(i'm just gonna start this out!! feel free to post anytime but don't worry the roleplay will be improved!!)

I look out the window as we drive by, everything on the other side is a huge blur of color due to speed on the highway. It's just me and Blake,my "nanny", it's always like this though, my own parents didn't even feel to get off their lazy asses and say goodbye to their only child! I mean it's not like I'm only going away for a week! This is boarding school!! as we arrive, East Ridge looks like a spiraling castle with all the things that a teenager would want, well accept the Class Buildings where you actullay LEARN something! What i liked most though was that the landscaping was perfect. For me at least, because if something ever bothers me, i can come right outside and load off my steam. Behind me i hear Blake yell "Harlow!",Where should i put your bags?" "Uhh,don't worry about it Blake i'll get them!" I yell back to him. Afterall this was MY boarding school eperience not his! After i unloaded my bags i headded striaght to Room: 224, It was only a wonder to what was in store for me there! Who cares though i was finally here,and for once i felt even just a twinge of happiness!!

I bounce in my seat to the beat of the music blasting through the speakers of my iPod. My mother had forced me to wear a plaid skirt and a "nice" white blouse. Blech. At least she'd allowed me my lacrosse stick. She had packed a bunch of outfits like this, but at the last minute, I dumped them and traded them for the most comfortable attire on the planet; mesh shorts and tees. I barely pay any attention to the outside world, and I jump as my dad taps my shoulder to tell me that we're here. Looking out the window, the land's not that bad. It's got grass, plenty of it, nicely cut and watered to perfection. Perfect for scooping....
He squeezes my arm gently, ripping me from my fantasies of the perfect scoop, my knuckles just touching the grass, as my stick ducked under the ball, bringing it up into the pocket.
"Let's go Kaetlyn." Dad says impatiently. I pull down my skirt a little bit, I don't like how it cuts off like three inches above my knees. My curly hair is pinned up in a ponytail, with one strand in a thick braid that worked it's way into the ponytail with the rest of my hair. I slip out of the car, and hurry to the trunk to reunite myself with my lacrosse stick. I quickly take my bags, including my sports bag, and make my way up towards the big stairs. I mean, they're HUGE. East Ridge is a lot bigger then I though it'd be....
"Bye dad!" I cal back. He doesn't respond. Whatever. I'm free! For the first time ever, I'm in my own dorm. Now I have somewhere to hang my posters from the NCAA women's championships... and put all my trophies, and my lacrosse balls and....

Kenneth languished on a bench in the quad, staring at the sky. He had heard someone say this year's new students were arriving all this week. Sure enough, he could hear cars arriving and leaving throughout the morning. Already bored, he tried to amuse himself by attempting to guess the model of car as each dropped their darling children, but he couldn't do it. Not that it bothered him. He had never been much of a car person, really. He glanced around the quad. There were a few of the other year rounders hanging around, making idle chit-chat, but they bored him. Never up for a wager. What fuddy duddies. He glanced up at the dorms, and saw movement through an open window. Hmm...room 224. That's the girls dorms. Might as well introduce myself. Pulling out one of his many packs of cards, this one labled 'calling cards', he pulled out a stack. They were all the ace of hearts. He grinned to himself as he marked several with the words 'the lounge, ASAP', and tossed them upwards, sailing perfectly in a graceful trajectory through the open window, the only one so far, and put the remaining cards away. Smoothing out his suit, he casually walked towards the lounge, not looking up at the window, nodding towards a few of the arriving students. "Greetings, and welcome to the school. I'm Kenneth Roble, I've been here a while. Any questions, ask me." He opened the door to the lounge, and headed to the second floor, where the pool tables were. There was nobody there to challenge, so he sat on the rail looking out at the lower floor, one leg up to his chin, the other hanging down casually.

I stumble inside... not exactly sure where I'm going... A map would be nice right now. I walk into a random building, hoping to find a sign that says "Girls Dormitories" instead I find "Lounge". Maybe someone there will help me... As I walk into the lounge, all I see are the people I just saw at the front gate. Ugh, new arrivals probably won't know much. I make my way up to the next level, maybe someone will be there? I walk into a large room full of pool tables. Awesome. I pick up a ball from the table, not really dusty at all, either nobody ever plays with them or they clean them every day... I look up, and sitting on the railing is a boy, probably a bit older than me, he has dark hair and from what I cdan tell, pale skin. He's wearing a suit. Gosh knows why... i throw my bag onto the ground for a minute, nobody will take it here, right?
"Hi there," I say, trying not to startle him, it'd be a catastrophe if I caused a kid to fall out a window on my first day... again. 'Umm, I'm new here, and I've got no idea where I'm going..." I laughed, I truly thought it was kinda funny, "Could you maybe, uhh, help me out?"

Kenneth smiled as the girl behind him spoke. Without turning around to look, he responded in kind. "Well hello there. The name's Kenneth. Kenneth Roble. Pleasure to meet you I'm sure. The first thing you'll want to do is head to your room. If you'll just follow me, I'll show you the way." He stood, still onthe railing, and turned to look at her. She was really quite good looking, in a bit of a rough and tumble way. She wore a simple white blouse with a skirt she obviously wasn't comfortable with, judging by how she kept pulling it down and adjusting it. She had a bit of dirt on her cheek. She held a lacross stick. "Bit of a sports player, I see. And quite a knockout I might add. I'll meet you downstairs. I recommend you take the long way. Also, steer clear of the air vents." He gestured towards the skirt. "The gusts are not very conducing to something like that." With that, he winked, and allowed himself to fall backwards, calling out to the room below him. "Kenneth incoming!" One of the few older students downstairs quickly dragged a new arrival out of a pile of beanbags, and allowed Kenneth to land softly on the cushions. He stood up, laughing, looking around at the many stunned faces. "And let that be a lesson to you all, mes nouveaux amis. When you hear that call, you get off those bags. Designated landing pad you see. Otherwise, be my guest. And don't worry, I don't do it that often. Hehe." He glanced around, and saw a rather confused looking girl holding up one of his cards. He sauntered over, still smiling from the fall. It was a rush, that much was for sure. "Greetings, fair lady. I see you received one of my invitations. Just my little way of saying hello, and welcome to our humble abode." He bowed, and kissed the girl's hand. She seemed to be one of those 'alternative' girls. Kenneth was intrigued. "I was just about to show one of the other new students to the dorms, would you care to join us? Who knows, she may be your room mate!" He chuckled at the odds of that happening, then stopped, and ran a quick calculation in his head. He had a thing for odds. And the odds really weren't that bad at all. Not bad at all..in fact..."Care to place a wager on it? I won't even ask for money." A lecherous grin crept across his face. He would of course respect the lady's honor, but that didn't mean he couldn't try and get a little fun out of it.

Ok I guess. I answer, Very interesting way of introduction. "Sure, I mean really what are the odds of the other student being in the same dorm as me? I respond. Quite a facsinating way of "makeing an entrance" by the way when you dove off the second landing. I add. So who's the other student? I ask curiously. You must have a pretty good feeling about me and this other girl being roomates because you were quick to make the bet. I don't care though if you want a bet, then a bet there will be! I say smirking. Ok Prince charming lead me to my towering castle. I say laughing.

Chuckleing, Kenneth looked at the girl. "Eh, some girl I met upstairs. You know, before I, eh. Doesn't really need repeating." He shook his head, trying to get down to normal adrenalin levels. "Heh, anyways, yeah, she looked kind of sporty, you know. Now as to that bet...hmm..a date for the winner? I win, I get to take you out to dinner off campus. You win, you get to have me take you out to dinner off campus. What do you think? You could always change your end of the deal, but I rather think that's fair." He smiled at her, his most charming smile he could muster. It was always a good idea to plant the idea among the new students' heads. That way it wouldn't be too much of a tough fight when he tried to get a date. Not that it was that hard for him, he was one of the most interesting students here.

I laughed, ok your on! So shouldn't we go find that girl? I mean she's propbably freezing her ass off right about now. I just got here today and already the gusts in this place have blown me away. I say tring not to laugh. Oh you might want to learn my name first if i'm gonna have to take you for a date off campus. *I'm so gonna win this bet,there is no way that girl upstairs is my roomate!* I thought to myself. Anyways My name is Harlow Basin.*I really hope he doesn't make the connection of Basin oil& Co.* As another thought of insecurity ran through my head. I must say It's a pleasure to meet You Kenneth! I say laughing. Hey does your trip to our dorms cover a tour of the campus? I've been pretty lost lately so i was wondering if you might do that for us. Me and the other girl of course.

Skye stumbled into the school pulling a large suitcase behind him. Skye glanced around the school and dropped the suitcase behind him, he checked his pockets for his dorm number. Skye pulled a crude looking piece of paper with the number 122 written on it, Skye stuffed the piece of paper back into his pocket. Skye overheard some girl asking for some help from some guy named Kenneth, the girl was really stood out from the crowd she also looked around his age. Skye shrugged and sat on his large suitcase building up some type of courage to interrupt their conversation.

"Hey Kenneth." I ask confused, "Do you know that kid over there?" "He seems lost." "You should use your charm and yet again get another tourist." "Since you are the most excellent tourguide." I say chuckleing. I turn around and glance in the boy's direction. "Hmm he's a little younger than us,You should teach him how to jump of, the second floor" I say repeating the little inside joke. I blush, hopeing I didn't offend him. "I'm just messing with you." I say. "Now where's that tour you promised?" "I'm not getting any younger here." I excliam laughing.

Kenneth lauhed. "Actually not a bad idea. I've never actually led a tour group, but this could be interesting. Besides, we have to wait for the original member of this little group. I left her upstairs, remember. When she makes it down here, I'll show you two around." He shot the kid a look, and felt a small kinship with him. He seemed like a nice enough kid, but something intrigued him. Kenneth had no idea why. "Hey, kid. On the suitcase. Want a quick tour? Name's Kenneth Roble, and I'm about to show two lovely young ladies around the school. Some simple math means that there's one free. Come on, you look like you could use a friend." He mussed up the kid's hair, and hoisted his suitcase on one shoulder. "Here, I'll even help you out." He thought for a moment. "And I should probably carry that other girl's bag too. She looked tough enough, but whatever. Chivalry and all that, no?"

Skye raised an eyebrow in one way he got slightly hesitated and nervous since Kenneth was rather tall and looked much older it made Skye feel slightly intimidated. Skye was about to reject the offer until Kenneth mentioned something about the two girls behind him. Skye felt something around the blonde girl. Skye drew his attention to Kenneth and nodded "sure." he muttered. Skye fixed his hair which was suddenly messed.

I run down the stairs, struggling not to trip over my own feet. I see Kenneth along with a group of other students. A scene girl and another boy who was estimatingly about my age. Impatiently, I pull my bag down the last couple steps, holding my lacrosse stick under my arm. It drags across the floor as I pull it over to them with one hand on the handle and the other holding my lacrosse stick. As much as love that thing, it's not the best thing shoved under my arm if you know what I mean.
"Stupid bag! I thought they made them with wheels now!" I grumble impatiently, large, heavy things aren't hard for me to carry, but they're had for me to carry quickly.
"Sorry it took so long, stupid skirt limits my movements, and the stupid bag is so darn SLOW!" Just to prove my point, I turn around and kick the bag as hard as I can. It moves a couple inches across the floor. I pick it up again and continue over to the small group. I drop my bag on the floor, and collapse onto it, there were a lot of stars, and I ran the whole way, trying not to be squished by my bag, which gained on me more and more every step.
"Sorry," I say, getting back up. "We ready?"

Skye laughed quietly to himself "Yeah, i think were ready" he shrugged. Skye wasn't the type to say much but he knew he would have to if he wanted to impress someone like the blonde girl "So.. your Kenneth? and your name is?" he murmured "I'm Skye Wilson". Skye drew his attention to Kenneth he noticed Kenneth was able to carry his suitcase without much bother, which in Skye's case is extremely intimidating.

"My name's Kaetlyn Johnson!" I say kinda loudly. I hope I don't scare the poor kid... I should probably be tested for ADHD, if the test turns out positive, then that would explain A LOT. I laugh to myself, sometimes I can be such a spazz... yeah, sometimes. "But some people call me Kaety or even Laxxie... I like to play lacrosse." What I say seems kind of random, but oh well, a little randomnessusing never hurt anybody... yet. I get ready to drag along again with my bag, using everything I've ever learned about footwork to keep up. Why'd I have to pack so many pairs of shorts? Because they're all awesome, that's why. I just want to get to my room so I can change out of this gosh-be-darned skirt. I was never the preppy type. I can't help but notice that Skye is kinda cute... with long-ish brown hair and greenish-brown eyes... pretty...
"I'm easily distracted." I blurt out, my eyes wide, and my hands hanging limply at my side. At least i didn't say something like "You're hot"...

Skye's eyes quickly widened at such a quick reaction, he suddenly blushed and laughed nervously "K-Kaety? is a pretty cool name" he muttered trying desperately to change the subject hoping no one would notice him blush. "You are easily distracted aren't you?" he said cautiously, he ran his hand through his hair he usually played with his hair when he got nervous or scared. (its ok he gets that nervous anyway?)

((Kaetlyn didn't really say that last part out loud.... she just though it... sorry if that wasn't clear.))

I felt extremely strange watching Kenneth lugg the suitcases without any bother. I couldn't decide if it was attraction or intimidation, but I'm pretty sure it was attraction. I felt myself blush. but I quickly dismissed the idea of someone like him, likeing someone like me. On the other hand I was looking foward to the "date" this evening,even though more than likely I would have to pay for the meal because I still didn't think there was anyway Kaetlyn and I shared the same dorm. I bet the odds are like 100 to 1. I'm not the best at odds so i don't really know if that's a correct estimate. You never really know though I guess.
"Hey." I say to both Kaetlyn and Skye. "I'm Harlow Basin, It's a pleasure to meet you."

Kenneth smiled. "Alright, so we're all acquainted? I suppose it's time to start the tour! First things come first, though." He reached down and grabbed up one end of Kaetlyn's bag, and slung it over his shoulder. It was rather heavier than he was used to, but he could probably handle it for a few minutes. "We visit the dorms." He looked at the other two people. "I already know where me and Harlow are at, but what about you fine individuals?" He couldn't help but make his speech a little flowery. He was starting to swing towards total ham mode, in which he became, as people tended to describe him afterward, "like a cross between Sean Connery, and some French poet." He liked that characterization. It pleased him. "We're all in the same buildings, so we might as well walk and talk. The dorms are just across the Quad." He walked through the doors of the lounge, trying to disguise the fact that these bags were starting to get really heavy.

I smile. It's almost as if the luggage doesn't even phase him(Kenneth), but I must admit watching his muscles bulge like that is a prize. I laugh to myself thinking about how pathetic I am. "Ok then, Dorms here we come!" I reply. "So would you happen to know my dorm room number?" I asked Kenneth. "So while we're walking, what should we talk about?" I ask curiously.

"Ummm..." I say, suddenly searching for the cruddy index card with my room number. "Darn it, no pockets..." I stop for a moment, careful not to make my skirt flip up.. Then I feel it, a hard square underneath the cloth in my sock. I dig my fingers into it, and pull it out. The pen that I wrote on is smeared, the numbers are blurred.
"Uhhhh... room 224." I announce, holding the slightly bent up card triumphantly. My hands drop to my side and I keep moving. I'm not 100% on board with Kenneth carrying my bag for me, but oh well, you know the old saying, When life gives you lemons, make grape juice.

Skye laughed inwardly at Kenneth "Hey? are you sure you don't want me to carry my own bag Ken?" he asked. Skye rolled his eyes and pulled a key out of his pocket "You should actually write the room number on the key, it helps because i lose everything" he exclaimed "I'm room 123, how ironic." he muttered. Skye looked at both Harlow and Kenneth "So.. are you two an item or something" he mentioned.

Kenneth tittered a bit at Harlow's question. "Of course I do. Remember the cards? I only threw those in one window. You're 224." He shrugged a bit to readjust the weight as they walked, and looked at Kaetlyn. "How about you?" She dug in her sock, and pulled out a card, reading it. Kenneth chuckled a bit, and winked at Harlow. "Looks like it's my lucky day. I win. I get to take you out. How about tonight? We've got all day to decide what to do. It is only about eleven after all." He laughed, and adjusted the bags again. He was starting to strain. "You'll be with Harlow. I take it she can show you to your room?" He glanced over at the kid as he read off his room number. "Seriously? Wow. That's crazy. Gotta love the luck of the universe." He glanced skyward. "Thanks for sending these folks my way, Lady Luck, I'll take care of them." He looked at the kid. "Apparently, you're rooming next door to me. I'll show you the way." He finally reached the dorm buildings, and called over one of his friends from the previous year. "This is Sasha, girls. She'll help you get to your room, if you get lost. Also, your bag's pretty heavy Kaetlyn. Sasha, mind helping her carry it?" He mussed Skye's hair. "Come on, I'll sow you your room, it's a nice enough little place. Mine's more fun though, if you ever get bored. I'll let you have a quick peek if youl ike." He looked over to the three girls. "Good luck in there! I'll be seeing you two back here in a few minutes for the rest of the tour?" He bowed, and turned, heading up the stairs, beckoning for Skye to follow.
