The country of Velids was a great and noble country, back when King Desmond Flagg was on the Throne. The citizens where happy, prosperous and in good health. The overall moral was in high standing and positive. Desomd was loved by all and hated by none. Though Desmond wasn't real lucky with family. He lost his wife when he just crowned king and Desmond only had one son. Then one day Desmond got gravely ill. So ill hat the court thought Desmond was going to die. They placed his son on the throne. Then by some miracle Desmond got better, though when the king found out he threw Desmond in the Dugueon. The new king wasn't as good as his father. People were sick and poor. He raised the taxes and cared not for any one but his three children. Though it seemed the family cursed was passed on to him as well when the oldest turned 12 the Queen died. He also had less leniant punishments. It was usually death by hanging or be heading. Soon people started talking about a rebellion. 18 years have passed since the king took the throne. His three children knew nothing of the outside world. Though when the oldest was exploring the dugueon he found his Grandfather in a cell. There he learned of the horrible things his father did to Desmond and the outside world. That night he took his sister and left. Though tried to convince the youngest that the King was evil. Though the youngest wouldn't hear of it. He was convinced that Father was a good man and was making the country stronger.
