Introduction

The City of Eclipse: The only safe haven for the creatures of the night. Vampyres, Werewolves, Blood Elves, all immortal creatures of the night may find their place here and live peaceful lives. Here they may find those of their kind to relate to, an abundant number of jobs that need filling, and a safety from those of the outside world. The only problems that occur here happen within the domestic communities; wars between races, mass slaughter of humans, etc. These issues are always short-lived, however
. A group known simply as the Sovereigns, a group of elders from each race, control the city from behind the scenes and protect its occupants against those of the outside, and themselves. They act as governors, enforcers, judges, juries, and executioners in all cases involving immortal beings within the city lines. They are a secretive group, and no one is allowed to know who the members are. It is speculated however, that the group consists of the men and women who have lived past their one and a half millennia mark, a feat too great for many to fathom. There many rumors regarding the organization, but the citizens know one true fact: If you cross them, you will die.
As per the instruction of the Sovereigns, the people live by a simple caste system made to keep order. At the bottom are the apprentices of the vampyres and werewolves, beings who live for fifty or more years to serve their masters. These beings typically work as nothing more minimum wage employees.
The next caste is the juniors, those of each race who have yet to reach their hundredth year. They live in something close to medium class, as the Sovereigns will suffer no poverty in their city, and typically hold modest jobs.
The next caste is the seniors, men and women who have met the three hundred year mark. These people live in relative comfort above the juniors and hold higher level jobs around the city, some of which include the managerial positions over some companies. The Masters, the vampyres and werewolves allowed to create more of their species, fall among this caste.
The next caste is the Elite, men and women who have breached the five hundred year mark, marking them well above the average members of their species. They are usually seen among the owners of every large corporation in Eclipse and live in comfort rivaled only by the elders.
The Elders make up the last caste, men and women who have gone well over the millennia mark. There are few Elders in the world, and even fewer in the city of Eclipse. They are revered and respected by all, even those outside of their race.
The Sovereigns do not take favorites, however, when it comes to protection and keeping order. Being a member of the higher castes does not grant one special privileges, despite popular belief.
There is a human population in Eclipse. In fact, more than half of the city’s population consists of these mortal beings. They act as a veil to protect it from the watchful and suspicious eyes of outside governments and help it to appear as a normal city. Since these beings act as an important barrier against the outside world, they are largely protected by the Sovereigns. There are limits in place as to how many can be turned or fed upon per month before the immortal citizens must rely upon the heavily stocked blood banks and alternative foods.
Those who actively breach these limits earn the personal attention of the Sovereigns, and will be dealt with in the same manner as any murderer or rebel. They are captured and executed in any manner seen fit; the only requirement being that the being undergoes great suffering before the end.

There are many races that populate Eclipse, among which are the Vampyres, Werewolves, Elves, Night Elves, Faeries, Demons, and the newly discovered Blood Elves. The Vampyres and Werewolves survive mostly on the blood banks and beef supplies of the city. Some of both species have found ways to integrate into day time society and coexist with the humans. There are a number of vampyres born with the ability to move in day time, but the ability has been mostly seen among those born from members of the Elder or Elite class by natural means.
Blood Elves are kept in small communities close to the central tower of Eclipse, the building the Sovereigns occupy, for they present a certain danger to those around them. If blood is drawn from them, or blood touches their skin, they go into a murderous rage. They have but one true desire, to be covered in the blood of their enemies. These elves are rarely seen in the daylight, but those of this nearly extinct race who have stepped past their base instincts are allowed among the human and elven population.
Elves and Night Elves are numerous in this city, consisting of numbers twenty times as large as the Blood Elves. Though they are much weaker than those of the Blood Elf variation, they have been considered a danger to the werewolf and faerie communities. Elves are allowed among the humans in the daytime, but Night Elves are not.
Faeries live in the moderate numbers in the city of Eclipse. Having left their ever decreasing home in the woodland areas, they have come to the city of Eclipse in hope of finding a way to adapt to this industrial world. Here they have taken on a more human shape, and have learned to hide their wings, but have retained the natural beauty their race is known so well for.
The population of Eclipse is always growing, and the city always expanding. New races are being discovered in the city, and many more are born here that have yet to be added to the census.
So, what are you? What part do you play in this city? What kind of life do you lead, here in the city of Eclipse?

For those wishing to join the Sovereigns, you must send me a request. There are three jobs in the organization, all of which are of great importance. Judge, Governor, and Enforcer. However, every member of this organization is allowed to live their own normal lives, as long as no one knows that they are a part of this group.

Re: [OOC] The City of Eclipse

Hey, Sage, would it be too much to submit three profiles? I'm going to go ahead and submit them as they are, but if there is a problem with having a few -- let me know and I'll tell you which one I won't play. :)

Re: [OOC] The City of Eclipse

Okay, I'm in, I'll have a character submitted soon. I know I'm not the only one who likes werewolf, vampires, druids, etc....
