Introduction
The year, for humanity, is 180 AFC: After First Contact. Earth and her colonies are now a member state of the Galactic Alliance, an economic and political union of various countries and species across the galaxy. What was once a strongest supernation in the world, the Galactic Alliance now faces economic depression and political chaos, brought on by the now twenty year old war against the largest military force the galaxy has ever known: The Zerak Empire, lead by a single race, the Zerakodians. They are blessed with powers of the mind, as are many of the galaxies sentient species, telekinesis, control over nature and her elements, and even the power to invade one's thoughts. Their powers, mixed with their impeccable social and political control over their conquered worlds make the Zerakodians a powerful foe for the chaotic Galactic Alliance. Humanity must do all it can, along with it's fellow Alliance species, to rid the world of the Zerak Empire. Of course, amidst the chaos is the Duchess, a pirate vessel, ignorant of the political state of the worlds or what war is being fought where. The Duchess and her crew are, or were, pirates of all species and origins, all joined in the hopes of making illegal profit. Unfortunately, the Duchess and her crew have been experiencing slight difficult on the profit front as of late, and after another spectacularly self-defeating adventure, they head to the planet of Anisary Eight, the city capital of the Galactic Alliance, in hopes of rebuilding their ship and recruiting more able-bodied crew mates...

The so called servant species of the Posonids, coming from the same homeworld, are the Oradess, who have been slaves in Posonid culture for hundreds of years. The Galactic Alliance, though generally disapproving of the Posonid slave trade, allows it to flourish throughout Alliance planets, due to their reliance on Posonid economic strategy and their colonies bustling economies. However, countless revolts and rebellions eventually led to the end of their colonial supremacy, until they were left alone on their home world. Now, even their home world has fallen into decay, with most Ensindijee surviving off scavenging to survive and make profit with the world beyond their skies. Still, the supremacy of the Empire lives on in their culture, and the belief that their King holds power on a galactic level is still prevalent. The Engreint division of it's people has made it a self loathing empire, with the higher ranked castes refusing to even speak to the lower. This problematic division has caused their diplomacy with the Galactic Alliance to be nearly nonexistent. They weigh around three hundred to four hundred pounds.
Humans
Home World: Earth
Human Culture, The Galactic Alliance:
The Humans are a young, economically depressed species. Having made first contact less than two hundred years ago, Humanity is the third youngest advanced species in the galaxy to have emerged. In their time they have managed to build up a sizable military and create a moderately sized colonial empire. Throughout their galactic history weak economic policies have caused depression and poverty to be rampant within the Human colonies, and often times they have been accused of hurting the Galactic Alliance more than they benefited it. In the war with the Zerak Empire they have avoided battle when possible, often taking a defensive approach, as opposed to the aggressive stance of the front lining Enofha, who Humanity considers to be it's greatest rival.
Nesros

"Excuse me!" The official said as he approached the two freaks. "Excuse me, citizens! What is this vehicle?" He asked.
"A ship, clearly," The Rajako muttered, his voice low and authoritative.
"Yes, but is it a registered ship?" The official asked. "Are you citizens of the Galactic Alliance, and is your ship registered? If not I'm afraid you two will have to come with me."
"Of course it's registered!" The Rajako laughed heartily. "My name is Piemar Piemarus, and this is my second mate, Robony," He said as he pointed to the android. "This is our ship, the Gingerbeer. Registration code eight two two o' twenty."
"Right," The official muttered as he glanced down to his holopad. After a second of searching he had found what he was looking for. "....Right," The Officer continued, glancing up at the Rajako. "It... seems to check out. Enjoy your stay, Captain Piemarus. Is this your entire crew or?"
"This is it!" The Captain replied hastily, "And this is indeed all there ever will be, or were!"
"...Right," The official muttered again. "Well Captain, enjoy your stay, as I've said. The Gingerbeer will be in good hands."
The Rajako gave the man a friendly smile before walking off down the skystreet, the android beside him. However, the Rajako was in fact not a Captain Piemar Piemarus, the android beside him was not a robot named Robony, and their ship was indeed not the Gingerbeer. No, instead they were the dreaded Captain Beth, his devious first mate android Stata Facta, and the greatest pirate ship the Galaxy had ever known, the Duchess. Unfortunately for Captain Beth, the Duchess was not living up to that title as of late.
"We wouldn't have to make up the entire crew if not for that Kalzani crisis," Captain Beth muttered to the android as they walked along the street. "Good men, all fifty one of them. Of course they're easily replaceable, the damage to the Duchess on the other hand! Outrageous! Still, first things first... we need a crew, and I think I know the perfect place to find the types of sorry saps we need."

Yuwen Mare sat at his table quietly, barely looking up from his plate of Berbinian barnacles and Aloe Brandy. When he did look up he saw the tavern was crowded with species from all parts of the galaxy, most of them armed and dangerous looking, and, Yuwen was willing to bet, mostly not on the law's side. Yuwen shook his head of the thoughts, deciding to instead ignore the obviously shady establishment he had gotten lunch in and rather eat. "Berbinian barnacles... I'd almost rather starve," The Holahan muttered, before taking a bite of the food he had ordered for himself...

The bartender arrived minutes later, placing a platter of unappetizing looking food in front of the Engreint along with his drink. Brufflin placed his nostril's against the dish taking a whiff of the maws, before wolfing them down. With a belch and a quick glance at the other patrons, Bruffllin picked up his new mug of ale, gathering his thoughts. "Anisary Eight," he grumbled. "Heh. doesn't have the most conspicuous of seedy criminal underbellies, does it?" he asked, taking a swig of ale, noting the tavern's numerous bizarre looking patrons. With a grin, Brufflin slammed his mug back down on the counter. "Perfect place to start fresh!"

"Vleeboe's ass of a tavern?" Her hollow sounding voice trailed off. She was unnaturally still and silent, something that would unsettle most. Then she watched the fight without a change of expression or comment.
OOC Notes
"Either finish the fight or get out," Rescha growled. "Your little love spat is disturbing everyone and ruined my appetite."
OOC Notes
"You stay out of this, Imperial," Yuwen spat at the intruding Zerakodian. "This is between me and my assaulter," he added, grabbing Brufflin with two of his hands.

Helthax grabbed the top tip of his hood and gently tugged on it before turning his attention to the now calmed down group of vagrants.
'Damn,' he thought to himself. 'Right when I was about to have some fun with them.'
The man continued to sip his Three-Sun tea whilst watching the group of aliens talk amongst themselves. With his heightened sense of hearing, Helthax zeroed in on their conversation and overhead the Holohan mention his name. Yuven Mare, a reporter...you don't say?
OOC Notes
"As for why I'm here?" Brufflin began. "I told you. Ship was destroyed, and I made an emergency landing here," Brufflin shrugged, glancing towards the android again and sniffing in her direction. "Thought I'd stop for a drink or three."
OOC Notes
She paused for a moment before contuing, "Offense completely meant. There's a few others but who the hell cares. As for why I'm here, well let's just say I get into a lot of trouble. Don't know why. Guess inferior aliens just don't understand and respect greatness. Their tiny brains can't handle it."
OOC Notes
Yuwen paused, glancing from Rescha to Brufflin. "Space pirates," He finished at last, taking another sip of his drink. From across the tavern, in the darkness of the bar, Captain Beth let the smoke of his pipe escape his lips. His eyes had in them a dark glint as he watched from afar. Yes, he decided as put his pipe in his pocket. He had indeed come to the right place for a crew.
