Personality

One who will break rules if need be, she'll say what she wants when she wants. Although her attitude may come across as slightly arrogant, she'll admit defeat, cut her losses and start again. She's fairly easy-going, Maya may have a bit of a temper problem from time to time but she's very patient. She can be one of the most reliant people, she'll listen to anyones input, and her logical side does quite well in dealing with things fast and effective. A bit of an impulse driven individual, she'll have a plan but if things don't go as planned, she'll improvise with ease on the spot. Her love for maths and puzzles, and everything mind boggling has given her the ability to think outside of the box - something she quite frequently uses at work, she's a Med student, final Year.

When everything went down, Maya was just out grocery shopping in town. She was wearing her usual attire, fitting light wash jeans, heavy buckled leather belt, white wife-beater, heeled - brown leather boots, light wash jeans jacket, dark sunglasses.

She bought her weapons from an arms dealer in town, she didn't raid the place as such but got almost anything she could find or deem useful - she's never fired a gun in her life.

History

Solemn heir to a fortune most would only dream about, Maya always had it very good. Although a tragic accident had her parents see an untimely demise at the hands of a drunk driver when she was just 14. Her inheritance was enough for her to have a more than comfortable life, which would have granted her a stress less existence, but she decided to go to Med school after graduating from high school, wanting to build her own future rather than just existing in the shadow of her parents. She was working close to home at the time of the epidemic, heeding the warnings, she went on a shopping spree while others lived their lives as if nothing was going on. She barricaded herself at their family mansion, with the two personal there at the time. Though both of them left in fear of their families being in trouble, it was the last time she saw them. But thanks to her fathers paranoia, the house was equipped with state of the art security. The mansion turned into a fortress, and Maya was living off of her stored up food for many months. Until supplies ran short and she had no other option but to go out and find others.
