Two years ago, six people around the world died at the same time, to the second. As the arms of Hades stretched out to them, they were granted a reprieve by six warriors. This reprieve was given on the condition that the person came into their service and helped them in their fight against each other. The six warriors can be thought of as God's by the standards of many. They each possess abilities that can go beyond the comprehension of mortals. Some are common between them, such as enhanced speed, strength and endurance. But, some are as unique to each as one having what one might call magic while another can move cities with his mind. The warriors are using the humans to be their key of sorts into this realm for it is not the first time they have challenged each other. After every game is held, another one occurs thousands of years later, or as early as a year later. Despite their incredible gifts, the warriors are not able to travel between realms and universes with the flick of the wrist. Depending on how difficult the universe is for them to enter, the longer it takes for them to arrive. The last battle was over five hundred years ago with it ending in a draw. Now they have come to this Universe, this realm, to see once again see who is the strongest.

How do the people come together?

It took a while but the warriors were able to gain contact with one another a few weeks ago. They have decided the battle to be fought in the city of Lawrence. They have essentially uprooted those who became their key and are forcing them to the city.

Definition of a Key and Why?

A Key is a human who died at an exact moment two years ago. This occurred while the warriors were crossing into this realm. The Key's are exactly that, they became the door openers for the warriors. To save their lives the key's agreed to allow the warriors into this realm in exchange for bringing them back to life. Depending on the pair, a key can be anything from a friend to a servant.

Warrior? Why are they fighting?

For six key's there are six warriors. To try and understand their existence is impossible, they simply are. They are not creators of the universes or realms, but have a lasting impression to each one they visit. This impression explains why they don't simply continue the fight in that realm, ten out of ten times they destroy it. That is their secret that they keep from the Key's, that they are not just fighters, but vanguards for the destruction of this realm. Why are they willing to destroy this realm just to fight, they don't know. Even the most unassuming warrior admits all they know to do with themselves is fight the others, some even accept it as the reason they were created. However, due to the desire to keep the realm intact until the final fight, they do not use their full strength against one another. This is not to say they don't use all their powers, but keep it to a lesser extent.

Why not just go someplace else, why here?

Simply put, the warriors cannot separate too far from their keys or else they will lose their connection to this realm. The connection isn't very limited though, as nearly half the world apart is still fine.

Lawrence?

Considered the Capital of the world, it is a mega-city with a population of close to forty million. It takes different styles from all over the world and has molded it into one. It doesn't lie in the jurisdiction of any country and has its own police with a private force that acts as its military.

What to do once in Lawrence?

The Warriors have arranged for the Key's to stay in the same school and district of Lawrence so as to be able contact each other easily.

The School and District?

The school is named Holland Academy. It houses grades Five through Twelve. It resides in Ganton, a district of Lawrence. Ganton is mainly middle class with primarily apartment buildings and condos. The overall style of it is very reminiscent of a suburb, with multiple parks and the like.

Final Secret?

The Warriors were the ones who killed their Keys by causing the events leading to their death to occur.
