Legendary Knight of the Current Generation Alexios Dynasty. Now travels from city to city as a drifter.
This poor destitute soul appears to be an abandoned character, but their creator chose not to give them up for adoption. They now roam their universe with no true purpose. How terribly depressing...
Leo has an athletic build with noticeable muscular definition and was clearly built for speed without weakening his strength. Often complimented on his dark red hair, eyes and facial features due to looking younger than he actually is. His hair goes down to his upper-back in length, and is often tied in a loose ponytail. While being thirty years old he appears to be in his early twenties. Leo has several scars on his body, the most prominent being on his back where a very powerful mage carved an X (More on that in bio). He typically wears a simple red cloth shirt with a long black coat that goes down to his knees. He also wears black pants, shoes and fingerless grip gloves. His old armor from his time as a knight was dark red like his hair and looked considerably light, while also protecting. The chest plat had the emblem of a phoenix directly in the center and had intricate flame carvings covering it. The greaves and boots were similar but lacked a phoenix carving. While lacking pauldrons, it was obvious that a great amount of detail went into the gauntlets. On each was a pair of phoenix wings beginning at the wrist, with the left gauntlet having an elbow guard. Also, the left gauntlet's finger's had extended tips (about an inch in length), allowing for clawing attacks.
Leo is brave and reckless by nature, often diving head first into the thick of battle and being surrounded by enemies. Much like his heavy offense style of fighting, he doesn't keep to himself and often gets involved in other people's problems. For most opponents, Leo seems calm and collected, nearly finishing battles before they even start. However, if he fights a strong opponent he tends to enjoy himself more and even goes as far as to have actual conversations with his opponent in the middle of battle. He isn't someone who thinks any life is more valuable then another, which has often got him into trouble with military superiors. Leo has strange eating habits, often waiting until he is absolutely starved before deciding to eat. He will often order and then ask for all the condiments, drenching his meal in them until the bottles are almost empty.
The clawed gauntlet allows for scaling surfaces, attacking and supposedly allows Leo to travel down the side of cliffs and mountains by using it as a support. He also carries a long sword with a red and black hilt. The grip is red with the end and guard being black. The blade itself is crimson red with the words "To win without risk is to triumph without glory," inscribed on it.
Leo grew up as the son of a merchant in Alexiosander. His father would often put up their extra room for rent and typically the renter was a traveling merchant or visiting the city for an extended period of time. He was found to be gifted in Pyromancy and thus his father gave him a few unsold books on the subject. One day an older looking gentlemen rented the extra room and would seem to conduct his business in the middle of the night, often waking up Leo in the process. One day the man walked up to Leo while he was practicing in the backyard of the store and held up a large clock in front of Leo. The man told him that he was to one day become a great knight in the Court of Alexios, but to do so he must quit magic and pursue physical combat. The man gave Leo a small sword and taught him three hours a day how to fight with it. When Leo was 11 he had already been training with the man for a year. He had become a great sword fighter for being only eleven, but his joy at his accomplishments was short lived. The older man disappeared a few days after Leo's eleventh birthday and he never saw the man again.
At seventeen he joined the military, using his speed and strength to best everyone else at his station. He often spoke to others about his destiny to become a knight, but everyone said it was impossible for someone not born of nobility. He did not let that deter him as he kept training and fighting, earning accolades and awards. At age twenty-three he was brought back to Alexiosander and was able to achieve the dream he has had for over a decade. For six years he fought as a knight of Argosh and the Alexios line, becoming a legend through his courage and abilities. During that time he met a powerful Carnomancer, who was able to turn one of Leo's soldiers. Leo was caught due to his own carelessness and he paid dearly for it. The Carnomancer was planning to use Leo as the basis for a new golem, but not before carving a large X into Leo's back for his own sick pleasure. Leo was able to escape his shackles and make the mage pay for what he did. After that he served two more years before leaving the Court all together. He left without a word and has since drifted from city to city, town to town. Word has it that Alexios is looking for him as he committed an act of treason by leaving that soon and not informing anyone.
