::Personality::
"So you wanna know a little about me and my quirks huh?"
Anyone that knows Skye would know that it would be hard to describe her because she is very random and a bit quirky. She always tries to keep an upbeat attitude, she doesn't want to waste her time on being depressed about things she has no control on, such as mot knowing who the hell her father is. She doesn't like to be the center of attention and if she is hanging out with a group of people she likes to envolve everyone. She is naturaly flirtatios with other females and might not even know that she is flirting.

Skye doesn't wear her emotions on her sleeve, she doesn't let people in so easily and when she is upset she often removes herself from being around others and deals with it on her own. She doesn't like to bring down others if she is upset and she has issues with trusting. Some people may be able to see that Skye isn't always that upbeat, quirky girl that everyone gets to love but she has yet to meet anyone who she lets see that whole side of her.

A few things you should know about Skye is that she usually is late and usually she doesn't mean to, she has tried hard to work on this issue but something always happens that causes her to be at least a few minutes late. Shes also known to be quite stubborn and its quite funny to see Skye in one of her stubborn moods because she gets this look on her face that once you see that look you know there is no way she is budging.

She would like to know who her father is, she has tried to get the name from her mother but her mother has told her no over and over. There is no name under Father on her birth certificate, she knows he knows who she is but she wishes to knownwho he is or at least his name. She has been searching for a couple years now, even gave a letter to her mother ti give to him but she isnt sure if he ever got it. She doesn't like to talk about her father situation with anyone really, its something she keeps locked inside her but sometimes she worries that she is going to explode from the unknown.

"Into the Past"

Image
::History::
"Not everything is simple, I know my past is far from simple"
Skye Keaton was born on a cold winter day on January 17th to Shannon Keaton. Her father was not present at her birth and he did not plan to be present during Skye's life. When she was old enough to understand her mother said she had a few dates with her father but that was all and when her mother found out she was pregnant her father didn't want Skye to know who he was. The reason why was because he was Antonio Orccheto and he was married and had a family. The only way he was envolved was he had a bank account made for her mother and her and put money in it every month to help out.

Her mother raised her the best she could, Skye was independent by the time she could walk. She got into everything and by the time she was two her mother wanted to pull out her hair. Skye's independence never went away, it actually got worse as she got older. When she entered school she was always one to question her teachers and also had a knack of talking back but she was also one or the top students of her class. She would get sent home with detentions but she always got on the honor roll. She actually skipped third grade and was able to move to fourth grade.

She was able to make friends easily but she preferred to hangout with the outcast group, she liked to be different and not follow the norms of society. By the time she was twelve she already knew she was disinterested in guys and had her eyes on the girls, it felt right to her and she told her mom who was always accepting of her. At thirteen she had her first kiss with a freshman girl, it was just a kiss but it was everything to her. When she was fifteen she already had her face covered in piercings and was smoking pot with her group of outcast friends. Her mother let her explore and find herself, though some things she wished Skye wouldnt engage in but she knew if she tried to stop Skye she would just do it behind her back.

Skye graduated a year early and wasn't ready to go into the college life yet because she was unsure of what she wanted to do with her life. She was still in search of her father but she wasn't sure if she would ever find out who the misterious guy who she shares her genes with. She decideded she would find a job and see how it goes. She applied many places but what shocked her the most was she got a job at the Bistro, she actually only applied at that place because her friend dared her to. She never thought she would be accepted as a waitress with no prior training, but life has always liked to throw suprises at her. She just hopes they won't mind how different and quirky she can be.

Skye Keaton

Skye kept her focus on Maria as the older woman spoke with her, she was kind of suprised how well Maria's perspective of her was when they just met last night. She took Maria's words in consoderation, she did need to let loose "you are right Maria, I do need to let loose"". Before she could say anything else a man came up to her, introducing himself as Frank and asking her to dance. She wasn't sure what to say because she wasn't exactly into guys but Maria practically pushed her to go let loose.

She looked to the guy and gave a soft smile "My names Skye and it would be my pleasure to dance with you," she took his hand and led them to the dance area. "So Frank what do you do for work?" she asked as she danced trying to keep up some sort of coversation.

Maria was pleased to have Daniel relaxing a bit before her, she just wanted him to be an open book. After all, she did love to read. All nonsense aside, she liked knowing people. Perhaps it was like jumping into a new story every time she learned something new about someone. He faltered a bit when he tried the beer, to which Maria just grinned at him, wrapping her fingers around the neck of the bottle. Her fingers were swathing his for a moment before she snatched the bottle away, a slight smile crossed with a funny frown on her face she set it back on the bar, "Let's uh, just leave that over there." She tried to disguise her laughter.

Cocking an eyebrow as Daniel spoke, she nodded a bit, interested and intrigued. "I know you're shy, but that will go away if you want it to; I'm just struggling to picture you walking around a crowded university when you are so darn self conscious." She added, setting her empty glass on the bar top. "Tell me about your family?" Musing now, she flipped some of her hair behind her shoulders, exposing prominent, coquettish collar bones.

All she really wanted out of that moment shared with Daniel was to offer some comfort. She wanted him to know he didn't have to hide or stammer when spoken to. Maria often thought people repressed themselves too much, and she looked to her active friendliness as a way to help people live. Living was much different than just existing.

At the end of the bar sat Aurora, smiling over in the direction of the booth Cole was seated at. Maria waved a hand, wanting her to join in on the conversation and perhaps get a drink. Aurora looked lonely, all dolled up in her party dress and solo, atop the bar stool. Besides, she didn't really like any of her girls to go unattended. There was a thin line, if any, of trust for men who saw a woman alone.

Maria was impressed when her eyes wandered off again towards the dance floor, watching Skye and Frank dance. Then her eyes wandered towards Suri, holding herself a bit and swaying with the music until she decided to visit the main stage. She was without a doubt, going to attempt and soothe the trembling girl on stage. The way Suri was so sweet overawed Maria at times. People always knew Maria as a motherly figure; to her, she didn't really see it that way. If anyone was worthy of that position, it was Suri. Suri crooned to people in a way that made them happily unwind and fall right into her palm. She understood things others didn't. But, in that same respect, Maria knew she could be cruel and dangerous to those who crossed her.

Aurora looked over to Maria when she waved her over and smiled happily. Getting up, she went to her friend and hugged her happily. "You look really pretty! she told her cheerfully as she stood there. "And everyone looks like they are having fun tonight." she said as she pulled away from her friend and went to sit down on the other side of her.

Looking over to Daniel she smiled happily as she stood there. "Hello, I am sorry I don't think I have caught your name, though you look familiar." she said laughing a bit and holding her hands behind her back. "Sorry sometimes I space out and forget who is who." she told him kindly as she sat there. She had also looked to see Skye dancing with a man she hadn't met before. A smile fell onto her face, glad that everyone was enjoying themselves and that everyone seemed happy.

Frank led the way as they walked over to an opening on the dance floor. he was surprised to see how little convincing it took for Skye to join him. “Skye is a interesting name” he told her as he started dancing. Frank wondered if it was short for something, like his name was. He could barely hear her over the music when she asked him about his work. He hesitated to answer honestly.

“My job? I’m a cop. Well, a detective in organized crime division to be more specific.” He told the young woman. That was more honest than he originally intended, but he blamed it on the alcohol and continued dancing. He usually didn't tell people where his worked, he didn't like the questions that usually follow. Frank couldn’t help but noticed something was off about this girl. “You seem like a fish out of water,” He spoke over the loud music, "this is not really your scene is it?” He asked as he moved closer to her so he could hear her response.

“We could go back to the bar if you’re not up for dancing with a hot guy.” He said with a large smile on his face. Up close she was more
beautiful than he expected, the first thing he noticed about her was her many facial piercings, but the second was her gorgeous dark grey eyes. Skye actually looked a lot like the woman in the black dress; he wondered if they were related somehow. Every now and then he would glance around to try to see the meeting Mr. Occheto was in, but with no success.

Skye Keaton

When Frank told Skye what he did for a job she kinda froze for a second, she wondered if he was trying to investigate what happened at the Bistro last night. She wasn't sure what to say, she didn't mind cops but she really didn't want Maria or any of them getting in trouble. She had to figure out a way to tell Maria who the guy was because she had a feeling the older woman didn't know but she decided maybe she could find some more info about him or something.

She decided answering his question would be her first step "well I just started working for a resteraunt and this is sort of a staff party, im still at the point of learning peoples names and letting loose. My mother kept me on a tight leash as I grew up but I graduated high school early and finding a job was the first way to my own freedom. So no this is not usually my scene but as my friend said, I need to live a little". She continued to dance with Frank.

She took a glance at the bar then looked back to Frank "the bar seems a bit crowded so lets just keep dancing" she said with a smile, she hoped he wouldn't ask her age. She was underage and at a strip club, even though it was a 'staff' party she bet she wasn't legally allowed to be here. Though if he asked she could just lie, it wasn't like she was drinking or anything anyways. "So what is a cop like you doing here at this club?" she asked with an innocent tone, she was quite curious about this guy and kinda wanted to know a bit more about him

The lights of the club started to throb more vividly, the strobes causing Maria to get a headache. For a moment, she was dizzy and lightheaded. She tried to maintain her focus on the subject and conversation at hand. Before she could ask for a glass of water, anything really to drink, Aurora popped into existence as if by some form of magic.

"It's going well; you look adorable." Maria leaned up a bit to kiss her friend's cheek in greeting. After all, it was polite etiquette. Aurora took a seat, addressing Daniel with a happy smile. Ordering a shot for the girl, Maria mused, "I just want to see your expression when you shoot some whiskey, it's priceless." Fanning herself, she released a soft chuckle and turned back to Daniel. His eyes were scrawled with discomfort and uncertainty again as he stopped speaking about his mother, mid sentence. "But she's what?" She hoped the issue wasn't too personal, and she would understand if he didn't wish to talk about it in front of Aurora. He even choked a bit when Aurora spoke to him.

She shifted occasionally on her stool, her grassy eyes cutting into her environment. Again her gaze caught Suri, leading the eggshell doll away from the stage. Then it caught the conundrum of a man and Skye on the dance floor, attempting to share conversation despite the loud music. She didn't trust him, and if Skye had half a mind, she wouldn't either. Something was odd about Skye. Maria couldn't put her finger on it, couldn't identify the feeling of longingness and shared identity. How did she know that girl, besides from work?

Current song at club.
Across the room, Big Daddy was nodding, huddled a bit and listening to Martin speak. Maria caught sight of it, occasionally casting glances and smirks at the gentlemen. Martin was hard at work as per usual; very impressive given the surroundings. All in all, things seemed to be coming together under the lime lights, flowing with the rhythm of the music thundering throughout the club. Speaking of thunder, Maria did remember something about a 60% chance of precipitation for that night. Much unlike displeased Chicago residents, she looked forward to the storms.

Maya was flaunting all her beauty and glory, now hard at work seducing the Russian man. She could sweep any man or woman off their feet at the drop of the dime The woman was ruthlessly vampish and charming with her red lips, her large bosom and her perfectly sized waist. Maria felt that she could identify with the woman for the sole fact that she was well dressed and humorous. Maya always knew how to make someone smile.

It seemed Big Daddy was happy with himself and his business; perhaps happy enough to forget about any stern announcement he might want to make. With a triumphant, smoke soaked grin, her indicated with a wave of his hand for his daughter to join him, sitting by Martin. Maria bowed politely, smiling at her quaint friend and Daniel, "Lady, gentleman, I will return." Maria hoped that with Aurora's kind grace, she'd keep Daniel a little less on edge.

She rose from her stool with elegance, adjusting the skirt of her dress so that it didn't ride up. Furthermore, the open-back of the dress already plunged enough, she didn't need any slip-ups. Her spinal and shoulder structure would be enticingly demarcated by the lights as she passed under them on her way to her father, her brother, and Martin.

When she approximated the table, extending her hand for her father to take, she smiled at all of the gentleman. Her legs, elongated in an illusion by the dangerous, platform Asteroids on her feet, quivered a little with anxiousness. "I want everyone to have a free round of drinks. Everyone." Big Daddy looked up to his little girl from where he sat, holding her hand gently. "Tonight, we celebrate." He rubbed the top of her palm before releasing it, giving a look to Martin as if to express his gratefulness for the man. With a well-bred simper, Maria nodded and returned to the bar to inform the bartender. Etiquette. That's all it was. Business was business.

"...I graduated high school early and finding a job was the first way to my own freedom..."
Frank couldn't hear everything the Skye was saying, but a red flag flashed in his head. Graduated high school early? Did she say first job... Frank didn't like the way that sounded. At least she not another hooker. Is she? the detective looked the girl up and down before determining she wasn't a hooker, if anything she was a lesbian, but she defiantly had an underage look about her. Frank laughed at the idea; here he was, dancing with a high school lesbian while the biggest mob boss in Chicago was getting a lap dance on the other side of the room. The thought was amusing he confessed.

So she works at a restaurant that is throwing a staff party at this strip culb, if that wasn't odd enough, Mr. Occheto himself is here along with other know associates. She must work at Buca, it not a large leap, come to think of it Mr. Occheto owns this club also. what an unlucky day he was having. Now who's the fish out of water. Idiot! Frank happen to glance back at the bar and noticed a man that just got there, something was familiar in the way he carried himself, and it didn't seem like he was enjoying the loud music. Frank thought the man looked reminded him of one of those stiffs from internal police. This did not ease his mind one bit. How did Internal find me? he wondered. Maybe he was just paranoid.

"So what is a cop like you doing here at this club?"

Frank looked back at the girl he was dancing with. An idea came to him that caused the young man to smile. He stopped dancing and leaned towards her with a serious expression on his face,"I'm here to arrest anyone who is underage and send them to jail. Can I see some I.D. please?" He asked holding out his hand. The detective waited a few second before cracking a smile. "Relax, it's my day off, I want to relax and have fun, get drunk and fuck. Besides, I'm a detective, not a cop. Cops wear uniforms." he told Skye with a smile still on his face. He knew that most people didn't care about the differences between a cop and a detective, they were all pigs.

Skye's facial expression dropped when Frank asked her for I.D. she quickly looked around trying to find a face recognized. This was not how she planned her night, her mom would have a coniption fit if she was arrested. Just as she was going to try to get herself out of the situation Frank said he was off duty and that he was an investigator. Her face relaxed and let out a sigh of relief "you had me there".

She looked around as she danced then back to Frank, she wasn't really sure what to say but she just had a feeling she needed to tell Maria who Frank was. "Im getting a bit tired, do you mind if we stop and get a drink, nonalcholic for me" she said with a slight smile as her eyes scanned the room for Maria, her facial expression held a glint of worriness to i.

Frank laughed as he witnessed the girls brief panic. His face was warm and his body felt light and heavy, one right after the other. In a sober mind, he probably wouldn't have found it so funny. However he was beginning to feel the effects of the bourbon and rum in his system. It was a strong buzz; a dangerous state of mind to be in at that particular time in that particular place, but what does he have to lose?

"Im getting a bit tired, do you mind if we stop and get a drink, nonalcholic for me"

"A drink sounds great actually. Though I probably shouldn't, I have an early morning in the morning." He managed to say. Did I just say morning twice. hw wondered. "Let's go. This way." He directed Skye, taking her hand and leading the young girl towards the bar. He noticed the man at the bar again, the one that reminded him of a internal police officer, but the man was paying no attention to Frank from what he could tell, so the detective left it at that and arrived at the bar. "Just a beer. Dos Equis." He called out to the waiter. "And I'll cover whatever she's having." Gesturing to Skye.

"I really do like your tattoo, of the heart on your hand. Heart on your sleeve." He said with a smile. It reminded him of something his old partner said; only the strong or the foolish wear their hearts on their sleeves. The thought of his old partner was sobering him up. The beer couldn't have come at a better moment. Frank pulled out his multi-tool and popped open the bottle with ease before chugging half if it. " I'm sorry," he said finally, "I must be keeping you from your friends from the restaurant. It's just I wanted to take my mind off work; I'm really close to a case right now, and I wanted to be with someone who wouldn't- never mind, I'm rambling." He said, taking another drink from the bottle.

Lance stayed at the bar for a few minute observing the coming and goings of the party goers, taking in everything, you could tell that most of the people there were a criminal of some sort. Murderers, drug dealers, fraudsters, anything you could think of, they were all there. Most people would feel intimidated in such a crowd, some of whom were openly armed but Lance had no qualms about entering a room full of armed men, he had done it before in much more hostile circumstances. Lance then noticed a man talking to a young woman come up to the bar, the man gave Lance a couple of looks. I guess i'm more suspicious than I thought Lance thought to himself. He just smiled to himself and finished his drink. He still hadn't seen any of the big hitters he had been hoping to see yet. They wouldn't have all been in the exact same area they probably would be scattered around. Lance went on to the second floor and went to that bar ordering another double whiskey, he wasn't going to get plastered that night but he didn't have to worry about being pulled over for a drink. No street cop was going to arrest a federal agent.

There were some very interesting people up here, the first being one of the people he was looking for, Maria Occheto. She was at the bar with a man who looked familiar. His face had probably appeared on one of the reports that Lance had read on the Occheto's. She was as beautiful in real life as she was in the pictures and descriptions he had seen. She looked like she was having a good time. Lance had read that she had stayed with her mother after her parents had broken up and she had to go live with her brother, Cole and work at the Bistro. She would have been the perfect person to find out some information and maybe in time maybe get close enough to Antonio Occheto. Lance couldn't just go straight out and start asking questions he had to take his time she was probably going to be suspicious of him anyway. He just stayed at the bar making the odd glance at her, observing her movements, making the odd note on his phone. He also did the same with the gentleman with her so he could maybe find out who he was later.

Skye followed Frank as he took her hand, leading her to the bar. After Frank ordered a beer she ordered a diet coke then turned to Frank "thank you for the drink". She looked down at the heart on her hand when Frank mentioned it "well theres kind of a story behind this tattoo. I don't know who my father is, my mother won't tell me but she does know. I got this tattoo to remind me to never give up what I believe in my heart and I believe someday I will find out who he is". She never talked about her father situation because it brought too many emotions up for her.

She took a seat on the nearest bar stool and took a deep breath then looked to Frank "Your not keeping me from anyone really...I just met these people last night some I havent met.." she knew this was the chance she could go and talk to Maria but something else tugged at her. "Someone who wouldn't what? You should finish your sentance" she said with a smile and took the glass of soda from the waitress ans took a sip.

"Well there's kind of a story behind this tattoo. I don't know who my father is, my mother won't tell me but she does know. I got this tattoo to remind me to never give up what I believe in my heart and I believe someday I will find out who he is".

Frank was about to take the last drink from his beer before Skye opened up about her father. He stopped just as his lips touched the glass. The detective didn't expect to hear that kind of story from her. He sat the bottle gently on the bar as he listened. Frank could tell she was determined and passionate about finding her father. It reminded him of his own passion and determination to find the man responsible for his partners death. Of course neither of them knew it is the same man they were after.

"Someone who wouldn't what? You should finish your sentence" Skye said with a smile

Frank looked up at her, not realizing his eyes started to drift in deep thought. "Oh. Right. I just someone who wouldn't remind me of the world I live in." He said simply. " A world of mobsters and violence. I wanted to get away from that for a night. I can't even do that." He mumbled the last sentence as he scratched his beard. "Take that friend of yours in black for instance, or is that your cousin? You two look related. Same lips and cheek bones, minus all of the... pricings." He said as he waved his hand in front of his face. "Well take her for example. She looks like she's into the mob scene, probably dates a hit man or, shit, probably related to one. She looks way to Italian, and rich, I mean did you see that ring on her finger." Frank tried to make a whistle noise, but was only able to blow air through his lips. "You, you look innocent enough."

"I could find your father for you, I am a detective after all. It's like my job to do things like that" He drastically changed the subject. "All I need is your full name and your birth date... Did that come out as creepy?" He struggled to pull something out of his pocket; a pen. "Now I promise you I won't stalk you... Does that sound like something a stocker would say." frank grabbed a nearby napkin as he slowly and neatly wrote something down. "Here. It's my business card" He said with a grin as he handed her the napkin:

867-5304
Francisco Russo

"It's the least I could do for you putting up with me even though you are clearly not in to me. At all." He said, arching his eyebrows up and tilting his head forward, giving her a 'fess-up' look. "Well it was a pleasure to meet you and I hope I will remember this tomorrow." He lifted his beer in the air before chugging the rest of it.

Skye Keaton

Skye shook her head when he asked if Maria is her cousin "no we aren't related she is just my boss". She thought about what happened the night before at the Bistro..all that blood..she shook her head trying to get the memory out of her head and tried to pay more attention to Frank. What Frank said next kind of shocked her "you really could find my father" she said taking it in. When Frank asked for her full name and birthday she nodded but laughed when he asked if that came out creepy "no it didn't". She then asked the bartender for a pen and a piecs of paper and she wrote down what Frank needed.

Skye Reina Keaton
March 8,1996
866-7467

She handed Frank the piece of paper with her information then took his business napkin card and smiled "thankyou". She laughed at his next words "you got me, im more into the girls but you kept me from leaving way too early". She then stood up and patted Franks hand "It was a pleasure to meet you also, and you have that piece of paper to remind you of tonight but ill give you a call before I go to work tomorrow just in case. I do have to go, still have a curfew to make, talk to you soon Frank".

She looked around for Maria or Aurora but couldn't find them so she made her way out of the club and to her car. She drove home in silence, going over what Frank said. She really couldn't believe it, after seventeen years shes going to finally know who her father is. Once she got home she went up to her room and got out of the dress and into some comfortable clothes, then laid down and thought about the night before she drifted off.

Skye woke up to light pouring into her eyes "I should have closed those" she mumbled as she turned over to look at her alarm clock. She couldn't believe she slept till the afternoon. She sat up and played the scenes of what happened last night through her head, she couldn't believe she found someone that could find her father.

Getting up, she made her way to the bathroom and took a twenty minute shower then got dressed in her work clothes. She straighyened her hair out and put on some light makeup. Once she was ready she grabbed her phone and sent Frank a message Hi this is Skye, from last night. I am still interested in finding my father and I can pay you.

After sending the message she went downstairs and found the house quiet, her mom must of already went to work. She went outside and put on her bike helmet then got on her harley. She drove to the store first and picked up a lemonade then headed to the Bistro. She was probably early and hoped they didn't mind.

Once she was parked she got off her bike and took of her helmet, she grabbed her bag and then headed into the back of the bistro. She noticed the bright new tiles on the kitchen floor as she walked across, she opened the door to the front of the bistro and noticed Aurora dancing. She didn't want to interrupt the older girl, so she stood there and watched.

Aurora seemed to be off in her own little world for a while. Her movements were still graceful and sharp as she moved, not losing a beat, that was until she felt someones eyes on her. She was just doing a leap when she turned her head to see who it was, a bright blush of embarrassment fell onto her, and she forgot to catch herself. She landed flat on her face and just laid there letting out a small groan.

The song had ended just as she made her crash and she laid there just like that for a few seconds. It wasn't long until Skye should see Aurora shaking, and soon she heard her bust in a fit of laughter. Sitting back up she looked over at her friend, a bright smile on her face. "Sorry you had to see all of that!" she told her. "I though everyone was going to be gone for a while more still." she admitted.

A red spot had grown on her forehead and on the tip of her nose, though she seemed okay for the most part. "Let's not say anything about this, shall we?" she asked bringing a finger up to her lips as if to make sure she understood to keep it their secret.

Picking herself up off the ground she moved things back into place like they had been before. "How are you this morning?" she question. "Did you have fun at the party?"

Cole strode into the bistro, looking relaxed and cleaned up well. His clothes were crisp, the new beige jacket he wore tailored just right. He wore straight leg dark denim and a pair of Vans as per usual. Rubbing a giant hand against his head, he muttered something incoherent as he made his way to the bar. The restaurant itself was hardly populated at this hour, and Cole's best bet was that everyone was recovering from a hangover or well, a crazy one-night stand.

He caught a glimpse of Aurora from the corner of his eye, to which his lips jerked into a smile. He took a hand, glided it down the seam of his suit jacket, and tried to regain some composure. His head was buzzing internally, probably the alcohol he had in Iowa. Aurora would know it was bad as soon as she looked at him, knowing perfectly well if he was only buzzing now, he was shit faced when he began his drive home. Outwardly, he appeared quite alright. But his eyes, glazed and glassy, spoke the truth.

Cradling his head, he relented and groaned. Though he was in a buoyant mood, his head just would not stop throbbing. In fact, had he not been so slaughtered by alcohol, he'd probably have a drink to celebrate the fact that he sold about eight thousand dollars worth of Occheto 'merchandise.' Raising his head again, he retrieved a cigarette and tucked it between his lips as he lit it, mumbling, "God damn negotiators." He thought himself pretty slick for being able to cajole people to spend such puerile amounts of money, and his sister, he knew, was even better. He had to grin when she texted him saying, "Jackson is coming home."

The ol' boy couldn't stay away, Cole knew that much. They'd seen some shit together, and he was kind of excited for his high school pal to be coming back to town. Sending Maria was a good choice on his father's part, despite Maria's displeasure. It was an indomitable move that could not be countered or deflected. Jackson was still gaga over Cole's baby sister, and it was no secret. A small part of Cole even became a little disturbed when he began to wonder how Jackson would react to all the new employees; the way they looked at Maria. Mr. Hughes did, after all, have a temper problem.

Skye was off to the side, Aurora and herself bantering about something. Cole minded his own business, enjoying the attention not being drawn to his bombed disposition. He tried not to grunt or groan further when the headache rocked his brain. With a sigh, he retrieved his phone and shot a text to Suri:
Hey, are you ready for tomorrow at the pier? We could use your help. Maybe we can have some drinks tonight and talk it over.

Skye watched Aurora for a bit then noticed the girl look at her, she gave Aurora a smile but soon watched Aurora fall on her face. Her hand went to her mouth and went over to the older girl "a..are you ok?" But soon her question was answered when Aurora started to laugh and she couldn't help but let out a small chuckle out herself. "Im a bit early but I had nothing else to do and thought it would be better of me coming early than late" she said with a small shrug.

She smiled when Aurora asked her not to say anything about this "your secret is safe with me". She then went and helped Aurora straighten thing out in the Bistro and when the older girl asked how she was this morning and if she had a goodnight she took a few minutes before she responded. She wasn't sure what to tell Aurora but decided to tell her the truth.

"Well let me first say that was my first time going to a strip club. Maria and I had a long talk then I was asked to dance by a guy. I found out the guy was a police investigator. I have never know who my father is and the guy is going to help me find out who he is. Im kinda nervous though, what if he doesn't want to know me. He sends me money each month but thats it." she let out a sigh ans shrugged her shoulders. "I would just like to at least know his name. So how was your morning?"

Aurora was content for the time being as she stood there. "Thanks." she said as she helped her straighten everything up. Listening to her talk she smiled happily and nodded her head. "I see." she said with a giggle, though when she got to the police investigator, a worried look fell onto her face. "Follow my advice and don't ever bring him around here or tell him much of anything...you will get yourself hurt that way." she whispered as her hand went to the scar she had got long ago.

Soon though her eyes slowly trailed over to the shadow of the man she had came to know and understand that most. She took one look at his face and puffed out her cheeks. "Hold on Skye." Aurora told her softly as she stood there.

Going behind the bar she poured a glass of water and then went to dig through a purse she usually kept behind it. Grabbing two pills she went over to Cole and went to hand him the glass of water and pills. "You know I don't like it when you are drinking and driving." she told him lowly. "And don't tell me you weren't young man I can ready it all over your face." she added.

She was keeping her voice low to him as she talked, not wanting to be too loud and make his head hurt even more. "Just take the pills and drink some water. I'll get you some crackers too, that way you have something in your stomach, and hopefully help with the headache and the buzz you are having." she said as she still held the drink and pills out to him. Just waiting for him to take it.

She'd hate to show up to work like that, in an old, two-piece dress and her hair hardly styled. But, she was making such good time since she left her hotel room, she didn't want to stop off at home. As she was speeding, her phone rang incessantly. She'd glance at it, and let it ring out. "Come on, Lana," she rasped, reading the name that came up. "What is so goddamn important?" Her stomach lurched a bit with worry, she hadn't heard from Lana in a while. The girl only called Maria when she was in trouble. They kept reasonable distance between one another due to her father's orders. He didn't want people thinking they just 'took in any stray and welcomed them into the family'. Her gut wrenched when she imagined him saying it, her disdain wreaking havoc on her brain.

Lana was another sad soul Maria rescued off the streets. Of course, Maria used the term 'rescue' very loosely when it came to Lana. It was maybe a little over a year since Maria and Aurora cleaned the girl up and set her up with a job at the gentlemen's club. Maria remembered the first time she visited Lana after she started working, she had been all set up in a cozy little loft, truly coming into her own skin. Of course, neither Aurora, Suri, or Maria were happy to see the girl in the pleasure business, but it was all they could really offer her.

When Maria and Aurora brought Lana home to stuff her full of food and get her some clothes, the girl thanked them endlessly. Aurora was running a brush through her hair and commenting on how beautiful the length was, to which Lana just shrugged. That beautiful hair, Maria thought to herself. She was nothing but a shell when Maria found her, and Maria was more than proud of the evolution that took place in Lana maturity-wise since being yanked off the streets.

It wasn't long before Lana went and chopped all her hair off, explaining that she simply 'didn't want to be like all the other women at the club, ripping off hair styles and clothes from the big man's daughter'. This made Maria laugh; she didn't know what was funnier, Lana's tone or ignorance. She still adored the little firework. It was one of the last occasions in which she was able to freely share a meal and a movie night with the young girl. They stayed in touch, but it was never up to Maria's standards.

Her phone rang for what seemed like the entire drive home. She was nailing the gas so ruthlessly that she didn't want to risk attempting to multitask. When she saw Buca, her car almost slid right past it as she hammered the brakes, nearly spinning out. Damn, she thought to herself, lost myself for a minute there. The sun was sinking a bit, meaning it would soon be about 4:30PM. She pulled into an empty parking space near the back entrance, flipped down her driver's side mirror and checked her make up. With a groan, she applied some red lipstick and a tiny bit of blush. Her eye seemed to be getting darker with bruises by the day. Hanging her head back for a moment in defeat, she retrieved some cream concealer from her make up bag to dab at her discolored skin. When she was all done, she smelled of fresh peaches and her skin looked even.

She slid some rings onto her fingers, some bracelets and rubbed some extra perfume on her wrists. As she guided herself out of her car, she looked around with suspicion. Hopefully everyone would be arriving soon. But from the way it looked, she had some serious weight to pull with just Aurora and her brother to get the restaurant ready for dinner rush. Then again, it was just Sunday. If she didn't bust her ass though, she'd hear it from Big Daddy.

Blindly grabbing at some platform heels in her back seat, she grabbed a hold of a teal pair as she shoved her phone into her bra with her free hand. She slid the shoes on, slamming her car door shut. Still, her feet weren't revealed by the skirt. "So short," she muttered as she opened the kitchen door, scurrying towards the bar. In her haste, she forgot to check her voice mail or call Lana back.

"Well hey, hey, hey!" Maria grinned as she walked through the large double doors, looking at Skye, Aurora, and Cole. "How is everyone? Not suffering a terrible hang over, I hope?" Maria walked past her brother, patting his back as Aurora scolded him and gave him some pills. Laughing softly, she unlocked the front doors of the bistro and looked over her shoulder, "Did you have a good evening, Skye?" Then she turned her focus back to the establishment as she trotted to the light box. Seemingly, Buca shuddered as it became alive with light.

She wondered how Maya made out. How Daniel and Martin spent the rest of their night. Hopefully she'd be seeing everyone soon and finding out more details from their undoubtedly more exciting evening. And even more over, she hoped to speak with Skye about the unusual guest that asked her to dance.

What Aurora said to Skye kept playing in her head, she wondered why Aurora would say that but she really didn't get a chance to ask the older girl because Aurora went to go see Cole. She went and looked at every table and made sure all condiments and such was put on the tables.

She looked up as she heard Maria's voice greeting them, she smiled and waved "I had a decent night, thanks for the talk also. It did help me quite a bit" she said looking around the Bistro "Is there anything I can help with to get the Bistro set up this evening?" she asked as she looked around the place.

She then took out her phone and took a look throught hebmessages as she checked if Frank messaged her back. With no new messages to read she placed the phone back in her pocket as she waited to hear from Maria on what she could help out with.
