Born to Enrique, God of Dreams, and Ariel, the queen of the Night, Jules grew up a happy child, with two sisters, one of which was a godling, like him.

Jules grew quickly, and became a mature god by the divine age of fourteen-thousand years old. But as he grew, his mother's twisted soul corrupted his father's, and together they began to Oppress the people of Dreams. Jules' regent, Sozomenos, came to him, informing him of his peoples plight, and he and his sister Rinoa took up weapons against their parents.

"I don the Name, Jules, Prince of Nightmares, god of Dark Dreams." Jules had said, before his sister remarked, "And I Rinoa, Princess of Dreams, goddess of all that is pure."

In the days that followed, many corrupt officials were killed, but in doing so, Rinoa left herself open to attack and was injured. It had seemed that all was lost until Jules' younger brother, Prince Timothy, joined Jules.

Jules' fight with his father ended easily. Enrique hardly even defended himself against his eldest son, and sooner than later, Jules crushed his father's skull beneath his feet.

Though he was victorious against his father, Jules was dismayed to find that Timothy had gone to fight their mother alone! By the time he had arrived in his mother's chambers, Jules was too late. Timothy was already severely injured and near death. Something snapped within The Prince of Nightmares, and something else emerged. Something Primal, Cruel, Sadistic, and Uncontrollable. His awareness was lost. Regaining his senses, he noticed the Nightmare Saber plunged into the gut of his mother. "Soon, you will be more tainted by corruption than I..." She cursed, before sliding off of his sword. Tending to Timothy's injuries, he was dismayed to find that he was trapped in his comatose state, and called upon the powers of his Father to heal him. At last, the Prince of Nightmares ruled supreme.

Soon thereafter, Jules was visited by a man hailing from the regions outside of his realm, whom claimed to be a Councilman. Being asked to apprentice under him, and rule all of the known world, Jules accepted, and placed his sister Rinoa on the throne.
