Warning: This world is based off the Naruto series by Kishimoto. When I say based, I mean the same power system and perhaps how things are operated, but nothing else. There is no Naruto in this world, or Sasuke, or whoever. Heck, not even Konoha. There is no such thing as canon. Just the powers and the government system. Sorry if that puts you off. Otherwise, check it out. Oh, and if you don’t know Naruto, don’t worry about it. You need absolutely zero knowledge of the Naruto world to play in this.

The world has been peaceful for around 12 years. This might not sound like much, but when war had been almost a constant for the past 200 years, 12 of peace are very significant. Civilian trade is finally starting to flourish now that the countries are not perpetually at each others’ necks. Not to mention that shinobi have plenty of work even without the wars.

I did mention the shinobi, right? I didn’t? Ah, well, let me get right on that. Shinobi, or ninjas if you want, are the driving force of the world. Every great nation has a ninja village. While the villages might be a little mercenary, the nations they are in all have the right to use their ninja’s in a time of war. For years, then, Shinobi had been fighting against other village’s Shinobi tooth and nail. Advantages and disadvantages changed as fluidly as a river runs, and never was one side able to keep the other down for long. But now there is peace.

Anyway, this story follows the most recent graduates of the ninja academy in Kazangakure, the Village Hidden by the Volcano, and what they do on their way to the top. While no one has noticed, the group has more potential than almost any generation before it from any village. As the Kazankage and the jonin-sensei break the prospective genin into squads, though, something builds that threatens to break the peace in the world…

Alrighty, if you have noticed the warning, citation, or read the intro, you might have noticed that this is heavily based of Naruto. It is. In essence, it is an alternate universe of the Naruto world. A very alternate one. The powers in this one are like the Naruto world as well, based off chakra and handsigns. The handsigns mold the chakra into different “jutsu” or attacks that can do pretty much anything. That is all you need to really know about that one to use it in the RP.

There are also Kekkei Genkai, or bloodline traits that are passed down in clans via genetics. If you want, you can have one. If you don’t want one, that is fine too. Not everyone needs one. You can either use pre-existing Kekkei Genkai like the Brokengan (pronounced Sharingan) or the Hyoton, or you can make one up and submit it for my approval, along with the clan and how it acts as a unit (is it a loose clan, a strict one, who has the power in it, etc.). If it is too powerful (like the cheap-ass aforementioned Sharingan), I will put limits on it and make it acceptable. For instance, the Sharingan in this can’t go past the normal Mangekyou, and no powers past the Tsukuyomi (ie no Susanoo or anything else). Also, almost all Kekkei Genkai users are not balanced fighters (at least as genin), so you need to take this into account for genin. So, to reiterate, if you want a Kekkei Genkai, PM me what it does and the structure of your clan.

There are also clan based traits that are not kekkei genkai, such as using nindogs or insects or just having secret jutsu taught only to your clan. If you want one of those, PM it to me the same as you would a kekkei genkai, with what the trait is and the clan structure.

Now for how many people there can be. At most, I will allow three squads with three genin and a jonin-sensei. I suppose if you want you can have some other jonin, but that would probably be boring until at least the Chuunin exam arc I have planned. Ideally, though, I want one or two squads. If there are a number of genin that is not just one away from being an even amount of squads (basically if there are 2, 5, or 8), I will submit an extra genin to round on the squads. If there 4 or 7, then I will either not except the extra or make a four man squad. I also only need one jonin-sensei per squad, so keep that in mind if you submit. Like with the genin, I have an extra sensei that I can submit if there is no interest. All the characters are from the Hidden Volcano Village.

Kazangakure’s Clans:
Yuki Clan – The Yuki clan is one of the more predominant clans in Kazangakure. There is a single head of the family, who acts with 5 advisors from branch families, his own brothers and sisters, or very rarely outside the family if no suitable advisors exist. The Yuki have recently been falling out of prominance however, since unlike most clans, they are not obsessed with keeping their bloodline pure. They will accept marrages outside of their lineage, and accept the wed into the family, however, the line of succession has remained pure to this point. A successor is named by the current head, and immediately takes over when the head dies. Recently, there have not been many strong wielders of the Hyoton wither, which does not help their status. However they still hold their large estate that exists mostly built into the mountain, slightly above the village.
Hyoton – Ice Style. Hyoton was originally envisioned as a combination of Water and Wind chakras and to form the perfect shield. The origin was to create walls of ice that were stronger than steel. The idea was to manipulate the mobility of the opponent, making them an easier target. This technique has been said to have been perfected once, where the user would make it snow and seemingly melt into the flurry, with every snowflake potentially creating a wall on the ground. The first concept of using this as an offensive technique came with Gekoru, current head of the Yuki clan. He was able to create a sword out of ice that could shatter steel. This has largely been looked upon as a gimmick of the technique, but Satoru has followed this path, mostly forgoing the defensive mindset, and instead creating whatever weapon he desires out of ice that is as strong as steel.

Satoya Clan – The Satoya Clan is one of the predominant clans in Kazangakure. They wield the dojutsu Reikigan. All the power in the clan is based around one person, and the current leader is very, very strict in his teaching and his leading.
Reikigan – The Reikigan is able to give you a window into the future of the target, telling you what they will do next. As powerful as this sounds, most users can only sense one person at a time, and that they have to have made eye contact with the person they are reading. When the power is activated, the user’s eyes change to have black irises, corneas, and a colored pupil. The color depends on the innate strength of the user. The weakest will have brown, and from there it goes green, blue, gold, purple, and finally, red.

Description of Kazangakure: Kazan doesn't look overly hospitable. It is surrounded by walls of natural volcanic rock created long ago by the First Kazankage. Many buildings are build into these walls, but most are built as normal freestanding buildings. The most prominent building is the kage mansion, where all the governmental work is done. The only vegetation the grows within the village is rough grass. All the major class have their own compounds (which I leave up to the clan heads, aka their creators to describe), and the more eminent the clan the bigger the compound. There are many springs of water around the village, hot or otherwise, due to the volcanic surroundings and the surprising amount of rainfall. The main gate is the only "wall" that is man-made. As you leave the village, you can find forests and more vegetation in the surrounding area.

Perhaps people haven't noticed, but this RP is centered around the latest generation of genin of Kazangakure and their growing up and rise to power. Before I go along accepting other characters, I need a squad of genin and a jonin sensei from Kazan. Perhaps, after that, I will think about other people, but the genin come first, then the jonin sensei, and then I will consider everything else.

2. I know that this is fanfic style RP, but I do NOT want Mary Sues or Gary Stues or anything like that. Make your character's powers fit their rank.
3. You can do what you want romantically, but anything over kissing is not for this RP. If you feel the need to go farther, go to PM.
4. If you think something is too overpowered, ask me. I will make sure it is not and do my best to keep the spirit of what you wanted.
5. Please post more than one sentence. One liners kill me, and they get nothing accomplished.
6. I am open to suggestions, but the plot is mine, and as such, I have the last say in story decisions.
