Personality

Lt Cmdr Carnis is as gung ho as you get in the federation, his psyche tests held him back from a chief tactical position, as his attitude had a tendency to get his ship destroyed during holo-tests. However, with the dawn of the Prometheus class, his attitude was matched with a ship that could survive it. After regularly obtaining higher holo-test scores than more conventional tactical officers, he was granted the promotion and service on board the Sisko.
