The Agency and T.H.E.S.I.S
More secretive than the CIA and the FBI, the “Agency” is not well-known of by the general public. Those other government teams and organizations are just the eye-candy, the front men for what is really going on behind the scenes. The public already has enough access and information to unlock all of their secrets. Given just the tiniest slip and everything they had worked so hard to conceal would all be revealed. The whole world would be in total chaos. The masses would be horrified by the terrible acts committed against them by their own government and absolutely terrified by the acts that had been committed against them by others. But those horrible and terrible things pale in comparison to what those at the “Agency” deal with every day, and for that reason we cannot afford any screw ups. We must remain the government’s best kept secret, for sanity’s sake. That’s why we have not been given the permission to disclose our name even to you, Trainer. We might not even have one, for all you know. Why need put a label on it? It’s what we do that counts. What we do is seek out and terminate that which could prove to be a threat to society as a whole. You might look at us as the Global Protection Squad (though that is not our name, I assure you). We put the average citizens first, leaving the dirty work up to the others. All our agents are specially trained and top notch, as you soon will be. You might ask, why was I chosen to become a future member of this society? That’s an easy answer Trainer. We have been watching you since your birth, as with all the other future agents. Blood taken from you as an infant proved you were a healthy, strong, and intelligent being. Not to sound presumptuous but, you are one of the best of humankind. What if I was to tell you your parents were not your biological parents at all, but two specially trained agents? Would you resent them? Would you resent the “Agency?” I doubt that. You were always given the best while growing up after all, right? All the love in the world, correct? A child is always brought up best in these kinds of structured and safe environments. And because of that you stand before me, a well-rounded and healthy young adult, and ready to begin your training at Thesis. A solid career and long road await you at the “Agency” when you finish your schooling. We look forward to having you here, Trainer, and good luck.

A Plot Thickens:
Also, be weary of your peers Trainer. It seems our school has been infiltrated by a foreign and unknown organization. We have been aware of their existence for a while now, but their numbers continue to grow within our own. They have even been recruiting some of our students, convincing them that the “Agency” is corrupt and to rise up against it. Right now the administration here at Thesis has it under control, but we feel that this rebellion is growing out of hand. It’s only a matter of time before everything spirals beyond control. The only way to prevent this is to weed it out before it starts. If you gain any information pertaining to this organization or your peers having association with the organization, Trainer, your knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

More About T.H.E.S.I.S
Unlike a regular school, Thesis does not operate on a four year plan. Students will attend the academy until they advance to a Level 3 agent and acquire a total of 35 points (see point system below), at this point they will be immediately transferred to work at the "Agency."
The Leveling System
Level 1 agents must acquire a total of 8 class points before advancing to Level 2. Student must enroll in a minimum of 4 classes per semester.
Level 2 agents must have a total of 26 class points before advancing to Level 3. Student must enroll in a minimum of 3 classes per semester.
Level 3 agents must have a total of 35 class points before leaving the academy and joining the “Agency.” Student must enroll in a minimum of 2 classes per semester.
Note: A semester at Thesis is equivelant to 5 1/2 months. There is a one month break between semesters.
The Classes and Point System
Class list and class levels:
Public Relations (1, 2)
History (1, 2, 3)
Basic Math (1, 2)
Advanced Math (3)
Chemistry (1, 2, 3)
Basic Computers (1, 2)
Advanced Computers (2, 3)
Programming (2, 3)
Engineering (2)
Physical Education (1, 2)
Level 1 classes are worth 2 class points.
Level 2 and 3 classes are worth 3 class points.
Note: You can not advance to a level 3 class until you complete and pass the level 2 one, same goes for enrolling in level 2 classes, unless there is no level 1 class. In this case, students must wait until they become a Level 2 agent to take the class. Level 1 agents are only permitted to take level 1 classes; Level 2 agents are permitted to take level 1 and level 2 classes. Level 3 agents are the only ones permitted to enroll in level 3 classes, but can participate in lower level classes as well.
Another Note: A class minimum is set so that students can stay on the right track during their schooling. The class minimum is NOT how many classes said student will have to take before advancing to the next level. A student simply must enroll in that many classes each semester depending on their level. Example: A new term has started at school. A Level 1 agent HAS to enroll in at least 4 classes while a Level 3 agent only HAS to enroll in a minimum of 2 classes. Leveling is determined solely by the number of points acquired.
After Class Training
All students are required to spend at least 2 days a week of after-school training at the gym, obstacle course, or Dark Room.
Training In The Gym: Consists of a large group of students and 2 coaches. Students will either work on conditioning (stamina, strength training, etc.) or hand-to-hand combat (sparring). Note: hand-to-hand combat training will not take place until the coaches deem the students ready.
Training On The Obstacle Course: A military styled obstacle course consisting of hurdles, crawling obstacles, and zip-lines. Student will be timed on course. An ideal finishing time is 5 minutes. The record finishing time is 3 minutes and 41 seconds. Students usually run course in small groups.
Training In The Dark Room: The Dark Room is designed so that students can practice their skills in stealth and marksmanship. It is illuminated only by backlights and a jumble of walls inside it makes up a maze. Students wear specialized black-suits with a target on the chest that glows green under the lights. At the center of the target is a tiny sensor that when shot at, by a specialized gun, begins to beep. This means you are out of the game. The goal in the Dark Room is to be the last one standing. Students sometimes enter the Dark Room in a small group or in teams and are always under the observation of a staff member.
Special Level 3 Training: Special training is offered to Level 3 agents where they can become acquainted with some specially chosen gadgets and tools used in the agent field. Level 3 training is always taught by a specialized teacher, usually a high ranking agent at the “Agency.” Only three to four students are taught per training session.
Housing
Once training begins at Thesis students are no longer permitted to live off campus, for their own safety. Because of this, there are a number of housing complexes and dormitories scattered about campus for students to live in. Those housing complexes monitored by the school are all single gender dorms, though teachers and staff might volunteer to monitor and run separate and co-ed housing apartments. All your things will be packed and shipped to the housing of your choice before your arrival.

The Roleplay
How It Works
As you can probably tell, this roleplay takes place inside Thesis. The way classes and activities will work in this RP is this: YOU decide what happens as long as it correlates with what the person before you posted. If the person before you said they were in class, then obviously it is class time. When you think class time needs to be over so that roleplayers can move on to some other kind of activity or interaction, then you have my full permission to make that transition. Same with going from day to night, ending confrontations (if you’re involved in them, of course), etc. Just as long as you abide by the basic rules of roleplay (such as no god-modding). This roleplay does have an overall plot to fall back on, and I will work on moving that slowly along (as long as everyone helps me out, of course :D), but I will greatly appreciate it if everyone contributed to the story. It might not even have to go along with the main plot but be a little side-plot of your own. If it’s anything major, however, please tell me so.

The place that awaited her was foreign, somewhere she was not used to. Just that night she had been dreaming about her old high-school, the place where her friends, teachers, and other acquaintances would find themselves spending the ever trite and boring day, forgetting that her time there was finished. She had been whisked away to a new world entirely. The world of T.H.E.S.I.S; a world she had been completely unaware of until the previous week, when she learned she had been enrolled there. She took in her barren living quarters. Underneath her double-paned and wooden-framed windows sat a stout and wide dresser. On it her mother’s jewelry box, photo-album, and her mp3-player were placed, though not placed by her. Her dresser had already been stocked with her articles of clothing, as had her closet. Beside her closet door was a computer desk, hers was bear, of course, but she had been informed that students who arrived at Thesis without their own laptop would have one lent to them by the school, because they were a necessary learning tool. On the other side of the closet was a mirror, which hung on the wall directly across her bed.
The Charlie that looked back at her was a bedraggled and sloppy looking one and she huffed, wondering whether or not she should even bother with getting ready. Her bed was so warm and cozy, and the apartment house that she was staying at was freezing cold. She kept telling herself “only a little longer” but that face in the mirror kept on telling her “you look like crap” so she gave in, went through her closet and found something nice to wear (a white shirt with red polka-dots, some skinny jeans that she stuffed down into some flat black boots, and a black fleece jacket), brushed her hair out, brushed her teeth in her own private bathroom (thank you for that), and slapped on a little makeup. She turned off the music that was still blasting from her radio. Before she left to go downstairs she took one more look at the place she would be spending the next five months living in. It was bland, that was for sure, but maybe it would only take some getting used to.
“Charlotte right?” The teacher who individually ran and monitored the housing complex Charlie was living in greeted her, as Charlie walked into the kitchen and headed over to the pantry for some cereal. Luckily for her it was stocked with sugary and unhealthy, sugar-rush, confectionaries, and she picked one out and poured it into a bowl.
“Right,” Charlie told her, then headed over to the fridge for some milk.
“Ah, well good-morning Charlotte,” Jennifer, which was her name, said to her, a warm smile on her face. She looked way too young to be a teacher at a place like Thesis. She had lively green eyes that were the perfect almond shape and void of wrinkles. Her silky black hair was pulled into a ponytail and draped across her tiny shoulders. She wore a grey tank-top and some plaid pajama pants that showed off her trim and healthy figure but her arms were defined and had some muscle. She looked independent and fierce. Jennifer was Charlie’s ideal role model.
Charlie sat at the other end of the kitchen island, high up on a barstool and watched as Jennifer continued to snack on her healthy apple. “It’s Charlie by the way,” Charlie told her, as she put a large spoonful of the cereal in her mouth, feeling a little guilty for being such a glutton.
“You just said it was Charlotte.”
“It is.”
Jennifer sighed. “Make up your mind child.”
“Sorry.”
Another girl who was staying in the apartment complex entered the kitchen, her sleepy feet dragging across the linoleum floor. They all finished eating in silence and handed their dishes to Jennifer to be loaded into the dishwasher.
“By the way,” Jennifer told them both before they left. “Since it’s Sunday and there are no classes, some Level 3 students volunteered to give a tour of Thesis to the newbies.”
“Will they tell us what Thesis stands for?” The other girl asked, a bored expression on her face (but Charlie kind of noticed that was pretty natural for her).
“I thought it stood for The Scientific Institute of Science,” Charlie answered, before Jennifer had a chance to open her mouth, with complete assurance.
“Do you even realize what you just said?” The girl raised an eyebrow, the first form of emotion she had seen from her since her arrival.
“…It was a joke…” Charlie defended herself, which it was. She had to quit saying things like that with such seriousness. She was already clueless enough.
“Ehem,” Jennifer cleared her throat, interrupting them. She looked up at the clock. “Well… if you two are going to go to that tour, I suggest you get a move on it. I think everyone was going to meet at around nine-o-clock and it’s eight-fifty now.”
“Uh yeah,” Charlie said, and headed for the door. She looked expectantly back at the other tenant, who shook her head.
“No, I’m not going,” the girl said, and for some reason the way she said it sounded like, “I’m not going because you are,” to Charlie, but she tried to ignore that.
Outside, Thesis resembled a small college town in many ways. The apartment complex Charlie stayed at was not alone. There were plenty of dormitories, apartments, and houses for students to reside in. The streets were lined with cars and trees, which were turning red and orange for the fall. The leaves broke off and fell onto the ground, littering the sidewalks with color. The occasional cyclists would wiz by and stir them up, so that they could get caught on the wind and flitter to somewhere else. The faint hum of music played from somewhere and Charlie could smell the familiar scents of coffee and vanilla in the air. Everything seemed so friendly, but somehow the campus felt quiet, eerie, and lonely.
She hugged her arms across her chest and briskly walked down the sidewalk, passing a few other students and teachers as she did so. On her left she passed a tiny park, with flowers, trees, and a fountain. All the plants were marked with a tiny nametag, so people could learn and observe what species it was. There was a girl sprawled out in the grass there napping, and two older looking kids talking beside the circular and marble fountain.
Finally, she arrived at the place where Jennifer told her the students would be meeting. It was at the library and study hall, on the front steps. She could see the three Level 3s there, talking enthusiastically to some of the new students, who were listening with complete interest.
“And now,” One of the Level 3s gestures with his hands, slowly waving them in front of him like some kind of magician, “I will show you all one of the most deadly weapons in the world!” Quickly, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pen, an over zealous expression of amazement plastered onto his face. “Can anyone tell me what this is?”
One of the kids standing in front of him raised his hand. “It’s a pen!”
“Good-job Captain Obvious,” the upperclassman chuckled and flipped the pen around in his fingers, like Charlie had seen some dude do on this commercial once. “No, no, what this really is is a simple high-tech and complicated mini laser, able to slice through any materials known to man, and some that aren’t. It might not be all too amazing or cool, but it’s one of the most important tools of the trade for an agent… Now watch!” Suddenly, he lunged towards the student who had raised his hand and pressed the button on the back. The young boy’s face turned pale, as if he was about to have a heart-attack and staggered down the stairs, ready to flee, but the upperclassman only chuckled. “Just kidding! This is just a pen… Didn’t mean to scare you that bad…”
The new boy grasped at his chest, trying to calm his heart and slow his breathing. Charlie questioning whether or not what the Level 3 did was just out of meanness or simply a sorry attempt at humor. Either way, she inched closer to the crowd, blending in seamlessly with all the other clueless faces.
“Anyways, lets get started with our tour shall we?”

Jason turned and noticed the teacher that ran the joint. "Nope, Barney ThePrpldnosorfrmyrimagination. Yeah the long last name kinda sucks, kids used to make fun of me all the time for it back in elementary."
The teacher smirked. "Oh boy. Were gonna have fun this year." The teacher walked off. Jason, satisfied that he'd managed to get his rebel on despite his state of mind, decided it was time to head to orientation. Grabbing a coffee on his way out he walked out in the courtyard. A chill hit him and he grinned. The weather was perfect in his mind, not so hot that you were exhausted and not so cold that you didn't want to do anything.
Jason arrived just in time to see the mandatory Senior prank on the newbies. In this case Jason had to say the newbie deserved it for being that gullible. After a slight chuckle Jason began to observe the crowd. Most these kids didn't seem the type that Jason would want protecting his country. Of course Jason probably wasn't the best choice himself. Don't judge a book by its cover man. They may seem immature but give them a few years with the old man and they'll be perfect agent material.

The notice on the community billboard in the middle of the hall said that some Level 3's were giving a tour to newbies like him, and Vinh's brain hatched an idea. If he could get some Level 3's, maybe some teachers, and a couple of newbies in his pocket, it'd be easier to fake his way through this school. He could get stronger students to show him how to game the system, and before long, he'd be living in the lap of luxury. Yes, Vinh concluded, this was a perfect idea - of course, geniuses only have perfect ideas. His nervous chuckling turning into laughter of victory, he launched himself into the shower and began his one hour grooming process. Every area of his appearance had to be perfect - hair styled to stretch lazily over one eye, teeth brushed to a shine, dress shirt with its top button strategically popped open, designer jeans, and black shoes. Someone told him that clothes made the man, and Vinh had always believed that.
Vinh strode through the campus, stepping on its wonderfully paved brick sidewalks, brimming with confidence. He looked around, surveying his contest grounds. A few attractive girls caught his eye, laying down on blankets in the grass some ways away from him, relaxing under a tree. He'd have to make time for women in his sure to be busy schedule, of course. He'd never operated in such a small social sphere before, but if he had the social dexterity he knew he had, he should be able to juggle at least three at a time...
"Hey, excuse me, um, do you know where the science lab is?" A student approached Vinh, knocking him out of his thoughts. The boy had a very small stature, and enormous glasses that played to his meekness. Vinh smiled a comforting, inviting smile.
"It's just down the path that way, first building on your left," Vinh said, pointing in a random direction. The student smiled and nodded, thanking him and barreling off. As Vinh passed by, he noticed the student's painfully large backpack and wondered how long he'd survive here.
Before long, Vinh made it to the library and blended into the crowd, taking immediate notice of his surroundings. At the very front, a senior played a trick on a freshman who played the game wrong. He found himself flanked by a rather confident looking boy who came in a bit late, and a cute brunette. She looked as clueless as Vinh should have looked, but she seemed...In a word, fit. Both of these people could be useful, so Vinh decided to work his magic.
"They probably -do- have laser pens here," Vinh whispered, nudging the girl next to him with a smile. "Laser watches, too."

Emilia, was wearing a black tank top type dress with which was flowy and semi transparent near the bottom. Her dark red hair was covering her left eye, somewhat messy from her slumber, though her heavy black eyeliner was in place perfectly as always. She turned to see her back pack next to her, as she assumed it would be unless someone wanted to die a slow death. She dragged it over towards her, and took out her laptop. Sitting on her knees, she placed the laptop on her lap and turned it on. She brought this thing everywhere she could to prevent boredom. Thank god for video games. She thought to her self, as she looked over some of the new people arriving. A few of them made her laugh inside, they looked so absolutely helpless, it made her curious how their year would go or if they would even survive. There were always a few that came here not because they were good fighters or anything of the sort, but other expertise which most people overlooked until they saw it with their own eyes. "To each their own, I guess."
She wiggled her bare feet for a second, waiting for Windows to load, which took an excruciatingly long amount of time due to the mass amount of things on her computer. She was going to be here for a while, hopefully she could immerse herself into the game enough to not go insane with boredom. This place really didn't have any leisurely activities so you were moslty left to yourself and whatever belongings you had. She had brought with her things like her laptop, art supplies, her camera because she loved taking pictures, and her ipod. Which reminded her. She leaned over slightly and grabbed her ipod, also placing it in her lap and putting on her massive Bose headphones. She didn't do the earbuds, they were apparently bad for your ears anyways. She switched through the music until she came across something she liked and smiled as she loaded her game. "Alright virtual idiots, prepare to die."

"They probably -do- have laser pens here," she heard someone say from her left and felt a slight nudge at her side. She jumped and faced the person who did it, a rather average looking boy with dark features. She listened to him as he continued. "Laser watches, too."
“You think?” Her eyes widened with curiosity. He could be right. They probably did have things like that, but of course they wouldn’t show them to Level 1s like herself. “They have them on all those spy movies and things… So why not…” She realized she was being just as gullible as always. Someone could tell her the moon was made of marshmallow and for the briefest second she might ponder what would happen if the moon started to melt… until she realized of course that she had been bamboozled… like usual.
“Alright, let’s go this way first! I’d like to show you all the computer and science lab…” She listened as one of the Level 3s started talking and quickly jotted down the stairs, all the eager faces of the Level 1s watched his every move. Suddenly, Charlie didn’t want to go on the tour so much. All those newbies seemed like lost little duckies, and she was like that all the time anyways… and probably still would be when the tour was over… So why bother?
With a heavy sigh, she spun around and started walking in the direction that she came. Maybe she’d go to the park and take a nap as she had seen that girl doing before. She didn’t want to walk back into the apartment complex after she had told Jennifer she would attend the tour. She was her role model, after all, and if the agents at Thesis were anything like those on the television shows, they prided themselves on keeping their promises. She looked over her shoulder once more as she kept walking. Yeap, no going back now. The Level 3 was already rounding the corner of the library. Soon he’d be out of sight and Charlie would have no clue where the tour had gone. Her directional and tactical skills sucked, something she’d definitely have to work on if she wanted to make it out of Thesis ali…
Bam, she fell face first onto the sidewalk. That’s what she got, thinking about other things when she should have been watching where she was going. Just her luck that an aluminium coke can happened to roll underneath her feet on the fine and windy day.
“Ouch,” she lifted up her head and rubbed her face, a smeared trace of blood made its way across her arm as she did so. Well… it wasn’t the first time she had gotten a bloody nose. A runner and boxer was sure to get them periodically. She was so used to them that she didn’t really pay this one much mind. She got back up, brushed off her pants, and kept on walking. Of course, she’d get some strange looks by pedestrians until the bleeding stopped… But eh, why should she care? It’s not like she knew anyone.

It was about then that Jason realized he was judging again and shut down the process. It didn't matter much what this guy was like, Jason was gonna need friends and now was the best time to meet people. He offered his right hand for shaking as he took a sip of his coffee with his left. "Hi, I'm Jason Miller."
After introducing himself Jason noticed he hadn't been paying any attention at all to the tour and had no clue where they were now. The level 3 seemed to be enjoying himself as he introduced all the 1's to their new home. It was kinda depressing being lumped in with this group of sheep and suddenly the reason the girl had left was clear. At least, in his mind it was. Jason couldn't wait to reach level 2 and be above this pack.

"Nice job, man. Laser pens and laser watches, nothing turns a girl on like sci-fi," the boy next to him jibed. Vinh chuckled, strategically loud enough for the boy to hear him, but quiet enough to be silent to the crowd.
"If the situation calls for it, man," Vinh said with a grin, accepting the handshake. The boy had a much, much stronger grip than he, and Vinh could feel immediately that he'd be a useful friend.
"Vinh, Vinh Walker."
Something hit Vinh. They were moving. "They" as in not-him and not-Jason. Vinh smiled to himself. Everyone here looked clueless, and the senior boy looked quite pleased with himself. Yet, this tour could easily be an advantage. One has to ignore perceived indignities to get ahead, and life on the social scene had taught that to Vinh time and time again. He continued along on the tour, turning to Jason as the group had reached the science lab.
"So, what do you think of this school so far? Looks like there's some serious pecking order going on," he whispered, eyes going between Jason and the senior.

"Where are you!" The voice on the other end yelled at her.
"Wha-huh? Who is this?"

Desmond had been up for at least three hours, he just couldn't sleep knowing his sister was here. He was worried she would get picked on or that she wouldn't be able to adjust. He had been pasing back and fourth across his room the entire 3 hours, he then realized that she should be up by now and on the tour. Desmond decided to go into the bathroom and get ready by brushing his teeth and making sure he was wearing an apporpriate outfit. He smiled in the mirror, happy with the reflection that he saw. "Now to see about that tour"
Desmond almost ran down the stairs to the ground floor, zipping past the house attendant/ teacher. "Desmond wher-" Desmond was out the door before the teacher could finish.
The fresh air hit him and he slowed a bit. It was a lovely day and the fresh air smelled of newly cut grass and fresh water from the water fountains nearby. Desmond almost got lost in the atmosphere until he saw the tour group and, "Where's Rain!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Your brother obviously!"
Rain suddenly realized what time it was, "Oh uh hey.... I guess I slept in." She got up from the floor and made her way to the bathroom to brush her teeth. "Hurry up. I'll be waiting outside!" Rain shook her head and finished brushing her teeth and then her hair. She applied a thin line of eyeliner on her lower eye and pit some black mascara with it. She then swung out of the bathroom and found some clothes she hoped would look ok on her.
Rain then speeded down the hall as best she could and did her best getting down the stairs. She then wipped past the housing teacher. "Well hello... Uh you must BE RAIN!" She tried to call after Rain. Rain stopped for a quick second "Yeppers! But, ill be back" She said pointing outside then slipped through the door.
Rain let out a small sigh then got caught off guard when her brother grabbed her. "Come on," He said quickly pulling her, "Your late!"
“Hello,” the barista behind the espresso and pastry counter greeted her with a warm smile, as he reached into the glass case and pulled out a large and chunky chocolate-chip cookie, put it on a napkin, and handed it to one of his customers. “What would you like from 'Henry’s Astral Café' little miss?”
“Astral Café?” Charlie repeated, a little duped by the name.
He grinned. “My pastries and coffee are good for the soul and mind. Nothing better to recharge you for a day than some sugary goodness!”
“Amen to that,” Charlie agreed, after pondering for a moment. She always thought the same thing… “But sorry, I’m only here to ask if you have a bathroom… or a tissue maybe?”
“Oh heavens!” He gasped and put a hand to his mouth, finally noticing her bloody nose. “Of course I do.” He reached beside the display case and grabbed a napkin like the one he had wrapped the cookie in. With a worried face, he handed it to Charlie, who took it graciously.
“Thank you,” she muttered, as she rubbed it over her upper lip, then held it in place. “Sorry again…”
“No problem!” He told her, a smile slowly replacing his frown. “Hope to see you again miss…”
“Charlie.”
“Miss Charlie. And hope you actually buy something next time. You won’t regret it.”
“Okay…” she said a little awkward and nasally, as she started to walk away. “I will…”
The bell chimed again as she walked back out into the chilly fall air, hand still pressed to her nose. The park was right across from her and she wondered if she wanted to go there or just go back to the apartment complex. As she was thinking about that, she heard a quiet beep and some muttering. Through the grate of the balcony floor, she could see somebody above her talking into an earpiece. It was probably a student, an older one she could tell. It seemed like there was some housing above the bistro as well. Lucky him, he got the room with the view. The boy walked over to the railing and leaned against it, glancing up and down the street. Charlie couldn’t make out quite what he was saying, but as she noticed the tour group rounding the corner (probably finishing with the laboratories and visiting the bistro itself, the bookstore that was next to it, the park, and the other leisurely places for students to spend their time) he started to speak a little faster. Feeling a little uneasy with her ease dropping, Charlie shifted restlessly on her feet. He must have heard her, cause as she did it he looked downwards, their eyes meeting through the spiraling metal for a moment. He said something else to the person through the earphone, and then headed back inside the bistro’s apartment. That was a little weird. She thought. Maybe I could go ask Henr… Suddenly two students raced past her, almost knocking her off of her feet, towards the tour group. She didn’t recognize either of them, but they looked similar, like they were related. After watching them run off, Charlie sighed. Never mind, she was just being her usual ridiculous and paranoid self. Lots of people had Bluetooths and she was sure the older students were curious about the new arrivals. They were the future of Thesis, after all.
Rain twisted out of her brothers grip. "Did you just run into someone?" She asked wating for his reply. She heard his peep of a "No....." She shook her head sad that he would have rushed her so much and maybe hurt someone.
Desmond looked away from his sister disappointed in himself. "Just listen to the tour," he said pouting a bit. He knew that usually worked with his sister, but he still looked back at the other girl to make sure she was ok.
(Sorry its short, I hadd to go)
"Welcome to the entertainment district of our small town. This is where you'll probably spend most of your free time." He continued on to describe the various things to do there but Jason just drowned him out. The real question is where's the red light district? It was a pain to keep certain smart ass comments to himself but somehow Jason managed.
"Thinking of going for a nice balance of physical education, personal relations, physical and computer science classes," Vinh said, beaming. "You've got to be good at pretty much everything to make it here, so I'm gonna fill my plate and sniff around for low hanging fruit, if you know what I mean. How 'bout you?"
Vinh noticed, from the corner of his eye, a hurried couple; boy and girl. The older boy seemed to dote over the younger girl, and Vinh blinked in curiosity. Were they dating, or something? These people moved fast, faster than he did. He laughed inside, noting that he still had quite a bit to learn.
Rain took a small breath in "Desmond, Just because I can't see... doesn't mean I can't feel your fingers digging into my shoulder blades" His fingers had tenced and relaxed and it was starting to hurt her. She looked around at the shadows that had surronded her. She tried to smile to hide her blindness but she didn't even know if she was smiling to someone.
