that would hopefully change his life.
---
"Well..." he muttered, after a few hours. "Here we are..."
He had arrived at the entrance of the camp, where a man who looked sturdy and strong was giving out a speech, brandishing a sword. Rinku watched from a distance, a crowd of people already in front of him. As the man called out the rules, Rinku couldn't help but swallow a gulp. So, if he joined this, there was no turning back.
His sensitive fingers found themselves on the sword at his waist, and curled around the hilt of the blade. "Father..." he closed his eyes, remembering the last smile that his dearly beloved parent had given him. "This is for you...And for mother...And..." His heart was in ruins, having to think of his 6-year old little sister. Now he had no doubt about this. He was going to join. He was going to join and use his life as best as possible for what was called the Templars. He was going to help take down the king. "...and for Cass."
When the crowd dispersed, Rinku pushed through, wanting to talk to the man called Grove himself. He wanted to make sure that he was following a leader of brains and heart, and not one just hungry for power.
So eager he was to reach the commander, that he bumped into a stranger, and nearly fell back.
"Hey!" the stranger said."Watch where you're going, ye bastard!"
Rinku didn't have time for this. He rolled his eyes and continued his pace to meet Grove...
Then the same voice of the gruffy stranger came from behind: "Hey! HEY!! Get back here you--""
Rinku ignored him. Mistake. The stranger grabbed him hard on the shoulder and spun him around to face him. "What, no manners?!" he bellowed, spraying the young gray-haired man with spit. "Who do you think you are, huh?!"
"Let go of me..." Rinku seethed between his teeth. His patience was on the verge of snapping.
The stranger continued: "And now you think you can tell me what to do! A little brat like you! You should know better than to---!!"
ENOUGH. With one swift motion, Rinku withdrew his sword and sent a hard water whip across the stranger's face. A loud smack! followed and the stranger staggered back, the left side of his face red and even bleeding. A hand went to his bruising cheek, and his features contorted into a hideous frown.
Rinku couldn't help but let a smile play across his lips. "You think I'm scared of you, fatty? Come on, go ahead then. Kill me."
The stranger let out a roar, and charged at him. Rinku sidestepped to the right, and the mad stranger fell on his heels. He stumbled to his feet again, and reached out in an attempt to grab his light opponent. Rinku ducked to the left, and walked a few paces away with long strides. He turned around to address the man, letting out a laugh this time. It wasn't a normal laugh though...it seemed a bit...insane."Who do I think I am, you say?"
Quite a crowd had gathered around them, interested in the pair. Murmuring were flowing through, but this time, Rinku was able to ignore them. He was focusing all his energy and conscious on this man, and this one man only.
The stranger coughed, and quickly regained his balance. "I ain't losing to you."
"Then come on." Rinku twirled his sword in his fingers, taunting him.
With another pathetic battle cry, the stranger withdrew a sword from his back and charged.

Grove shouted at the now skirmishing pair. "STAND DOWN. SAVE IT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WE ARE FIGHTING!" At that moment Grove summoned a razor thin spire in between the two men, halting the charging man's assault. "I don't care who the hell it is. If a swordsman is EVER fighting another again in this camp, I WILL confiscate your blade. You will become a regular soldier and diciplined. IS THAT CLEAR!?"
Grove took a breath and regained his composure.
"On the other hand. That is good news Ryu and I will consider that later. But now I will discusswhy I have kept you here. As swordsman, you are the most eminently qualified to be officers. But I am going to take it that none of you have ever been in an army much less commanded troops. But before I get into that, I have one more thing. Now, I want you to attack me. This is your one chance to userp me. Strength is what is important right now, and If none of you can kill me then I retain control of this army. I'd say thirty minutes will do for this, I can't have it go too long can we? And if you will not attack, forfeit your blade now."
He slowly drew his sword and got into his battle stance, before smiling a bit and talking once more.
"Oh, and one more thing. I will kill you if you are careless."
This is the part where Grove was most calm. He was a soldier, and this is what soldiers did. However, it was also the riskiest part of his plan for this army, but also the point where if it went well, he would completely obtain the respect of his generals. That's what he needed. He needed them to understand WHY he was leading the army, why he was capable of it. And he needed to test them. Maybe a few would throw down their swords right now and run, and he was fine with that. And he was not joking about killing them. It was necessary. IF he lead them into battle under an inept commander, it would be commiting suicide for all of the good soldiers. Sure, it may injure some, and that might hurt him a bit short term, but if everything went well, only those with the desire and the resolve to lead troops ino battle would be left. And then he could truly begin, starting from the top down.
"Come on!" He said as he braced himself for the first wave of attacks.

Surprise flickered across his face as Ashtan listened closely to the commander. Indeed challenging everyone to test their might would easily frighten some into leaving, an just as much test the limits of those who fight for ranking. He sighed, scratched his head and stepped forward taking a quick drink of water from his canteen to moisten his throat. "Alright then." The outlaw's voice rang through the clearing, sounding much older then he looked. He reached up, loosened his cloak and attacked in a sudden fury.
Whether the surprise attack worked or not, Ashtan was moving to quickly to noticed, as he was loosening his cloak he shifted so the cloak actually was flung in front of him masking his first attack. He drew his Black blade in a sudden horizontal slash sending a spread of sharpened shards in a wide arc, several piercing his cloak as he sprinted towards the side, blade held in a reverse style grip. Shirtless, and with legs well built from years of running through sand and rocky ground, The outlaw closed in quickly at an angle, blade flashing dully as he switched it to a standard grip and slashed, aiming for the commanders sword arm.

Grove smiled as he saw one swordsman leap forwards toward him. So this man was the first to go, but was quickly surprised as he threw up his cloak as a screen. Well, that meant that he couldn't see what Grove was doing. He danced backwards from the cloak and watched as shards came piercing through the cloak. Luckily, Grove had dodged backwards, so was able to avoid any serious damage from the attack, but one of the shards caught him in the shoulder. So this man was offensive, and produced shards. He was clever, but that trick only worked once. HE still didn't know how the projectiles were fired but he had a good guess.
Suddenly the man came tearing around the cloak falling to the ground with his sword in a surprising reverse grip. He was fast! But as he aproached he switched to a standard grip again and attacked. Grove again dodged, manuvering his blade so his sword slid down. So he had to create distance again. He had a plan. He tried to deliver a quick left uppercut, as it was faster than using his sword and jumped backwards, creating a spire where he had been standing. Perfect, it was set.
But not really. He slashed his sword around his body as one of the girls wielding a surprisingly large sword dashed back out of the way. He was jucky she didn't have as light footsteps as the other guy. He created another quick spire to cause her to jump back and he turned sideways, in a straight line between te two that had attacked him, and his back to his tent. He didn't want any more surprises from behind.

"What's our plan now that we're here?"
"The same as always..." Riessa shrugged slowly as if she was confused, instead looking around her carefully with subtlety trying to find out if the village was openly supporting the Templars, probably not as there were patrols of soldiers very near, and on the other hand trying to fin out how well prepared was this town if there was a surprise attack just turning her head to smile a little to Lilith "We try to see if we can help, and if we´re lucky get away without being recognized..."
Riessa turned her head still trying to find out where to head next, still thinking in her friend. Lilith... Well Lilith was Lilith, there was no better way to describe her... unique in both her way of acting and thinking, where Riessa would sneak Lilith would try to enter normally, making Riessa constantly wonder if she really was a soldier.
Lilith had some history untold, but there was no pressure to her, she was a good partner to travel with... and to trust, Riessa just had to ignore her tongue that sometimes, and Riessa really would like it to be sometimes, was sharper than a sword, after a short sigh Riessa´s thoughts were stop by a pair younglings passing at her side.
"I´ll fight for Kirtian real hard just you watch me..."
"Prize..." Riessa turned slowly following the pair of boys with her sight making signs with her eyes to Lilith trying to tell her that they were close now. "So they are entering the town talking high? Wrong... in a lot of ways..." After the pair passed them Reissa started to walk in the same direction from which they came, time was of the essence and she was not interested in questioning a pair of boys that would probably act high infront of them, like most of the men, instead following the now sudden group of incoming people was the best action to take.
And to her surprise sounds of fighting were getting louder as she got closer to what it appeared to be the camp, hoping that Lilith would be following her, and as she should expect there as a battle going on, Riessa got close to one man that was looking at the combat with interest. "Excuse... mind me telling whats going on?" The man turned showing a lot of excitement. "The commander just stop a fight and started another, he says that all the ones wielding swords can challenge him! This is great maybe we will get another commander!"
"So vague, but still..." Riessa looked at the men fighting, but only one catch her full attention a man that had something that she would never have, the same thing that people wanted her to show : the discipline that one got in the military life. [i]"So that´s the commander... good stance covering his back, but still..." After a moment Riessa walked back some steps and crossed her arms over her chest, talking very low so that only Lilith would hear her, and that if she followed her, "If we do this we will enter fully... Just remember that if our kingdom takes action we will be traitors... I... I find this interesting, creating a new history, just to let you know... I´m not going to attack him... yet."

Lee watched with increasing interest as the captain separated two soldiers with a sliver of earth. Chen had taught Lee that a lot could be told about a person by the way their sword's soul would manifest. If Lee remembered correctly, it was that someone who wielded earth would be strong. Not just strong in body but in mind and spirit. This man was obviously suited to be a leader. His announcement to the sword bearing soldiers only strengthened Lee's beliefs. If this Grove's plan worked than dissension among the ranks would be far from an issue. Though, if the rule were to remain in place than some upstart soldier might try to take advantage of it. They might even attack their leader in the midst of battle when his back was turned and his attention occupied. He would have to crush any hopes of such a victory with this single opportunity.
Lee moved further into the gathered crowd, his hood drawn further over his face, to stand beside the two soldiers who had been separated earlier. He wanted the best view possible to assess this leader's skill. If the leader's plan worked than he would offer this man his services. With so many destinies coming together on such a grand scale it would surely hold the end to his quest. The answer, he felt, would soon be within his grasp.

Lilith noticed the two boys talking as well and caught Riessa's signs easily. they were so used to each other by now they could almost talk without speaking. She simply followed behind Riessa as they came to a small duel and then moved on to see a man standing with his back guarded, good stiff posture, an heir of confidence but nor really arrogance. Lilith pulled her cloaks hood down and smiled over at Riessa.
"But still what? There's nothing to do but move forward for us at the moment," she said somewhat trying to reassure Riessa. "I'd also hope that our home would be intelligent enough to not get backed into a corner like that." she added, then she looked down at the ground and picked up a pebble. "Even the most brutal and physically stronger person can be felled by this single pebble if the person using it is smart enough to know HOW to use it. I'd hope that our country could use their 'pebble' against the brute forces of the other countries, though I could see them not wanting to." she went onto say as she tossed the pebble up and down catching it in her hand.
"Now back to the present, lets see if this is indeed the guy we're looking for or if he's just some stand in trying to look the part," Lilith said with a small smile forming on her lips. She and Riessa could be total opposites at times, where as Riessa would take the long wordy route to find out information in a situation like this, Lilith preferred to cut to the chase and use actions to verify their hunch quickly. She leaned back on the tree she and Riessa were under and caught the pebble on last time, "Think fast," she said childishly not really announcing it but not hushing it so only she and Riessa could hear it. Then she held the pebble in between her middle finger and her thumb and snapped her finger sending the pebble flying at the man at a rather high speed. "I'm sure if he's as good as the commander is said to be he'll be able to catch that easily.... If not, I doubt he's the commander and he'll just have a little mark on his temple for a few days," she said as if it wouldn't be a big deal.

Grove's eyes widened slightly as he looked forward toward the source of the voice. What the heck? He barely had enough time to react as he moved his head sideways, some small projectile whizzing by his left ear and going through the canvas of his tent. Well that was interesting. What the hell was that? He looked over at the source of the projectile to see a girl standing there. She was the source of it? Well, she was looking his way, so he figured it was her.
"It's rude to inturrupt a fight. Have some manners. Either join in the fight or watch. Either way, I don't care."
He spun suddenly again as he slashed his blade. It was that same damn girl from before with the Zweihandler. She dodged around his blow and retaliated with ehr own cut. He raised his blade and blocked it with the flat of the blade. She had guts, he'd give her that. She was the first one in this skirmish to have an extended engagement with him. Suddenly she smiled. Damn! She knew how to manipulate that thing! The sword stirred and morphed, hooking around behind his shoulder. She tugged at it, the new hook designed to rip into his shoulder. He disengaged his blade and dropped to the ground. The blade nicking his shoulder and slashed horizontally, cutting her right across her midriff. It wasn't a deep wound, but it was something to think about. Perfect.
He stood up as she ducked back and he turned to face his next attacker. It was the man from before, the one who had instigated the earlier brawl he had stopped. Although he was holding his sword awkwardly. It was apparent he had trained with it, but never on a person. He was working at a stationary target. Grove moved slightly sideways as an overhead swing landed next to him.
"Too slow."
His sword slashed in a lethal arc and uppercut across the man's chest. He was not worthy of becoming an officer. And he paid that price. The man fell to the ground, cold.

His sword slashed in a lethal arc and uppercut across the man's chest. He was not worthy of becoming an officer. And he paid that price. The man fell to the ground, cold.
OOC Notes
As the instigator fell Ashtan seized the opportunity and launched himself forward towards the commander, his sword flashed upward, a vertical line of shards fired at the brief opening left after the commander's strike. Even as he did Ashtan followed it up swiftly, his sword a blacked trail as he went into a furious combination, using both hands at an equal pacing, the hilt constantly flipping between standard and reverse grip as he pushed forward. Just as suddenly as he attacked he retreated, firing off another vertical line of shards to dissuade any counter attacks.
The outlaws mind worked furiously as he thought to his opponents style. He was fast, but still slower then Ash himself. The commander still had the upper hand in strength and technique and their powers he could consider equal in both ability and damaging terms. Still, The Commander's power could be controlled, making it easier for him when fighting in large battles, Ashtan's on the other hand was more chaotic. Any widespread shot, while increasing his chances to hit, could possible injure allies and innocents, the sole reason why he wasn't firing off more. The fact that the commander's back was to a tent allowed him to fire off vertical lines, but with the gathering crowd, his power became increasingly limited. Spires versus Shards, Ashtan grinned at this as he skipped sideways, eyes flickering for the next opportunity to attack.

Grove smiled as the Shards were launched again. He was coming again. Grove turned toward him and dashed straight toward him. So reversing his grip caused the shards to appear. That makes it a little easier. His power was his own weakness. If Grove got close, the shards were neglegable as he wouldn't have the oppertunity to change his grip. In a close fight Grove had the upper hand, but he was incredibly fast. He would have to bully him into a corner.
Grove only ducked to the side enough to avoid a damaging hit, the shards cutting his left arm. It was worth the sacrifice. Grove brought his sword close to his body as he neared and lunged into an sideways swing of his sword in an attempt to cut him across the chest. Maybe he had caught him by surprise be charging, and if it didn't work, he would still approach a corner.
But at any rate he was an excellent fighter. He had proved his mettle. So he was the second to pass the test. Now he just had to land a blow that would make him think twice. And time was running out, five minutes was alreay out.

Sai stood in the middle of Heslaf, kicking a burned piece of wood. "Really did a number on the place." He bent down and gripped ash from the flames in his hands. A figure emerged, walking to beside the hooded Sai. The man was a soldier of Kirtian. "Terrible, but that's war. This one feels different though." Sai smiled and a small laugh came from him as he stood up. "War? War never changes. Blood, death, destruction, last time I checked those didn't change. The way in which its fought will always evolve, but the true nature of it is a constant. I hate war." The soldier grunted and crossed his arms. "Then what do you suppose we do, let them get away with it?" Sai turned west and started walking without replying to the soldier. He walked out of the town and mounted a horse he bought at the dock where he arrived. His journey now was going to be long, but they were all long in their own way. Sai gently kicked the sides of the horse and it began to gallop. His next destination was set. He wanted to get there before they left, otherwise he might fall behind again.
OOC Notes
Lee bent over the corpse of the fool Grove had dispatched and closed the man's eyes. He had been a fool yes, but was stupidity truly a crime worthy of execution? The crafter's belief in this commander was wavering, thoughts of the men his master had crafted for came charging back to the forefront of his mind. One, a bandit who became famous by leaving the heads of his victims hanging from trees. Another, a soldier who left not a single survivor in his wake, soldier or civilian, mother or child. Lee unconsciously squeezed the grip of Nebakanezer till his knuckles where white. He did not want to believe this Grove individual could be like them.
OOC Notes
Despite his initial defensive shuffle, Ashtan still found himself pushed even if slowly, into a corner as his sword flashed out catching the blade with his cross hit and forcing it overhead, the man obviously thought that getting in close would negate any chances of shards being produced, He missed out on two factors. One was that his blade was shorter then the commander's making much more efficient in close combat, and two, his shards can be produce whenever he decides it, just as long as he's making a slash.
They closed in, swords locked overhead and with precision Ash jabbed out a knife-hand aimed for the commander's throat. Already he could see the commander dodging it, but it'd give him the room, and opening, he needed to fire off a horizontal barrage of shards, this time with critical potential for damage.

Grove locked blades with the man over his head. He was surprised that he could still swing his sword well enough to attack him. Granted, his sword was not made for especially close combat, but he was not helpless. He was about to throw a punch as he saw his hand as a knife jerk toward his neck. Why like that? A fist would have been far more effective. Grove ducked down below the blow and immediately countered. He wanted to turn this to hand to hand combat. His counter was a sweep of his leg designed to take out his opponents legs. At the same time he summoned a spire at an angle behind his opponent, the spire designed to hit his opponents side, in order to incapacitate him.
The leg sweep should distract him long enough to either cause him to jump and be doomed or kick his leg away and be doomed or to do nothing about it and be doomed.

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
I had plans... but It didn't seem like there was a lot of posting. I was expecting either a) More questions or b) everybody to acknowledge that they were done asking questions before I continued.
However, neither senario happened

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
Alright...
With the recent dropouts I will be changing a few things. For my last post I will be editing for 5 squads. And that means that since Akins left that Lee Yuan will be paired with Grove.
I will be editing this in my post shortly (Hopefully sooner than later)

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
*crawls over to the monitor mumbling with a clear hangover* uggggh sorry I haven't been posting I have soem severe writers block for this rp atm and some real life drama with fiance's and gay friends fighting and blah blah blah, just assume atm my character is following quietly behing where ever void's is because atm I don't think I have what it takes to make a truly good post for this rp but I'll try to get one up when the hang over is gone at the very least, so maybe later tonight.... cake shots and everclear spiked Dr.Pepper for the win.
Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
Heh, a lot of questions... basing myself on the introduction post about Kirtian I imagine a lot of mountains here and there , of course not one after another like if they were a chain, I only want to imagine the locations of places (starting to imagine the castles hidden like the Neuschwanstein is...).
Hmm why I feel that I needed to ask more about the military situation than anything...

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
Hey guys! Just wanted to tell you that I think I went a little in over my head with all these RPs. I started my own, and its taking over my whole life! So I wanted to let you know, since I've only posted like... twice, I think I'm gonna pull Akins out. I'm sorry if you guys had plans and all, but I don't think I'm contributing well at all. :P
Hope everything works out for you guys!

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
Oh yes, and even if your character did not attack, please come to the medical tent. I have a plan. (Evil grin)
Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
In regards to my last post. You may be thinking WTF I just godmodded! That's not entirely true. While in normal circumstances, that would be an epic Godmod, I have talked with Chari extensively about this and he has approved it.
So my actions were with Chari's consent before I start getting the wrath of everybody brought down upon me!

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
Actually I dont mind... my way of thinking is not absolute, I just think ... no now I know that battle scenes in movies have twisted my mind... fine then, post edition it is... just give me... a reasonable way to look natural, as you want, let me think for a minute then, it will look good... or I least that I hope.
*Edit
Done! And now that I´m doing self discovering I notice that I tend to force my posts to have "fitting" quality than quantity... *sighs* Be right back I will place my head in a bucket full of cold water...

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
But it doesn't fit with the persona Grove is giving. It would be out of his character right now to just say "go off to the side and watch". And what would stop them getting involved again? They already withstood him once. He doesn't want then to know that he has no intentions of killing them, and that would be a dead giveaway. His only option is to beat them. Even the best logic can be flawed, and also, with the pyramidal attack, how would it be possible to grab every single one? You have two arms, and a it would pierce your elbow. I'm not saying it's impossible to dodge, it's just a new equation. Up until now there has been only one spire, so it is reasonable to assume that is the extent of his ability. Like how Grove assumed that switching the grip created the shards, and not the swing. He got lucky that he had been expecting the circular attack and that his counter to the attack naturally got him out of the way. For being stationary, it would be exceptionally hard to dodge, much less go in there and counter it and then go back.
I just want to get this going further, and I really don't know what you want to do, but the rate we're going I don't see an end in sight. It's not bad to be a shiskabob for now, as Rayla was already beaten and I have six other people to get to. If you want to dodge it, fine, but I think Inferno was planning on ending his fight, so we could move on, so could at least one of you go down?
It's an odd request, but I know I've got others chomping at the bit.

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
Oh good I was able to follow the battle. Let me think ... how about this ?
You say that you are tired of fighting Ashtan , right? And it seems like Riessa pass to you... how about just acting like a commander and giving a pass, but threating them to a slow death if they interfere? You know soldiers interfering with your orders...
Or I can change my post...

Re: [OOC] Souls Born Through Flame
I don't know. Your origonal post made sense. I still need to fight about 6 other people right? And there's no real way you gould see it coming, and your logic was right. I just wanted to make sure you knew what you were doing. It wasn't designed to be a fatal blow after all. This is a test to see who would be willing to put their lives on the line or had the skill to become a commander. Grove wants to avoid killing them if possible, so he doesn't want to kill them. Both of your characters have proven that so Grove just needs to give them an injury to ensure they don't butt in any longer, and to ensure that they know they were beaten.
So change it if you want, but I still have a lot of battles to fight.
