Description

Image

Name: Aaliyah or as she prefers Ali.
Age: 19

Standing at around 5'5", Aaliyah is average height. An atheletic frame is well toned and muscled, but not overly, from her training. She takes pride in keeping herself in shape, believing that she will need it from the upcoming battle. Long raven coloured hair reaches the middle of her back in a wave of shiny beauty. It is something else she takes pride in. With an oval shaped face and pale skin which shows up even more due to the dark hair, she has flushed pink cheeks. Full lips red lips are also more defined due to the paleness of her skin. Almost a real life Snow White. However, her most defining feature is her eyes. One is a slate grey, with a hint of deep purple around the pupil. The other, more shockingly is a golden colour, contrasting with her grey one. Each is framed by thick eyelashes. All of her other features are small and petite.

Personality

Ali has often been described as a cold hearted person, who is so fierce that she scares off everyone that attempts to get closer to her. This is partly true. Ali does not trust easily, therefore when approached by anyone she doesn't trust, she often cold and unresponsive. Her sarcastic way of talking to most people is somewhat different from her sister, who appears a lot sweeter than Ali. Closing herself off from everyone isn't hard and she tries her hardest to keep herself to herself. However, behind this tough exterior is a vunerable young girl who is terrified of what she is. Ali's former personality is just a front. Before she hit twelve years old, when she discovered her powers, she was the sweetest girl. But her abilities frighten her and in an attempt to protect those she loves, she keeps herself to herself. Ali is really a sweet girl, who is a valuable friend, loyal and caring. Once befriended, this side of her shows, despite her trying to hide it behind layers of toughness. A pure heart of gold lies beneath and it needs someone to make her realise that she's not the awful person that she believes.

Equipment

Power: Weather control - This ranges from controlling existing weather to creating her own. Often when she is upset, it rains or is sunny when she's happy. However, when she gets angry, she has no control.

Other than that, she has a bow and quiver which her father helped her to carve herself. The arrows are tipped with swan feathers and she makes each one herself. She also carries a dagger in her boot, just in case.

History

Ali was born to one of the Elders, though not one of the originals. Her mother was born to an original Elder in the forest and promoted to an Elder when her mother died. However at this point she was already pregnant with her daughter. Despite her responsibilites, her mother had the child, named her Aaliyah and had hardly anything else to do with her. She had too much to be worried about. And so her father Dervian brought the baby up on his own. She doted upon her father, loving him far more than her mother who she rarely saw. When she was just five, her mother gave birth to another, her baby sister. After a hug argument between the two parents, Belinda agreed to raise this one herself and have more to do with Ali. And so the two sisters grew up together in the relative calm of the forest camp, away from those that could hurt them.

But tradegy struck when Dervian disappeared when Ali was just twelve years old, her sister eight. Ali had been a late developer with her powers and so this tragic disappearance brought her powers to the surface. For four whole days and nights, storms raged around the forest. Belinda could do nothing to consol her daughter as they had never been close. She always favoured her second daughter, who from the moment their father disappeared was the sweeter of the two. Aaliyah turned bitter and cold, especially towards her mother, who she blamed solely. Ali even disliked her sister at times and blamed her for all that had happened.

As she grew, she spent more and more time away from camp, much to the displeasure of her mother. There she learnt to control herself as much as possible and also found her companion. A foal who she later named Prince. To annoy her mother further, she brought the horse back and insisted on keeping him. Now, she seeks her father who she does not believe to be dead, but merely missing, maybe even a captive.
