Introduction
Then, the new millenium came and there was a sudden boom in the number of gifted children being born. Food additives? Cell phone radiation? Pollution? No-one was quite sure what had caused the sudden increase, but as the Gifted Boom generation grew up, there were big problems.
Gift-related crimes soared, with police officers dying every day thanks to the destructive power of this new breed of criminal.
The public cried out for something to be done, and it was, in the form of The Agency for Gifted Control, or simply The Agency. The Agency were an organization somewhere between the police and the military, charged specifically with controlling gifted crime.
For some years, this seemed to work well, and the people came to trust and support The Agency. The Gifted were happy enough too, until the new and seldom-seen Board of Directors were given authority. They were made up of very intelligent people, no doubt...but they had nefarious motives.
Slowly they began to increase their control over The Gifted, vocal gifted rights activists began to disappear...and then innocent gifteds began to be taken. Meanwhile The Agency's publicity department were churning out posters and TV ads to spread a climate of fear, to make humans terrified of Gifted attack. So it was all falling into place.
With all against them, Gifted people were forced to hide...or run..to seek shelter in forgotten places and to try and survive long enough to fight back against the sinister organization out to destroy them.
Eventually this led many Gifted with the abandoned city of Chesterfield, a place where humans had left and Gifted tried to hide, hoping to stay away from humans. It became a magnet for Gifted Activity.and so drew in Agents from the surrounding Agencies in the nearby towns of Westwood and Ravenswood, intent on meeting thier quotas of captured Gifteds one way or another.
It was clear that there was going to be trouble.
Rules
1: No godmoding or powerplaying.
2: No romantic plot tumors.
3: Interact.
4: Be creative.
5: Don't be overly dramatic, and expect characters will come to you.
It's all standard. Use logic, and you'll be fine.
You Might Want to Know:
1: The format is similar to 'The Multiverse.' We will roleplay in the chat, doing a quick-fire roleplay format.
2: All the listed locations are locations that are commonly used or are tied to a character's backstory. If you think of an agency base, all it needs is a quirky codename, (usually a plant and animal mix, always something nice and cheerful) a PM to me, what state it is in, and what type of agency (Containment, Development (experimentation, the money makers), Training, or a mix.
3: All sorts of species are allowed here, but I request you keep a limit to the animal characters unless you feel you have a decent one.
4: http://thegiftedrp.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Species. This isn't required to understand the roleplay, but if there is a term that is used, and you don't understand it, you can find it here.
