Malegeant, Jarl of Northumbria

At the age of 41, Maleagant is not a big man nor a particularly imposing one but there is something about him that makes all men fear his approach. Born in the wilds of Northumbria he has the long hair and beard of his people in fine chestnut brown over a pair of eyes of the same colour. Of average size for his people he is six feet tall with broad shoulders and a steady gaze that make most other men look quickly away. There is something unnerving about his gaze and how you feel as though he can see right into your soul.

Personality

Maleagant is a lord, more accurately the Jarl of Northumbria His title and wealth are not born of high birth however but rather taken on the edge of his axe. He is a hard bitten, quick witted fighting man who enjoys a good drink and a hearty laugh. He has no time for those he sees as weak and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He is no man of the Christ god and actively seeks to put an end to the spread of of Christianity through the lands of England. You will find no charity at his hand, though if you listen closely you will hear him speak in wistful tones of one day being King.

Equipment

Maleagant has taken much from the Vikings raiders he claims amongst his ancestors. His personal warship, the Storm Reaver, is a captured Viking longship. His personal weapons include a round shield, short sax, longsword, throwing axe and his prize possession, a two handed battle axe named Bloodrage.
