Power: Can create illusions with any element, Can read peoples minds (Though usually only can read peoples bad thoughts).
Weakness: Her inability to control her powers whenever she gets over emotional. Her past being brought up. The fact that she has yet been able to explore her powers full potential.
Biography=
History: At first Marinna seemed to have a normal family. She was happy until her powers started showing up around the age of 12. She tried to ignore them but as her mind reading got stronger it became nearly impossible to focus on anything else. The girl began to skip school just to avoid the thousand horrible thoughts that would constantly run through her head. Things however began to look up as Marinna found out that her best friend also had strange powers. His were the ability to control and create fire. So together the two tried to learn how to live peacefully and control their powers. Before long Marinna was madly and hopelessly in love. Things at home started to get harder to handle so Marinna and her friend ran away together. Finding a small place they thought they had everything they could ever want. Of course that was before things turned for the worse.

The power seemed to be driving the boy mad and Marinna had no idea how to help him. She tried everything she could but with every fight he seemed to get more and more violent. After one particularly violent beating Marinna felt she had no choice but to leave. So that night the girl started packing her bags, unfortunately her boyfriend woke up in a rage. He had threatened to kill her so many times before, but she never believed him. Honestly how had it ever gotten to this point, he couldn't seriously hurt her he loved her right? Wrong... Next thing Marinna knew she was tied to the bed. Worn out and emotionally drained she didn't even have the energy to scream as she saw the flames flickering up all around her. At that point she was already dead inside, not caring if the flames did engulf her. In her hazy mind she was able to make out a dark figure with huge claws come bursting into the house, picking her up and bringing her to safety.

Later on she realized that she had met this man before. He had approached her in a store talking about a special school but she had very rudely told him to get lost. Luckily for her he had been watching her since that day, otherwise she wouldn't even be alive. Marinna spent the next two months in the hospital crying her eyes out. During that time she was introduced to Xavier who told her all about a special school for people like her. Having no where else to go she accepted and is now a new student at the Academy.

Personality: Marinna seems a bit drawn back. Often she escapes into her own mind, scared to let anyone else in on her thoughts and emotions for the fear of being hurt again. However she tries to never be rude unless she has a good reason. Anyone who lies she instantly avoids. Because Marinna knows peoples bad thoughts she hates when someone is always pretending to be happy. To her everyone had a dark side and she prefers when people know and accept theirs. Marinna herself is faced with the daily battle of good and evil. Normally she chooses the right thing to do but she knows its just another day before she has to make the same decision and next time it might not be so easy. Because of her past Marinna is terrified to let her powers get out of control, so much to the point where she basically refuses to use them to their full potential. Although this girl comes off as withdrawn if she truly becomes close to you she is an extremely loving person. She gives her all to any friendship/relationship if you can get past the walls she has had to put up.
Likes: Winter, quiet comfy days, Hot chocolate, nice company, most of her classes
Dislikes: Fire, or the color red. Sketchy men and liars. Hot weather, Feeling alone. Loud noises (Sirens). Other mutants who become power hungry. Feeling lost and confused.
Fears: Being alone the rest of her life, losing control, being faced to face with her ex again
Hopes: To find love again (though if asked she will say love does not exist.) To find a sense of closer from her past.
Family: Dad died when she was young. Mother and little brother are still alive though she has not spoken to them for years.
Pets: None for now
Other: Secretly Marianna often wishes she could see her ex again, however that will be the day evil triumphs over good in her mind.
