Red Robin
Robin made it down the stairwell as fast as he could, still wishing the power was back on. When he finally made it into the room with the generator, he turned to Static with a nod
“I’m glad you’re here to help us out. It’s hard to trust people these days… You know, sometimes I’m wondering if I’m becoming the old man.” He said referring to Batman. He made his way to a computer hooked up to the wall, and smirked as he noticed it working. “Must be solar powered, which gives me an idea on a counter measure to this energy crisis.” Robin almost seemed to say to himself before a secret door opened up, revealing some sort of android that resembled Cyborg in a way. “Perfect. Static, he’s going to fix the generator, and then you can just jumpstart it.” Robin said, feeling a little better despite the situation only being a bit better. “So, how’s working solo treating you?” Robin asked to pass the time as the android went to work on the generator.
Compound & Wonder Girl
Death of a True Villain... Birth of a False Hero
Michael should have figured that as soon as he exited the store, he’d be face to face with few police officers. He didn’t like playing tango with the NYPD, but if it could get word out that he was back on the streets, he’d just have to have fun. With a smirk, he got started by first slamming his fist into a man holding a can of Redbull. Snagging the can, Michael seemed to absorb it rather than drink it.
“Here we go.” Michael said before phasing into the sidewalk and phasing out of the street in front of an officer before hitting and knocking the man out cold. “Easy!” Michael yelled out before grabbing the officer’s partner who had shot at him and slammed him against the glass window of the car. Michael then made it so the man’s body became glass like the window before shattering the officer’s face. “Come on!” Michael yelled out once again as bullets seemed to be ineffective. He just stood out in the street as proud as he could be.
Cassie straightened up as her anger started to boil up seeing the officer getting smashed and beaten up by just this one guy. Time to be a hero. she jumped off the building and landed gracefully in front of the villain, eyes glaring at him. “Stop in the name justice!” Her hand reached to her side as she pulled out her whip swinging it around her head before she cracked it on the ground. A few sparkles of lightening rebounded off her whip.
Michael stopped as he heard the teenage heroine call out to him. He looked her up and down, as if sizing her up and then chuckled.
“Stop, in the name of justice!” He said, as he mocked her tone. He eyed her whip before chuckling again. “Who are you suppose to be?” Michael asked before a grin spread across his face as he felt that he knew exactly who she was. “Don’t tell me that you’re one of those dominatrix chicks. I’m not really into S&M.” Michael joked before an officer shot a taser gun at him. Unfortunately for the officer, Michael caught the dart-like electrodes and pulled the officer toward him. With his increased strength and durability, the officer slammed straight into Michael’s hard body without the criminal even being fazed by the impact. He snickered a bit before looking down at the officer before stepping on his chest. “Well, maybe I’m into the doing harm to others part. It’s fun sometimes.
Cassie disregarded his smartass comments and mockery. She wasn’t here to play games with him and after the day she had she was ready to kick some serious ass. She watched him take down another officer like it was no hassle. Who is this guy? “For your information I am Wonder Girl and I’m here to teach you some manners.” She flung her golden whip around her head before swinging it towards him. It wrapped around his ankles as she pulled it back towards herself trying to knock him off his feet.
Michael had thought the rope was going for his torso at first, and readied to counter, until the rope quickly wrapped tightly around his ankles. He felt the shock travel throughout his body before being pulled off his feet.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaah!” Michael screamed as he jerked around on his back as electricity flowed through his body. “Psyche!” Michael yelled as his body became composed of the electricity from the rope. He liked the feeling of it, and it kind of reminded him of the electricity that came from Dov’s body, except it had its own flavor to it. Sitting himself up after his transformation, Michael shot a bolt of electricity straight toward Wonder Girl, however, it seemed to miss and hit several bystanders behind her. “Oops…” He said with a smirk before phasing out from the rope and admiring his new body as if he had the time to. “I got a nice body, don’t I?” Michael joked.
Cassie couldn’t help but smirk at her successfully attack but her face immediately dropped again see his body changing. “Shit,” she cursed underneath her breath as she dodged the upcoming attack. Hearing cries coming from behind her she spun around to see a number of citizens collapsed on the ground and twitching from the electric shock. “I am so sorry,” she was fuming now and tugged on her whip as she turned back to face him but he had already gotten himself free from its grip. “What’s your deal?” Cassie snarled at him but she didn’t wait for a response as she flung her whip back to herself and strapped back to her costume. She then ran with super speed to the nearest unoccupied police car and picked it up. She held the vehicle over her head like it was nothing before she threw it at him. Cassie knew that he would properly very easily dodge it so she sprinted towards the next car and threw it at him as well. In total she flung three vehicles at him.
“My deal?” Michael asked before he ran to his left to dodge the first car she threw. “Ha!” He shouted before another car flew toward not just him, but a small girl staring at Wonder Girl as she fought heroically.
“Wonder Girl!” The girl shouted in excitement before shrieking as she noticed the car coming her way. Michael glanced at the girl before moving in front of the girl and shooting two bolts of electricity at the vehicle, causing it to explode while in mid air. The remained of the police car skid to a halt about two meters from both Michael and the girl.
“No need to fear! Compound is here!” Michael said as he took a heroic pose with his chest proudly out. “I’d make a pretty good hero, right Wonder Girl?” He said, now knowing her name.
Cassie’s eyes widened seeing the young girl in the firing line. “NO!” She shouted about to leapt forward trying to save her but it looked like the villain already had it covered. She felt a little grateful that he didn’t let the girl get crushed but that didn’t mean she was going let him go off easily. He did still hurt all those police officers. Cassie frowned at him when he asked her if he was a good hero. “No,” she spoke coldly before she moved right behind him and picked up the girl. She sprinted to a safe distance and dropped the girl to the ground. “You will be saver watching from this distance,” Cassie gave the young girl a soft smile before making her way back to Compound. “Time to finish this,” she flung her whip back out. She let her whip fly towards his ankles, this time however it wrapped itself around both his legs and pulled them together. Cassie heaved him towards her so that he was lying right in front of her. She then slammed her red boot down on the top have of his chest with all her might. “You will never be a hero,” she spoke in disgust.
Michael’s eyes widened at the sudden speed of Wonder Girl’s movements. He hadn’t even been ready for the next move. Being as cocky as he was, he let her attend to her hero business with the small girl.
Unfortunately, doing so left him open to be assaulted. Yet again he felt the heroine’s rope wrap around his legs. This time when she pulled him though, she managed to follow it up with a stomp onto his chest. In most circumstances, the stomp would have phased through, or Wonder Girl may have been shocked, but Michael’s body seemed to go solid for a moment.
“Fuck!” He cursed as he felt his body numb. “Too… much… power…” Michael let out as his body began to sporadically release electricity in random directions. Then his body seemed to brighten with a powerful light that engulfed the entire scene. His screams filled the street before the light vanished, leaving nothing but a black outline of where his body once was... He could no longer play his part as the villain.
Wonder Girl vs Replica – Two Against One
Replica sat rather comfortably on top of Wonder girl. Her punch must’ve made some serious damage to the heroine because she seemed to have forgotten who she was. Replica wasn’t sure though if she was just faking not knowing her name or if she did hit her a little too hard. Either way it made her mad. She pulled her hand back punching blondie in the same spot again. A small crack could be heard as Wonder Girl’s head smashing into the ground. “Your last words will be my name…” Replica chucked as she placed her hands around the heroine’s throat.
“Ah… Ah… Alice…” Cassie struggled to say before she let out an almost cackled in Replica’s face. “Oops! I meant… to say… BITCH!” Cassie then used both her fists to hit Replica in the stomach. The unsuspected blow caused Replica to let go of Cassie’s throat as the air was knocked out of her. “Now get the fuck off of me.” Cassie said as she grabbed Replica by her collar of her shirt and stood up. Though there was a trickle of blood coming down the heroine’s lips, she managed to retain a smile, especially while she held her opponent up off the ground. “Come on, you’re stronger than this.” Cassie said before tossing Replica aside and taking the time to look at her own reflection through the glass window of a store. She brushed some dirt of her jeans and even wiped the trickle of blood from her mouth. “You got me good though.”
Replica was caught of guard hearing her proper name being called. How could she know that? Only a few people know my true identity. From the confused she didn’t notice Wonder Girl’s hands hitting her into the stomach. The quick and sudden impact winded her as she was knocked of the blondie. Replica stopped herself from hitting a nearby bench with her hands. She is talking to me like she knows me personally. Replica rose to her feet aggravated by the way Wonder Girl was acting. Only moments ago she seemed bewildered, however now she was being way too cocky for her own good. Blood trickled down Alice’s arms and hands from being scrapped on the gravel as she tried to stop herself. She ignored the pain as she just sinfully grinned at Wonder Girl before flicking her hair over her shoulder. “I wish I could say the same to your attack…but those punches just felt mosquito bites.” All of the sudden her right arm transformed into a golden blade. She very seductively licked the top of the blade with her tongue as she just stared at Wonder Girl, “Is that your natural hair colour?” Without another word she sprinted towards the heroine, and then moved through her as Replica’s body seemed to become intangible. Once she was behind Wonder girl she flung her blade around and cut a chunk of her blonde hair off. “Look at me I’m Wonder Girl,” she mocked as she placed the hair next to her own before it changed blonde like Wonder girl’s hair. “Hahaha,” she chucked before kicking her in the back.
Cassie was surprised by the quick and tactical movements of Replica, and didn’t even notice her hair was cut until after she got up off the ground from the kick to her back. Cassie would have grunted under normal circumstances, but she just laughed. “My hair? Really?! Do you think I give a shit about my hair?” Cassie asked rhetorically as she noticed Replica had shifted into her. “So you wanted to be me so bad? I liked you in your regular form… It was easier to pound on that face of yours.” Cassie taunted before using wrapping her whip around a trash can and launching it toward Replica. She used the distraction to run forward and pounce with her fist covered in sparks. “Oi mate!”
Replica was getting irritated with Wonder Girl’s laughter, from what she had seen on the news the heroine seemed to be acting rather stranger than her usually self. There was something up with her but Alice couldn’t quite put her finger on it just yet. “Omg, how did you know?...Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a stuck up bitch like you.” Replica’s body altered itself so she now looked like Wonder Girl, “TWINS!” She noticed out of the corner of her eye the trash can flying towards her and quickly took a step back to dodge it, however Wonder Girl was a little too quick for her and Replica ended up getting hit a few times. With every punch and spark, her body transformed itself. She first turned into Robin, then Connor, then Raven and so worth. But since she didn’t quite know their names she just said, “Do you like me better now?....How about now?..Now?” The punches hurt a little but she just tried to laugh it off but all off the sudden hearing her mock her accent made her loose concentration and Replica found herself hit the ground from one of the punches.
“Haha! You think I care which form you take? I’m just gonna keep swinging… or not.” Cassie said after landing a few punches and backing away with a sigh. “I’m bored now. You’re like no fun once things get heated up. And I’d hate to ruin that face of yours… Wait! One question though, Replica. All these people dead, shops destroyed. I even heard you planned attacks on other boroughs. All for what? He’s just another guy. I’m sure he’s not that important or even worth the time. Not worth the effort either. Just be a good girl and go back to HQ. I’m sure you have a guy in his place already.”
Replica just sat up on the ground for a moment hearing as Wonder Girl seemed to be going on a little rant. She was feeling rather tired now and drowned out Wonder Girl’s voice for a little while as she tried to catch her breath. Her attention was immediately drawn back to the heroine hearing her say the words ‘He’s just another guy.’ The words echoed in her mind for a moment as she remember back to when she was in the bedroom with Michael. Those were the last words he said before he was…gone. Her hands turned to fists by her side as she was her normal form again. “You fucken bitch! YOU Don’t know shit.” She leapt onto to her feet and directly at Wonder Girl. The two were sent tumbling into the large water fountain that stood in the middle of the plaza. “You should’ve kept you stupid mouth shut…” Replica wrapped her hands around Wonder Girl’s throat and forced her down into the water. “You messed with the wrong gang…” She pressed down harder feeling Wonder Girl feeling struggling underneath her trying to come up and get some air. Amongst the struggle her mind seemed to wonder off and analysis the entire fight between her and Wonder Girl. All off the sudden it hit her, her hands let go as she moved off Wonder Girl. “This can’t be…” She sat there in the water stunned.
Cassie tried to fight back against Replica’s hold feeling herself running out of breath. Just as she was about to give up, the weight pushing down on her disappeared. Cassie’s head popped up out of the water as she immediately gasped for air. “What the fuck?”
