Lancelot had been excited to start his new life, far away from where he had spent all his other years. He didn't bring much with him on his trip, because he did not have much. He could feel his heart racing a bit as he knew he was drawing nearer to his new home. He had no clue what the place looked like or how big it was. But to be honest, he didn't care. He just wanted to be with people who may actually care about him, people who didn't know who he was, or what he was. They had no chance to call him a monster, because they did not know he was a monster. He really hoped they would like him, he didn't care if they didn't love him or treat him like a real royal, he just wanted to be cared for and to receive a bit of positive attention. There were so many things on his mind that when he was finally at the castle, he didn't even notice all the guards outside the gate or outside the place itself. He just walked right past them, and they seemed to already know what he was there for. He watched as the guards opened the main doors for him and he stepped into the castle silently.

Karissa walked down the deserted corridor as she was lost in a swirl of thoughts. She was supposed to guard the new princes?! After years of work and proving her capabilities, she was still surprised to be one of the few chosen for the job. Preparations for the assignment ran in the back of her head, but the foremost thoughts were wondering what the two newcomers would be like. Were they young? Or perhaps older? Did they wish to be here? Where they going to be a handful to keep up with or boring? Friendly or rude? Whatever they were like, she just hoped she could look after them well and help them adapt. It may not have been ordered of her, but she wanted to help them settle into their new home best she could; trying to convince herself she was only concerned of the matter in order to make her job easier.

Hearing the gates open, Karissa picked up her pace and stepped slightly around the corner; surprised to see a young man who looked around her age step in. Not recognizing him from anywhere else, and the fact he was allowed entrance without a fuss; Karissa came out of her hiding place and stepped forward. Face neutral but not unwelcoming, she bowed slightly at the waist in greeting then straightened back up to look at the man in front of her. “Good day. You must be one of the princes’ I presume? I am Karissa Fiammetta, is there anything I can help you with?” Attempting to give a small smile, she was inwardly kicking her self for sounding more like a maid than a guard just now. At least she didn’t stumble over her words… or her feet… though, that would have been embarrassing both as a guard and a girl.

He looked at her and gave her a small smile, "yes, i am one of the Princes," he said. He would have to get used to be called a Prince, he had never been called one before, simply because he had never been one. "Uh, well i don't really know if you could help me with anything at the moment, but i would like to know where the room is i'm going to be staying in." He scratched the back of his head a bit as he picked up his bag of things and looked at her. He wanted to look around actually, but he'd rather not carry his things around with him as he did so.
