Description

Lethos is a thin young man, of regular stature. Not requiring any uniform, he left Earth wearing nothing more than a pair of blue jeans, trainers, and white t-shirt and a black jacket that he wear zipped up. These clothes were designed especially for Lethos by Earth's development team to meld with him into liquid metal. His eyes are dark brown, coupled with the messy black hair that often flaps around in the wind, sometimes covering down to the eyes if flung forwards. A slight beard of only a few days can be seen around his lower face.

Personality

Lethos is a quiet, humble person. Some would say almost mouse-like. Since receiving his ability, he has become slightly more outgoing and more confident in himself, but not in such a way that makes him seem arrogant or offensive. Lethos is understanding, and always possesses an open mind, which makes him easy to get along with. He is never offensive, but this does not go hand in hand with being a wimp. Lethos is able to fight and if the need arises he will do so, but will spare lives whenever possible. A non-violent solution is always the best solution. Lethos does not enjoy debating or arguing, but is often annoyed by the closed-mindedness of others. His reasons for volunteering into the war are various, but he does not consider the Angels to be the death-deserving oppressors that his leaders do.

Equipment

Despite himself being an effective weapon, Lethos carries a simple handgun that he asked for before leaving Earth. Able to create bullets from his own body, ammunition is not an obstacle for Lethos. Any other weapons that Lethos needs for hand to hand combat, he can create himself.

Genetic Enhancements: Lethos' entire body is as carbon steel, granting Lethos strength and resistance that surpasses those of many. His coordination and agility remain the same as when he was a regular human, but he, like any metal, is affected by magnetism. The metal within that runs throughout Lethos' cells is only solid in the skin. Within, the metal is liquid. Lethos is able to transform any part of his body, or the entire body, into liquid metal and reform it as he sees fit. Finally, Lethos can liquefy any metal he touches, and also absorb it, effectively regenerating and healing himself. Whenever a part of his body is in its solid metal form, it is immune to pain.

History

Lethos was born when Earth's enhancements for the population were at their peak. E-Tech was the largest provider of abilities, and like many young children, he found himself dreaming of possessing powers just like his favourite comic and virtualvision characters. Unfortunately, this was not to be. His family was far from rich, and instead of attending school he was home-taught until he could work and bring money home. This he did until he was fourteen, when he first started to work with drugs to try and earn a little extra and keep the family going. At first, things went smoothly, until his operations were discovered, first by police and then by his family. This lead to three years in prison and his family's disappointment. When he was finally released at the age of seventeen he found his family to be even worse than when he had left them. Despite what he offered, they did not want his help, and wished to get by with honest labour. This is what Lethos grew to offer, but even then was rejected for his past crimes, not only by his family, but by any employer he visited. Without education to speak of and a criminal record, he returned to the world of drugs until he was able to rent out a flat for himself. Three months went by after his release before he was approached by a shadowy type who offered him a way onwards. It was a project created by E-Tech that would allow them to traffic abilities into the homes of the not-so-privileged at a lower price. All it took was test subjects to provide positive results on possibly dangerous enhancements, unlike the completely safe genetic manipulation offered officially by E-Tech. With the hope to help his family, Lethos accepted, and through painful treatments he received the gift he now possesses. Despite the money he earned from being a guinea pig, his family still did not desire his aid, and after being rejected a second time, Lethos joined the ranks of Earth's military... Earth attacked Omega. Almost immediately he was sent to the front line to fight Omega, and their he witnessed the gruesome truth. In the beginning, Omega had only defended their home. Earth were brutes trying to wrestle Omega's culture from their own hands. Lethos survived this battle, and the retaliation of the Angels, unlike many, to return home. He had seen Earth's cruelty in war, and the devastation provoked by the Angels. The war had to end. It seemed, though, that it soon would. Omega eventually drew closer to Earth with an army of their most feared Angels. Lethos was rejected once more by his family upon returning, and with his mind made up, he decided he would volunteer for the mission to defeat God to end the war, protect his family, and maybe earn their respect once again.
