Description

Kira's a pretty small guy, only 5' 7" compared to his brother's 6' 2" height. He's got a full head of dirty blond hair that's always messy no matter what. He's inherited his mother's almost gray blue eyes, and the contours of his face, while still youthful and a bit childish, show that various wars have taken their toll on him despite being so young. His outfit of choice is a red jacket with a "KK" emblem on the right chest pocket, which is almost always worn opened up. Under that is either a green or blue T-shirt, depending on his own preference, with khaki pants and his own special sneakers. There's not much to be said about his build, he's not anywhere close to husky, but not very muscular either.

Personality

Kira's impulsive. VERY impulsive. His first instinct when there's news of a battle is go jump in his mech and take the enemy down. When in battle, he seems to fight with a berserk fervor not seen in many soldiers, and his tactics can sometimes be described as brutal. While he is a skilled fighter, he sometimes has issues with following orders which can really drag him down in the long run.

However, when he's not in battle, he seems to not even be the same person. The berserk rage, the immense excitability, everything seems to disappear, leaving behind a mostly unseen young man. This bizarre disconnect is unexplained.

Equipment

Kira's possessions are all stored in his quarters on the Nemo, but there isn't much. There's a standard issue officer's pistol in the bedside table (which is rarely ever used), a battle-scarred wooden sword on a rack, and a picture of Kira and his family on the dresser, in addition to clothes.

History

Kira's been at war from the start. His father Kensuke was a Zeon admiral in the One Year War, his brother Kazuya a rookie pilot starting at the Battle of Solomon, and he himself was trained on Zeon mobile suits, including a Zaku II that was his first unit.

When the Divine Crusaders began their uprising, Kira was quick to join them, not because of any sort of allegiance, but simply because he liked the Lion-series Armored Modules more than the EFA's units. He quickly moved up from standard Lion models to a Guarlion and then his very own Guarlion Custom, which, due to his impulsiveness and rash tactics, was often wrecked. Despite this, he was still appreciated as a skilled pilot, especially towards the end of the war when many other skilled pilots had died.

After the DC War, he took his Guarlion with him to his next assignment, which just happened to be the Nemo. He quickly found favor in Captain Leeva's eyes as her favorite little subordinate, a relationship which eventually blossomed into love.

Despite his various assignments and many locations he's been in, he always makes an effort to send out regular letters to his mother Kotona.
