New York City... the city that never sleeps. It is my home... but I call it that begrudgingly. Many of the people are victims who are tested through survival of crime. Some make it... but others are cut short. I'm one of those survivors. However, unlike some people, I told myself that I wouldn't stay just that. Now I am a shadow traversing the city, taking down anyone who dares try to take away innocence from the people. I will not let them suffer what I've been through. I am the city's child of the night... I am the Darkling.

The Darkling... he is a vigilante that some have dubbed to be ripped right out of a comic book. Some consider him a hero, while others consider him a menace that will eventually go too far. However, one thing that they can agree on is that he does his work with efficiency. He's viewed as more than just a being, but rather an entity; he exists everywhere and appears anywhere that trouble seems to start up. One can't deny that he is good and tracking down criminals. However, as time progresses, some have noticed a change in the Darkling. What once started off as detaining various criminals has evolved into a series of vicious beatings. Some have been brutalal beaten within inches of their lives, while others have even been mutilated based on suspected crimes. This case of devolution creates unease amongst the people, generating fear and paranoia. The situation only gets worse as the panic turns into anger, creating vendettas amongst gangs, rioting from the people, and practically overwhelms the law that must diffuse the situation while trying to find the Darkling at the same time. The only thing that can be agreed on is that that Darkling must be stopped before the situation spirals out of control.

The man who dons this persona is Chris Kofax. Although a seemingly normal individual, he has a history that fuels his actions that may eventually destroy him. Even unbeknowest to him, his fight of "justice" is slowly falling into a pit of personal vengeance. Those who known him must find a way to help him on the right path before he goes down a road he can never come back from. Can he redeem himself, or will he fall so far down that he can't be brought back? Either way, everyone's lives will come together in a way that no one will be able to leave unscathed.

I only ask of a couple things.

1) Please use propper grammar and spelling
2) Try and post every day or two.
3) Post at least a paragraph. It's a little hard to do anything just based off a couple of lines.

Other than that, have a good time and make an interesting character.
