History
Amy was born into a normal, but poor-ish residence in Los Angeles. She grew up as a child with out spare time for much else, constantly busy with school work or helping her parents. When she turned 15 a rather tragic fire burned down her home. She watched her mother being burned alive, and came out of the experience with PTS. Her father, normally a kind and caring man, turned to drink and became an abusive drunk. With nothing else to turn to Amy was constantly in her room, or outside plucking at the strings of an old relic of her mother's, and acoustic guitar. When Amy was 18 she fled from her home, to end up working in a bar, as a performer. (Sorry for the lack of heart)
Amy Sorensen sat on the wooden park bench, her acoustic Blues King held in her hands. Every string felt familiar and comforting to her now. Amy didn't notice she was quietly humming as she strummed, her fingers sliding over the fretboard, putting the perfect pressure on the perfect strings. Her mind wandered as to what she would do next with her life, she couldn't play rent and was about 10 days from getting evicted from her residence. Maybe she shouldn't have blown so much money on guitars.
Amy Sorensen stopped playing as the stranger sat down next to her, her hand clamping around the neck and the strings, cutting off any sound and looks up to him. "Hey... Can I help you?" She grinned, a stark contrast contrast to the panic she was feeling over her current housing issues.
Amy Sorensen nods, "Oh, well.. Thanks. 4 years, but I mean 4 years of only this." She sighed and went back to playing, playing the first song to same to mind, oddly enough it was 'Stairway to Heaven.' one of the most well recognized intro riffs ever. She peered over to his guitar, "You play too?"
Amy Sorensen shrugs, "Sort of, I work in a bar now, playing a few nights a week." She looks at the two other girls, "Who are they? Sisters, friends.. 'more than friend' friends?"
Amy Sorensen blinks up at James, "Oh, your in a band? Cool what have you guys called?" She stopped her plucking and strumming, showing she was paying full attention.
Amy Sorensen nodded, "Oh Cool." Amy lets out a yelp as Flower falls, and watches her. "Oh No, Oh No, I don't have a cellphone, I um..." Amy sets her guitar down on the bench and leaps to her feet, running for the nearest pay phone.
Amy Sorensen runs back to the scene, panting. "Is, is She okay? There is an ambulance on the way." Amy looked down at Flower, "I think we should back away and give her some room."
Amy Sorensen walks over to James, "Is she okay?" She sighed and looked to Flower, before going over to the bench and taking her guitar.
Amy Sorensen blushed at Alexia's comment, crossing her arms in front of her, "If he wants to go let him go, I need to get home anyway and start packing up." She sighed and slung her guitar over her shoulder.
Amy Sorensen shook her head, "I'm broke and my eviction in 10 days if I can't pay the bills," Amy mumbled again and sat down on the bench rubbing her head. "normally I wouldn't ask this but... Do you know a place I could stay?"
Amy Sorensen paused and bites her lip, "If you don't want to thats fine, I appreciate the offer." Amy sighed and stood up, tucking her hands in her pockets and walking out in the direction of her home.
Amy Sorensen stop and turns to James, no obvious emotion on her face.A tiny smile starts tugging at her lips and she leaps at and then wraps her arms around James, "Thank You Thank You, Thanks You!"
Amy Sorensen blushes as she is on top of James, not bothering to move much too happy to actually use common sense,"I'm Amy, nice to meet you James, and thanks again."
Amy Sorensen nods, "Yeah sure, that's be great!" The sense of joy she had of not having to worry anymore was over welhming and she hugged James again, "Thank you..."
Amy Sorensen blinks and lifts herself off of James, "Sorry," She looks at him as his stomachs growls, "Maybe I can buy you something to eat to pay you back?"
Amy Sorensen frowned and kicked the ground, "Maybe I can scrounge up some money and pay for you." Amy looked around, and sighed, "Did you get here by car or by walking?"
Amy Sorensen shook her head and pointed to the subway exit nearby. "I can't afford gas, or a car." The girl looked down at her shoes for a moment, seeming lost in thought. Her face seemed ashamed of something, but more ashamed of some deep, dark secret. Amy's head shot up as she realized James was there, as he was 30 seconds ago and smiled, convincingly. "What are you hungry for?"
Amy Sorensen feels her stomach flip at the mention of meat and sighs. "So I guess burgers?" Amy tucked one hand into her pocket and her other pale hand held the guitar's strap. She began walking towards the nearest fastfood place. She turned to see if James was following her...
Amy Sorensen stopped suddenly and looked at James, "Hey we can go visit your friends in the hospital, I mean... It seems sort of important no?" Then she turned turned back and kept walking until they reached a destination.
Amy Sorensen smiles and steps in waiting at the door quietly for James, "Hey, um you've done alot more for a total stranger than most people would do for s close friend so... Thanks."
