Introduction

You have received a letter. You open it and find a picture of a heptagram, with a letter explaining it.

More commonly known, as Solomon's Key, the Devil's Trap is used to immobilize and control demons. It is similar to a circle of salt but more powerful, and can not be brushed or blown away. It is usually painted or etched into the ground. The Devil's trap can also be used to inhibit demonic powers. They not only detain a demon, but are also drawn at entrances as a deterrent to prevent access to a building, room, or container. The devil’s traps seen in Supernatural all originate from The Lesser Key of Solomon, which is a grimoire, or magical text, written in the 17th century. It contains rituals and spells for invoking and controlling both demons....and angels.

This heptagram is used to capture all spirits, and when caught, will bow to your every will. When they enter the outer circle, they can not physically leave it. And so, their bodies are trapped until the user lets it free. When trapped, the user can draw the spirit's power and use it as it's own.

But one should always know not to make a deal with spirits. There is a reason why we are separated from the spiritual realm. Everything about it, is simply two-faced. Never trust a spirit.

If you are interested about learning more about this symbol, find my place of residence at #13 Crestview Lane, Lake Charles, LA. This is a way to stop the madness.

Yayyyy, demons and angels and....stuff...*ahem*.
The devil's trap is in no way a demonic or a satanic symbol. In most cases, it acts as a ward to fend off spirits. I don't recommend ever actually using it, but it's a fun idea to twist it into a roleplay. And if people are interested, I'll start it up.

Re: [OOC] The Devil's Trap

That's just the general concept, and the plot unfolds in the story. I'm more used to actual roleplaying, like using dice and the what-nots. It helps to really get into character, so I usually run with that and it goes pretty well. I have the beginning set up, which I will post whenever people join. And once I see how the beginning plays out, then the rest will be set. I need to understand everyone's character before I make a plot. It's how it should be, so the story has more meaning to it.

Re: [OOC] The Devil's Trap

Hmmm...this could be fun. ;) I've got an idea for a character. But do you have any ideas for a sort of plot or is it just a general concept?
