Introduction
In 2115, Redloom isn't a pleasant place. Strict laws and limitations, small area, large population-- not very nice. Two fifteen-year-olds, Tristan and Andersyn come along to beat The Man (the one in power).
When a child is born, they are put into the Board of Youth. This is a home/school where the children learn until they are ten years old.
Then they are put into one of the following:
Board of the Law (government, Police, Leaders)
Board of the Creative (arts, performing, design, sports)
Board of the Scholars (further education, Teachers)
Board of the Science (studying brain, body, philosophy, nature, society)
Board of the Medics (Doctors, Nurses, Surgeons)
Board of Nothing (no career path chosen for a variety of reason)
Based on whatever job they are assigned at age ten, this determines the new home/school they will be living in. Once assigned, they further study until the age of twenty at their new home. Once they turn twenty, the get assigned an apartment and live there. They go to work every day, just like the average person.
Tristan and Andersyn, two fifteen-year-olds from the Board of the Creative, secretly wander through the woods and find an unmarked borderline between Redloom and the adjacent city. While wandering, they discover Verrah. A town nearby where everybody is free, happy, and loving. This is something neither of them have ever known. In Verrah, they meet Broch. Broch is a sixteen-year-old boy who lives happily with his parents, his sister, and his dog. Confused at this, Tristan and Andersyn invite Broch to visit them in their town. So, they bring Broch over the borderline and Broch discovers their world. After Broch informs everyone of Verrah about Redloom, Redloom starts facing social turmoil since nobody had ever known about the town before. Now, since Tristan and Andersyn have that connection with the outside world, they threaten the government by saying they'll tell the entire world of Redloom... even if that means death for Tristan, Andersyn, and Broch.
