In the year 1995 a meteor fell to earth near the Rhine River. Little did anyone know it carried a special crystal that could yet prove to be mankind's undoing. Kelttium was discovered by a geologic exploration team. It was soon found that this crystal had the potential to power reactors, with no toxic waste at all, providing nearly limitless power. Even better yet this crystal grew rapidly and a depleted field would be ready to harvest again in 3-4 weeks.
Well with all this power it did not take long to spread to weapons development. Soon however it was proven that it spread even faster when weaponized. Eventually massive tracks of the Earth's surface where covered in Kelttium. Not log after wards civil government broke down.........
Now the Year is 2056, and nations no longer exist. Rather the world has been divided into three different zones based on the level of Kettium contamination. Reds, where no one and nothing can survive without the aid of special zone suits. Yellows that contain most of the worlds population exists but is critically contaminated. Finally there are Green Zones which are virtually untouched by Kelttium infestation. This story takes place in Red 5 Home of the Forgotten (mutants)

Ryan Shardwalker
Looking around the Kelttium wasteland that was his home Ryan realized that this was once the verdant forest. However the trees that had survived are little more then spore trees. And the ground that wasn't covered by this blue crystal was cracked and totally devoid of life.
He thinks to himself, So this is the result of the wars between the Brotherhood and the Union. Well I don't have any room to talk after all I'm the result of a Brotherhood experiment.
Then he hears an explosion just over a kelttium ridge about 10 meters to the south of him. Ryan thinks, This could be trouble I better go investigate I would not want any trouble for the settlement. He then sets off running.
