Nineteen : 5’7” : Human : Donor : The Petroves : A Scarred Neck

The Inner Thoughts:
Rhyan is a strong, beautiful young woman. She’s brave, well collected and protective over her loved ones. To those that reflect her personality, she’s sweet, kind, generous and can be quite welcoming. However, she holds up a strong wall to keep people from getting too close to her. Love? Doesn’t exsist. Hope? It was fading quickly. Everything good just seemed too far away to grasp. And too far away meant that there was a good chance it wasn’t real. She’s stubborn, determined, and she will do her utmost best to take care of loved ones.

::He Who Claims Her::

Owner or Master?
Unavailable, after all, she’s a donor.

The Past and the Present
Rhyan had a small family that consisted of a mother, father, and a little sister. After her mother’s death, her father took over the ropes. Farm work was all they had and even that barely got them by. Her father sold most of the household items, horses and goats to provide for his family. It was as if nothing seemed to be enough for their family. Rhyan was eleven when her father first took over the roles of both parents. Her sister was only two years old and didn’t have much of a memory of their mother. Oh, but Rhyan remembered her well. She was nearly the splitting image. At night, she would sneak out and visit her mother’s grave. She would sit there and sing lullabies for her mother, every night until daybreak.

Every year seemed to be harder. With passing time, her father grew older. Ten or so years have gone by and Lynn had grown sick. She was ill with a widespread flu. Her father couldn’t afford medicine or any way to take care of his family. Lynn grew bedridden, her body threatened to break and all she wanted to do was experience the world outside her bedroom. Her father grew desperate and finally worked up the courage to ask for help. However, he asked the wrong sort of people. He couldn’t pay them back
he had tried and tried, but was unable to pay back the debt he owned and, he still needed their help. When he realized just how powerful they were, he had to find a different payment. One they wanted. One of importance. Her blood is a rare type of blood, hard to come by and the most delicious to most vampires. He had to give up his eldest daughter and all parental rights to her body, which allowed him to pay in her blood, to keep the child alive and well.

Rhyan spends her live ‘donating’ her blood, though without will. She had grown accustomed to this life, though she wished there was another way. However the circumstances, she understood it was for the greater good for her younger sister. The fancy clothes and jewelry meant nothing to her, but she knew that it was a price to pay for a life

So begins...

It was moments like these that drove her to the brink of insanity. She hated it so much that she contemplated suicide or starving herself till she had no more blood to give. However, she couldn’t help but think about her little sister. She had to do this for her sister. If it weren’t for her blood, that was so rare and desirable to the vampires, her sister would be dead. She was so gravely ill that it pushed Rhyan to serve what she hated the most. The cold ones. The vile creatures that walk out at night. Ugh, she hated them with the greatest of passion. Ramona Delune was one of the vampires that got her ready for her nightly visit to donate her blood. She pulled her hair up into curls, painted her face with colors that compliment her brave, determined eyes and her lips. Ramona dressed her in a dark red dress, one that went well with her hair. It was strapless, backless, and it flowed well at the bottom. She was dressed with a beautiful diamond necklace and she smelled like lavender. Rhyan was given a bath before dressing, fed well to make sure her blood flowed as it should. A donor
That is what she was called but for lack of a better word, she was more like a slave.

“Cheer up, really, you should be happy.” Ramona whispered, turning the human girl to look at her. Her fingers pressed against the scars about her neck. “You behave well, but you must smile.”

“Because the prefer my blood over others? Because the longer they keep me alive, the longer I get to save my sister and yet, I should be happy because my blood pleasures their taste buds.” She snapped.

“Watch your tone.” Ramona warned. She was an older vampire, well, older in looks, younger in change. She was chose to keep an eye on her, as well as others who were out of line. She was a cook, maid, different sorts. Still, she was higher power over Rhyan, of course.

“When will I see my sister?” She wanted her visit. She wanted to see her so very much. But as every other time, Ramona just shrugged and grabbed the girl by the wrist.

“It’s time to take you to them. My room is rather small here, oh watch where you’re going!”

Rhyan caught the vase before it fell off the desk. She hated being in Ramona’s bedroom. It was so small that it was hard to walk. She was lead downstairs to what the vampires call the common room. They expected it to be comfortable for their business. It was a large room, couches, a fire place and a small coffee table. Rhyan could feel the warmth of the room immediately, as she was lead to stand, facing the fireplace, where the flames could warm her cheeks.

“Now, behave yourself. Stand tall.” Ramona warned, and disappeared through the doors. She shut the double doors, locked it and that was that. Rhyan took the time to move her gaze about the room. Where were they? Did they decide not to have her tonight? Oh how she wished.
