This game is about you, the survivor, using your wits and skills to survive the aftermath of a deadly zombie apocalypse.
The game will be focused on the interactions and actions of the players.
The game is to start in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania U.S.. with aproximately 10-20 members in a party of survivors. There has been a recent devastating apocalypse, caused by the mass insanity, and aggression of a large population of the society. The exact cause of the appearance of these so-called "zombies" is unknown..
You, a member of a surviving human party must work together and survive, or fall apart and face doom alone....

Marksmanship- Increases damage dealt to horde by 2 in gun weaponry.
Physical- Increases Health and Energy of that character by 2 each.

Select two of these Skill/Traits and use them on the creation of your characters.
Before you create your character, please check the beginning of the 'Rules' section and use the format I enlisted. Copy and paste onto the 'Description' block and fill it out.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ENTERING YOUR CHARACTER
You may "enter" the game at almost any time in the gameplay. In order to initiate your character, use reference to the flow of the story and enter accordingly. The beginnning of the story start off as a small survivor party with about 10-20 members. This will allow you to enter the gameplay by simply cutting into a conversation between two other character within the party.
Another method I may suggest is entering the game outside the party. example) Sam, Jim, and Alex are walking through a devastated city when.. "Sarah, stuck in a barricaded apartment, yells: "Hey! Can you guys get me out of here?" Which will probably result in the older players attemping to save that new player. etc..
All players will NOT be able to control another player's actions, or interactions. However, if the story is stuck due to an AFK (Away from keyboard), or inactive player for more than 24 hours, I, the moderator, will control that inactive character accordingly to continue the flow of the game. ex) If Sam asked Sarah, "How did you get stuck in that apartment?", and the character Sarah fails to reply within 24 hours, most likely I will personally respond for Sarah. When players of the game decide not to post a comment, or such, it is considered that their characters are merely following the majority of the survivor party.
When you ask a question, or make a comment, or reply to a specific player, please use the format: @character name. example) If Alex wanted to ask Sarah if she was injured, he would post @Sarah Alex: " Sarah are you injured? " In the same manner, Sarah would reply by posting @Alex Sarah: " No, im not. Thank you for asking." This rule is intended to prevent confusion between the characters. and to have multiple conversations running at a time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ITEM USAGE
In this game, your survival will strongly depend on the usage of items and supplies. I, as the moderator, will give you the availability of all possible items usable.
A character may carry up to 5 items. If a character optains a bag item. There are three types of bags. messenger bags, back-packs, and duffel bags.
Messenger bags will increase your item capacity up to 7 items. back-packs, 9, and duffel bags 11. All items will have a specific weight value between square brackets [?], the quantity of the item between braces {?}. and the 'damage', or amount it 'heals between parenthesis (?). To obtain a certain item, type:example) Sam: Sam takes Can of Coke[1]{2}(1), then Sam puts two of that item into his inventory. One character can also give to another character an item by typing: example) Sam: Sam gives Can of Coke[1]{1}(1) to Alex. Then Sam just gave to Alex 1 Can of Beer.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WEAPONRY (FIREARMS)
Having a member with a gun will greatly increase the survival rate of your party. The ammo of your gun contributes to usage for a mass zombie attack. mass zombie attacks will drain the ammo of your gun depending on whoever in the party declares defense. Every mass zombie attack will require a specified total damage.
Each gun will have a specified amount of damage. The damage a certain weapon deals will be expressed in parenthesis. example) If you have a Hunting Rifle[3]{1}(2),
that weapon will deal 2 damage to the zombies.
On each attack, some, or all of the players can use their weapons.
example) Moderator: @Sam, Jim, Alex, Sarah !!!Mass zombie attack!!! 5 damage required.
Sam: Sam uses Hunting Rifle (zombie horde health becomes 2/5)
Alex: Alex uses Pump-Action Shotgun (Lets say that deals 2 damage. zombie horde health becomes 0/5, successfully protecting the party.
From this battle, Sam and Alex both used 1 ammo each that is specified for their weapons. (If Sam had 3 Hunting Rifle ammo, which is Hunting Rifle ammo[1]{3}, it is
now Hunting Rifle Ammo[1]{2}, because he used it once.
In a battle, each character will only be able to use each of their weapons in their inventory once. Meaning, Sam isnt able to use his Hunting Rifle twice, using 2 of his ammo, and
dealing 6 damage. However if he also had for example, a M9 Pistol, with the corresponding ammo type, he would be able to use that as well. Basically, you cant use the same weapon
twice in the same battle.
If the party fails to deal the full required damage, the 'undealt' damage will decrease some of the characters' healths randomly.
example) Moderator: @Sam, Jim, Alex, Sarah !!!Mass zombie attack!!! 5 damage required.
Sam: Sam uses Hunting Rifle (zombie horde health becomes 2/5)
and then Alex, for example doesnt use any of his weapons, 2 health of the horde is still remaining. It damages Sam 1 damage to his health, and 1 damage to Alex.
Also. Hunting Rifle type weapons can also be used to hunt for meat while in the Rural Area Zones.
List of firearm weapons:
Pistols:
M9[1]{1}(1)
Sub Machine Guns:
MP5[2]{1}(2)
Assualt Rifles:
M16A2[3]{1}(3)
FAL R1A1[3]{1}(3)

5.56x45mm NATO[1]{?} -Used by M16A2
12Gauge[1]{?} -Used by Remington870
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WEAPONRY (MELEE)
Member of the party can also obtain melee weapons.
Melee weapons do not use an 'ammo' but will drain your character's energy. All weapons reduce a number of 1 energy bar.
The format for using melee weapons is the same.
example) Moderator: @Sam, Jim, Alex, Sarah !!!Mass zombie attack!!! 5 damage required.
Sam: Sam uses Machete (more specifically, Machete[2]{1}(2)) (zombie horde health becomes 3/5)
Characters can also use a combination of a firearm, and a melee weapon in one battle. In the same manner however, characters will not be able to use the same melee weapon 'twice' in a
single battle.
List of Melee Weapons:
Kitchen Knife[1]{1}(1)
Baseball Bat[2]{1}(2)
Crowbar[2]{1}(2)
Machete[2]{1}(2)
Axe[2]{1}(2)
Double-Edged Saw[2]{1}(2)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HEALTH ITEMS
If your character's reaches 0, your character will either die, or become a zombie, thus removing you from the gameplay. If one character in the party becomes a zombie, that
character may attack another character, thus damaging their health. It is possible for one character to kill another character to prevent this.
The items that your dead character had can be picked up by the other characters in your
party. Health items can be used to replenish your health.
The 'damage', of the items (the number between the parenthesis) is the amount that item heals health.
List of health items:
Pain Pills[1]{?}(1)
Small Medical Kit[1]{?}(2)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ENERGY ITEMS
Energy in your character is used for melee weapons. If your character's energy is at 0, your character may recieve extra damage to his/her health, so it is advisable to keep your
character's energy at least a 1.
The 'damage', of the items (the number between the parenthesis) is the amount that item heals energy.
List of energy items:
Sandwich[1]{?}(1)
Can of Coke[1]{?}(1)
Bottle of Wine[1]{?}(1)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
Some of the items in the game can be used for other purposes. Many of the items can also be combined to create a new item.
List of miscellaneous items:
Board of Wood[2]{?}
Bag of Nails[1]{?}
Piece of Cloth[1]{?}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE CONCEPT OF AREAS
In this game, you and your party will be moving through areas to meet your needs. There are different types of areas:
Urban Areas- This incorporates cities, and suburb type areas. It is in these areas that you will be able to find some of the most valuable items such as ammunition. But they are also the areas where your party will encounter the biggest zombie hordes.
Rural Areas- These areas contribute most of the areas in the game. In these areas, characters with a Hunting Rifle type weapon can hunt to gain meat. Parties will encounter medium-sized hordes.
Building Areas- These areas lie as ‘mini-areas’ throughout the game. These can be the interior of a house, apartment, etc... Characters will be able to find valuable items in these areas.
To go from one area to another will be set of one ‘move’ for the party. In each move to another area, characters will be able to do the following:
Search the Area- When characters declares this command, that character will not only search the perimeter for hidden zombies, but will look for valuable items as well. Search the Area however, will force your character to become ‘absent’. During this time, if a mass zombie horde attacks the party, that character will not be able to contribute to the battle at all. And may even receive un-dealt damage from the horde. Characters with the ‘Practical’ Skill/Trait can Search the Area without becoming absent.
Type: Sam: Sam Searches the Area.
Hunting- Characters with a Hunting Rifle can hunt animals for meat in the Country Areas only.
Hunting will result in the character becoming absent.
Type: Sam: Sam goes Hunting.
Use Items- Characters will be able to use items, such as med packs, and food.
Type: Sam: Sam uses 1 Sandwich.
To administer health packs to friends, Type: Sam: Sam uses 1 Small Health Kit on Sarah.
Create Items- Characters will also be able to create items from a combination of certain items such as molotovs, or barricades.
Type: Sam: Sam creates 1 molotov with Bottle of Wine, and Piece of Cloth.
You must type which items you used to make that new item.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
USING MAPS
Often during the game you will find a map item. When a character obtains a map, he/she can find the route to major cities, military bases, and possible evacuation sites.
To find a specific route to one of those areas, the character with the map may type: Sam: Sam finds route to Harrisburg. After typing that command, the moderator will track and give the route.
When a character with the ‘Strategic’ Skill/Trait uses a map, he/she can also determine the accessible mini-areas as well.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OTHER INFORMATION
You will only be able to have one character active at a time. During the role-play you will not be able to create or use another character unless your active character has been killed, zombified, etc..
As a moderator I will be controlling certain aspects such as weather, natural phenomenon, and events outside the control of the players, such as a random zomebie horde attack. I will also be playing NPCs.
I will not create death for any of the player's characters' unless that player has sent a PM to me stating that they want their character killed, which will allow that player to create a new character. It is also possible for one player to kill another player in the party for a certain reason, however if I consider that player's actions to be over-the-top and disruptive to the gameplay of the other people, I may give that player a minor warning, or eliminate that player from the game permanently. Over the course of the gameplay be prepared for unpredictable events and death(s) to your characters.
