Introduction

Hundreds of years ago the human race ruled the lands of Anidon. There were four Great Houses; The House of Triat (the Chosen), The House of Saviesa (of Wisdom), The House of Forca (of Strength) and The House of Escut (the Shield). They ruled their lands and people well, and had been given great respect from all other races. But one day, the Fallen God, Parishio sent a hoard of monsters to attack and kill all of the mortal realm for he had felt they were guilty of crimes against him and his kin. Seeing this, his siblings went down to the four corners of the world and spoke the the mortals.
"They spoke as one; 'We are the Four Great Gods, we who claim Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Our brother has watched your world and deemed you guilty of crimes against us, thus punishing you to death. We who are Four have seen the error in his ways, we see that you are not perfect, nor free of fault, but are forgiven in these things with the love you hold for life and each other. Your cries and fears have been heard. These beasts can not be killed with merLe mortal weapons, but there is hope.' They spread their arms, the elements they possessed swirling around them with terrifying brilliance. 'Embrace us, promise us your loyalty and love, and we shall grant you our Gifts. With these powers you shall persevere and flourish.'"
All but the human race bowed down before them, accepting their gifts of magic, and together, were able to defeat the Fallen Gods monsters.
The humans, however, angered, rallied against their saviors, killing off Demi-Gods one by one. Soon they were known as God-Slayers, and feared by all.
Unwilling to eliminate them like their brother had tried to, the four other Gods locked the humans away deep underground, wrapped in cacoons of magic so that they might sleep until a prophecy could be fulfilled.
Now, three hundred years later, the Four Great Gods have disappeared and the magic surrounding the humans is beginning to weaken. Some have begun to awaken, and the world is not as they left it...

In the beginning, before the world had changed. Before the Gods had set foot on mortal land and magic coursed through the air. She knew peace.

But the God Hunt had been a horrible, bloody bath for man-kind, and she was guilty, just like all the rest. Cursed or blessed by an indefinitely long-lasting sleep she, her kin, and many more were hidden away, wrapped in crystalized magic until fate awoke them at long last. Though Odin, son of Lin and God of Death tried to shield them from the affects of time, many would never wake again, it seemed the younger were more apt to last through this hibernation. They barely aged, never felt the pangs from hunger or thirst, sickness would not touch them, and the very elements were what protected them. They were hidden from the world, seemingly vanished overnight, leaving other mortals to question the Gods actions. Where they dead, moved to another land like the Dragons had done? No one knew.

Now, six hundred years have passed since that silent night and the magic around the humans is beginning to breaking. Some have already begun to walk the lands once more, seeking old kin or a new start. Most have masked themselves, blending in as elves or staying away from living things altogether. There is no forgetting their past, no forgetting their treachery to the ones that gave them life...

Anidon is alive and flourishing. The elves have stepped up as the new, powerful, ruling race. They are a wise, stable people, this is clear to see. And though there is always conflict in someway, there seems to have been peace for many years. Trees and forests are healthy, crops ripe for harvest. The air is clean, the waters plentiful.

Why is it then, that she could not quite get a handle on things.

She rested just under tree cover, the city of Florlel showing over the crest of a hill. It glowed in a sun light that had just began to set, there would still be hours yet till darkness. She could hear the hustle and bustle of things from where she sat, though the wind was not strong enough to bring any smells with it. Out of habit she chewed thoughtfully on her lower lip, staring, lost in thought.

From what she had learned and seen humans were still next to nonexistent, especially in large places. There were too few of them to band together, fewer still to start anything worth finishing. She herself knew she was the first one to waken from her House and she had seen no others since her travels north. For a month she had hidden and prowled the night, sneaking from place to place without being seen or discovered. But now she craved the feel of people around her, needed human interaction, to hear another persons voice, a conversation, a decent meal. Anything but solitude and the night.

Roslyn stepped forward, adjusting the quiver and small pack on her back. She lifted the hood once more to hide her ears and a good portion of her face. It was a risk, she knew, going into a city this big. A town would be wiser, safer. But if she was caught, were would she run? In a city... It was easy to disappear. With one more contemplative nibble she started down the hill and up the other. She'd go into the city, find the first food stall she could, and eat. Her mind was made.

Iaro walked proudly in full armor as always tall for a dwarf but still having the make up massiveness that dwarfs had. His appearance was noble and just but still happy expression made him the perfect roll model for the dwarfs. He set three steps to the balcony before stepping into the light to oversee the giant plaza holding a crowd counting in the hundreds but Iaro didn't have any nervous reaction instead he raised his arms proudly making the people of the capital of dwarfs silent "My people" He paused for a dramatic second hearing the positive reaction "We the dwarfs are nearing the new elections for our new leader. I would like to say you to elect me and then make up some sort of speech but that would lying. Think about it how many kings have done what they promised? Not one of them! Marick Blackstone promised wealth instead we were thrown into war with the elves 100 years ago to starve and to be poor as they slaughtered us all! Clri promised health instead we got a plague coming out of the deepest mines that he couldn't stop ending in his demise 200 hunderd years ago killing so many of our citizens! Now our current lord Ulrio promised Protection but instead we are now faced by a ancient evil that he refuses to acknowledge." The crowd looked a little unsure what Iaro meant but the prisoner brought to the balcony heavily chained as some sort of beast "Humans! They have returned!" The dwarf's had made humans more of a fairy tale demon than a race and so the crowd was scarred. "And our lord doesn't do a thing! But I know we can stop this plague from capturing our and the elves and don't forget the shape shifters Anidon the land is ours now not the humans that suppressed us so long ago! We and the other races deserve Anidon not the one's who refused our god's gift's there heretics! Heretics that refused our kind god's deeds and instead turned on them they don't deserve to live." Iaro eye's were filled confidence as he won the crowd for him. "There demons! Demons I say you! If you elect me then I will convince the elves and the shape shifters clans to join us in a purge of these monstrous being's out of our legacy and rightful property before they kill as all." The crowd exploded in one combined voice saying his name in union as ordered the prisoner to be brought back to the cells for his slow starvation dead it was a good thing his patrols had picked one of them up a House of Saviesa member that came for shelter but was discovered if Iaro was right.

He walked away form the balcony having won many votes for him soon he would be crowned if everything went right. His way of walking changed after he had walked into the door going from slow mighty steps to quick controlled stepped walking in a steady pace to his office. The stone chair with many carvings in it was like most other chairs. Iaro wrote a letter quickly faster than most professional writers could as a assistant soon came into his almost completely stone chamber were his desk was attached to the floor just like his chair with only two lines of closets to fill up the still empty looking chamber "Mister your appointment with the black rock faction is in about ten minutes.Iaro nodded handing the small skinny for a dwarf the letter knowing he would deliver it were it had to be. He spread his arms as soon as he entered the hall were one of his contenders Lio Black rock of the black rock faction. The black rocks were a family of rich miners that had risen to great wealth when they struck the famed Mithril vein that even now supplied all the Mitrhil in the world wile also costing many lives as the depths were enormous to even find the smallest bit of the beautiful but indestructible so useless Mithil as you couldn't forge it or even hold it properly as the stuff was very heavy. Iaro hugged the man warmly but the two armors made it clear there aggression to the others he had put Lio on the spot where he now was in great despair as he had angered the masses to the death's in the Mitrhil mines making him have not even half of his previous profit and so he said "I accept the offer if you keep true to your promise of restoring the Recimite trade with the surface."

Recimite was a simple rock that only gave a bright light making it pretty handy but Ulrio refused to keep selling the stuff as it seemed to bring so much profit to the black rock faction that they would become to powerful for him. "I always keep my promises Lio now onto your part of the deal. You will retread from the stage of politics saying your voters to support me instead." The mighty merchant sighed but Iaro said calming and friendly "I'm sure you will be remembered with pride I will have great uses for the black rock faction." Lio seemed to be wrapped in the curtain of lies Iaro spun around him the old man had badly aged becoming naive just what Iaro needed. The two discussed for a short wile before both signed the contract parting ways one not knowing how he had been cheated and one knowing how he would use the other and this one was Iaro as he walked out of the chamber satisfied.

The Sumerian had awoken nearly a year ago, in an unknown and mysterious land far from Anidon, a region known as Onathus, existing on the continent of Anarthae, which lay far beyond the Aethiopian Sea. He had awoken in a very curios state with no memory of his origins, knowing only that he had come from a land known as Sumer, but as to where this land was to be found he had no clue, nor was he sure if it even existed in the same time frame as the one he was currently in. Several weeks after his awakening he had come into contact with a mysterious chronicler who told him the story of the four faceless warriors and where he might find them, thinking that they might help him in his quest to discover his past, he immediately sought them out in the great city of Thannhäusen. His wandering within the unfamiliar lands proved to be uneventful, he had not found any evidence of their existence, at least not in this particular city. Frustrated the Sumerian left the city, passing beyond Tannhäuser Gate and eventually passing by the village of Andal-Thul which was situated in the furthest north of Onathus.

He had been traveling for nearly a week, going all that time without any sleep, extremely tired and starving he dropped down beside a willow tree which stood just over the next plain, within seconds he was fast asleep. This had been a long journey, the recent battle with a lower level god, (a being barely beyond the rank of a demon) left the Sumerian utterly exhausted. Strange things can happen to a person after defeating a god, no matter how lower level it may be, the death of a spiritual being releases a tremendous amount of energy. This energy can do many wondrous things. In this case it had opened a portal which the Sumerian would eventually enter, once again he was transported to another realm, this region he would later learn, was that of the great civilization known as Anidon.

Cyazair, or "Onyx Lightning" when translated into english, was alone in the forest, practicing with his swords. Among his people, the sword dance he was doing was called the Flight of 1000 Swans. He would parry, stab, slice and spin through the air, all while having to balance on a log, or his toes. Feral elves act like nomads normally, wandering in packs together. However, Cyazair decided to walk a different path, as he got a note from his true brother that his father was dying and if he wanted to see him he should get moving.

Cyazair knew the rush he needed, but he didn't feel much for his father anymore. He grew up with his family of nomads, and they were what he considered his real family: they ate together, slept on the floors of caves and forests and passed the time honing their skills.

Iaro sat down in his cart that soon began to ride, the curtains were removed and the people cheered for there loved hero there were of course the angry looking people even one that threw a rock (it stopped in mid air and fell to the ground demonstrating Iaro's magic) to him. The cart was a complex's machine that if Iaro was right moved by using some sort of new found rock but he didn't know every rock kind he wasn't a miner. Iaro stepped out of the cart walking to the stage were Lio also stood the Black rock leader had put a not too bad made smile on his face as his supporters cheered for him "I Lio officially declare Iaro the best choice that we proud and mighty Dwarf can choose, I retread form my political position and make my self unelectable but know that he can do all he says." The crowd cheered even harder but Iaro wasn't planning to leave Lio in the dark as he gave the Dwarf a friendly handshake giving his own few words leaving then again the elections were short to come and Iaro had in the last count more than twice than the current lord of the Dwarfs leader Ulrio of The silver sword faction but still he was too proud to do the same as the Black rock's did but now Iaro had a grip on the deepest and highest of the mines plus his original trade control above ground so the lord of the Dwarf's could feel the seat of the kings sitting in the Dwarfen capital only known as Capital that is a build in a giant cavern as the city on top named Ilun grows with the day's as Capital was growing to big for the cavern Iaro wanted to make Capital and the on the surface resting city Iun on great Capital but both groups couldn't really live with the other.

Iaro stepped again into his cart that looked formidable and invincible platted with heavy steel that a horse couldn't even pull let stand use but now onto the next appointment for Iaro as he went to the barracks to talk to the captain of the high guards that served as elite force that seemed to have spotted some helpful resources that could increase the economical place of the dwarfs.

Cyazair was nearly to where the Deep Elf city was. It wasn't that far from the dwarves, as they were avid trading partners, even though the Deep Elves didn't associate with anybody but their own kind. Cyazair, while younger, had always wondered during his studies why the Deep elves were so secluded. Was it fear of the world, or fear for their safety? Were they paranoid, or simply Shy? He would never know, as he would never live under ground and would miss seeing the sky.

He was nearing the entrance to the underground, and was starting to get nervous. His friends always said he was claustrophobic, but he had never any chance to test out their theory, for there weren't many caves in the forest areas. But now, standing before the cave entrance, Cyazair began to get the sickening feeling that he wasn't going to enjoy being underground

A brown figure ran through the woods crashing through the undergrowth. Fear overriding its body's pleas for it to stop. The figure fell tripped by a root. A low menacing laughter filled the air as a white figure dropped from a tree above. "You thought you could escape me?" The figure asks mockingly. The brown Shape-shifter looked up in horror at the white figure. He stood well above 6 feet, his powerful frame tensed and ready to strike. The Brown shape-shifter knew he was going to die, Mutts rarely lasted long when away from their tribe especially when they killed someone. "You must know why I'm here." The figure said coldly, "I'm here to kill you and I won't be gentle about it. The mutt's eyes were drawn to the long spear the figure held. "By now I'm sure you know who I am so as I kill you I want you to say my name." It said coldly. Without warning it jammed its spear into the mutts right shoulder pinning him to the ground. The mutt let loose a scream of pain. "Good you can still feel, Now tell my why you killed those pups." It said pulling the spear out only to stab into the mutts left shoulder. The mutt looks at the figure tears streaming down its face.

"Humans..." It whispered. The white figure pushed his spear in deeper. "The humans have been gone for over 2000 seasons! Lie to me again and I will skin you alive!" He shouted. The mutt knew that this beast would indeed do it. Urthwhyte the White Hunter, mutts and pure bloods feared him alike. Few that he hunted ever lived, and if they did live it was because they survived a fate worse than death. "Please I beg of you I am not lying they are returning. They paid me handsomely to bring them those pups and out of fear I accepted. I beg you do not kill me." The mutt begged for his life knowing that it was useless. Urthwhyte crouched over the mutt. "If there are humans around I welcome them for my lord sent me to rid the world of them. I am the instrument of Parishio and he will revel in the thought of his chosen one doing his work." With this Urthwhyte spit on the mutt and in one fluid motion he drew his knife and slit the throat of the mutt. Standing he began to walk in the direction of the Dwarven Capitol.

The chestnut brown horse walked past the opened city gates as dusk approached. It was breathing heavily, froth dripped from its open mouth and its head drooped low. But the beast was strong and possessed great stamina, it had bore its rider swiftly to the city and was still not stopping. A hand patted it on the neck, "Rest easy good steed." Bor dismounted swiftly, taking the horse by the reigns. "We've reached, there is no reason to go tiring yourself out, we are not hunted folk."

The streets were busy with people even at this hour, although the local butcher shops and nearby farmers were closing shop and preparing to sell their goods the next morning, the jewelers, clothiers, weapon-smiths and taverns were just beginning to open. The city's night-life was only starting to awaken. Bor, though a large man, still had to weave his way through the crowds, for the people always seemed to have a destination and had to hurry to it. Newcomers, especially young children of farmers and other rural folk, wondered how a human was walking amongst the other races, for they had only ever heard stories of them, old wives' tales and tales to put children to bed. Bor, like all shape-shifters who walked in their other form, didn't seem to mind. He in particular didn't mind the attention. Let them gawk and point, he thought. If one of them inquires about who I am they'll know the truth soon enough. It was this attitude that had gotten him through many troubles in the past, a slightly laid-back way of looking at things.

His horse was dragging its hooves now. Bor spied a large tavern with surprisingly few people in it, but the night was very young, more might arrive. He looked up at the sign, the words The King's Stead were carved on a wooden sign above the door, the letters were painted in green. Bor raised his eyebrows, the tavern itself looked like hardly the place for royalty, he concluded it would be a perfect place for him. After he tied his horse close to a nearby trough full of water he entered to tavern and took to a table in the corner of the room. "You're a shape-shifter, aren't ye?" A barmaid said, walking towards Bor's table.
"I am, how did you know?"
"Yer all so big, lookit ye! Its no wonder people want ye to stay in...this...stay this way!" She was confused, trying to be frank but polite simultaneously.
Bor grinned. At least there was another way people could recognize him for what he really was.
"What'll ya have?" The barmaid inquired.
"Your stoutest dwarven ale, 2 pints of that and beef with bread and some mushrooms, no peppers."
He watched the barmaid leave and turned to watch the passers by moving about outside the tavern's large windows, their faces turning yellowish every time they walked across the building's front. The atmosphere within the tavern was jovial. Bor's heightened sense picked up a plethora of different things. The smell of elves, dwarves and other shape-shifters was thick in this tavern, but everyone was enjoying the night, for there wasn't much to darken these people's moods for a very long time.
Bor had been traveling the wilderness for months now, with no one but his steed to keep him company, it would be a lie to say that he didn't want to see cities again.

Iaro looked around as his horse did too they had heard something Iaro signaled the captain "I will go alone now report back when your ready." The dwarf wanted to argue the captain wasn't used to be ordered around but a look made him silent as he knew Iaro would win and become king sooner or later. The horse put it on a sprint and soon came the distinct color of white it had to be a shape shifter "Halt Shape shifter your entering dwarf lands what is your business here?" Iaro looked somewhat better "Is see you Urthwhyte, the white hunter." stepped of his horse resting his hand on his blade ready to act quickly, Iaro knew the white hunter the story was not too secret "All praise Parishio I'm Iaro soon to be the lord of the dwarfs and also a follower of our patron of damnation." Iaro was pleased with the appearance of a fellow believer as his face went back to cold and intelligent.

Cyazair decided to take a break from walking and entered one of the many taverns of the massive city. He noticed it as the infamous King's Stead which he had heard of on his travels from multiple drunks. His darker complexion shouldn't raise too many eyes, as the dwarves were more used to Deep elves than any other race in the world. That didn't mean, however, that everyone would avert their gaze from him, especially travelers. He entered a surprisingly empty bar room, and sat down at the bar. He ordered a simple glass of ale, nothing too strong so his senses wouldn't go crazy, like the time he had some dwarvish whiskey. Or at least, he thought it was whiskey, but it didn't matter. He couldn't taste or see anything for days after that, so he decided to play it with caution.

Roslyn managed to get inside the tavern behind an elf, leaving herself relatively unnoticed. She looked around, taking count of the people and measuring them as she walked past. She headed for the only other corner that was empty, keeping her head down and her hood up for she still did not have the fake elven ears that allowed others to hide so well. She rested her quiver and bow against the chair, her pack went beneath it, but she herself all but collapsed into it.

The barmaid came to her as well, full of questions, none pertaining to food. Her perky manner had Roslyn grinding her teeth. She might have wanted company, but this was pushing it.

"Stew woman, before I die of hunger." She growled, trying anything but to sound human. Perhaps she could fool this girl, but there were others inside this place she wasn't so sure of. She chose a city to a town... Stupid.

When at last her food was brought top her, it was plunked down, bits of broth sloshing over the rim and onto the table. She gave a nod of thanks and little else before attacking it.

(My apologies... I'm back on my phone... *sigh*)

Cyazair looked straight ahead, listening to a female to his right mow down on the stew given to her. He kept listening to her voice over and over in his mind, trying to pin point what made it stand out. She was obviously changing her voice to make herself sound gruffer than she should be, yet also he could sense a sound of panic. He sloshed the ale around in the mug, thinking over and over again. She didn't sound very elvish, unless his cousins in the woods or the mountain dwellers had all caught a throat disease. And she couldn't be dwarven, as she stood much taller than any male dwarf and wasn't stout.

That left him with 2 answers: Either this young lady was a lost shape shifter, somehow stumbling underground, or.... He shook his head, laughing out loud. There were no more humans. They had been taken care of by the gods, and were away where nobody else cared. He couldn't believe how foolish he was to believe that she was human. So, still laughing slightly, he turned to her.

"Aren't you a little lost, miss? Kind of odd to see one of you down in the depths of caves."

She swallowed hard on a bit of potato at the question. Roslyn turned enough to look over her shoulder, leveling him with a look. She wasn't surprised to see that this was one of the few she'd been trying to avoid. "I'm fine, thanks, and a change of scene is always nice, dont you think?" One of you... Great, what did he think she was. The woman turned back to her stew thinking belatedly that ale would have been wise. One could talk with a mouth full of food, but liquid was silencing. And it was, to her amusement, her own fault she couldnt even flag the barmaid down, weather the corners fault or her own attitude she could only guess.

(I'm sorry this isnt as long as I'd like it to be, but this is a pain on a phone..)

Bor burped louder than he expected. Pushing the plate that once held the contents of his dinner away from him he sighed. He leaned back in the chair and grabbed his second pint, this was his favorite part of dinner in a tavern. Now he could just relax and drink at his own leisure. The world could move by as slow as it wanted to, Bor didn't care. He watched a few people coming and going, they were talking about the events of the day. Dwarves muttered about the amount of rock they had mined this afternoon and attempted to outdo one another resulting in a complex web of lies. He listened to Dawn Elves discuss the land and how the movement of its people will affect the politics of the future. Then there were the shape-shifters in the room discussing a great hunt they were preparing and what the winner of the hunt would receive. Although interested in this challenge Bor was not a hunter, he had learned how to track well enough to find food but hunting another person was something he couldn't do, he just hadn't taken the time to learn that skill.

Then something hit him, a scent that he had never smelt before. It was shocking, there were so many people in this room, it could have been the combination of numerous scents that tricked his nose and so he dismissed it. But it kept returning whenever he turned to his right. He scanned the area and spotted a woman in the far corner. He squinted, her hood was up but he tried to see what kind of elf she could be, for surely she had to be an elf. But she never smelt like any of the elven races. Perhaps she was a new kind from a distant land. He was about to make a move and speak with her but a Feral Elf was at her side already. The scent still teased him. he knew it was coming from the direction that woman was in and he wanted to know what the scent was. So he waited, and watched.

Chewing on a piece of cattle he killed in a field a few miles back Urthwhyte looked at the Dwarven Capitol. Urthwhyte disliked Dwarves, hell he disliked everything. Not a full 2 miles from the City a dwarf had approached him. "Halt Shape shifter your entering dwarf lands what is your business here?" A low growl emitted from his throat. This dwarf had the nerve to approach the instrument of Parishio still mounted on his horse. "Is see you Urthwhyte, the white hunter." A small snort came from Urthwhyte as the dwarf dismounted. "This little one thinks he could stop me... what ignorance. I am the chosen tool of Parishio, none survive my onslaught." He thought bitterly as Iaro moved his hand to his blade. "All praise Parishio I'm Iaro soon to be the lord of the dwarfs and also a follower of our patron of damnation." These words caught Urthwhyte's attention. "You also follow Parishio?" He asked skeptically staring down at the dwarf. "You realize that if I find that you are lying... I will kill you."

"I guess so, but your kind usually stays in the open. They usually don't like being in massive, confining caves..." if he had continued speaking, he might have given himself claustrophobia just thinking about it. He then wondered why he kept his answer so vague. He knew the possibilities were slim to none of her being human, but he for some reason he had a longing for her to be one of them. He couldn't put his finger on why though. Was he curious about them, did he want to kill one? Or did he simply want to understand humans.

He couldn't believe what he was thinking, but his thoughts formed words, and those words were in a hushed tone. "Look miss, I can tell easily your not from here. Or from anywhere that I have ever seen. And the worst part is, so can most of the room. Most of us can tell your not elvish, dwarvish..." He looked at her with hard eyes. "So your either a shape shifter, or..." He couldn't bring himself to say it, so he drank some more ale and stopped there. He didn't want to offend a possible shape shifter.

She threw her head back and laughed, the hood artfully staying in place. Her heart pounding, her fists slammed into the table to keep from shaking, she stood to stare down at him, a dangerous glint making her eyes look almost feverish. "You half wit, put the ale down, I think you've had enough." She howled with laughter again, "Are you telling me you believe those fairy tales?! The time of humans is long past. And you accusing me, I've lost my appetite." She growled and tossed some coin onto the table, making for a hasty exit. "Can't even eat a decent meal without a bother."

Roslyn fled from the tavern and ducked into the first empty ally she could come by. She slid into a crouch, one hand on the hilt of her dagger, the other over her pounding heart. Bloody elf, being all inquisitive and scaring the taste for freedom clean out of her. What was worse, she realized in horror, she'd left her pack, bow, and quiver all behind. The bow was older then she was, a family heirloom, one of the first crafted with the god hunting in mind.

"Damn it..."

Cyazair simply smiled as she walked out, knowing more than enough of what she had told him. He had barely drunk anything that day, and he was only halfway done the mug when she accused him of being a drunk. The second thing, he noticed, was that she left her bow behind. If she truly had been angry at him, she would have stomped out and not fled like a scared child. And finally, he hadn't even said she was a human, he was giving the option that she might be a shape shifter or a human. So the fact that she was greatly disturbed by his notion also indicates what he feared.

But for some reason, he wasn't scared. Instead, he was extremely curious about her. He had never seen a human before with his own eyes, and now he had. He started laughing to himself, finished his ale off with one big gulp and grabbed the bow and quiver. He was determine to return it, hoping that this might make up for his 'accusation'. While he walked out of the tavern, he studied the bow. It was beautifully made, but had a sinister delight in its crafting. It almost seemed to embody those... what were they called again? Ah yes, God Slayers... He chuckled a bit, and continued to search. He looked down every alleyway, knowing a fleeing animal would hide in the darkest places.

But in the Dwarven city, Dark didn't always mean safe, and he knew that.

Bor continued to look on as the two of them exchanged words. He leaned back so far in his chair that it was on two legs. When the woman let out her burst of anger he got up out of the seat but stood there, watching her leave. He then turned his attention back to the Elf and watched him inspect the bow. Suddenly his head whipped around to the doorway, the scent, it was moving with her. Bor's brow furrowed, why hadn't the other shape-shifters caught the scent? He knew he had a very sensitive nose and that, to some degree, it was more sensitive than most shape-shifters, but the degree was small. In Bor's opinion the difference amounted to nothing. It puzzled hims that the others didn't seem to notice it.

This was when the Elf moved out. Bor threw money on the table as well and followed the Feral Elf down the crowded streets. He finally reached him and put a heavy arm on his shoulder. "You'll never find her like this." Bor said, and he sniffed the air. "I too am curious about her origins but it is not because of how she looks but rather...how she...smells." Bor grinned, "I care not if you find me odd, you wouldn't be the first."
There were even more scents out on the streets but even the slightest whiff of the strange one pointed Bor in a certain direction.

Iaro looked to the shape shifter with the cold face he always had behind his mask of friendliness "I see disgust in you am I'm offended but you a warrior of skill could tell if I'm lying or not." Iaro looked the shape shifter right into the eye's cold knowing that he gave the warrior the choice between him lying or a acceptance of lack of social skill "I would appreciate a little respect as I have for you any interest in a interesting thing to know? Human are real there coming back from the depth's maybe some survived maybe the weak four have pitied them I don't know but I think our god would have interest in there destruction but I think having a famed white hunter leading the genocide would be greatly positive any interest? We can talk here if your having interest of course I can't then talk to you personally as my reputation is of great importance as the elections are coming." Iaro didn't change his expression as he would have done normally instead he mounted again with a quick movement beginning a slow ride expecting the white shape shifter to follow him for a while "I will sent a trusted person to bring you reports of my status but I think you have to get used to humans there a strange kind to fight with a lack of physical power but great skill and a collection of them make a fine force so I could give you a few locations of some humans to kill them of just to get too know the feared god slayers."

Cyaziar turned around quickly to find a strong, armored hand resting on his shoulder. He could tell that his man was a shape shifter quite quickly, just by the way he kept talking about his nose and how he carried himself. Cyazair smiled, though slightly cautious. He knew more than himself had found the lady strange, but he was curious as to why following him would benefit him at all.

"Interesting, good sir. I'm glad to have a shapeshifter with a keen nose to help me return this bow." He held up the Recurve bow for the man to see. "I am Cyazair, of the Feral Elves. I would like to know who my partner for this expedition is, if I may ask." He laughed slightly. "And i do not find you odd. You just unique, like everyone else."

"Indeed, we are unique but you cannot argue that there is a little something strange in all of us." Bor grinned, looking down at the elf. "I am Bor of the South Clan." he shook the Elf's hand. "I came to this city to uncover the secrets of stone, and if any of their properties would aid in controlling our 'darker side' as some call it. I did not, however, expect to be in pursuit of a woman who could be someone out of a storybook." Bor didn't want to say 'human' out in the middle of the street, he didn't want to have the woman imprisoned or hurt, he was just curious to know if she really was what he suspected.

"Well met Cyazair." Bor began looking around towards the alleys, seeing if he could pick up the trail once again. He found it. "Ah, we have our heading!" He hadn't been on many ships in his search for control over his alter ego, but his short time on a few vessels were enough for him to pick up some of the terms. He lead the Elf past the numerous people, weaving his way in and out of the crowds once again until finally they turned a corner an he looked down a dark, dirty alley flanked by two statues of dwarven architecture. "She's in there." Bor stated.

"I see." Cyazair nodded while they ran. Before they had found the alleyway, Cyazair also said "I came here for almost opposite reasons. You came for a cure, while I came expecting death. My biological father is dying, and he is a Deep Elf. I am looking for him, and had to pass through this fine city." He was impressed at the discreetness that Bor gave off. He said that they were looking for a woman, not a human, to avoid further conflict in the times ahead. Like Bor, Cyazair was also curious about the human race, and wanted to understand how they operated before he made an opinion on them.

When they stopped in the alleyway, after Bor spoke, Cyazair shrugged. "Well, it's a good hiding place, I shall give her that. Though, probably not the safest. I'm not sure of the crime down in the mountains, but you can never exercise too much caution while in alleyways."

She had all but backed herself in a corner with these two. She hadn't been expecting them to follow and that posed a problem. She could possibly fight off one, though she still felt stiff from a much too long sleep. But the both of them together would be a problem. Standing, Roslyn squared her shoulders, preparing for a verbal war. She faced them, "Come now boys, you aren't making a woman feel very welcome, chasing her all over the city like this." She swept her arms from her sides, an innocent gesture that showed the dagger beneath the cloak. But the bow and quiver had not gone unnoticed. "That... That does not belong to you, and I'd be grateful if you'd give it back..."

They knew, she thought in a dizzying mixture of horror and wonder. They knew what she was and by fleeing she had proven them right. A sliver off fear began to creep up her spine, turning her fingers to ice around the hilt of her only weapon. It was not an action of malice, but of self preservation. She forced herself to relax. Their body language posed no threat, from what she could see they held no weapons save her own. "Alright..." She swallowed hard, no longer making her voice, "You've hunted me. Now what?"

Dropping the now clean bone Urthwhyte leans on his spear. looking at the dwarf intently. "I see disgust in you and I'm offended but you a warrior of skill could tell if I'm lying or not." "Good he's not a typical no brained dwarf." He thinks mockingly. Returning the dwarf's gaze he seems to perk up at the dwarf's next words. "I would appreciate a little respect as I have for you any interest in a interesting thing to know? Human are real, they're coming back from the depth's maybe some survived maybe the weak four have pitied them I don't know but I think our god would have interest in their destruction but I think having a famed white hunter leading the genocide would be greatly positive any interest? We can talk here if your having interest of course I can't then talk to you personally as my reputation is of great importance as the elections are coming." He stood up straight and watched as the dwarf mounted his horse and began to trot away slowly. His words muffled by the wind yet heard perfectly. "I will send a trusted person to bring you reports of my status but I think you have to get used to humans they're a strange kind to fight with a lack of physical power but great skill and a collection of them make a fine force so I could give you a few locations of some humans to kill them of just to get too know the feared god slayers." Urthwhyte watched the dwarf go back towards his city. Urthwhyte sniffed the air and continued to walk to the Capitol.

Arriving to the City Urthwhyte looked around noticing the strange looks he received from the citizens. He looks at them a grin apparent on his canine face. He lets loose a mighty howl and watches as people run to the safety of their houses and the houses of anyone that will let them inside. Urthwhyte begins to walk down the street when he hears a low metallic clanking sound in the distance. The further he gets the louder the sound gets. As he reaches a small fountain the source of the sound is apparent to him. Guards surround him drawing swords and knocking bows. Urthwhyte looks around and lets out another howl. "Now I know dwarves aren't to smart but I know they do have a brain." He calls out mockingly as the circle of guards begins to get tighter.

Be on your toes kiddies, this RP isnt dead.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

I'm putting this on a temp hold till Cherry gets back.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

A shadow emerges from a pile of rubble covered in soot and blood. Standing Tall his 6'3" frame totally erect, his eyes scan the people around him. The figure throws its cloak off to reveal the Figure of a 17 year old boy, not quite a man and very far from being a boy. R3lly has returned from the plague known as "Incarceration" and he intends to make up for lost time.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Good luck to everyone on everything! Smile to a person because karma will on you!

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Sorry to hear that Roxxy. I hope things settle down for you soon. Plus, I'm still pretty excited to keep the story going, hehe. ^_^

And Cherry...I know you prolly won't read this for a while but for what it's worth, I'm wishing you the best. <3

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Thor. I told you when you entered Lins Keep that's as far as it would go. The story needs to develop further. I set this up for people to have a lasting RP that would fulfill to the very end. The fact that you and Cherry hopped on the bad-guy band wagon thrills me. But pull the reins boyo, the stories barely left the station.

I will deal with Lins invasion myself. Chill.

Now, I'm behind on homework, over tired from working 3rd shift and getting up early afternoon for a funeral, and emotionally unstable.

Cherrys MIA till further notice. Thor. I expect you to put your Keep escapades on hold till his return. We can continue the story elsewhere and inform him of things when he gets back.

Cheer up children. My weeks been hell and I'm still smiling.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

I'm a bit irritated Bashie but not angry and about the god modding part I'm also concerned about the bad guys being so close to there goal wile the good guys are just..... at the start so if I continue evil is kinda going to be victorious and I have experience to say that once evil wins people (I'm included) are going to be really annoyed.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Are you guys going to kill me for being out so long?

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Best wishes Cherry...

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Ehh, i'm not sure how much longer I'll be away. my mom is in the hospital and I'm not leaving her side. (call me a momma's boy i guess.) I won't be able to get to a comp for a while probably. So...just to let you know.

@Thorait: i don't mind if you god-mod Thanatos until i come back. if you do something i don't like with him, i'll just ask you to change it later.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Technically, starting Thursday, you're all off the hook till Tuesday.

Thursday, Thanksgiving/Black Friday begins.
Friday-Satuday I work
Sunday funeral
Monday My family is doing Thanksgiving

>> So yea... I do expect all of you to have posted by that time however.

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers

Hahaha. I like the way that sounds. Like some kind of superhero fall out or something. You can summon me to the field like that anytime, lol. ;D (and I DID post, btw. Not a ground-breaking, plot-twisting, hair-raising post, but...yeah, it's progress.)

Re: [OOC] The God Slayers
