Introduction
"They spoke as one; 'We are the Four Great Gods, we who claim Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Our brother has watched your world and deemed you guilty of crimes against us, thus punishing you to death. We who are Four have seen the error in his ways, we see that you are not perfect, nor free of fault, but are forgiven in these things with the love you hold for life and each other. Your cries and fears have been heard. These beasts can not be killed with merLe mortal weapons, but there is hope.' They spread their arms, the elements they possessed swirling around them with terrifying brilliance. 'Embrace us, promise us your loyalty and love, and we shall grant you our Gifts. With these powers you shall persevere and flourish.'"
All but the human race bowed down before them, accepting their gifts of magic, and together, were able to defeat the Fallen Gods monsters.
The humans, however, angered, rallied against their saviors, killing off Demi-Gods one by one. Soon they were known as God-Slayers, and feared by all.
Unwilling to eliminate them like their brother had tried to, the four other Gods locked the humans away deep underground, wrapped in cacoons of magic so that they might sleep until a prophecy could be fulfilled.
Now, three hundred years later, the Four Great Gods have disappeared and the magic surrounding the humans is beginning to weaken. Some have begun to awaken, and the world is not as they left it...

OOC Notes
But the God Hunt had been a horrible, bloody bath for man-kind, and she was guilty, just like all the rest. Cursed or blessed by an indefinitely long-lasting sleep she, her kin, and many more were hidden away, wrapped in crystalized magic until fate awoke them at long last. Though Odin, son of Lin and God of Death tried to shield them from the affects of time, many would never wake again, it seemed the younger were more apt to last through this hibernation. They barely aged, never felt the pangs from hunger or thirst, sickness would not touch them, and the very elements were what protected them. They were hidden from the world, seemingly vanished overnight, leaving other mortals to question the Gods actions. Where they dead, moved to another land like the Dragons had done? No one knew.
Now, six hundred years have passed since that silent night and the magic around the humans is beginning to breaking. Some have already begun to walk the lands once more, seeking old kin or a new start. Most have masked themselves, blending in as elves or staying away from living things altogether. There is no forgetting their past, no forgetting their treachery to the ones that gave them life...
Anidon is alive and flourishing. The elves have stepped up as the new, powerful, ruling race. They are a wise, stable people, this is clear to see. And though there is always conflict in someway, there seems to have been peace for many years. Trees and forests are healthy, crops ripe for harvest. The air is clean, the waters plentiful.
Why is it then, that she could not quite get a handle on things.
She rested just under tree cover, the city of Florlel showing over the crest of a hill. It glowed in a sun light that had just began to set, there would still be hours yet till darkness. She could hear the hustle and bustle of things from where she sat, though the wind was not strong enough to bring any smells with it. Out of habit she chewed thoughtfully on her lower lip, staring, lost in thought.
From what she had learned and seen humans were still next to nonexistent, especially in large places. There were too few of them to band together, fewer still to start anything worth finishing. She herself knew she was the first one to waken from her House and she had seen no others since her travels north. For a month she had hidden and prowled the night, sneaking from place to place without being seen or discovered. But now she craved the feel of people around her, needed human interaction, to hear another persons voice, a conversation, a decent meal. Anything but solitude and the night.
Roslyn stepped forward, adjusting the quiver and small pack on her back. She lifted the hood once more to hide her ears and a good portion of her face. It was a risk, she knew, going into a city this big. A town would be wiser, safer. But if she was caught, were would she run? In a city... It was easy to disappear. With one more contemplative nibble she started down the hill and up the other. She'd go into the city, find the first food stall she could, and eat. Her mind was made.

He walked away form the balcony having won many votes for him soon he would be crowned if everything went right. His way of walking changed after he had walked into the door going from slow mighty steps to quick controlled stepped walking in a steady pace to his office. The stone chair with many carvings in it was like most other chairs. Iaro wrote a letter quickly faster than most professional writers could as a assistant soon came into his almost completely stone chamber were his desk was attached to the floor just like his chair with only two lines of closets to fill up the still empty looking chamber "Mister your appointment with the black rock faction is in about ten minutes.Iaro nodded handing the small skinny for a dwarf the letter knowing he would deliver it were it had to be. He spread his arms as soon as he entered the hall were one of his contenders Lio Black rock of the black rock faction. The black rocks were a family of rich miners that had risen to great wealth when they struck the famed Mithril vein that even now supplied all the Mitrhil in the world wile also costing many lives as the depths were enormous to even find the smallest bit of the beautiful but indestructible so useless Mithil as you couldn't forge it or even hold it properly as the stuff was very heavy. Iaro hugged the man warmly but the two armors made it clear there aggression to the others he had put Lio on the spot where he now was in great despair as he had angered the masses to the death's in the Mitrhil mines making him have not even half of his previous profit and so he said "I accept the offer if you keep true to your promise of restoring the Recimite trade with the surface."
Recimite was a simple rock that only gave a bright light making it pretty handy but Ulrio refused to keep selling the stuff as it seemed to bring so much profit to the black rock faction that they would become to powerful for him. "I always keep my promises Lio now onto your part of the deal. You will retread from the stage of politics saying your voters to support me instead." The mighty merchant sighed but Iaro said calming and friendly "I'm sure you will be remembered with pride I will have great uses for the black rock faction." Lio seemed to be wrapped in the curtain of lies Iaro spun around him the old man had badly aged becoming naive just what Iaro needed. The two discussed for a short wile before both signed the contract parting ways one not knowing how he had been cheated and one knowing how he would use the other and this one was Iaro as he walked out of the chamber satisfied.

He had been traveling for nearly a week, going all that time without any sleep, extremely tired and starving he dropped down beside a willow tree which stood just over the next plain, within seconds he was fast asleep. This had been a long journey, the recent battle with a lower level god, (a being barely beyond the rank of a demon) left the Sumerian utterly exhausted. Strange things can happen to a person after defeating a god, no matter how lower level it may be, the death of a spiritual being releases a tremendous amount of energy. This energy can do many wondrous things. In this case it had opened a portal which the Sumerian would eventually enter, once again he was transported to another realm, this region he would later learn, was that of the great civilization known as Anidon.
OOC Notes
Cyazair knew the rush he needed, but he didn't feel much for his father anymore. He grew up with his family of nomads, and they were what he considered his real family: they ate together, slept on the floors of caves and forests and passed the time honing their skills.
OOC Notes
Iaro stepped again into his cart that looked formidable and invincible platted with heavy steel that a horse couldn't even pull let stand use but now onto the next appointment for Iaro as he went to the barracks to talk to the captain of the high guards that served as elite force that seemed to have spotted some helpful resources that could increase the economical place of the dwarfs.
OOC Notes
He was nearing the entrance to the underground, and was starting to get nervous. His friends always said he was claustrophobic, but he had never any chance to test out their theory, for there weren't many caves in the forest areas. But now, standing before the cave entrance, Cyazair began to get the sickening feeling that he wasn't going to enjoy being underground
OOC Notes
"Humans..." It whispered. The white figure pushed his spear in deeper. "The humans have been gone for over 2000 seasons! Lie to me again and I will skin you alive!" He shouted. The mutt knew that this beast would indeed do it. Urthwhyte the White Hunter, mutts and pure bloods feared him alike. Few that he hunted ever lived, and if they did live it was because they survived a fate worse than death. "Please I beg of you I am not lying they are returning. They paid me handsomely to bring them those pups and out of fear I accepted. I beg you do not kill me." The mutt begged for his life knowing that it was useless. Urthwhyte crouched over the mutt. "If there are humans around I welcome them for my lord sent me to rid the world of them. I am the instrument of Parishio and he will revel in the thought of his chosen one doing his work." With this Urthwhyte spit on the mutt and in one fluid motion he drew his knife and slit the throat of the mutt. Standing he began to walk in the direction of the Dwarven Capitol.

The streets were busy with people even at this hour, although the local butcher shops and nearby farmers were closing shop and preparing to sell their goods the next morning, the jewelers, clothiers, weapon-smiths and taverns were just beginning to open. The city's night-life was only starting to awaken. Bor, though a large man, still had to weave his way through the crowds, for the people always seemed to have a destination and had to hurry to it. Newcomers, especially young children of farmers and other rural folk, wondered how a human was walking amongst the other races, for they had only ever heard stories of them, old wives' tales and tales to put children to bed. Bor, like all shape-shifters who walked in their other form, didn't seem to mind. He in particular didn't mind the attention. Let them gawk and point, he thought. If one of them inquires about who I am they'll know the truth soon enough. It was this attitude that had gotten him through many troubles in the past, a slightly laid-back way of looking at things.
His horse was dragging its hooves now. Bor spied a large tavern with surprisingly few people in it, but the night was very young, more might arrive. He looked up at the sign, the words The King's Stead were carved on a wooden sign above the door, the letters were painted in green. Bor raised his eyebrows, the tavern itself looked like hardly the place for royalty, he concluded it would be a perfect place for him. After he tied his horse close to a nearby trough full of water he entered to tavern and took to a table in the corner of the room. "You're a shape-shifter, aren't ye?" A barmaid said, walking towards Bor's table.
"I am, how did you know?"
"Yer all so big, lookit ye! Its no wonder people want ye to stay in...this...stay this way!" She was confused, trying to be frank but polite simultaneously.
Bor grinned. At least there was another way people could recognize him for what he really was.
"What'll ya have?" The barmaid inquired.
"Your stoutest dwarven ale, 2 pints of that and beef with bread and some mushrooms, no peppers."
He watched the barmaid leave and turned to watch the passers by moving about outside the tavern's large windows, their faces turning yellowish every time they walked across the building's front. The atmosphere within the tavern was jovial. Bor's heightened sense picked up a plethora of different things. The smell of elves, dwarves and other shape-shifters was thick in this tavern, but everyone was enjoying the night, for there wasn't much to darken these people's moods for a very long time.
Bor had been traveling the wilderness for months now, with no one but his steed to keep him company, it would be a lie to say that he didn't want to see cities again.

The barmaid came to her as well, full of questions, none pertaining to food. Her perky manner had Roslyn grinding her teeth. She might have wanted company, but this was pushing it.
"Stew woman, before I die of hunger." She growled, trying anything but to sound human. Perhaps she could fool this girl, but there were others inside this place she wasn't so sure of. She chose a city to a town... Stupid.
When at last her food was brought top her, it was plunked down, bits of broth sloshing over the rim and onto the table. She gave a nod of thanks and little else before attacking it.
(My apologies... I'm back on my phone... *sigh*)
OOC Notes
That left him with 2 answers: Either this young lady was a lost shape shifter, somehow stumbling underground, or.... He shook his head, laughing out loud. There were no more humans. They had been taken care of by the gods, and were away where nobody else cared. He couldn't believe how foolish he was to believe that she was human. So, still laughing slightly, he turned to her.
"Aren't you a little lost, miss? Kind of odd to see one of you down in the depths of caves."
OOC Notes
(I'm sorry this isnt as long as I'd like it to be, but this is a pain on a phone..)
OOC Notes
Then something hit him, a scent that he had never smelt before. It was shocking, there were so many people in this room, it could have been the combination of numerous scents that tricked his nose and so he dismissed it. But it kept returning whenever he turned to his right. He scanned the area and spotted a woman in the far corner. He squinted, her hood was up but he tried to see what kind of elf she could be, for surely she had to be an elf. But she never smelt like any of the elven races. Perhaps she was a new kind from a distant land. He was about to make a move and speak with her but a Feral Elf was at her side already. The scent still teased him. he knew it was coming from the direction that woman was in and he wanted to know what the scent was. So he waited, and watched.
OOC Notes
OOC Notes
He couldn't believe what he was thinking, but his thoughts formed words, and those words were in a hushed tone. "Look miss, I can tell easily your not from here. Or from anywhere that I have ever seen. And the worst part is, so can most of the room. Most of us can tell your not elvish, dwarvish..." He looked at her with hard eyes. "So your either a shape shifter, or..." He couldn't bring himself to say it, so he drank some more ale and stopped there. He didn't want to offend a possible shape shifter.
OOC Notes
Roslyn fled from the tavern and ducked into the first empty ally she could come by. She slid into a crouch, one hand on the hilt of her dagger, the other over her pounding heart. Bloody elf, being all inquisitive and scaring the taste for freedom clean out of her. What was worse, she realized in horror, she'd left her pack, bow, and quiver all behind. The bow was older then she was, a family heirloom, one of the first crafted with the god hunting in mind.
"Damn it..."
OOC Notes
But for some reason, he wasn't scared. Instead, he was extremely curious about her. He had never seen a human before with his own eyes, and now he had. He started laughing to himself, finished his ale off with one big gulp and grabbed the bow and quiver. He was determine to return it, hoping that this might make up for his 'accusation'. While he walked out of the tavern, he studied the bow. It was beautifully made, but had a sinister delight in its crafting. It almost seemed to embody those... what were they called again? Ah yes, God Slayers... He chuckled a bit, and continued to search. He looked down every alleyway, knowing a fleeing animal would hide in the darkest places.
But in the Dwarven city, Dark didn't always mean safe, and he knew that.
OOC Notes
This was when the Elf moved out. Bor threw money on the table as well and followed the Feral Elf down the crowded streets. He finally reached him and put a heavy arm on his shoulder. "You'll never find her like this." Bor said, and he sniffed the air. "I too am curious about her origins but it is not because of how she looks but rather...how she...smells." Bor grinned, "I care not if you find me odd, you wouldn't be the first."
There were even more scents out on the streets but even the slightest whiff of the strange one pointed Bor in a certain direction.
OOC Notes
OOC Notes
"Interesting, good sir. I'm glad to have a shapeshifter with a keen nose to help me return this bow." He held up the Recurve bow for the man to see. "I am Cyazair, of the Feral Elves. I would like to know who my partner for this expedition is, if I may ask." He laughed slightly. "And i do not find you odd. You just unique, like everyone else."
OOC Notes
"Well met Cyazair." Bor began looking around towards the alleys, seeing if he could pick up the trail once again. He found it. "Ah, we have our heading!" He hadn't been on many ships in his search for control over his alter ego, but his short time on a few vessels were enough for him to pick up some of the terms. He lead the Elf past the numerous people, weaving his way in and out of the crowds once again until finally they turned a corner an he looked down a dark, dirty alley flanked by two statues of dwarven architecture. "She's in there." Bor stated.
OOC Notes
When they stopped in the alleyway, after Bor spoke, Cyazair shrugged. "Well, it's a good hiding place, I shall give her that. Though, probably not the safest. I'm not sure of the crime down in the mountains, but you can never exercise too much caution while in alleyways."
OOC Notes
They knew, she thought in a dizzying mixture of horror and wonder. They knew what she was and by fleeing she had proven them right. A sliver off fear began to creep up her spine, turning her fingers to ice around the hilt of her only weapon. It was not an action of malice, but of self preservation. She forced herself to relax. Their body language posed no threat, from what she could see they held no weapons save her own. "Alright..." She swallowed hard, no longer making her voice, "You've hunted me. Now what?"
OOC Notes
Arriving to the City Urthwhyte looked around noticing the strange looks he received from the citizens. He looks at them a grin apparent on his canine face. He lets loose a mighty howl and watches as people run to the safety of their houses and the houses of anyone that will let them inside. Urthwhyte begins to walk down the street when he hears a low metallic clanking sound in the distance. The further he gets the louder the sound gets. As he reaches a small fountain the source of the sound is apparent to him. Guards surround him drawing swords and knocking bows. Urthwhyte looks around and lets out another howl. "Now I know dwarves aren't to smart but I know they do have a brain." He calls out mockingly as the circle of guards begins to get tighter.
