Night doesn't want to be selfish, but he really want's his reward. He decided that it depends on the ShinzΕ, because he doesn't want to be with someone not very kind and especially not animal friendly. He wants both. He does think the mission is pretty twisted and can't believe he signed up for it, but if he can get his best friend Okami back then he will do it.
